Beautiful trail exploring the Elora gorge. The trail is mostly hard dirt with some rocky areas. If you take your time, it is about 20-30 min around the trail but you can definitely spend stop to enjoy the scenery or go down the steps to play in the water. For that you should allow more time so not to be rushed. The steps down to the gorge is made of stone. Some parts of the steps are a bit steep and warn down so watch your step and use the handrails to assist. Once down the steps, there’s a bit of rocky terrain to get down to the water. Supportive shoes are recommended to make it easier. From the water, there’s a good view of the Davis St. bridge, the rest of the gorge. There are and caves along the gorge but in one area there’s two caves side by side and the one on the right has a little hole that looks like a window! A nice man who grew up in this area told us to look for the two caves. There are also signs around the trail giving a bit of history of the area. The trail is shaded making it a lovely place to walk and explore.

We had an amazing walk all around the Elora Gorge Conservation area and enjoyed the view of the iconic rocks, lover's leap and walked down the stairs and sat beside Irvine creek and listened to the sound of water and trees. It was really nice to spend time in nature and recharge our batteries to go back to city life. I'm so happy to see how people contribute well to keeping the environment clean.

My wife and I were delighted to see the enchanting tourist attraction, Elora - a community in the township of Centre Wellington, and the scenic lookout points in the Victoria Park, with one of our friends whom we visited in Waterloo. Interestingly, there is a Victoria Park in Kitchener, too! Elora is 30 kms from Waterloo which is 75 minute drive from my home in Toronto. The small community of Elora was bustling with lots of tourists on a Thursday morning of August, 2022. There is an old mill, Elora, now converted into a hotel. I parked my car on the street near the hotel, and we went to the park on foot that is about 20 minutes from the tourist information center. You may park your vehicle for three hours on the street, and that is sufficient to enjoy the picturesque gorge. The views of rugged lime cliffs, Grand river flowing through the valley, and myriads of trees were startlingly beautiful. The spectacular views from the lookout points filled us with indescribable exhilaration. The 72 foot high cliffs and the river flowing through the valley makes the gorge a small Canadian canyon that is a must visit for all the nature lovers.

Just a few pics from the bridge and path from the area near the hotel. Always busy but very nice little walk in a beautiful town. There is a staircase that takes you down to the gorge itself and the river. It’s a bit steep and rickety but secure and then all rocks to walk around. There are always a lot of people so be sure to book a reservation if you want dinner or drinks (the Elora brewery is great). Definitely worth a drive in the summer or fall.

That was fantastic, picturesque and astonishing! I loved it! I love that big rock which looks like a natural sphinx. Look and find eyes, ear, nose, mouth and hair of that gigantic sphinx. You're gonna love that and it's gonna remain in your memories.

Beautiful place, definitely recommend going down the stairs to the lower level. It is a bit tricky with all the rocks and uneven terrain so please be careful and go at your own risk. Its not wheelchair accessible so if you have a disability that makes it more difficult to do this activity, please don’t go. Same goes to seniors, and people bringing small children. But if you can you MUST go into the water, its an amazing experience and great photo taking opportunity for family’s and friends. Note: the rocks under the water are slippery so walk with caution. The water is also not deep enough to swim in.

Beautiful. Parking may be hard to find but well worth the trip! A visit to the Elora Distilling Company is another great stop.

Steep hike down the stairs and very rocky all the way down to the water. Once down there, the views are breathtaking! Hidden cave and view of bridge

This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The sights are stunning. Wonderful river! Don’t forget to have a long walk in the city. Very beautiful architecture combined with delicious foods and pastries.

Beautiful. Was a busy spot for mid week in September and parking is limited. Wear comfortable closed-toed shoes as the trail can be a bit uneven with tree roots, etc. Not to mention the stairs, but using those are not necessary to view the gorge. Amazing and beautiful scenery! So worth a visit. The adjacent Victoria Park has picnic tables too. Also very pretty to see.

Amazing spot. Had no idea this was here. Especially beautiful if you take the stairs down into the Gorge.

Such a beautiful site. The trail is easy to walk, though you do have to watch out for roots. The views of the gorge and the waterfall are stunning. The stairs down to the gorge are steep and should be taken only at your own risk. The park is well maintained and was free from litter. There are lots of benches/picnic tables to sit on should you wish to have lunch there or need a rest. There were also two surprising clean port-o-potties on site which had hand sanitizer. I could have easily spent an entire afternoon enjoying the scenery here.

Excellent place to visit and explore in nature. One big negative is a gigantic ugly condo complex being built too close to the river gorge. Hard to get a photo without the ugly eyesore being in your photo.

This is one of my favorite family friendly hiking spot. I usually like to go once or twice a year. After our hike we head into the beautiful town for coffee and a bite to eat.

It's a beautiful spot no doubt, but I'm not sure if the additional development at the Mill has helped out hindered Elora. It used to have a quaint small town feel and I think that's somewhat gone now as it's becoming more developed and touristy. There is still parking spots although they're getting harder to find and it is nice (for pedestrians) that the streets address blocked off, however with the current restrictions in place for the local shops there are usually lines and the crowding has moved to the sidewalks. The lookout is still lovely; but it is ashame that do much development is occurring which does impact the natural view. It's also a very short trail. Walking the steps down to under the bridge extends it, but not hugely.

Beautiful little spot, but it gets very busy, so plan accordingly. You can go quite aways up and down if you walk on the rocks. You have to go down a big set of stone stairs to gain access but its too bad at all

I recently visited Elora Gorge and was absolutely blown away by the stunning views from the lookout point. The natural beauty of the gorge and the river below is truly breathtaking, and the lookout provides the perfect vantage point to take it all in. The hike up to the lookout is a bit steep, but it's definitely worth the effort. Once you arrive, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the gorge and the surrounding countryside. I spent several minutes just taking in the scenery and marveling at the power of nature. In addition to the views, the Elora Gorge area offers plenty of other attractions, including hiking trails, kayaking, and swimming. There are also picnic areas and campsites, so you can easily make a day or weekend of it. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Elora Gorge lookout if you're in the area. It's a truly awe-inspiring experience that you won't soon forget.

Very Scenic and beautiful outlook. It definitely worth visiting. The stairways to the falls and river is not very well but we could easily use them.

Stunning views from the lookout point. I would say the terrain isn't tough and easy for beginners.

30+yrs experience hiking this area....beautiful river gorge with plenty of hiking options, however this area is un maintained and can be treacherous. Steep trail sections, extremely loose rock and slippery river walking conditions can bite back easily and quickly. Be advised that any injury requiring rescue will result in a hefty bill.

Beautiful place. The falls can be seen inside a hotel. It is a beautiful place. They were kind enough to let us view the falls and take pictures. The Car can be parked on the street or at a nearby parking lot. Absolutely worth the visit.

Always worth the drive from Kitchener. Just a couple minutes into any trail and you feel like you're way up north. Plus if your dog likes to climb they will love it here
