Unfortunately this place is not as good as it used to be. One of the pasta dishes that we ordered was completely raw and had to be changed. The calamari dish was pretty much a salad with a tiny piece of calamari on top. The pizzas were also somewhat dry. Very disappointed and will not be going back again.

Very beautiful decor and tasty Italian cuisine Highly Recommend their fried calamari as an appetizer. Plus you will never go wrong with their limited features dishes. Definitely I will go back and try more .

Disappointing, honestly! Our server was wonderful and the food is high quality, but the service at the FOH and over the phone was almost degrading. Didn’t make eye contact once. Talked to me like I was a dog. I was pretty upset over that. I understand with all the measures, restaurant work has not been easy, but I still don’t feel like it warranted the greeting I received. Very cold. I’d understand it if it was busy, but it was very much not. I’d say “Hi, how are you?” and was met with “You have until 5:30. We need the table back by then.” I have no issues with the time limit. Absolutely none. I do have an issue with being treated like I did them a disservice by being there and existing. I used to love it here. I’m sorry. This experience was embarrassing. Loved the server though. Don’t know her name but she had short-ish red hair and was very sweet. I owe it all to her for not making the night completely terrible. My advice? Come here if you love great food (expensive- to be expected though. Not really an issue. Small portions, but delicious nonetheless) and beautiful decor + environment BUT don’t care how you’ll be treated. I wish I could say I had a great experience :/ (I can’t lie, I do love how beautiful the restaurant is.)

I had great experience having dinner at Terroni! The vibe of the restaurant was perfect. Specious with rustic decorations and a nice fire place. Our waiter did a great job and made us feel like guests in a friend’s house. Wine and food were perfect to high standards. Fresh pastas! Delicious desserts.

Replying to Terroni: How could a manager change the taste of the food? This is our collective experience which is non debatable when it comes to personal food taste. 7 members of the table had mutual consensus their meal was terrible. This wasn’t just one dish, it was different pastas but the seafood was the worst. Had the seafood pasta it was below expectations especially for the cost of the meal. For example the clams were simply...gross overcooked, chewy and fishy same with the mussels in the pasta, the tiger shrimp in the pasta tasted like shrimp cocktail from Costco but again worse. Everyone at our table had the same comments. Extremely disappointing meals. Portions were small for the price and if the dish was more rich or better quality I could understand the portion size. Service was basic but friendly. Restaurant was over decorated nicely except one of the woman's stalls had a broken lock. Score im giving overall is representative of the food taste, quality, portions and options. I wouldn't normally rate so harshly but the pasta(s) were just disgusting. Go to Vaughn if you want half the cost, double the quality and triple the taste.

Incredible ambiance for dining in Toronto, with an interior vibe reminiscent of a historic castle. The array of food choices is extensive, making it an ideal spot for business lunches or dinners. The restaurant boasts an Italian theme, offering a diverse selection of pizzas, pastas, and other dishes. Please note that there is no free parking available nearby.

Got the gnocchi and spinach ravioli- not a lot of options for substituting anything with pork or alcohol/ wine but that’s understandable. Everything tasted good, would’ve been better if we could pick specific noodle types or customize or even take our items we couldn’t eat for dietary/ religious reasons. Overall super beautiful place- decor wise, good service, decent tasting food, and comparative prices.

We are big fans of all the Terroni Restaurants and have eaten at this one on numerous occasions. So when the hostess took us up the 3 long flights of stairs to the top floor seating we were curious as we have only ever dined in the main dining area. We immediately didn’t like it. It felt like lounge seating and there was no one there. Not even a server to greet us which was so strange. It felt like we were bad kids being sent to the corner. Perhaps a nice spot for sharing nachos (like a Keg lounge) but not what we had in mind. I have no idea why the would sit an older couple with bad knees all the way upstairs when we had a reservation and when there were plenty of table’s available at 5:30 downstairs. We switched to downstairs and fully enjoyed our meal as usual. This restaurant is busy and bustling. I think after last night that we may prefer the others more.

I’ve gone here twice now for two company lunches. Both times the food was delicious! The first time I got the paste with meat sauce, Parmesan and shaved black truffle on top. It was scrumptious! The second time I got their Gnocchi dish in the tomato and basil sauce. Also AMAZING. Both times we got the calamari for an appetizer, which was delicious, and the bread basket we received was warm and had a nice variety. I have gotten one of their desserts, their caramel pudding. Delectable! To drink, I tried the peach nectar, and it was very refreshing. The atmosphere in this restaurant is lovely; it is spacious with many different seating areas, decked out in fancy Italian faire, an outside back patio in the summer, and has a beautiful bar. The service is also lovely; our servers both times were attentive and checked to make sure we were enjoying our food. Do expect it to get very rowdy during lunch break! This spot is just a couple blocks from the WeWork location on Bay St., as well as many large office buildings and skyscrapers, thus it gets very busy during lunch time. It helps to arrive around the peak lunch hour to get a table, or just get a reservation ahead of time!

Always a pleasure. This place is casual, yet trendy. Their food is always good. Their pizzas are excellent- the crust being my favorite part. The buffala mozzarella is delicious. The seafood pasta is light, however the rich flavors of the seafood infuse the pasta. And you must try the butterscotch budino!

We ordered grilled calamari, anchovy pizza, and truffle pasta. Overall it was okay, won't recommend. The grilled calamari is very bitter on the grill mark parts, and there were a lot of bitter parts. The bitterness was so overwhelming that it is hard to taste anything else. The anchovy on the pizza was extremely salty. The truffle pasta was good.

Went to Terroni for lunch with my wifey and baby. We had a wonderful time. The food was amazing 🤩 We had appetizers , main course and dessert! I have to say their Gelato is definitely the best in town. Hazelnut and pistachio flavor 😋. I would recommend everyone give that a try. Definitely going back !

Food was good, was with co-workers no compliant. I found the Gnocchi to be light and fluffy, but the sauce to be a bit bland. I did not feel the sauce had a fresh tomato taste I was hoping for based on the description. Overall the drinks and recommendations by our server were great and we shared a pizza as an app that we had to cut, slightly awkward but we make it work.. overall would return again.

Another location crossed off the list! Beautiful little spot with lovely staff and delicious pastas and small plates. Our server was fantastic, she was extremely friendly and recommended the Gnocchi alla Simi and loved it. We also always order the rigatoni a la Norma, they’re some of the best I’ve ever had!

I would give this place a 4.5 if I could! The flavors don't disappoint, and I think their seafood red sauce pasta and truffle white sauce pasta are amazing. The Adelaide location has a much better venue imo (very beautiful and spacious). You can count on this place to taste good!

Well done thin crust pizzas. Bottoms of the crust hold its own! Ambiance is very unique - go to the basement/washrooms to see old jail cells! Bustling spot, try to reserve in advance.

Good food! But I wouldn’t say it was anything remarkable or memorable. Pasta and pizza, I guess it’s hard to have variety! Atmosphere was dark and moody, my eyes had a hard time reading the menu haha! Portions were fine but ever so slightly disappointing for the price and wasn’t really justified with the quality. The staff was very involved in the experience and came up to our table multiple times, up to personal preference if that’s a great thing or not. Calamari was great!

Pasta and desserts were very good. I had the pappardelle Iosa and the butterscotch pudding for dessert, and both were great. The pasta was slightly cold when it was served. Make sure to ask for tap water or you'll be charged for flat water.

I've been to this location twice in the last year and both visits have been very... meh. THE FOOD Not bad but should be better considering the price and reputation. I've only ever ordered pasta but find it underseasoned and undercooked. Portions could be much bigger given the price. And there isn't a ton of variation - lots of vegetarian options which I appreciate, but almost every meat option had spicy sausage - what if you don't like spicy?! The complimentary bread is good but you're given so little oil - all I wanted was some butter or balsamic! THE DRINKS No complaints here, well made and pricing is on par with the rest of the city. THE SERVICE Also no complaints; based on reviews there might be some variation depending on your server but both individuals I've had were kind and attentive. Be prepared to wait to be seated (reservations recommended!). Service is smooth but not fast. THE ATMOSPHERE Inside is nice; dark and loud but also cozy and inviting. The patio is sparse but it's nice to be outside and not next to traffic downtown. OVERALL Location is convenient if you have an event in the area. Food is good but not great. Make a reservation otherwise you might have a long wait. I'm not against going back, but - there is so much better Italian in the city. If I return it's for the vibes and convenience, not food.

Never been to this location-beautiful atmosphere with a larger menu. Didn’t love the chickpea pancake; bland and bit dry. Got the rigatoni pasta gluten free (love this option & can be done for most pasta dishes). The branzino had amazing flavour and those potatoes were SO GOOD.

The food was just good, but nothing was amazing, and I was still hungry after eating there. Our waiter was behaving strangely, and she was trying to be kind, but we could see that it was all a bit fake, and she didn't actually care. She was saying that everything was amazing and after we ordered everything was the best choice. I would prefer a bit less of this artificial kindness and just normal and kind waiters.

I love Terroni, I have been to a couple locations and I’ve never been dissatisfied with their service, food, and beverage items. The atmosphere at this location is absolutely amazing, the decor and food. I love their appetizer with the bread with olive oil and spicy pepper sauce/oil. The food that I ordered here was some ravioli pasta and pizza, it was very filling and served more than two people. This location does get busy, however it is recommended to get a reservation, Thank you!

Came here with the best marketing team in the league, to celebrate the actioned packed successes of 2023. All the food we ordered was delicious. I don't remember the names of the dishes, but I ordered the duck confit butternut squash ravioli with mushrooms. The filling was extremely flavourful and decadent. The sauce was a tad watery but it tasted good enough that it didn't bother me much. I tried a slice of pizza as well (can't remember what it was called) but it was just okay - it was surprisingly bland. The dessert I had was phenomenal though - butterscotch pudding with vanilla caramel and shortbread cookies for dipping? It was as sinful as it sounds. My biggest gripe was our waitress. I appreciate genuine people and down to earth service, but this wasn't that. It was also a bit frustrating that we were told we had to leave due to another reservation with no warning at all. Would have been nice to let us know beforehand. Overall - I'd still recommend Terroni's for Italian food lovers.

This is a really great restaurant with so many delicious options! Visited twice. Ordered the lemon caper spaghetti dish the first time. Second time ordered the cacio e pepe. Both spectacular dishes. Would recommend the pasta over pizza. Also tried the baked mushroom appetizer with arugula and it was scrumptious. The butterscotch dessert is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend to anyone who is a sweet tooth and enjoys caramel. Felt a bit noisy at times but understandable given the spacious rooms and travelling noise. Service is impeccable. Very attentive, thoughtful and kind.

Modern and vibrant location, great for both, formal dinners or a more relaxed and informal experience. The restaurant can easily accommodate larger groups, which is nice. The food though can be a hit or miss. Some plates can be amazing, while others pretty bland and not much enjoyable. If you are new at Terroni, perhaps ask your waiter to recommend the popular dishes.

Great food and wine. Enjoyed the appetizers and pasta. Dinged one star cuz the tables were so squeezed together to maximize capacity. All the seats were too close to neighboring tables. Almost felt like I was dining with strangers.

I find this place to be of the extremes. The food and decor presented is 10/10 but the overall vibes and people is a 1/10. I provide these numbers nonchalantly but the point is that you’ll never be disappointed by the food-wine but will constantly be disturbed by the staff-service.

I visited this place for the first time with co workers! The food and the service was very good. But the only feedback I would give is would be nice if the pizza was already cut into slices. I have been to Italy and rarely they would have a place where the pizza was just the way it is. Just makes your life easy especially if the crust is fresh and the toppings are fully loaded. It takes almost forever to cut the slices. Had I known that was the case I would have ordered something else. Just a suggestion doesn’t take too long probably easier for the kitchen to do that the person who’s struggling to get perfect slices .

Went here to celebrate my graduation with my family. Service was fantastic, and the food was delicious. Portions were a good size, and everything was great!! **just a note, it’s not wheelchair accessible. My grandmother has a walker and it was very difficult getting her in/out.

Took my mom out for a Valentine’s Day lunch & we loved our experience at Terroni. The aesthetic of the place is timeless and old fashioned with a modern restaurant twist. The pizza was absolutely incredible and tasty. Our server Mathew also made great recommendations. Will be back for sure for the yummy food and amazing hospitality

This place is unforgettable. Everything tasted very fresh, wholesome and flavourful. Tried the truffle pasta, rigatoni with zucchini, and baked oyster mushroom with arugula. Perfectly done. Ambience is cozy and service is awesome. Attentive, friendly staff.

Out of all the Italian restaurants in the city, Terroni is ALWAYS my favorite and never disappoints. A bit on the pricey side, but everything is fresh and hand made. I always try a new pasta dish when I visit and it never disappoints. Coffee, Lattes, drinks, juices and desserts are equally as good. Highly recommended! Your tummy will thank you!

We were a party of 8 having a Sunday lunch to entertain family who was visiting us from England after having not been in Canada for 30 plus years. The food was amazing. The ambiance is as always incredible, and the service from our waiter was outstanding. Really the only complaint was that we there weren't enough people on staff and so the service was a tiny but slow but it was not the fault of the servers. But Terroni Adelaide never lets us down, it is a go-to for everybody in my family

Cocktails were good. The food was 3/5. We had ravioli, gnocchi, mushroom pasta. Everything was ok, but not very delicious. It lacked taste. Ravioli tasted like a dough in some not very creamy souse. You couldn’t even feel the taste of the filling.

My second visit to Terroni was as memorable as the first, which was during our company's Christmas party. This time, it was a dinner with our boss and colleagues. Terroni consistently exceeds my expectations. Whether you're a fan of Italian cuisine or fine wine, this is the place to be. From their delectable pizzas to their exquisite pasta dishes, everything is superb – and I mustn't forget to mention the delightful wine selection. The ambiance and music only add to the experience. Without a doubt, Terroni deserves a perfect 5 out of 5 rating. It's a top-notch choice for fine dining Italian cuisine in Toronto.

So delicious. Still the best Italian food in the city hands down. Much much much better than Gusto (that only has hype going for it) the Adelaide st location is a sight to see in of itself it’s very beautiful and historic. Great for a date or a group dinner! Thank you so much will for sure be back.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at Terroni, and I can't say enough about the exceptional experience I had. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that this restaurant is a well-oiled machine, and it's all thanks to the remarkable leadership of the General Manager. The service at Terroni was nothing short of impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The environment at Terroni is perfectly welcoming, especially for families. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her dinner. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great choice for a family dinner or a special occasion.

First thing….fresh pasta. A true sign of a real Italian restaurant is that it serves fresh made pasta. Food quality was very high. The packing is very good as well. You pay for quality and its worth it. Keep up the great quality.

The food was really good as it was the service. It is a nice place to eat lunch or dinner if you want something more upscale without paying an arm and a leg. Having the menu in a Mixture of English and Italian is a bit confusing

The atmosphere is great if you like busy and lively restaurants. The servers are very attentive and professional. The building itself is a beautiful one with a lot of character since it was an old courthouse. The place is huge with very high ceilings and three stories. I appreciate the decoration a lot as it is beautiful, non repetitive (each corner has it’s own character) and at the same time cosy and inviting which is not easy to achieve in such a huge space. We had the Carpaccio Di Manzo as our appetizer which was super delicious. We also had Fettuccine Al Tartufo and Li Pecuri. The pizza was great but the pasta could’ve been a lot better. It tasted good but the presentation can improve. The portion was also smaller than previous times and looked a bit carelessly put together. We had Budino Di Caramello for desert which was too sweet to taste like nothing but oversaturated sweetness. Not the greatest dolce. I also had espresso which came cold and then changed to another one which tasted like it was heated rather than made again. Overall, I would go there again and do recommend it as your dining experience as a whole is not affected by these little things but it would be great to see an improvement to have a greater appreciation.

This was my favorite restaurant in DT Toronto, been there before and loved it. Made a reservation a month before and got there exited invited my mom after telling her how amazing it is. Staff are lovely as usual, drink ok, but the food was so disappointing! Pasta was like rubber, very chewy.. needs like 5 more minutes of cooking.. we had 2 kinds and both same! And $156 for this is too much! Sad experience!

Loved this place. Surprisingly quick service from when we ordered to when the food arrived on the table. Very nice and friendly server. Pasta (papardella) was delicious - nice pasta texture and good flavour. Burrata was excellent! Very fresh and delicious. All the dessert options are good every time I’ve been here. Highly recommend. The seating is relatively dark so it’s also nice for an intimate date night too.

The food was average, we ordered ravioli and a pizza and they both were ok.. nothing to rave about. The restaurant is not very kid friendly, the server asked us to keep our 18 month toddler in one place. Though the interiors and atmosphere was nice, they can definitely work on improving the food and hospitality.

Disappointing for the price point. But probably a decent option if you’re dining on a company card. We ordered appetizers and two mains which unfortunately all arrived at the same time which meant the pasta dishes were cold by the time we were ready to eat it. Pasta was under seasoned and the sauces were quite bland. Burrata was tiny and didn’t seem very fresh (no creamy explosion upon slicing it open). I must say that the affogato was exceptional, truly it was the best part of my meal. Service was friendly but the atmosphere was lacklustre and all the seats are rather uncomfortable.

Food was good but the service was abysmal. Our waitress barely came by our table to serve us and never gave us bread to start. When we asked for bread, she didn’t bring olive oil or anything else so we had to ask again. It was hard to get her attention since we were seated at the back of the patio. The food came relatively quickly but after the food came, the waitress never returned to our table to ask about dessert or if we were done. Also the patio chairs were probably the most uncomfortable chairs i’ve ever sat on.

A go-to for downtown client/team lunches. Beautiful decor and quick service. One less star because both times I ate here this month, the pasta was undercooked. The noodles were hard and the same comment was said by another guest at my table. In the past, it’s been fantastic. Perhaps it’s a recent kitchen issue that I hope gets resolved soon.

  • 1/5 swapnil a. 2 years ago on Google
1 star is mostly for the hospitality..we reached 15 mins before our reservation and were told to stand aside as reservation was for 15 mins later in extremely rude way by the hostesses..there was no place to stand in side and when we got seated i looked around and there many tables empty..second is the food..arrived like 5 mins after we ordered and tasted bland..like reheated..drinks were ok...service was decent.. Would not recommend a place that takes there guest for granted..

Given the current restrictions on indoor dining and the various factors that the restaurants have to manage, we had a wonderful night at the restaurant. We have been patrons since the nascent stage of the business on Queen West and our most recent experience will result in our continued business. The atmosphere was excellent, the food was very good and the service was down to a T with perfect timing and engagement.

  • 5/5 Alexandra M. 2 years ago on Google
From the time we walked in, sat down and left, every moment was breath-taking. The atmosphere was that of an old time movie and definitely brings the charm of visiting a bustling hollywood nightlife in the entrance on the 1st floor, to a modern take on a regal hall with long harry potter style tables for our large group. What a night to celebrate one another in the setting, with good company and lovely hosts. The food was especially delicious as all 20 of us enjoyed a wide variety of the menu. We encourage the dabble and take advantage of shared platters.

My standards are pretty high for Italian food right now just having come back from Italy. I really enjoyed the fried mushroom oyster on arugula appetizer. My pesto based pasta was well prepared and tasted good but relatively plain and one note. Granted this was probably just a poor choice for me and the menu was quite large. So my experience is based on my one sample... Likely never to happen again as I have little chance to return to Toronto. The atmosphere out in the front room was ok though I understand further in is a lot nicer. My group choose the seats before I arrived. Solid Italian food overall. But the best I've had. But my tastes run vegetarian with heavy emphasis on veggies. I'd go here again to try some other menu options and sit in the nicer area further inside.

The experience was great, the service was also very good and great ambiance! I had the gnocchi and the chocolate tart, they were both good. I would say that there are better choices than the gnocchi, some folks had the skewers and they liked it much better. The pizza was also a great sharable appetizer for a large table

  • 5/5 Grace D. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely stunning restaurant! Broad range of both food and drink options. The service was good, the whole team was knowledgeable and kind and many of them looked Italian. The food came very quickly. The food was quite tasty, although my dish was a lot better than my mom’s. The pizza was great, the gnocci was a little underwhelming but overall, the food tasted fresh and was full of good, authentic flavour. Desserts were also quite good. Very good service, very good food and would absolutely recommend this restaurant to others.
