Great little coffee place on Bloor West where the "walkable" competition is essentially 2 Starbucks, and a Second Cup, neither of which hold a candle. This place is quaint and charming with a GREAT selection of coffees to choose from. They will grind for you to take home, and also have fresh- brewed for immediate enjoyment. The staff were very nice as well and seemed to care about their customers, as they are doing a GREAT job providing safe social distancing. A great little coffee shop! Will absolutely return!

The spot itself is pretty nice. The decor, the ambience, and overall vibe made you feel like this was truly a place that cares about their coffee. They have a ton of loose leaf tea options as well if you’re into those. I bought a latte and tried their iced coffee. The latte was okay. Not the best I’ve had, nor did it satisfy my craving. The iced coffee was awesome though. Clean floral taste with a bit of a kick.

I really like this cute cafe and the patio has nice vibes. But some employees are very abrasive and quite rude, basically demanding a 18 % tip and wanting to charge $1.69 for a glass of water affer spending over $20 doesn't sit right to me, call me crazy but 18% should not be the norm for terrible not existsnt servicecautomatic

The experience was nice. It was a quick in and out coffee stop. The coffee was good. They are a roaster.

I got my breakfast there. They were friendly and it was a cozy place. I loved their coffee diversity the most. You can get different types of coffee l. Not that much diversity on the cookie side though.

This place felt like a warm and welcoming environment when we first entered. The staff here were very knowledgeable and helpful when we asked about what type of coffee we should try. Their selections are great with many different flavors. The food all looked quite fresh and delicious. It will be great to enjoy a cup of our Brazilian/peruvian blend of coffee over this weekend.b

Their breakfast bagel is second to none. We miss the old spicier salsa.

This place is excellent. Delicious coffee, friendly staff. I have been ordering coffee bean delivery while living under covid-restrictions, and delivery has been extremely prompt. Great place - a jewel in the Bloor West neighbourhood.

I’ve had 2 coffees so far from Coffee Tree. A medium roast Ethiopian and Guatemalan. Both were similar in roast, which suggests consistency and a dedicated roaster. They made simply brilliant espresso, the Ethiopian in particular. Big ooey gooey delicious shots! Ethically sourced no less. Some of their beans reach some pretty steep prices, staff can help colour in why. I will be back many many times ❤️

Excellent place to get a good coffee! ☕️ Went in for lunch around 12:30 and it was pretty quiet, only half of the table taken. But thats probably because they are good at making yummy coffee but not a lot of options for lunch. The coffee was good, but the food was okay-ish. Would go back for coffee but not really for lunch. Otherwise the place was cozy and clean, the stuff very friendly and helpful! The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing.

A great coffee shop in Blood West Village. Delicious coffee and treats. It is just around the corner from the Jane Street subway station. You can also get a bag of quality ground coffee or coffee beans to take home with you.

Walked in for a brewed coffee - delicious! Saw the fancy coffee machines in the front window and had to check out the place. Beautiful and clean displays of pastries. Staff was very friendly and kind. Love the vibe and enjoyed my stay in the seated areas in the back. Will definitely come back to try the empanadas, next time I’m in the area!

I unfortunately have to give a 1 star rating. I was there last week for lunch with my mom. Their seating area is a bit small. We placed our order, but my mom tried to look for 2 seats and there was no seating available. Keep in mind there were two customers, sitting in 2 different tables, simply reading their respective magazines and nothing else. The staff made no effort for us to to have a table. Instead, we were told we could take our order to go. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, a blueberry tart, and 2 cappuccinos. Who wants a cappuccino to go? We left the café. An effort should have been made to speak one of the customers who was just there, reading.

I am a coffee lover and a person who is always looking for the best places to enjoy this dark soul warmer. This lovely place deserves praise on so many levels: for design, for the cozy and welcoming atmosphere, for cleanliness, and friendly staff. Above all, for a high-quality coffee rosted by them. Also, for an orange-cranberry scone that hit all the gourmet spots in my body without causing a sugar rush. Bravo. ❤❤❤👏👏👏

Coffee was good, baked goods were quite stale. The roaster in the front window is a nice touch. Not a good place to get some work done. Staff seemed almost offended when I asked if there was Wi-Fi (there isn't).

I absolutely love this coffee shop. The coffee is consistently delicious and variety is impressive. As a Chemex coffee enthusiast, I always here to stock up on my favorite beans. I like that they grind the beans in front of you to ensure maximum freshness.

Great place to grab a coffee. I liked that they offered a variety of coffee along with organic selections. I was however a bit taken back that they do not provide internet to their patrons. This might be a first for me as I work remote and often like to grab a coffee and work for an hour or two at different coffee shops. Overall, great place but I would highly recommend offering interenet within the coffee shop.

Large selection of fresh, flavourful coffee beans. They can make you a delicious brew too. Comfortable environment to sit and enjoy a coffee in the morning

Looks like this place is practicing dishonest business philosophy. I feel like I was cheated on. Wanted to get for myself midium cappuccino, but was offered and after repeating order for medium size, was insisted upon that only 8oz cappuccino was available. It is what it is, paid 4.25 + Tax, 10 min later having coffee "in-house", I paid attention that the price 4.25 CAD is actually for 12 Oz cup, not 8 Oz. Asked why I was charged more for less of the product, realizing they got caught red-handed, they offered another coffee. But I just got robbed out of my wallet and you got caught and you like... "Oh, here is your wallet...", not even "Sorry"! I paid cash but no receipt was issued. A little side cash away from the owner? I don't know... Also, I wanted to have coffee in the house, but I was given coffee in paper cup, no question asked, although they have ceramic cups. Who has cappuccino on the go? Off course I wanted it in the house in ceramic cup! Less work for more money! No cups to wash.. Huge Disappointment! No more visits to this place!

One of a couple of our “go-to” coffee places in Bloor West Village. Good coffees, pastries, great fresh-to-order breakfast bagels, other good eats. Little outdoor seating on Bloor if you like. Lots of table space inside

Long-time (since 1988) destination for great on-site roasted beans! They do a good breakfast sandwich and have locally sourced bakery and snack items. The coffee bar is great; there are always interesting drip coffees available as well as espresso-based options from their extensive range of fresh-roasted beans. There’s a nice patio out back when the weather is nice and a fair amount of indoor seating. They provide friendly service too!

Wow everything was delicious, the chicken inside that empanada just melted in my mouth 💛 great coffee selection! My new favorite spot ☕

It's my favourite coffee store in the area, but that's because I prefer nutty, smooth coffee over ones with bright acidic flavours. The pastries are fine, but I like their breakfast sandwiches, which are not complex, but simple and slightly addictive. They also sell coffee and will grind it upon request.

The coffee itself is a bit underwhelming. The espresso tasted rather flat and bland, which was surprising given that a regular size Americano is around $4 and the iced coffee around $4.5. We’ve been to a fair number of coffee shops around town but this one we won’t be returning to

If you are a coffee lover, the Coffee Tree Roastery is a must!!! Their Grinch latte which is a non-coffee beverage is also a matcha lovers MUST TRY! Not only is the coffee extraordinary, but so is the ambience and all their wonderful staff! This café came through big time for me in my efforts to find something special to do that was coffee related for my husband’s birthday! WOW and thank you!!!! I had called at least a dozen places asking if there were any workshops or anything that was a knowledge based, teaching piece in the area of coffee and this place was one of the only places that was quick to say, “sure, we can set something up,” without hesitation!!!🙏 The staff working here are deeply passionate about what they do and so incredibly knowledgable and super friendly! I spoke with Julia who reassured me that she would make it special and she even called me back to confirm everything.
What this team of staff set up for this special birthday event totally surpassed my expectations and it was so extremely memorable and informative and a birthday event that will never be forgotten!!! The birthday boy was so impressed and learned so much!!!!
I would very highly recommend this café, not only for their exceptional coffee, but the atmosphere there is superb! We learned about the history of the place, the different coffee methods, the grind, frothing, how to make the perfect coffee at home and so much more, and the intimate sit down format allowed us to ask questions. In addition to that, each staff member spent time with us discussing their area of expertise; simply tremendous!!!!! THANK YOU Robin, Julia and Olivia for making this a most remarkable coffee experience that will forever enhance coffee drinking for life and is a major highlight in birthday celebrations!!! ☕️💗 Thank you for being so accommodating given the fact that this happened at the onset of the pandemic mask mandates being lifted! Truly an outstanding experience overall!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ PLUS, PLUS, PLUS

Mediocre cafe. The beans are fresh roasted which is good. But staff doesn’t know anything about coffee or how to make a proper espresso based drink. Food is also bad. And it’s dark and run down inside. Many other better cafes within a couple of blocks.

Walked in here for the first time today. The coffee is absolutely awesome! Friendly staff and great overall environment. Definitely going to come back! And to the other female customer who made the suggestion to me to try oat milk, thanks! Definitely sticking to that from now on!

White chocolate mocha was delicious! Atmosphere is chill with good music playing. Was just a little shocked that a small cup was almost $6. Other than that it was great!

I'd call this one of Toronto's hidden gems, except I can smell the delicious coffee roasting a good half block away. Some places I have cherished memories of because of the people I have brought with me; others because of the people I have met when I went there. Coffee Tree has both kinds of memories for me: great coffee, excellent food, and wonderful people. It's an example of the best of the hospitality industry.

I have been to the Coffee Tree on and off over the years. Our family love the fact that the beans are roasted on the premise. The store is clean and the staff knowledgeable. I send The Coffee Tree Coffee overseas to my cousin. She always enjoys the treat. When the pandemic struck we did not frequent the store or Bloor West in general. This year things are better and I went to the store. It is disappointing that you can't find Vanilla-Hazulnut anymore. I bought two one pound coffees. I was upset that I had to put a 15% tip on my purchase. That know I won't return there. ever again. If you need to goushows

Last time I drank such a wonderful coffee in Turkey..They use the amazing way of roasting coffee. Thanks for petting some energy into me every single morning I came here!

It was alright, the service was a little cold and the coffee itself didn't taste freshly roasted. Process and atmosphere are great, seating is nice. I would come here for a little patio time in the summer but there are much better COFFEE shops.

Very cozy friendly Coffee shop! Perfect place a morning calm coffee or a double meeting or a date. Very kind staff, and very delicious Cinnabon, and only for 3.50$ Parking can be difficult but it’s not impossible Washrooms are clean
