Joining Elite was one of my better decisions of the year 2022. I have been training in both Krav Maga and Muay Thai for over a year now. To be honest, I do not struggle in class as much as I struggle to choose between classes. All instructors and KRU's at Elite are great in their own way, together they bring tremendous amount of value and experience to the table.

I have been a member of EMA Krav since January 2020 before anyone knew how hard the pandemic would hit. I had an amazing experience with in class instructors that were extremely knowledgeable and yet knew how to teach and encourage beginners like me. The flexible class times made it easy to fit into my working mom schedule. When the world changed in March Dan quickly adapted and created great online options and wrote motivating blogs to keep us going and as the circumstances kept changing he stayed resilient and offered creative solutions to zigzag around closures with outdoor and private training options all while continuing to invest in great equipment to be ready for the reopening. Through this all I have been able to keep going with my belt advancement in Krav and I will be dedicated to this school through whatever the new normal is! I would definitely recommend this school as the place to learn self defense and martial arts!

Have been training Krav Maga in a female group since January. It started as a way to get moving during quarantine, but we've learnt and improved so much that we were able to test for and earn a yellow belt!! Dan (and the school) have a well developed curriculum and that keeps us in shape and progresses every week. Looking forward to joining the school after lockdown ends!

I have been a member of EMA for an entire year, and it has been an incredible experience! Despite starting without any previous martial arts experience, the instructors at EMA have guided me every step of the way, from being a beginner student. Not only is the facility exceptionally clean, but the gym also stands out for its strong sense of community. Everyone at the school is incredibly supportive, and I have made numerous friendships since joining! TLDR; highly recommend for someone who is a beginner and experience student to join this school!

I must say EMA has the best Muay Thai and Krav Maga instructors. From a beginner level to the most advanced level, the instructors provide equal attention to each and every students irrespective their levels. Dan, who is the owner and instructor at this martial art school/gym, provides a very fair and reasonable packages (pricing) for its classes and gears taking into consideration your budget and financial capacity. I was on a 12 month contract with EMA and I was unexpectedly facing personal challenges. Dan was very considerate as we came to a mutual agreement. This has help me to save at least $1,000. In the light of above,I would highly recommend anyone to sign up at EMA. Nice and neat facility, high tempo training, amazing instructors, all level classes, beginner classes, advanced classes, excellent and positive environment, everyone is very respectful.

I've been with Elite Martial Arts for 7 years. Started as a Krav Maga student and last year obtained my Black Belt. I had a Muay Thai background prior. I now have the distinct honour of teaching both arts for the school. Elite Martial Arts strives for professionalism from the staff to insure a positive learning experience for the students. I've worked with students that couldn't skip at their first class and after 6 months of consistent classes they found their fitness and co-ordination. It's a wonderful thing to watch students grow on a regular basis.

I have been a student of Elite for almost 2 years now. It has been a very rewarding experience. Mentally, the classes have helped my mind focus. Physically, I am sad that I lost my beer belly, but my fiance appreciates my new physique. I was hesitant to join at first, but glad a friend convinced me to try a trial class. If you want a good workout with varying degrees of intensity (don't worry, not everyone is a black belt or mister myagi), this is something you should try.

Probably one of the best program you can sign yourself up for. A diverse range of techniques and instructional material to learn from, regardless of previous experience or fitness. The self-defence competencies taught here is straightforward, tough.. and most importantly - it works!

Great school. A solid place to start your martial arts journey. Strong focus on cardiovascular fitness. Instructors are great. For Muay Thai, sparring is open to beginners, which is nice.

Joining EMA is honestly the best decision I’ve made all year. It has an awesome Muay Thai program for all levels and has helped get me into shape while also learning the fundamentals. The instructors are great and take the time to coach and guide you and the sense of community is palpable. Last but not least, Dan, who heads up the gym, is very friendly, accommodating and an overall great vibe in class. If you’re on the fence or just ever had an interest in martial arts/ Muay Thai I would highly recommend popping in for a class to see what I’m talking about.

One of the most professional, rewarding and welcoming gym environments I've ever been a part of. Kru Dan is a legit Muay Thai and Krav expert and the intensity of the classes, combined with technique and emphasis on conditioning speaks for itself. Regular training is also no joke and I loved the blue shorts/yellow shorts dichotomy to keep students motivated. Kru Harold, PC Kru Roman and PC Kru Marvin were always there to push us as well. Overall, great experience and would 100% recommend to anyone who's interested in Muay Thai/self defense.

Great instructors, great (and complimentary) programs, great culture. You won't regret trying out a class! I've been training with Dan and the team for several years now. EMA classes are always fun, high energy, and super useful.

After training at EMA for only a short period of time, I learned enough to feel much more confident. The teaching approach taken by Dan and the Team at Elite really helps you feel welcome (especially when you are new to Martial Arts). I enrolled in the women’s self defense program. I immediately felt welcomed and rapidly improved my skill level from total beginner to functional after just a few months (3 to be exact). The workout portions of the classes are absolutely fantastic! Well rounded and hits for a full body workout. You’ll get in the best shape of your life training at Elite. I have since had to move from Toronto and have not found a gym equal to Elite. I would confidently recommend Elite to anyone looking for Martial Arts training

I had a pretty good experience training here, about 45 minutes exercise, 45 minutes technique. Definitely gave me a workout I needed today! The gym is super clean and the instructor was real cool and helpful. (Only thing was the space was kinda small for the amount of people) but great nonetheless! Thank you!

I’ve been training at EMA since early February and I’ve had nothing short of a great experience. Everything from the instructors, assistant instructors to all of the other students has been an awesome way for me to network and make new friends within the downtown core. From a teaching aspect I train mainly Mauy Thai and the Thai classes are an excellent way to get into shape and learn to basics of Thai boxing, the school even provides its students with opportunities to move up within the sport whether that be actually getting in the ring and fighting, learning how to referee, or become a judge. Nothing but love for this place, it’s like a second home to me.

I have been a student at Elite for few months. I started with trial classes and found the experience to be what I was looking for. I have had the experience to be instructed by numerous teachers (Krus) and have found all of them very good. They teach good technique and are always correcting to keep you safe in class. A great class if interested in personal self defence as a beginner and there is definitely room to grow with experienced instructors. I would definitely recommend.

Coming from a Muay Thai background I can say with great confidence that the instructors are detailed, experienced and passionate about the progression of their students. The class environment is welcoming and rewarding. Learning from Dan and the other instructors has been an awesome experience thus far. From beginner to advanced, give EMA a try.

I started training at EMA almost a year ago, practicing Krav Maga and Muay Thai, and I don't regret a single moment of it. Beyond meeting amazing people and talented instructors, especially Dan the founder, it has greatly improved my physical fitness and cardio. Most importantly, I have learned a lot about different techniques, and after each class, I feel like I've learned something new. I have been able to take several belt tests and have passed the first level of Muay Thai. I highly recommend this school, especially since the class schedules are very diverse, allowing everyone to choose the times that fit their agenda.

I've been going to Elite for Krav for a long time. Dan and his team are consistent and nothing but professional. Coming from a non-martial arts background, this school welcomed me and made me do things I didn't think I could do. This is the only workout/exercise I have stuck with in my life. I also make sure I don't miss a women's self defense class! Dan's passion and focus is there every class and also passed on through his exceptional teaching crew. They're always reviewing and updating the curriculum. The thing that puts Elite apart is the community. Our school has the best people! All helping each other out, all cheering each other on. Senior students help newer students and everyone pays it forward. It's really a special thing here.

Great Martial Arts school, I’ve been training here for the last year and a half. Excellent Muay Thai (I mostly train this) and Krav Maga instructors, with an amazing community that will support you through your entire journey. Highly recommend for both the casual and serious martial artist!

I have been associated with the Elite organization for 10 years. I can honestly say that the level of professionalism from the instruction and management is second to none. Toronto is lucky to have EMA and their Krav Maga Muay Thai and Women's Self Defense classes. If you are looking to get started in your Martial Arts Journey, this is where you start!

Having finally decided to learn martial arts, I started training at EMA about 6 months ago. The school has been instrumental in not only helping me learn Muay Thai and Krav Maga, but also in improving my overall fitness. Picking up new skills, specially a little late in life, can be intimidating, but EMA does a great job at helping you be at ease and focus on training and improvement without judgement. Shoutout to the instructors, and the students who have been around for a while for making EMA such a great place to train!

I have only been at elite for about 3 months and have already felt like I’ve learned so many useful skill for use in many potential everyday situations. I particularly like the Women’s Self Defense Krav Maga classes which have provided a safe, fun and encouraging space for beginners :)

Dan, and the other instructors are a really great group and I enjoy training here. I've been coming to the gym for nearly 2 years now. Its a good balance between getting your exercise in and also learning authentic Muay Thai. Dan makes an effort to foster a sense of community, so it's not just "another workout at the gym". For example, he makes an effort to host socials (and even caters the school socials out of pocket to show appreciation to us students and celebrate our achievements in training). I had some administrative issues sorting out my payments/gym access as well, which I resolved quickly and very fairly with Dan. Dan is a good guy, and as long as you're being reasonable - he will be more than fair as well.

I joined EMA about 4 months ago and I love it! Despite having no martial arts experience, all the instructors have been super supportive and helped me develop comfort with pad work and sparring. All the instructors, including Dan the owner of the gym, take the time to create unique lesson plans which always keeps classes fresh and fun! Every class has been great for learning new skills or improving existing technique. Dan really cares about his students and has made a lot of effort to create a community within the gym, even holding socials outside the gym so everyone can get to know each other better. I’d highly recommend joining EMA for fitness and learning Muay Thai + Krav Maga!!

I recently joined Elite Martial Arts and have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of the classes and the care shown by the owner and instructors. From the start, the owner was helpful and welcoming, taking time to answer my questions. The instructors are knowledgeable and engaging, creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment that challenges students to improve. The classes I've attended have had great energy and intensity, and as a new student, I'm already certain that I can learn a lot here. I also appreciate the inclusivity and respect shown towards all students, including myself as a trans woman. The teachers have been considerate and reassuring, making me feel entirely comfortable and welcome. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive and I highly recommend Elite Martial Arts for exceptional self-defense and martial arts classes in a supportive and inclusive environment. The owner's commitment to creating a positive learning environment is evident in every aspect of the school, and I'm excited to continue training there.

I signed up with Elite in the summer of 2021, and have been going ever since! I came in with limited knowledge in martial arts, and since then have had the experience of a lifetime! Elite has created an enviroment that’s safe and conductive to learning. The instructors come in with a vast amount of experience, knowledge, and extrodinary passion in teaching the Krav Maga and Muay Thai programs. This is a great place for people who have zero experience in martial arts AND for people who have been training for a long time. Elite does well in acknlowdeging and catering to your skill level. For those who have more expreince, Elite always challenges you within your skill level. You will always feel like you’re learning something new everytime. It’s a great way to develop your skills, fitness, and your confidence. Elite also has a women’s-only program, which not a lot of other places have. This program focuses on issues women face and cater its martial arts teaching towards that. Wouldn’t recommend this place enough. Give it a go!

Started training here five months ago and the experience has been great; both Muay Thai and Krav Maga, which I've found to complement one another very well. Dan and the instructors have been very open and accommodating to my prior Krav background, which differs slightly from the curriculum they teach. Overall, they are passionate about what they do and this shows through their instruction.

I joined Elite Martial Arts in 2017 because I wanted to get a good workout and learn practical skills as a young woman who often walks downtown alone. This is the first time I tried a martial art and when I attended for my first trial Krav Maga class, I was welcomed in a friendly and safe envrionment. I didn't feel intimidated and I got the great workout I wanted. I immediately joined the Krav Maga classes, and as I earned my belts, I gave Muay Thai a try. This was an even more intense workout, which helped me improve my Krav Maga skills. I'm proud to say that I recently earned my black belt in Krav Maga in 2022. I also earned my blue shorts in Muay Thai. I couldn't  have done it without the encouragement and support of Dan, instructors and students at Elite. Anytime I had questions or concerns, Dan was always ready to address them head on. I've made some life long friends through Elite. Most of all, this experience has empowered me to build my confidence while walking the streets of Toronto but also in life generally. I highly recommend Elite Martial Arts for anyone looking to get a good workout and learn useful skills to prepare yourself for the unknown. Women's only classes are also available.

I came to this school 2 years ago for a first experience in martial art and I loved it so much. Dan and his staff are amazing people, pushing you to your best in a fun and professional way. I intend to stay and progress with this amazing team and I encourage anyone to join and try! Thanks Dan and team, you rock!!

Muay thai class have been super fun and I got the chance to train with other classmates. Dan and other instructors are super approachable and helpful with posture fixing, detailed fighting strategy and etc. (That's why I joined them since July 2020 ;)) Would love to come back when I am in Toronto.

I started taking Krav as a way to improve my fitness; living downtown in a small apartment, it’s easy to neglect going to the gym and I wanted something with a group environment and a set time slot so I could schedule it in. EMA certainly got me in shape quickly with its conditioning classes and burnout drills. What I wasn’t fully expecting was to fall in love with the martial art. I began attending classes 4+ times a week, learning new and exciting skills from passionate and knowledgable instructors. I challenged the belt tests as frequently as I could and am very proud to say that I recently earned my black belt in Krav Maga. I couldn’t have done it without Dan and the other instructors guiding me, supporting me, and pushing me every step of the way. It’s a top notch school, as evidenced by its accolades, and the community it fosters is the same. I’ve seen many people become great friends through the school, and have made a few myself. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get fit, build confidence, or learn self defense.

Incredible school with many experienced instructors. Have been practicing for two year. During the pandemic, the school did everything it could to ensure students have accessible practice resources. The owner of the school is very approachable and considerate to halt your membership for one month or two when personal stuffs happen in life and you can't attend classes certain period.

Been training here for a little over a year now and the staff and students have been amazing! I started off with zero martial arts experience and the instructors took the time to make sure I understood each technique and was able to improve to the level I am at today. The women's only seminars are also a great way to focus on the issues and experiences women face daily and are a great way to build confidence. Overall the students are great and I've made life-long friends here!!

INCREDIBLE school, we have been looking for an excellent martial arts school, and Elite Martial Arts was and is everything we have been looking for. We have trained at other schools in New York and Toronto, and Elite Martial Arts exceed our expectations. The instructors are exceptionally trained, they are professional, the school is affirming and welcoming to all, and we felt at home right away—a fantastic training experience for those wanting to work out or develop their martial arts skills. They are simply stated, amazing!
