ATTENTION MOTHERS: We need to address a concerning situation where an individual (biological man)who identifies as a woman and uses women's facilities is changing openly in our women's only change rooms, exposing themselves in a manner that's inappropriate for innocent teen girls to witness. This issue demands immediate attention and action for a separate CHANGING AREA that NEEDS to be available for such individuals. This is NO different than a man’s and woman’s change room which we’ve had since the beginning of time! RESPONSE TO GOODLIFE: Every mother, just like every concerned individual, wants to safeguard their daughters from indecent behavior, including the unwanted exposure to men's genitalia. It's crucial to question where the line lies in terms of human rights protection in such situations. Balancing individual freedoms with the imperative to shield one another from harm demands a thoughtful and inclusive approach, one that respects personal rights while ensuring a safe and dignified society for all! HENSE this is why I suggested to put another separate changing room in your facilities for them!

EDIT: They improved this issue for a while, but it started happening again...men waltzing in and employees not caring at all and not letting us know ahead of time. Really disappointed at the staff’s nonchalant attitude. if you say you’re a women’s only gym, then make sure you are. It’s as simple as that. ——- The reason I come to this gym is for its strict women's only environment. While I realize that many women are okay with men walking in, a portion of your clientele are absolutely not. So when I'm working out on a machine and I look up and see a man standing at reception, I feel incredibly disappointed, and frankly, violated. The policy is for your staff to walk around with a sign to indicate a repair/delivery man is about to enter. That way, if any women would like to leave the gym floor until the man departs, they're able to do that. Unfortunately the staff doesn't seem to care about this policy. Instead they just prop up a sign at reception saying "repair man on site" at the *same time* as the man is entering. That obviously doesn't give us time to consider our options, especially if we are focused on the actual workout. I talked to the staff and manager (and even GoodLife head office) multiple times about this, but it never changes. It seems like listening to your customers is not a priority for you.

REAL WOMEN BEWARE: A "woman's" gym? This should be changed into "if you "feel" like you are a woman? Come on in!!" How disappointing that you cater more to men pretending to be women, than actual women who want to come to a gym that is meant for REAL women? Are you people for real? How can this be safe for teen girls to come in and want to work out, while there is a transgender in there and she can't even change in peace in the change room? Or any other woman who does not feel comfortable around a MAN? Change your sign that is hanging outside and might as well take off your sign on your entrance door as well, where it says "male delivery staff" ring the bell. Why bother then, if you have dudes dressed up as women waltz in too?? Why bother with rules for them? LOL

They says the gym is only for women but there is big men which they identify as women.which that won’t make him women. People should stand up for the right and not ruin our community. Women means Her/She/ princess and Queens. Not a men with ladies cloths on. Disgusting

Due to their decision to allow a biological man into the gym and changing room, causing me to feel unsafe, I had to cancel my membership at the women-only gym. Despite its excellent staff, friendly environment, and skilled instructors, I had initially paused my membership, hoping the gym would reconsider its policy after numerous complaints. Regrettably, I had to cancel my membership and switch to another gym.

Excuse me!!! Why there is a legit big man with cheap fake wig walking around naked in the changing room???? I feel violated and don't feel safe here anymore!!!! Ruined my whole experience!!! What is the point of saying 'women only' if any man can come and peep there just hiding behind cheap wig?!!

You cannot workout your legs in this gym. NO ONE works out their upper body so when you actually want to workout your legs its almost impossible. Someone is always doing hip thrusts for 30 minutes to 1 hour on the squat rack and everyone is rushing to get to the leg machines

I just recently rejoined this GoodLife location, after a 3 year COVID hiatus. I am thrilled with the group exercise selection offered and can easily fit in at least 4 classes/week. The atmosphere in this club is wonderful. Front desk staff are warm and welcoming. The manager is approachable, open, kind and fair. I am excited to be working out at this club again and feel welcomed and appreciated each time I walk in.

Best gym! Equipment is always clean and the people actually follow protocol (wiping down machines when they are done). It's a bit smaller but it's really nice and I feel very comfortable and safe there. The people who work there are the best. So friendly and helpful!!!

Nice place, friendly staff, reasonable price. Going to both locations (Woman’s and West Mall) prefer more Woman’s just because it’s closer to home and not too crowded. Have an ultimate family membership for a few years now. Really enjoy their classes (Body pump, flow, etc...) Awesome instructors! However there’s one that is pretty rude and definitely needs to improve her communication skills... Not a great role model. P. S. Dear Management, please reach out to me if interested in more details, will be happy to share 😉

stuff is not nice. stuff manager (Sheerin?) is condescending to customers. I let her know about an issue with on demand training, she interrupted me and asked me to leave it and later on called me in and implied that I did something wrong with it. the manner with which she communicates in general is rude and absolutely not appropriate for a customer service representitive. I go to a lot of other good life locations and the customer service has always been at the highest level. I will continue going to those locations and avoid this gym. they also don't have towel service.

Feel safe working out in this GL. Place is clean & #s are controlled w/ bookings. Highlight of day to do classes again for physical & mental health! Instructors could more consistetly wear their masks just before & after class is over while they're chatting w/ members. If they modeled this, other chatty members would follow their example! It's a pandemic people! Stop taking advantage of loophole where you can take off the mask during workout/class. GL associate at check in reminds members to sanitize their hands upon entry to club, & to wear masks in changeroom 👍🏼. Wish associates would also remind members/instructors of the GL mask rule, especially when they're talking loudly, potentially aerosoling virus in the indoor space. Hope the princesses can do their part in wearing masks to keep all safe.

The manager was very rude and condescending when speaking to us. She has this superiority complex and it was not appreciated when we were inquiring about memberships and day passes. I did not feel safe and the workers were very condescending as well. For a women’s only gym there was not much support for women.

I started going to this gym in late August after not going to a gym for 3 years. From the moment I stepped in, I felt supported by the staff and quickly became comfortable using the equipment. Yes, the space might be smaller than others, but when classes aren't in session the studio (which has fans and workout equipment) is available for use. I don't find myself waiting to use equipment most of the time and the space is clean. Overall, this is a solid gym where you can get a good workout in. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and there is no judgement.

Small, quaint all women’s gym. Fairly clean though you can tell the cardio machines haven’t had a good deep clean in a while. Staff have been nice and follow up with new members which is a really nice touch.

Been going to this gym since 2017. I love the energy, team members, and amount of equipment this location has. Kim, Alex, Lena, and Christina are always so kind to me and very helpful with the machines!

I have been going to this gym for about 6 years. I started my fitness journey here and I am so glad I did. I have been to other locations and this one is by far the best with the most friendly, attentive and comforting staff. The environment lets you build relationships with the staff and other gym goers. After trying other gyms and other locations, I always come back here. I definitely recommend this gym.

This gym was and I’m not exaggerating, a complete salvation for me during Covid. They have gone to incredible lengths to make people feel safe, and they continue to do so with their constant cleaning. They are always supplementing their equipment and asking if anyone needs any help or assistance with form in a gentle way. Members vary from complete beginners to bikini models and everything in between so there should be little to no intimidation factor for new members. Any needed repairs are taken care of quickly. Every employee has a smile and warm greeting for you when you walk in. It’s definitely a smaller gym and can get a little busy at times, but you will always get your workout done with a bit of flexibility. There’s some great instructors for classes and very friendly trainers. My only negatives would be the few people who monopolize the only Smith and/or squat rack and a few who think it’s OK to superset when it’s busy. But over all I pretty much live at this gym and would highly recommend it. We still need that gong Lina😉!

This is my favourite GoodLife location! It is very clean and the staff are super friendly. I am always greeted with a smile and if there is anything needed, they are also helpful. I enjoy the classes they have and the instructors care about making sure you know what you are doing!

As someone who has worked in the gym industry for a long time, I have to say the gym is "GOOD." This gym is spotless and very welcoming. You will see women of all body types, ages, cultures and backgrounds. The space is smaller, so I highly suggest you consider the time you attend this gym. If you want intense leg workouts, do not attend peak times. I would say tour the gym and check it out, but from the motivators to the general manager, this gym is pretty amazing. It's my favourite location at the moment. :)

Etobicoke - the east mall location is no longer a ladies only gym. Trans people disrupted my privacy and sense of security. I asked the management to make ladies only time or Trans only time or find any other solution but they never listen. I lost the motivation and used the gym only a couple of times within the last 3 months. sometimes I reach the gym, I find a Trans person and I leave immediately. really disappointed. goodlife fitness is going to lose some of their loyal customers soon.

DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM! NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN!!! I was there today and was scared and embarrassed to be a member of this club, a 6'2 Transgender was at my gym. I could not go to change as I felt my privacy had been breached and I was afraid that if I brought up any concerns you I would be banned or they would confront me. For an average gym thats poorly staffed and way too overpriced I would much rather buy equipment and workout at home. DO NOT GO HERE!

Personal Trainer Review For: Kassandra Jenner Personal Trainer at Good Life Fitness By: M. Anne Moynihan Date: September 2023 I have been a client of Kassandra for just a little over one year. Throughout this time, I have really enjoyed and grown to appreciate our sessions! Kassandra has many excellent skills and knowledge that qualify her to be an effective personal trainer. First, she is an effective communicator; directions are always articulated with clarity and when there are questions or concerns, she takes the time to reiterate specific tasks. She performs her role with care while demonstrating an enormous level of patience! Second, she models an effective instructional approach as she sets up tasks and various movements while using the machines; before we begin a specific task, Kassandra takes the time to explain the various targeted muscle groups, the necessary form and the desired outcome. As a result of her calm demeanor, I never feel awkward asking questions or expressing concerns. On a more personal note, since beginning my sessions with Kassandra, I have developed greater strength in my upper and lower body, my physical resistance has improved, and I feel much more confident in meeting my present and future fitness goals. Thanks to Kassandra’s encouragement and direction, I am excited about my progress as well as the prospect of actually attaining my desired objective to commit myself to life-long fitness!
