It's an escape from the city. You still hear the planes take off from Billy Bishop, but still much quieter compared to being next to Lake Shore. There is a long trail for walking and cycling to travel around the island. There are parks and little areas to rest and picnic. There is even a shoreline to access the lake to swim (too many rocks to be considered a beach). Overall, this is a good outdoor space.

Still love this place. Desperately miss the old water parks and Nintendo/Lego lands from my childhood. But they did a good job with the waterfront trail making it a beautiful walk with my kids. I really hope they bring something besides the Nordic spa to the water front park area.

Went to Snow Magic last night for my birthday as a surprise treat, and it was great! So unique, the artists did an amazing job with the creations and the lighting was very cool! Even has its own soundtrack on an on-site radio station. Going to definitely go back to have a ride in ‘rat car’ (if you don’t know you’ll see what I mean…check the website!). Well run with friendly staff too. My only advice would be to make sure the kids, if you have, have a good seat on drivers side as most installations are on that side of the path.

Immensely satisfying visual treat to witness the golden hour. Winter sunsets in Toronto can be best experienced at Ontario Place. You get different views of the city from Ontario place on each season. The winter icicles, the spring blooms the summers and the fall all have their unique appeal. A good place to walk with your friends and family and enjoy the views of lake Ontario. If you love nature amidst the humdrum of city Ontario place is the best place you should visit. It has ample parking space and if you want to come on your bike e-scooter you can do that as well. The nearest TTC street car stop is either the Exhibition loop or strachan Avenue. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. It's my favourite spot for photography throughout the year in Toronto.

Couldn’t get enough of sunset views! This will take a whole day to enjoy the whole both islands which Ontario Place is located on. Variety of fun activities for everyone!

The complex has a variety of attractions, including a water park, a theme park, a concert venue, and a marina. There are also a number of restaurants and bars on the premises. Ontario Place has been closed since 2012, but the government of Ontario is currently in the process of redeveloping it. The new Ontario Place is expected to be a more family-friendly destination, with a focus on nature and recreation. The redevelopment of Ontario Place is a controversial topic. Some people believe that the complex should be restored to its former glory, while others believe that it should be demolished and replaced with something new. Only time will tell what the future holds for Ontario Place. However, it is clear that the complex has a rich history and the potential to be a valuable asset to the city of Toronto. Here are some pros and cons of visiting Ontario Place: Pros: Variety of attractions Family-friendly Beautiful location on the lake Potential for redevelopment Cons: Closed since 2012 Some attractions are outdated Can be expensive Overall, Ontario Place is a mixed bag. It has a lot of potential, but it is currently in need of some TLC. If you are looking for a fun and family-friendly day out, Ontario Place could be worth a visit. However, be prepared for some disappointment, as many of the attractions are not currently operating.

I have been going to Ontario Place since I was a kid. Now almost 60! Still a great place to hang out! Sad that some of the exhibits have gone, but new ones still keep cropping up! Centre piece is the Budweiser Stage! Good venue! But being the old buy, I miss the old rotating stage. But that is me! Good place to visit and take the kids ( or not )

The place was awesome, great views and serene ambiance. The only problem when I went to watch a show (Cirque du Soleil), was that we had to walk ~30 mins to reach the venue. There were no buses allowed in the area, I think

Nice place for a leisurely walk with lovely views of Lake Ontario and the Downtown Toronto skyline. Plenty of public washrooms located throughout & a few places to buy food & drink. Can be accessed by streetcar and a few venues on-site, with concert halls & the football stadium nearby

Ontario Place is a very nice place for a walk around and for taking photos. The beach and waterfront views are stunning. Also a very private area unless there's events going on. It's connected to Trillium Park so you can hike along the water up to the amazing skyline views. As a proposal photographer this is a great spot for someone whose looking for a private and romantic waterfront location to pop the big question! Parking is expensive especially if there are concerts going on!

Ontario Place is a great place to visit with family and friends. Fresh air with a breathtaking view of Toronto Downtown , CN tower and much more. It has a huge parking space. If you are away and want to use public transport to get there, I recommend to use subway trains to reach union station and get on the 509 tram/street car to reach the lake shore Blvd.

Attended Cirque Du Soleil. Great show, as always, but $35 to park? Complete surprise. Thank you for your reply. First time on Toronto since 2019, pre Covid, won't be back too soon at those prices. Special event parking out in the sticks is $5.00.

This is a beautiful place. I have had great memories coming to this place as a young adult...great fireworks, live bands, drinks... Well , it's a bit sad to see white paint is covered with rust spots...and pavilions are left in poor conditions. The architecture is still a sight to behold after all these years.

There is a little known BEACH (pebbles instead of sand!) that you can access from the footbridge near the IMAX theatre entrance on top of the hill ! Also a closed down water park that is fun to explore and lots of dog trees and beautifully plentiful foliage! Great place for the family to come enjoy the water and bring the dog etc!!

Only thing on downside for being outside, you still have to way over to other side to have a smoke and sorry 😞 I drink, I smoke. Line up's where not to crazy and fast getting in. The lawn has a thick layer of bugs for about 35ish min's and then good to go! You can sit on the lawn or in chair, but once the show starts you won't see. I was a fare bit of foot traffic leaving and line up of cars to get out!!! But at the end off the parking lot there is 🍨 and a 🌭 cart beside that was very tasty...guys running it that night whipped through there line up's super fast!

Went to the Art of Light event going on... it was an amazing free event... The walkways were well kept, I saw the odd Staff member making sure things were running smoothly. Great place to visit in general to view an amazing City Skyline.

Hidden gem of Toronto. You can rent out the firepits but there's plenty to do otherwise. Places to skate, roller blade, beach volleyball, go for a stroll, or just sit back and enjoy the waves. Good vibes and good people. Shops for ice cream and else. Hidden from the core of the city so it's a bit quieter. Great place for a picnic or a date. Get out there!

Went to see the Lumiere light show on Sunday night. Was relatively quiet. The show only had a few pieces. There were 2 people from the park lighting up the fire place which was nice.

One of the best places in downtown Toronto. It offers a beautiful walking track by the harbour, multiple barbecue pits for rental and benches to chill by the lakefront. It also has ice skating rink during winters and the lights during the night time are mesmerizing. I love going to this place during summers.

Great place to come and enjoy the lake views. It's a bit desol3since it's closure but still very safe. It's cool to see the urban decay and enjoy the nature.

Since Covid is keeping us away from indoor dining, we decided to pick up some Portuguese food and enjoy it down at Ontario place. We loved our views, the moon over the water, the cinesphere, the city lights and the colorful CN tower.

**So I went to Echo beach, which part of Ontario place. This venue is for concerts. I just saw Volbeat there last night. Sound is awesome. There's a good view, even from the very back, and you have the lake right there. I love this place for Concerts over indoor spots like History.

Good walk and maintained path. Had enough dustbins in the small trail. Offered great views of downtown Toronto. Can sit on the rocks near the water. Smallworldmusic organized a free concert and it was good and happened in a ground.. could've had a few more shelters as it drizzled and not much place to take shelter for a sudden shower. Should have few more restrooms.

I used to go to Ontario place everyday for my evening walks when I was living in downtown. I always enjoyed my peaceful walks. There were so many events happening every other day in summers. I used to bike as well with my friends and sit at the shore for sometime to enjoy sunsets.

Sooo sad that this site is now completely lost. No more public access and most of the trees are being chopped down to make way for a private spa. Definitely not what the waterfront needs.

Ontario place is undergoing a redevelopment. It should be one of the best places to check out in Toronto once the redevelopment is done. You can still take walks/jog in the area. It has a nice little beach as well.

My go to place to watch sunsets. It never disappoints. The sunsets are beautiful to watch at, you also get amazing city views. It can’t get better than this. Walk around in the evening and watch the sunset later in summer, it’s perfect.

I planned a day trip to visit Ontario Place for the first time. I found free parking in a wonderful spot. I was proud of how well I managed things and I may have let out a little grunt like Tim the tool man. About 30 minutes later as we were walking I realized that I parked 12km’s from the destination. I couldn’t let it be known I screwed up and embraced the walk and the sites. The journey was great as we saw beautiful sites. I lost all feeling in my legs, my back will never forgive me and the blister on my toe is a battle scar only I can appreciate. Make this a day trip but take my advice and park close.

Went for the winter drive thru light thing. Price is a bit high. That being said it was the best one we been to. Kids loved it. Many pictures taken. They not only let you stop the car and take pictures / enjoy the experience.... they suggest It! Staff was friendly. Guy at the exit reminding to put lights back on. All around 5 star set up. Might go back for round 2, if it was a tad bit lower on price, this would be a for sure return for round 2.

Booked a fire pit and visited on a Sunday. Beautiful, clean place with lots of sights to see for kids and adults. Had a lovely time. Parking is kinda expensive- $30

I came here to explore the abandoned amusement park. I used to visit it as a kid and hadn’t seen it in almost 20 years. Looking at it like it’s a rundown has-been makes it depressing, but from a different perspective it’s so cool. The only remnants of the water park are the water slide tower and the change-rooms. The log flume ride is partially buried, but still standing. It’s fascinating. You can even still see the old pizza pizza logos on the dilapidated food stands.
