What is this Hype magic!!! I'm so happy to have found Hype. My daughter has a long list of sensitives and she's never had a birthday cake made just for her that she could eat. It was so special! And she LOVED the cake. Thank you Hype team, really good work.

Great vegan cake and great customer service. The same day order was a lifesaver! They called me after I put in the order to confirm details and make sure that the cake would be ready exactly for when I needed it. They also took care to include a complete description of the ingredients to take home so I could show it to my guests with dietary restrictions and put them at ease. And most importantly, the cake was DELICIOUS and very pretty. Thanks again!!

I ordered a cookie and cupcake online and the process was easy to go through. Your order gets confirmed via mail and you also get a reminder for your pickup. I had to call them as I was running late vs the scheduled pickup time and they were understanding. The pickup went really smoothly too. Service was quick and friendly. It was a busy place as a lot of customers were picking up. I did not wait long as it seems they’re super organized. The cupcake was beautifully presented. I got the mocha one. The icing was delightful. Nice espresso flavor, light and lip licking good. The cake part of the cupcake was good, nice and airy, a bit crumbly but I wished it had a bit more chocolate flavor. The cherry on the cake was that piece of coffee grin that was crunchy and added nice texture and a shot of flavor. The chocolate chip cookie was the softer type of cookie. It was enjoyable. This place is nut free, gluten free and free from priority allergens, which is really good for people with allergies. Kudos to the Hype team! Also, I was very surprised that my cupcake and cookie were plant based as I would not have guessed. I will definitely keep them in mind for my guests that have dietary restrictions for future events so that everyone can enjoy their food.

Ordered during covid online for Mother's day was super easy and curbside pick up was a breeze. People seemed friendly too. Donuts, there were only 3 varieties in my order, but they were great looking. My wife was going dairy free so these were a great option. They tasted great and were very light. The main difference between these and regular donuts is that you can tell they are plant based because they have that granular feel to them still. Had the Dolewhip ice cream here. Just like I remember from Hawaii. So refreshing! Tried their Cookies and Cream cupcake. They're a little small and pricey IMO. But similar to the Donuts, it's a decent alternative if you're looking for plant based.

I came to Hype because I'm eating dairy-free, soy-free and egg-free. This diet is new to me and I was eager to try a restaurant that catered specifically to people avoiding common allergens. The staff was friendly and eager to chat about the menu. The owner explained how his children had food allergies leading his family to cook without common allergens. I went a little crazy and bought almost everything they have. For lunch I got a protein and veggie box. You can mix and match from a bunch of options. I also picked up some baking for later. And dairy-free London Fog. And my son and I both enjoyed pineapple dairy-free ice cream. It was a bit of a haul. I'll also mention this place is stroller- and baby-friendly. There is a ramp and automatic door opener. There is space to park your stroller right by the tables. There are change tables in the two unisex bathrooms. It's also great for young kids because there is a train table and Duplo table set up right beside the dining tables. Really I can't wait to go back with my 4 year old.

The chocolate cake we ordered for our son’s birthday was honestly perfect. We also ordered cupcakes for daycare and they were also a hit. We got sooo many compliments on the cake and how you would never know it was top 10 allergen free. It was both beautiful and delicious, and most of all, our son gobbled it up. Our son has many allergies, and it was so wonderful to have peace of mind that he wouldn’t have a reaction, and that he could enjoy a delicious cake, just like everyone else. Pauline and her staff were so wonderful to work with. You have a customer for life!! Thank you!

The people at Hype go above and beyond with every order. I ordered 3 Halloween decorating kits and they were delivered today, one of them was actually custom made (they were offering cookies and I asked for a cupcake kit as well) Absolutely gorgeous and delicious. The little ones were so incredibly excited!!! The yummy treats were a total hit.

I know so many have raved about Hype Food Co in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, but boy is it amazing to experience it for ourselves. This was the first time our kids (1, 3, 5) who have multiple severe food allergies to peanuts, treenuts, eggs, soy, dairy, and sensitivity to wheat to go into a bakery and sit down in a restaurant and be able to enjoy literally anything and everything in the entire menu and I didn’t feel the need to wipe everything down. Not only was everything safe, but it was also DELICIOUS. I wasn’t too sure what to expect because I knew our kids would probably mainly just want chicken and rice, but even that was delicious and our pickiest little (David, 5) exclaimed that it was yummy! Mega win!! When we first walked in, our daughter (Allison, 3) asked if there were allergens in the cupcakes and donuts displayed and it was so wonderful to say “no, you can pick any that you’d like!” (She picked chocolate strawberry) When we sat down with our bowls (I had brown rice pasta with marinara and mushrooms, beef, my husband had zoodles, rice, with the sunflower satay, beef, and a couple other veggies and my sister had doodles, brown rice pasta, coconut curry, beef, spinach, and apple), she again asked if there were any allergens (because usually we bring our own safe food into restaurants and are diligently wiping the whole table and all the chairs down), and I could again happily respond, “no! Everything here is safe for you.” After they ate, they walked around the corner and discovered, to their delight, there were train tables and crayons, and dry erase markers to draw on the wall (and get their picture taken if they wanted to). Our oldest asked if we could stay all day, which, is big for him to say since he is always wanting to go to the next thing. They had two easily accessible bathrooms with changing stations in both as well, which, if you are traveling with littles, is so helpful. I could go on and on about how amazing this place is, but I can’t end this review without mentioning how incredibly kind the owners are. They were so down to earth, let us in to sit down and eat even though they technically were going to close in 5 minutes, and were so, so gracious in every way. I had contacted them on Facebook Messenger ahead of time to inquire about whether they could indeed accommodate all our allergies and discovered they would only be open for half a day while we were there so placed an order the week before for all the safe market items and breakfast items that we could to last us all week long. If you’re in Toronto, or traveling there, I highly recommend you go! We are staying in Vaughan and it was totally worth the drive. I hope everyone with food allergies gets to experience this level of service and food at least once. We will for sure be back next time we are in town!

I'm enjoying a regular size Raspberry Whip along with a Cookies and Cream cupcake from Hype Food Co. along Gerrard St. E today. It was very easy to complete my ordering and payment on their website. This venue touts itself as having a kitchen free from gluten, is an allergy-aware fast casual restaurant and bakery that is also nut-free. Plant-based and nut-free baked goods are available daily. Discounts are available on large orders but require 24-hour notice. I can taste what the Hype is all about, and healthy too!

This was a nice, quick lunch experience. The service was friendly and the food was good. I had a zucchini noodle box with chicken and the mushroom sauce. I wish their dole whip machine was working properly, but was told that the side that served the strawberry flavour had been malfunctioning for weeks. Overall, it's a bit pricey for what you get, but it was enjoyable. I will go back at some point.

I ordered this nut-free cake for my daughter's birthday party. Not only was it adorable, but it was delicious too! All the kids got to enjoy it! I'm so grateful that places like this exist so parents can feel confident about sending their kids to parties knowing what they're eating is safe and that they can all feel included.

Great customer service and delicious cupcakes. Ordered mini cupcakes online for my toddlers 'Frozen' themed birthday and they were able to accommodate the colour scheme requested. I would highly recommend this bakery for your next event!

I am very thankful to have found this bakery as I have to eat gluten free and my nephew has nut allergies so I have ordered multiple times for our family gatherings. I have ordered a cake, cupcakes and most recently pumpkin pies. All are delicious and fresh and are easy to order online. I also appreciate that they have same day order in case you have a last minute gathering.

Great if you have food allergies and need a safe place to order sweets from but if you don't have allergies I wouldn't recommend this place. My partner brought me a birthday cake from here and it tasted like cardboard. I love all things healthy so used to things being a little more bland but this was beyond bland. Also wasn't happy that the ingredients use canola and palm oil.

I am so thankful for a bakery store such as this! My two kids have multiple allergies, almost 20 altogether and for the first time, both kiddos were able to enjoy cupcakes brought from a friend's son's birthday that accommodated for them. The small cupcakes are delicious even frozen! I will be buying all my celebratory desserts from here from now on!

We ordered from Hype Food Co. for a work event. It was recommended to us as we have some people that have nut and egg allergies and we wanted to get baked goods everyone could enjoy! We got cookie and cupcake decorating kits. The online ordering system was very easy to navigate. Pickup was straight forward and the staff were friendly. They walked us through the storing instructions for everything and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The cookies and cupcakes were excellent and everyone had a blast decorating them. Thank you again!

Hype Food Co was awesome! My son and I have multiple food allergies so were excited to have a place to safely eat in Toronto. Not only were the bowls delicious (our entire party of 7 ate here and loved it), but the cupcakes were the best allergy-friendly ones we have ever eaten. The frosting was light and fluffy and the cake was tasty & had a great texture. I had an opportunity to speak with the owner when we were there about the challenges of having a child with food allergies. It's an amazing concept and she has hit it out of the ballpark! Can't wait to visit Toronto again to eat at Hype Food Co.
