My wife has been a member of the Soho house Toronto for 2 years now and I always enjoy visiting with her as a guest! Today was a fabulous brunch with friends for a birthday. We had the pleasure of being served by Karen, who was absolutely fantastic. Her attention to the table was diligent and swift. The food... WOW! I enjoyed the cold buffet, with fruit, cold cuts and an assortment of dishes. Followed by the most amazing fried chicken, macaroni and back bacon. My wife always indulges in the salmon, seafood and oysters. While my toddler ate more selection than I could keep track of. The freshly made crepes at the end, sealed my stomach with a kiss! I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend anyone that’s considering becoming a member!!! UPDATE!!! Just spent New Year’s Eve 2020(Phantom of the Opera theme) with our friends on the first floor. Photo booth, live singing and performances!!! The “2020 vision” drink was amazing and the music was on point ALL NIGHT!!! We had the most amazing “ring in the new year” experience!

I was a Soho House member for more than 5 years and enjoyed visiting the House to work, connect with friends and entertain clients. Unfortunately this year I decided to cancel my membership due to the organisations policy on levy of membership fees during the pandemic. Soho House Toronto continued to charge fees and recorded them as credits to be used for online products or in-person once the house opened. From March 2020 to mid-July 2021 the house was closed. Once it opened again, Soho's parent organisation determined that all house credits would expire September 30th, leaving members barely two months to utilize a significant amount of credits (in my case nearly $1000). Despite Toronto being the most locked down of all the houses this policy was inflicted on its members. When I called membership headquarters I was told that I should have used my credits before the house opened on product. It's unconscionable to tell a member that they should have used their house credits on products that they may not want instead of the experience of being in the house enjoying the ambiance and food. This was a cold and bureaucratic handling of the pandemic for Toronto house members. I've rated 3/5 instead of 4.5 to express my displeasure and to warn future potential members. I also asked to have my membership cancelled. I just don't feel like the organisation cares for its members as it did when I first joined. Perhaps it's recently plans of becoming a publicly traded company will further compound its descent into a profit-focus organisation as opposed to quality. Pretty sad because this was a great place to work and hangout.

I enjoy the vibe usually and they have great drinks as well as breakfast , but their dinner menu is exceptionally mediocre unfortunately. First few times was good but have since gone down hill in terms of quality. Under cooked pasta, over cooked gnocchi that tastes like baby food with bland toppings and the toppings on their pizzas all the way down to the tomato sauce you can taste is not fresh and indeed canned.

I went during TIFF on a Tuesday. It wasn’t very busy. I liked the rooftop terrace a lot more than 1st floor venue. Crowd is nice and different dj per floor.

Soho House is a private members club. They have locations worldwide. Soho House Toronto hosts lots of events including several TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) events. I have been a member for many years and enjoy hosting clients at Soho for lunch and dinner. I have also hosted team events in the private space upstairs. Service is friendly and food is good.

Meh, they want $1500 or $5000 upfront and won’t let you take a tour of the house or try it out for a night. “We are very inclusive” but I’m sure I’d get bored of the pretentious rich who think they are great artists

I went here for an open mic / live music event. The atmosphere was really nice and the drinks and food were great. My amaretto sour was delicious.

Cozy and definitely a relaxing place to grab a beverage, but I have no idea what all the hype is about. Its just a bar.

Enjoyed some cocktails on the rooftop of this 4 story building. Each floor with its own vibe and plenty of space to work.

An incredible and private space for a both intimate and delicious meal! No photos of the food because photos are not allowed inside, but it was a truly one of a kind experience. I also loved the pace of the service, it was not rushed and we were able to dine and converse for as long as we wanted.

We created some flowers and peach still life with my business The Moody Blooms for an Amazon studios event “A league of their own” in the upstairs bar. Was a beautiful intimate space, with historic details. The staff were very helpful.

I visited as a guest. Beautiful historic building with polite and professional staff. I had to wait for the member to arrive, so I had to sit at reception. Unfortunately, it's a very narrow space that had entering and exiting guests almost tripping over me. The alternative was to wait outside. In the rain/heat/cold, that wouldn't be very comfortable. As a private, exclusive club, this area should be much more accommodating; perhaps designating a space to wait in the downstairs bar. I was the only one waiting at that time, but can imagine how crowded and dangerous it would be if there were more people. The place is highly inaccessible for those with mobility concerns. The walk upstairs is long and can be exhausting for individuals with health challenges. Maybe there was an elevator, but there was none within my eyeline, nor was there any signage indicating that one existed. We sat on the rooftop patio, which was nice. Loved the shades overhead to keep the sun out. Staff was pleasant and attentive. We ate the calamari (amazing!) and the frites. I had the Hugo Spritz, which was delicious and perfect for a sunny day on a rooftop. The space was average and I've been to better restaurants and event spaces than this, however, as a club used for meeting and networking (at a time other than a mid-afternoon on a Wednesday), I'm sure it would be practical.

Very disappointed that the Sunday buffet brunch was discontinued , the a la carte menu had limited options, restaurant was half empty at the time we arrived which was at 1 15 pm, we will look for another Sunday brunch venue

A bit of an old-school look, which I liked. A nice selection of specialty cocktails along with the usual choices. I didnt eat but overhead another table saying the food was very good.

Received 2 undercooked chicken sandwiches twice. First one wasn't edible whatsoever, almost 1/2 of the second sandiwch was barely edible. Of course they didn't charge us for it, but for a place that especially has a membership, that's frankly a huge letdown and disappointment.

Post pandemic lockdowns Torontonians have been crazy about, well going out - and this is one of the best places to go. It's a private club with all the perks - you can typically get a table on short notice, the staff are warm and lovely and the food and drinks are delicious.

Disappointing. Soho Toronto has not changed its menu in 4-years! Food is boring and redundant. Selection is very limited and quality has declined. Service is always outstanding, so it's sad the food is such a let-down. As an EveryHouse member, I'm extremely disappointed with Soho Toronto.
