Review of Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Brampton Still waiting to hear back from the Owner, General Manager or someone. No has contacted or apologized for the horrible customer experience I received as a long term guest. This is a formal complaint to the General Manager & owner Attached are the photos of the state of my room when I returned from the hospital Cleaning lady said she did make the bed, I showed Rose the house keeping manager & she agreed the bed was not made The cleaning lady was giving me dirty looks and kept saying I was lying & the manager only told her to stop Attached are the photos and I'm still waiting for a Manager..Kimberly is busy and I'm here sitting at my door waiting for the matter to be addressed I'm posting this experience on all of Social Media and will never return to this location. Guest Services- Maria, Natalie, Melinda, & Mansi have been polite & made my stay stress free. Management should take notes from them.

Hotel is OK. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean. Upon arrival our check in was smooth and organized. Pool is still in COVID Mode at this location and you need to go the front desk to get access. Very annoying and likely would not come back because of this. Hard enough to travel with kids! Lobby is very hot and so are the hallways. Hotel may not have the AC on yet. Location is good.

I have stayed in this hotel for about six months off and on (over 100 nights) for work this year. Front desk and restaurant staff were incredible and the only positive thing about this hotel. At least one, and frequently both elevators are not working. It's obvious major repairs are required. There are severe settling issues all around the hotel. Just walk around the patio and the sidewalk and notice the cracks, gaps and the displaced pavers. The hot water was out for 2 days then Luke warm for a week after that. Frequently the lobby bathrooms are out of order, lights in rooms and common areas are out, the smoke detector fell off the wall, and in my current room there is water dripping from the light over the tub (pictured). The property has numerous skunks living on it, and nothing has been done to remove them. The housekeeping is atrocious. (Food on floor from previous guests, toothpaste on most bathroom walls, trash littered hallways daily, overflowing trash cans, hair in rooms, etc) This hotel is more Best Western or motel 6 quality but with Marriott pricing. The Fairfield across the 410 highway is a much better option. Just about anything around would be cheaper, nicer or both.

This was by far the best hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. We were in town for a u9 baseball tournament and the manager went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great and accommodating. Amazing location as everything is right out the front door as well. Manager deserves 5 stars alone.

Friendly staff. Good location as it is close to the airport, restaurants, Costco, and groceries. The room is okay... needs more lighting, only lamps are available and no ceiling lights. This makes the room quite dim. Consideration for a continental breakfast option.

OK so to begin we were checked in by a wonderful staff member (Melinda) who was friendly, professional, polite, and just awesome! Rooms were clean and spacious, with the smart TV in the rooms being an excellent touch! We did have trouble with the TV but it turned out to be a loose connection in the back (room 201), so just check that if you have a hard time! The hotel was quiet, clean, well located, and the staff was all super awesome (Especially Melinda!). The coffee shop downstairs serves Starbucks too which is a huge bonus! Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice stay close to Canada's Wonderland! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We chose this hotel due to an expo we were attending in their conference centre. Firstly, the staff are great, very helpful and very friendly. The hotel however is really dated and cleanliness is clearly not their first priority. Our room was visibly dirty in some areas and we found a dirty underwear in the sofa bed that our children were going to sleep on!!!! It was midnight when this had happened and our children had already fallen asleep on our bed, so we chose not to change rooms at that hour and disrupt their sleep. The staff once again were very apologetic and noted my complaints regarding cleanliness! The other thing that was weird was that the slides at the pool aren’t opened during the weekday which was really annoying, as our children were looking forward to that. Sadly I don’t think we will be returning here!!

We were pleasently surprised by our experience in this Marriott. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was really good and our room was spacious and clean. It wasn't being cleaned during our stay, but we knew this beforehand and it didn't matter to us. We had an amazing view over Toronto. Would definitely recommend and come here again.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, I had a very negative experience. The hotel charged my international card with actual charges instead of a security hold, causing me to incur currency exchange fees and bank charges. When I raised my concerns the front desk lady was extremely rude and unhelpful, refusing to even explain the situation. She simply told me that it's the hotel's policy and that I was welcome to complain if I wanted to. I found the staff to be unprofessional and their service to be mean-spirited. The fact that they were unwilling to acknowledge their mistake was very frustrating. The bathtubs is clogged, the bathroom still has hair or previous guest and heater sound is extremely loud that you can’t sleep as it’s airblow heating. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and courteous stay. The entire experience left a sour taste in my mouth, and I will be sure to avoid this hotel in the future. If you're looking for a stress-free and friendly hotel experience, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

The staff at front desk were always happy and helpful! The staff in the Bistro were also very happy, helpful and kind! They worked so well together! Great team, great vibe. Even when it was super busy they were just calm and kept smiling! The staff really made this stay awesome! There's a Tim Hortons across the parking lot plus walking distance to a few other places. The gym is small but had all I needed. There is also an indoor pool.

Great hotel for a weekend getaway or whatever time you want to spend. Very clean. I had no problem whatsoever, and everything was nearby walking distance. Food, gas station, shopping center ,Wendy's, ihop you name it. It's in a great location.

We went to enjoy family time. We were so excited to all go to the pool area. Hot tub broken and waterside was not on even though the hours on the door said it should be open. Front desk shrugged their shoulders and said I guess the lifeguard is not coming today? Also breakfast not included like the Best Western. Take out breakfast is available until 10am but very expensive.

Staff was friendly but not very helpful. We picked this hotel for the hot tub and waterslide. Hot tub not working and no one showed up to supervise the waterslide. I went to front desk and they said they called the person for the water slide but they don't know where he is? That was all. They said sorry about the hot tub. No further action was taken. My kids were very disappointed. So were my husband and I for the hot tub. Also to get into the pool you have to go to the front desk and get them to open door. It's very cold as the outside doors are there. Then you have to wait until they are finished with front desk customers to get into pool area. They will not give guests keys to pool. Very inconvenient. Make sure you go to bathroom and get everything you need for the pool at the beginning because if you leave you have to go back to front desk and wait in line again to get back into the pool.

Don’t like to leave bad reviews. But just wanted to aware people with electric cars, it says that they have a charger on the site but they don’t, and the closest charger is 30 km away. Rooms are very dirty, we even found blood spots on the chair and blankets and towels. Never seen anything like this in Mariott. Very sad…

Nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff, especially the individual running the bistro. They took extra time and care to ensure my stay was excellent. The free gym was adequate and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The area is a bit sketchy, though this is of no fault to the hotel and I never felt unsafe on hotel property. The close proximity of a Tim Hortons made for some interesting (read: concerning) characters roaming nearby, though.

Hotel staff was great, room was exactly as expected. Common space in the hotel Was excellent and staff allowed our large group to have a portion of the space for gatherings- which was amazing. If you bring your family here because it has a pool- don’t. Slide was rarely open and they offer swim lessons to the public closing it to their patrons. After the lessons they closed the pool for maintenance. This was our only disappointment!

Amazing place, exceptional location, in the middle of a city but feels quiet. Room felt spacious and well distributed, bed very comfortable, each room seems to have a coffee machine, a microwave and a fridge. Loved the couch in my 1 Queen-bed room. Lots of parking, close to so many amenities/restaurants. Special thanks to Michelle Strong who helped with outr meeting's organization and setup, and to Kleiber, who went above and beyond looking after us during our 2-day meeting - couldn't have asked for anything better. This hotel also has a pool with slides and a whirlpool, though we didn't get a chance to use it, but maybe next time!

It was a OK place. With Marriott name and high price, we expected better. The parking area need renovation. The rooms need renovation. The first room they gave us had dirty sheets and then the next room had dirty roof and falling roof paint. I stopped asking another change. But I was sneezing all the time possibly with dust. Do not recommend.

Staff was amazing. Everyone at the front desk is wonderful. Pool facilities are nice, it’s a salt water pool and very nicely heated. Hot tub was spacious. Water slide is closed on weekdays. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are a bit dated but it is an older hotel. Elevators are a bit slow in the evening. Did have any hot water on the first evening of my 3 night stay. Didn’t bother me but it is a factor. If you stay here keep in mind it is very close to the arena. A lot of out of town hockey teams stay here for their tournaments. I unfortunately stayed here during a tournament and it was a zoo with teenage kids running wild. They were obnoxious at the pool yelling and screaming and taking over the facilities, not respecting it’s a shared space. Running up and down the hallways and banging on doors. If you value your quiet this isn’t the hotel for you! The IHOP next door is awful. Go somewhere else for breakfast. Didn’t eat at the hotel so cannot comment on that.

It used to be a great hotel to stay at - we've started here a number of times over the past few years. This time, putting aside the room charge mix up, the hotel's overall quality has dropped, significantly! The quality of the rooms were bad, maintenance needed, general upkeep slacking. We asked to be moved to another room and the new room, besides being a little smaller has a strong smell to it.

The ambience and environment made a lesser mortal like me feel special for the entire time I was inside the premises of this hotel. The staff was courteous beyond the point of duty and it was perceptible in their behavior through their consistency.

Thank you for an awesome experience. My family and I had a wonderful stay. Very welcoming staff. Room was very clean and well house kept. Special thanks to our house keeping at room 423 for finding our lost items.

I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Brampton for couple of days last month. Front desk and restaurant staff were extremely nice and friendly. The room was very spacious and clean. The best part about this hotel is that they serve Starbucks coffee.😊 There is lot of parking spots available and the location is great as you have all the restaurants at a walking distance. I would recommend staying here if you are in the vicinity and looking for a place to stay. I had a very pleasant stay.

The hotel's lobby and staff are great. The rooms are decent but the washrooms really need a facelift. Discoloured grout, sanded holes, old faucets etc really bring the place down. It's a shame as the staff is so friendly and the location has so many amenities and food spots nearby. The view is not what you'd come here for as it's either road or the parking lot. This was my least liked Marriot experience.

Was not bad but was not the best Marriott I’ve ever stayed at. The pool was open with regulations of course with Covid however the waterslide was closed and the whirlpool was also closed with no intentions of opening there was no continental breakfast like described. However there was a bistro where you could order food but it didn’t seem that appetizing. you could have outside food or drink in the lobby or the pool which I thought was kind of odd considering they didn’t serve much. The staff here is great they do their job and they do it well. I would stay again I would just have lower expectations than what I’m used to in the states.

The good, the staff was pleasant and helped us out with a request after check out. Thankyou. The bad, their were garbage bags in our hall way for about 3 hours after check in. Our room #305 over looked the parking lot, this room had alot of noise from the parking lot and surrounding streets. You could hear cars and motorcycles racing at night. No fault of the hotel staffs. I would recommend an even room number on the other side of the building. It might be better.

2nd time staying here. Rooms are clean and decent. Staff are helpful and friendly It gets 3 stars from me due to some frustrating things... the 'restaurant' is more of a Cafe, and has very limited hours. Went at 1030 to get something for breakfast, and it was closed... completely. Ok for a quick stay, but nothing fancy,, but then I guess that's to be expected.

I would stay at this Marriott again. The location is good, especially because there is a Wendy's just a few steps away in front of the building and there is a Walmart, restaurants and other shopping areas right across the street. It's also not that far from Pearson Airport (use the highway or local roads). I was genuinely surprised that the room had a sitting area, which can be closed off from where the bed is; the sitting area in the room had its own TV and the bed area had its own TV...not that I watch TV a lot, but it's interesting what the room was equipped with.

Disappointing that I couldn't use the pool after work because they rent the pool out to a school Monday to Wednesday from 4 to 8. Due to covid, they don't clean rooms unless you ask, and then they will do it on the 3rd day. They didn't tell me that their policy has changed. I've been staying at this location for years because the location is excellent, but I think I'll give the Hilton a try next time.

Very expensive for an outdated hotel. Nice lobby and modern doors that unlock via the Marriott app, but everything else is just.. ehh. The mattress was so firm it hurt my hips, there were some random drill holes on the top of the desk in my room, and there was no maid service my entire 5 day stay because of the pandemic.

Nasir and Jasmin, and the rest of the staff at Courtyard, I’d like to thank you for your excellent service in accommodating my wedding guests over the weekend! The staff were very kind and very understanding and were able to go above and beyond for myself and our party. The rooms were very clean and spacious and we had an excellent time. Thank you again!

Another great experience at a Marriott property. Everyone was so pleasant and the room was great! I have never been disappointed with Marriott.

Decent hotel. Didn't have any cots available or extra linens for pull out. Room said it slept four but the pull out was a single. Cleanliness was alright. Front desk staff were cordial but not like the service went over and above.

Pros: close to everytbing, super nice staff, popl amd workput room really nice. Very quiet. Mehs: Bed was comfy, pillows not great, they were all kind of broken down. Bedding was fine. Amenities fine. Cons: Shower grout was moldy. Bathroom not the cleanest. TV is old and sound and picture awful, couldn't connect Netflix it's too old a TV. Beatable light missing the button to turn on. Coffeemaker didn't have the right pot and would fill and nearly spilled everywhere. Not great value for the money.

I will never stay at this hotel again. If I could, I would give zero stars. I was arriving very early after a red-eye flight and messaged the hotel to see if a very early check in was available. They said they couldn’t confirm until I arrived and suggested I book a hotel for the previous night. So while I was in between flights at the airport, I booked a night. Unbeknownst to me, I accidentally booked two rooms (the website was very slow at the airport). We get to the hotel and they said they cancelled my reservation because I didn’t show up before midnight - even though I booked based on their suggestion, knowing full well my situation. Thankfully they let us check in early but they didn’t tell me they’d charged me twice for the previous night or I would have discussed the charge right then and there. I didn’t notice this error for a couple of weeks - I just thought there was a residual charge for incidentals or I would have questioned the charges earlier. I called the hotel and they wouldn’t refund me for either booking. In these challenging times they now have $500 of my hard-earned money. The hotel was pretty empty so they must be hurting themselves. To top it off, when I checked in they condescendingly gave me my elite welcome gift which was a bottle of water and a cookie. Just icing on the cake as I look back at my stay. I have never had a hotel handle a situation this way, especially when I do something on their recommendation (or at least meet me halfway before); I was appalled. I am a lifetime platinum Marriott member so have stayed at Marriott’s all over the world. I’ve made the odd mistake but other hotels follow the customer is always right and do their best to ensure customers are happy and satisfied. This hotel failed miserably.
