Finally tried the black sesame latte and matcha sesame ring at Tandem Coffee! The latte ($5) had a good flavor, but some sesame didn't melt at the bottom. The ring tasted great but was quite small…At $7.8 after tax, it felt a bit expensive for the portions. Overall friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. Worth a visit for unique coffee flavors and small bites.

We had a really great time here. The staff were very friendly and the prices were really good. We had a cappuccino and filter coffee and we both really liked it. I would definitely recommend the cappuccino. The back area was cozy and would be great to work there for a few hours.

The best coffee and nicest staff. Hands down my favourite place to get coffee in the city (I’ve tried many!). They’re always so helpful and friendly and take the time to explain their different beans and brewing methods. Their chocolate chip cookies are also delicious. I’ve been hoarding their Hatch coffee ‘supernova’ beans since I’ve been away in Portugal because I love their coffee so much!

Great coffee and refreshments, highly recommend!! The owner really spend time to have interaction with customers, ask their preferences in their order, very friendly and nice to talk to. Will definitely comeback with friends.

I've walked by this place a hundred times on my way home and finally stopped by today. This lovely little coffee shop has such polite and patient baristas and delicious coffee! I got the the cappuccino with oat milk and browsed the pop up vintage wares they had for sale in the store while my drink was being prepared. The interiors remind me of the vintage Vietnamese cafes I visited in Saigon. Would definitely stop by again when I'm in the neighborhood.

Cozy little spot with a very dainty vibe in Corkstown. The staff is very friendly and make you comfortable. I tried the sesame latte which was really good. The inside is very crafty and nice. Will be back to try more

The general vibe feels very Nippon inspired, as do the beverages, which I must say are delicious. On top of tasty drinks are equally tasty pastries! My fiance and I both had the sesame lattes (mine with a shot of espresso) and the sea salt sesame chocolate cookie. All in all, a cute shop, great vibe and scrumptious treats.

The best cafe in downtown east and one of the best in Toronto for sure. The coffee is always top tier, made with lots of care. The baked goods are unique and delicious. The owners are the friendliest people ever and it's a joy to greet them when you enter. The atmosphere is super cool, with local art, a record collection, and old film cameras all on display. Long live Tandem Coffee!

Excellent and friendly service! The location has so much character. My matcha latte was delicious, and not overly sweet like most places. Looking forward to trying their coffee, came home with a bag of beans.

Tandem is definitely a gem in Old Town Toronto. The owners brew good coffee, and serve you with their warm hospitality. The café itself is bright, yet cool even when the weather is hot outside. The only minus for me is that they don’t have wifi :< But I’ll come back solely for the coffee, especially cold brew. So good!

I absolutely love visiting this coffee shop in Toronto. The staff is incredibly friendly and the coffee is delicious. They also offer some amazing sweet treats, such as their sesame cookie or the cookie shaped like a cat. If you're not a coffee fan, I highly recommend trying their black sesame latte. It's a real treat!

I stumbled upon a small charm of a coffee shop downtown, and it's an absolute delight! Their exceptional coffee make it a hidden gem in the heart of the city. A must-visit for coffee lovers seeking a unique and inviting experience.

Favourite coffee spot! Be careful because their coffee is super hot but that’s how it should be. The signature drinks are amazing too, especially the black sesame latte, just thinking about it is making my mouth water. They bring pastries from neighbouring Roselle which is an added bonus!

Fantastic coffee! It may be the best my husband and I have ever had in the city. We’ll definitely be back. The couple at the counter who are likely the owners were extremely nice, I hope all their customers repay them with kindness.

a hidden gem in corktown! if you're looking to get away from hustle and bustle of downtown, or on your way into the office to continue the grind, you have to check out Tandem Coffee! Immediately greeted by the wonderful and friendly staff, this store is the perfect pause to the outside world. the baked goods and drinks smelt and tasted as if they were made with care and affection. my matcha latte was a great first hit of caffeine in the morning. the baristas not only are super knowledgeable about coffee and coffee-making in general, but also extremely kind and seems to remember each and every one of their regulars. with no wifi and plenty of tables, it's a great place to unwind, catch up with a friend, meet your reading goals for the year, or finally be off the grid.

Loved the coffee and the baked goods we got from here! We got iced lattes and filter coffee - you could tell both had really good quality coffee used. Also got the chocolate walnut banana bread and a blueberry muffin - both delicious and fresh!

A local bustling coffee shop with impeccable service! I ordered an iced matcha latte which came to +$7. It was a lot more milky and diluted than I wanted, and unfortunately clumpy. I tasted about 3 clumps of bitter matcha. The baristas/servers are so incredibly kind and attentive, providing great suggestions when prompted. The ambiance is cozy yet bustling with how many people come and go.

I've been coming here for the past five years and I can confidently say this coffee shop does not only serve perfectly made coffee and other specialty drinks, but Michie and Eugene are the sweetest and most skillful baristas you cand find. The moment you walk in, you will be greeted with warmth and smiles (even behind masks). And the coffee is always on point, no matter what your choice is. They also offer both healthy and indulgent treats, some vegan and GF friendly. Try something different like the black sesame latte and make it dirty with an espresso shot, pair it with a matcha ring cookie or a decadent chocolate chip cookie. Tandem Coffee never disappoints and always gives me joy. Thank you, Michie + Eugene.

One of the best coffee shops in town? One of the best coffee shops in town! Selection of quality roast from different regions around the globe and great pastries - in a cozy store with nice service and a welcoming touch of omotenashi. See you there!

Black Sesame Latte and anything from the pastry bells. This is my favorite coffee shop in North America. The two owner/baristas are an incredible team, preparing every beverage with detailed care no matter how large the crowd is.

First time going to Tandem today. Had an incredible drip coffee. Some of the best I've had in the city. Very reasonably priced. Coming back here again (and again)

Outstanding little coffee shop with excellent service and quality coffee. Baked goods were also tasty, and the art added to the vibe.

I can say that without a doubt this is the best coffee shop I have ever been to. Personally, I am not a coffee drinker. But the hot apple cider and hot chocolate are to die for. I attend school near by and I'm always greeted with a smile and warm welcome. This will always be one of the best places I've been, I completely recommend it.

Best coffee shop in the city, hands down. If you're lucky and get there early you can also snag one of their delicious pastries for breakfast! I often buy my coffee beans here, of which there is always a big selection. But for me, the standout is their matcha latte! So delicious. The owners are lovely as well and it's always nice to see their familiar faces.
