The
museum
is
called
the
"Museum
of
the
Seven"
by
the
Chinese
world.
This
is
because
it
is
a
collection
of
seven
artists.
One
of
the
leading
artists
is
McMichael.
Since
1955,
McMichael
and
her
husband,
Robert,
have
been
exhibiting
the
Seven
Artists
of
Ontario
here.
Later,
he
initiated
the
donation
of
the
collection
and
the
venue
of
his
own
property
for
the
exhibition
to
the
Ontario
government.
The
museum
is
divided
into
two
parts,
an
outdoor
section
with
sculptures
and
exhibits.
The
indoor
section
has
been
expanded
several
times
to
its
present
size.
The
main
building
was
designed
by
Leo
Venchiarutti,
a
local
Ontario
designer.
The
building's
name
is
Tapawingo,
from
the
Aboriginal
language,
which
means
place
of
joy.
However,
the
design
forgot
to
provide
a
loading
dock
for
the
exhibits,
so
it
is
impossible
to
display
large
exhibits
here.
To
be
honest,
the
flow
is
the
key
to
the
exhibition
hall,
and
there
are
many
"pockets"
of
space
here,
so
I
forgot
to
visit
one
or
two
places.
I
also
saw
a
children's
play,
a
one-man
show,
which
was
great.
The
theater
on
the
top
floor.
I
highly
recommend
going
here,
and
I'm
sure
the
experience
is
better
in
spring
and
autumn.
