The windows of the museum even provide a view to the Birthplace of Toronto (Old Fort York). Learn about The Regiment's noble founding from what is now Ryerson University; the history behind why this Regiment is the only line infantry regiment authorized to wear the Guards uniform (normally worn only by the Guards units in the UK and in Ottawa); its amazing accomplishments in conflict, such as its contributions to Viking Force: Canada's first iteration of Special Operations; its involvement in the Dieppe Raid; and the drive through Holland. Learn about the stories of the Royals who served as Prisoners of War, and how they endured captivity. Learn about The Regiment's the contributions of its members in warfighting and Peacekeeping operations around the world. Discover the patriotic story of its founding. Become familiar with famous members of The Regiment and their contributions, such as Sir Sandford Fleming: the founder of Standard Time and the first Canadian postage stamp; and so on. Amazing, but not open to the public. Please contact the Royal Regiment of Canada Association for a guided tour of the museum and armoury.
