I don’t know where to start from. So let me first talk about the positive experience. The size of the room and the Size of the bathroom was generous. The room and the furnitures indicate the lost glory of the hotel. Location is very good as well. Now the negative side: there was a TV in my room, which was nothing more than a show piece, no remote, no cable connection. The hotel offered free breakfast but during my five-day stay all they offered were bread and butter/jam, stale croissants, yogurt, coffee and juice. Honestly I was not expecting anything fancy but stale food! Now the biggest issue I had. Once I use the bathroom in the morning, I could not use it within next 2-3 hours. The cistern filled very slow and it took almost 2-3 hours to get refilled. First day when I complained, the lady on the front desk said she will inform the house keeping but next day when I complained again, the gentleman on the front desk responded, “yeah it takes time.” Seriously! This is not the first time I am using bathroom and I know how long it normally takes to fill a cistern. Instead of maintaining the hotel his response was “it takes time!” If your guests can not use the bathroom, then you are not meeting the criterion of a basic hotel.

Location is the only redeeming quality. Price is over the top for what you are getting. Building is well over due for a renovation. Rooms are dated and are showing their age. Shower had awful pressure and cold is hot and hot is cold. The bathtub fitting was falling apart. Room was not that well cleaned, was rushed. Windows had a film that’s pealing off. People I’ve dealt with at the front desk where nice and prompt. Only reason to stay at the hotel is the location and it being cheaper than what’s around.

Friendly service and lived the variety of the complimentary breakfast. The beds weren't the most comfortable but the blankets and pillows felt great! The price was reasonable for the area as well and within walking distance of everything you need and more. They also got our room ready a couple hours early knowing we had a very long day. Would definitely stay here again. 😊

Bath was dirty when we got in. Hairs laid all over the place. Rooms dirty as hell. Stuff on the ground, the roof is slowly starting to break up. Staff is so friendly. Hotel owner does not know how to run a business, breakfast is not really breakfast, I would rather recommend to go to a hostel that’s way cheaper. Shout outs to the friendly staff that made a -200 Star stay a 2 star stay .

If I could rate this lower than 1 star I would. The owner should be ashamed of how beat down this hotel is. Not just the rooms, but the halls as well. There walls are riddled with holes and marks, the carpet in my room was stained, one of the night stands was broken, wallpaper was peeling off of the walls, and I'm not sure if the floor was softer than the bed. The only redeeming quality is the location. Next time I'll gladly pay a few dollars more for a hotel that can at least keep its rooms in decent shape. All I can say is STAY AWAY!

I stayed for two nights during hot muggy August weather. The first night, I realized that the A/C was broken. It was blowing room temperature air, not cold air. Called the front desk, they sent someone to look at the A/C, then said there was nothing they could do about it that night, nor could they move me to another room, because the hotel was full. The next afternoon, I asked them to send someone to fix it, they said someone would be up in 20 min. Waited an hour, then called back. They said someone would come up immediately. Waited another half hour. Finally they called me and said the repair guy was too busy to come to my room. By this time it was also too late to switch me to another room, because the hotel was full again. So I had to spend another sleepless night in a hot stuffy room. How was I compensated? They knocked off the price of parking for ONE of my two nights (parking approximately $33 per night.) So, the question is, what is the value of a cool, comfortable hotel room compared to a hot stuffy room that's so warm you can't sleep? I think it's worth a heck of lot more than $33. For two sleepless nights I think the MINIMUM they could have done was to comp my parking for both nights. Not to mention the hour and a half of my time they wasted that I could have been out sightseeing. This two day trip is my ONE vacation I take each year. I'm not fancy, all I want in a hotel room is a quiet, clean room with A/C. The fact that they couldn't even ensure that I had an air conditioned room for the second night shows how little they care about customer satisfaction. Not to mention the fact that the hotel was completely booked for both nights, so they're doing steady business, but they were too cheap to even offer anything close to adequate compensation to a deservedly dissatisfied customer. Also, did I mention the elevator was broken, and I was on the 4th floor with a heavy cooler? To sum up, don't stay at this hotel if you want an air conditioned room, good customer service, or a working elevator. I didn't get any of those things.

Stayed for two nights. The staff was very friendly, and the area is excellent. I didn't stay much in the room, but when I did it was fine. I don't consider myself super tall (~184cm/6ft) but the bed was a tad too short, and the room was rather cold. The heater worked fine, but it was a bit noisy. All in all, I guess it's as expected. And it was cheap.

Decent looking, spacious bedrooms, well maintained bathrooms. The location is probably its best feature, and the free coffee always available near the reception. They could improve check-in & check-out times so guests don’t have to wait for a room.

Very nice hotel! I spent 5 days there in December 2019, and found the staff to be very nice and polite. The hotel room had what it needed, was clean and well taken care of when I arrived and the staff were very helpful with any questions. The hotel is very well placed downtown, the room was a great size for the price and I found it to be a very nice experience. Will definitely use again and recommend!

I reserved a room with a king bed and when we got to the room there were 2 double beds. We didn’t complain as we only needed the room for the night. We requested a late check out as we were staying out late and wanted to sleep in, and they told us we could check out at 12 instead of 11am. Housekeeping was knocking on the door about to enter the room at 10:20am! Why when regular check out was 11am?! Horrible experience and would not go back there.

I understand that this is a cheap, 2-star hotel, but I have a bare minimum expectation that a hotel room have a functional bed, fubctional toilet, and locking door. My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 days. The toilet did not work in our room (wouldn't flush properly). Staff were notified on the second day of our stay in the morning, and nothing was done. We reported it again on the morning of the third day, and we were told we could switch rooms if the problem persisted after maintenance was done. When we got back to the room on the evening/night of the third day, the toilet flushed properly once then stopped working again. We only had a few hours left to use the room by then, so we didn't bother switching rooms, but the whole situation was very annoying. There were more problems than just the toilet, though. The maid would take towels that we intended to reuse out of our room, but would not replace them. So, throughout our stay we had less and less towels, requiring us to pick up towels at the front desk to bring to our room. I've also never been to a hotel where there wasn't a person available at the front desk. This place is cheap, but I imagine they can still afford to hire front desk staff cover each other off. I came in around lunch time and there was a sign on the front desk saying that the attendant was out for lunch. "Sorry for the incontinence" lol, but speaking of problems with the digestive system... the breakfast provided was also quite bad. They ran out of plastic knives and pastries the one time we had breakfast there. In addition, the milk sits out on the counter for the duration that breakfast is provided, so you get warm milk with your cereal. It's a shame that this hotel is being taken care of. The hotel is in a great location and has a nice, old-style building with a lot of history. But, it seems like management doesn't maintain the property or standard of service.

You definitely can't go wrong booking this hotel with breakfast! It's not the best, but it's clean, comfortable, and the cheapest in town. The location is perfect; lots of different kinds of restaurants, clothing stores, and hair salons etc, plus Whole Foods is right next door!

The room was relatively comfortable for its price and so was the location of the hotel. The only problem is that the breakfast lacked extremely and there was barely anything besides the most basic cereal and bread. The elevator was quite old but still spacious and the sofas in the hall were very slightly worn out.

Booked this hotel because it was budget friendly and the location was good. On my arrival the hotel lobby was very dirty. The staff member working was not able to tell me the nightly rate even though I had booked the room weeks before over the phone and told the rate was $130 including parking. The halls up to my room where very dirty. My room was very dirty, and in disrepair. Towels and shower curtain where very dirty / stained. No microwave or bar refrigerator. Tv only had 3 channels / was not working properly. On checkout the bill was very confusing / had extra “taxes”. If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would!
