The single dorms are small which is fine, the beds are okay the food in the dining hall is mediocre . My issue is bugs. I moved into my dorm in August and was immediately hit by a wave of earwigs coming out from the AC unit, I went to the front desk and all I was told was that I need to kill them before they bite me. I killed around 10 in my first week and then they stopped showing up. Fast forward to now, I have new bugs hoarding my window. I made a maintenance job and a nice man came and just told me "they are seasonal and harmless they'll be gone in a few weeks". Okay good to know, my report however was more about how THEY KEPT GETTING INTO MY ROOM. He said I'd need to make another report specifically asking for someone to seal the gap in my window. I don't know why since my first report said they were getting in through my window. I came back from class at 2:30pm it is now 6pm and I have killed 11 of them. I wish they'd take things a bit more seriously and maybe check for these things at the beginning of the year. I am paying a lot of money to be here I should not have to deal with bugs getting into my room.

Lived in residence for 3 years while I was in school. Honestly not a bad place to live, I always had triple or double rooms so I felt comfortable. Double/ triple rooms had a kitchen/living area, a bathroom, and then each person had their own separate room which were all decent sizes! Food in the cafeteria is good, they always change different meals up everyday so thereโ€™s more variety and hours are not too shabby either. Expensive but if you can afford it I would recommend doing this rather then trying to find housing as itโ€™s right on campus and is not a bad place to live.

Clean, warm building. Staff are friendly but are very strict and ruthless about visitors entering the building. The staff attempted to lock me out of the building overnight this winter after I stepped out of the doors to pick up a pizza. Even though they were able to see me and the pickup took less than 30 seconds, i was not allowed to enter again because the person I was staying with had fallen asleep. If I did not have the number of a girl staying in a different building who was willing to come out and re-sign me in under her name, I would've been stuck outside in late November in a t-shirt and pajama pants at 3 am about 40km from my home and with no cash. I'm sure the staff have common sense but the guidelines restrict their ability to use it.

I heard that Humber is firing teachers due to "Covid Policies" . Some of their BEST teachers are being threatened and potentially fired. For a school that apparently prides themselves in Diveristy and Inclusiveness, they have not taken people freedom of health choice and human rights into consideration. Disgusting. Apply elsewhere - this school has declined in theire Integrity and treatment of their loyal staff, and sadly the students suffer greatly. Disgraceful.

I'm a new student at Humber college and just moved in. So far all of the staff working in the cafeteria and front desk have been friendly and helpful. The rooms aren't very big but they are air conditioned and are perfect for a single student.

Visited the res buildings with my girlfriend as she is a student and was moving into her room. The rooms are quite small but not so much that it becomes claustrophobic. The hallways are very inviting as every room has a corkboard next to their door where the resident may post anything about themselves. Each floor has a nice common area with chairs and couches and a television to relax with. Each floor has two bathrooms, all of them being cogender. Each shower has a door so that you may change clothes in privacy. Everything was quite clean and fresh. We did not eat at the cafeteria, but the food options looked very good. The laundry is quite cheap to use, and you may connect to it with WiFi to see when your load has finished washing. Overall very impressed with the building.

Maintenance is good. The residence life staff are not very professional. The front desk staff are typically friendly aside from a few. The Chartwell staff are very friendly and do their best however the quality of meals here is below average especially for how much you have to pay for them.

Stayed for the RBC Canadian Open. Great lounge. Basic room but for $48 was worth it!! No fridges so grab a good cooler.

I have get to know about the campus residence from one of my friend. What she told me was that all the services are excellent. Moreover, she told it also affordable like 4,000 for 4semesters.

Great cheaper option for hotel accommodations over the summer. You get basic stuff, but the room is clean, it's close to transit, and the price is good. Staff are available around the clock, and security is great. There are traditionally summer students around, but they're housed in a different building/floor

The suites are good. 5/5 The single rooms are pretty bad. 3/5 The cafeteria is really horrible and overpriced. 2/5 (Pretty sure several health code violations are a common thing here any student who has lived here will vouch for it.) As far as Residence Management goes, they are a little careless and most certainly overpaid for what they actually do and the service they provide. Residence LIFE Management is a whole another story, I think theyโ€™re mismanaged, overpaid and quite honestly just atrocious. The Residence Life Manager, Phil Legate is most certainly a sadistic egomaniac who feeds off misery and exploitation of poor students. Pretty sure there are several instances involving him and some sort of discrimination and abuse of power but hey as long as theyโ€™re minting money itโ€™s all good eh? 0/5

Student residence here is mediocre at best. Huge bug problem. The building is so old there's cracks along the windowsills, bug problem was so bad I had to get an exterminator. Stayed in a single room, very small. Don't even get me started on the bathroomsโ€ฆ. Not thoroughly cleaned enough, limescale on the shower heads, black flies everywhere . If you have early classes I don't recommend staying here or request to live on a quiet floor. People don't respect the quiet hours listed. Food here is not pleasant, they pretty much make the same food on repeat. I suggest getting food from gourmet express at the school. The food is made by culinary and baking students. The only good thing about living here was the convenience of being close to the school. Overall my experience here was very bad. I stayed here for one year and once was more than enough. I think Humber should make some serious changes to this place because the way they advertise it isn't accurate. Don't waste your time or your money!

Very good visiting here with all the secure feeling in regards to social distancing and sanitization available upon entrance and friendly security staff...

Some professors were nice some very rude. The worst part was 2 months students placement which was actually free work for companies that collaborate with Humber college. They get students working 2 month for free, no any payment, no job offered. this is exploitation of students just to get graduation certificate.

Well organized student residence. It is quite expensive and the rooms are very small. Almost only a bit bigger than a large closet. There is good elevator system and a clean dining area. Overall, this place is very well maintained and the management is efficient in dealing with residence move in.

The room had two separate rooms with two separate beds, which was nice for privacy. The people were nice. However the first room they put us in wasn't cleaned and had dirty towels and sheets. The second room was clean, but one of the keys didn't work at first. The beds were rock hard and not comfortable at all. It took at least 40 minutes every day to get to downtown. Overall, it was definitely cheaper than any other hotel or place to stay, but it wasn't great.

Alleged Human Rights Violations and Disrespect Highlighted in Humber College Residence Experience Good day, In a shocking account, a black woman identified as Anita Persaud-Tinker, with a disability at Humber College has come forward to share her distressing experience living in the college's residence, alleging major disrespect, emotional turmoil, and a violation of her human rights. The student claims that she was subjected to mistreatment, manipulated into dismissing her Ontario disability human rights, and locked out of her apartment without any prior notice or warning. According to the student, her time in the residence was marred by a series of incidents that left her feeling marginalized and ignored. She alleges that her requests for reasonable accommodations were met with indifference and resistance, making it extremely challenging for her to navigate her daily life on campus and caused her severe distress worsening her condition. Furthermore, the student claims that she faced ongoing disrespect and emotional turmoil from both staff members and fellow associate deans / administrators. Instances of discriminatory language, microaggressions, and exclusionary behavior were reported, exacerbating her already difficult circumstances. The student expresses deep disappointment that her status as a black woman with an approved medical disability and verified documents, appeared to contribute to the lack of support and understanding she received. The most distressing incident, however, involved being unexpectedly locked out of her apartment multiple times without any notification or warning. This action left her in a vulnerable situation, feeling unsafe and violated. Moreover, she alleges that she was manipulated into dismissing her Ontario disability human rights, adding another layer of violation to her experience. The student's claims raise serious concerns about the treatment and support provided to marginalized individuals within Humber College's residence. It is essential that educational institutions like Humber College prioritize inclusivity, respect, and the protection of human rights for all their students. In response to these allegations, Humber College administration and Officiate Dean has done nothing in response to these allegations nor has reported to the serious concerns of the student during these distressing times. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of upholding human rights, respect, and inclusivity within educational institutions. It is crucial that incidents like these are thoroughly investigated and measures are implemented to prevent any future violations, ensuring that all students can enjoy a safe and supportive learning environment. Anita hopes to raise awareness to other students of minority who wish to pursue an education while living on campus amenities. Humber College has a responsibility to prioritize the well-being and rights of all its students, regardless of their race, gender, or disability.

Only come here if you are desperate. The food is not good, but it is overpriced. You will not be able to sustain a healthy diet, let alone afford it if you have anything less than the most expensive meal plan. There is not enough hot water to go around, so everyday is a game of roulette to find out if you're taking an ice cold shower. Also, the bugs. For what it's worth, the staff is friendly but can not make up for the downfalls of Humber itself. Forgot to mention that people get stuck in the elevator multiple times a day on my floor, very fun.
