Proud
Haitian
here.
My
partner
and
I
absolutely
love
this
place.
The
environment
is
warm,
and
the
staff
is
friendly.
I
love
hearing
Haitian
music,
and
catch
myself
dancing
while
eating.
Oftentimes,
the
Haitian
co-owner
is
spotted
in
the
corner
mixing
the
beats.
You
can
tell
he
is
passionate
about
the
restaurant,
and
enjoys
seeing
others
appreciate
it
too.
Many
of
the
arts
in
the
bar/restaurant
are
by
the
co-owner.
There
is
even
merch
available
to
purchase
on
display.
As
for
the
FOOD,
it
all
tastes
like
my
mom
and
grandmother's
cooking.
The
kitchen
staff
are
Haitian.
The
flavour,
presentation,
and
quality
are
consistent
with
every
visit.
I
love
the
specialty
drinks
and
the
availability
of
Caribbean
rums,
specifically
Haitian
Barbancourt.
During
the
holiday
season,
they
serve
traditional
drinks
and
meals,
like
Kremas
and
Soup
Joumou.
Honesly,
if
you
haven't
gone,
you
should.
Whenever
I'm
missing
my
family's
cooking
or
am
looking
to
vibe
downtown,
Rhum
Corner
is
the
spot.
I
recommend:
Griot
(fried
pork)
or
the
fried
chicken,
the
macaroni
au
gratin,
the
rice
and
beans
and/or
the
plaintain/Bannan
(haitians
do
plaintain
the
best).
Everything
is
good
on
the
menu...I
have
tried
everything.
