I came here early on a Saturday night to meet up with some friends. We came in and paid cover, and sat down. Two more of my friends tried to join us and were refused at the door because they needed to buy a bottle for entry. I had decided to buy the bottle for my friends because I was really hoping to have a good time. After giving my credit card and ID to the owner, I was told I wasn’t allowed to sit at a central table even though it was empty, unsold and remained empty all evening. It took the bartender over 45 minutes to get us a bottle and a spot and they had refused to give me back my ID and credit card when I had asked if I could leave. All of my friends work in the service industry and we’re blown away by how rude and disrespectful the staff had been. All we wanted was to buy a $300 bottle and have a good night and we were treated terribly. We were never refunded cover, no one ever apologized and the blame kept moving from the owner to the poor staff that had to put up with him. As a server and bartender I’m disgusted by this treatment of clientele and his staff. I truly hope for better for this establishment.

Our friend had reserved a booth for a birthday. We came to join them and still have to pay for cover. Fine, it was only $10. Our friends already had few bottles at the booth but we decided to order an extra bottle to the table as a gift for them. The bill came up to almost $400 for a tequila bottle! The next day, we talked to our friends and they said we got ripped off, because they only paid about $200 for that same bottle. Different price for different people. Terrible business etiquette! I'll give it a 2* because the music was actually good.

We went and a guy in a blue jays jacket and a poiny tail rudely asked (in my face) to leave our table. He hovered by me (too close) then went to the only guy in my group and then said “this table is reserved leave” and proceeds to grab my friend by his neck and aggressively force him out before asking him to even leave. I looked over at my friend being aggressively forced out and tried to push this man off of him. I said you don’t grab people like that and he kicked me out. While we were outside of the bar he said “you’re lucky I didn’t push him down the stairs”. I don’t think that’s how you treat people, and threatening a person (of ANY gender) is unacceptable. Avoid this bar. I spoke to the security next door about what happened and they said “threatening to push people down the stairs isn’t our style”. Avoid this bar- I worry for people as security is aggressive. There are plenty of friendly bars in Toronto :)

Call this place Apartment 200 men because when I went there were probably 50 guys to 10 girls. It was so awkward seeing all the guys just stand around. Nothing was going on. Music was lackluster. Bouncers were rude. They act all big and bad until they try the wrong group of people I just know it lmao. Drinks are overpriced for this run down , dirty, rotting, mid experience. DONT come here if you value your time, money and friends.

Went on a Sunday night.. Waited 45mins in line, once we got to the front, the bouncers starting letting in whoever else that would show up at the door without reservations.. I had not seen them do that to the other people who were in line before us… Bouncers were aggressive (verbally and physically) towards clients just waiting to go inside. A lot of ego coming from that team. Once in, the music was too loud and the DJ was mediocre. We left within 5mins and didn’t even care that we had already paid for cover. I adore Apt 200 in Montreal, which is why I was looking forward to this Toronto location but unfortunately I will never come back. I don’t understand why the atmosphere has to be so hostile outside the club when people are cooperating and simply wanting to enjoy themselves

Coming from someone who works in bars, I can tell this place has management issues judging by how rude all the staff are. Even when we got a booth they’re all so short tempered with everyone. It’s too bad because if it weren’t for the attitude it would be a great spot.

I spent $47.20 on two single vodka crans and out of the 15 minutes it took me to get them, about 10 of those minutes were spent with a man’s hand on my back who just kept saying “I’m Jamal” while I repeatedly ignored him. Non-gendered bathrooms were cool but there is no safe space for women in this place. If I was doing a documentary on how the nightlife in Toronto is pathetic, I would start with this joint (and I’ve been to the Maddy, I mean come on now). This is not about the club management or anything but they had some of the WORST dressed people I have seen in my short 22 years on this Earth. If you’re a straight person with rancid vibes you’ll love this place.

Terrible experience. I am currently disabled and recovering from breaking 4 bones in my foot and while I can walk, I bring a cane with me in case I get sore or fall. Security at the door questioned me really heavily upon arrival regarding whether I needed it or not. She said it can be used as a weapon and would have to ask the owner if I could bring it in. She came out after talking with the owner and said if it’s not for medical purposes then I can’t bring it. I felt really pressured to not bring it in because we had already been waiting 15 minutes to find out if I could enter with my cane and felt bad for making my friends wait so I went in without it. Not a very accommodating place for anyone with a disability. Really poor judgement call on the security guard as it was a cane from shoppers (clearly not an accessory) and I was limping?? Called the owner the next morning to complain and he seemed to be really apologetic and said he would talk to security about it and hope he actually does.

Went here for my 23rd birthday with my girls and got a booth. Thank GOD I didn’t “pree drink” because I needed the sobriety to “girl boss” and talk to those bouncers. The female bouncer with the tattoos was very stern like girl this not the US military it’s just APT 200 constantly telling me to stand to the side when I was ALREADY ON THE SIDE!!!! Also they were giving my final guest a hard time to get in at 12am. I paid $1100 for this booth and I didn’t even get sparklers for my bottles. Let her in. With that being said. The DJ was AMAZING! If you want a dancehall/rap music vibe then this is your place. Didn’t get weird vibes from the people there. Besides bouncer/security this place was loads of fun. Would I go back? Yes. However to avoid issues please go early because by 11:45 they were giving a lot of people in line problems.

Nice place, nice people BUT awful DJ he played rap all along the night while everybody was asking for dancing songs. WHAT the point to play music rap at a club during 3h! People were leaving because of the song. So frustrating, we were ready to have fun but at the end we didn’t. the bartender doesn’t know how to make cocktails The place has a lot of potential but unsatisfied experience because of the DJ!

The security is tight here, but theyare friendly, kind and gentle. The staff at the bar are very nice friendly and adorable. I rather spend time at the bar with ear plugs and enjoy the bartender's company. music is very loud very crowded dance floor, sticky floors. Manger Clint is nice but stern, he got eyes everywhere. place is not bad for one visit. not a crowd I would blend in with. but others may love the type of crowd this place is catered to. over all it was an okay expericance.

Honestly, I don't understand the business model. Had 12 people in my party; they turned me around for not wearing the "proper clothing"... I wasn't dressed poorly. Anyways, we all left. The bouncers are all on some kind of power trip lol.

imagine being a 30 something year old, no ambition in life, abusing your power as a bouncer to dismiss people like this… i’m sorry i’m young and hot and you are doing this to feed your kids but damn! the club isn’t lit, your better off going somewhere where people acc dance. Bouncers definitely ate lunch by themselves in high school so now they’re projecting. the crowd is questionable too, i see why legit no one goes here because you’ll leave in 5 minutes.

⚠️ AVOID THIS BAR ⚠️ Went here last night with friends. After sitting at our table for awhile, one of the security (wearing a Blue Jays jacket and had a ponytail) came over and rudely told us our table had been “reserved” and that we had to leave. He hovered over us while we gathered our things before grabbing my friend by his neck and dragging him out. Once we all got outside he told us “you’re lucky I didn’t push him down the stairs”. It was completely unnecessary and over the top. Anyone who escalates to violence and threats like that should not be in a position of power. We honestly should’ve reported it to the police. I will never spend my money at this bar again and I caution others to avoid it. Not worth getting assaulted over nothing.

Used to love this place. If you get in it can be a lot of fun, the vibes are great. The security and door staff here suck. They’re very rude. Overall the club is good with good music, it’s really the security and door staff that are a big waste of time.

Music is good but a bit too loud. Overall vibe was great. I liked all the bartenders except for this one bartender that was hella rude. Trying to wave her down for some water for my friend but she just straight up wouldn’t look at me.. kept trying to wave her down just for her to yell at me after a minute saying she saw me already and to stop bothering her. Which really doesn’t make sense if she wouldn’t even acknowledge me.

I went to an after party here and I didn't stay long. It seemed like a cute place but I had a few issues with it. The music was so insanely loud it physically hurt, and even yelling in my boyfriend's ear at the far end away from the dj we couldn't make out conversation, and had to communicate through text. But if you know ASL then I guess it's not a problem? The atmosphere was cool but it was so dark, as a server and bartender it almost seemed like they were hiding something... Like if the glasses and tables weren't actually clean, but to some people that doesn't matter I guess. Also for this experience we had to pay $10/pp at the door and they only accepted cash.

I went with a group of friends 5 girls 3 guys and they let all us girls in but none of the guys. This would’ve been fine MAYBE if we’d gone in and guys were there. There were none. It was all girls because of some quite frankly, stupid, ratio they try to maintain (as though women are meat and the more the better) anyways. Obviously I was disappointed in their treatment of out party. But to be fair the security guards were nice and just doing their job. We paid $20 for apt. 200 left to go to cold tea (6 min walk away) our WHOLE party got in AND the vibes were better. If apt. 200 isn’t working try Cold Tea girlies xx.

The people at the door are really sweet. I was in July 20th. Pretty chill night. Had a terrible experience with the light skin woman giving stamps at the top of the stairs. She was honestly SO rude to my friends and I. She seemed absolutely miserable and it was very clear every single person in line was catching her attitude. I won’t be coming back on Thursdays because of this woman.

Apt 200 cool club for people ages 18-34 or anyone else that loves that university and Victoria feel partying. Monday friday and saturdays are typically really litty there. Monday is super crazy but you need to either have bottle services. The best day for women or those who identify as such are Wednesday’s as women are free and the men have to pay.

Place doesn't want "Caribana" crowd and made sure that the security was militant towards people of colour who are just looking for a good time. Miserable people that work here. Management and security need an upheaval.

Great bar, but the bouncers truly ruin it. White guy in the pony tail has the biggest power trip on earth, acting as if hes airport security. Only come if you have girls with you, dont even bother if you’re all guys. Pony tail man really out here runing peoples nights for no reason, like calm down. Aside from him the interior is great music as well.

I can't fault the venue, it's a really awesome space. Pool tables, arcade games, nice lighting , super friendly staff. My only real complaint was the crowd. The white people were f**king awful. It's a little pricier here so the white crowd (read white bros) are totally awful, like, absolutely awful, but otherwise everyone is super respectful. Good music, can't fault that either

Weird lil Asian lady security guard was letting in her friends but not the people who’ve been waiting for hours in line. On top of that this place is so poorly managed and they only care about people spending $300 + on bottles. Completely backwards place to party at, they steal ur money then give u a hard time. Would not recommend

The lady bartender was so rude! I showed my phone with a written note asking for a glass of water. She insisted I use my voice. I signed to her saying I didn’t want to. I just cant talk that loud. She just ignored me and walked away. What’s with the attitude? Apart for that, it’s a nice spot. I had a good time!

The DJ that was hosting Saturday September 3rd was the worst DJ I have ever experienced visiting a club downtown Toronto. This place has potential to be a great club but whoever that DJ was must be reevaluated. Such a terrible experience. Never coming back due to the quality of music.

Been going to this place for years now. One of Toronto's sturdiest night life spots. For a dope industry night, come Monday. For a general coolass vibe, come thru Fri or Sat. They often host many off-day events as well. And they have a small arcade section and pool table to get your Efren Reyes on. Drinks are solid, staff are dope. Recommended!

The ambience and aesthetic of this place is amazing. It's got a really nice old school vibe and they have a few old school arcade games (Tekken, NBA and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as well as a pool table with quite a few places to sit. Overall it's a really nice space.

Me and two friends at the front of the line for 45 minutes, but they didn't let us in trying to balance ratios. We just left. Also security got in three different arguments with people in the line during my time there. Not a friendly place, won't come here again.

Apt 200 is by far my favourite place in the city to go out! Whether I’m playing billiards, playing one of the two retro arcade games, having bottle service or just having casual drinks by the bar, there’s no other place I’d rather be. The cool thing about Apt 200 is that they’re always doing different events throughout the week, so there’s always something that appeals to any crowd

terrible experience here. before i even got in the door guys had given me a terrible attitude due to their irritation with my questions. I was simply given poor communication and so i requested to speak with management to resolve the issue. As i was on a free guest list and then upon arrival i was told i must pay $10 to get in. i reiterated that i was on a guest list and they didn’t seem to care about that. Instead they denied my entry due to my respective questions that i wanted to take up with management. so they ruined my time there and just seemed to be on a power trip. wouldn’t recommend.

Maybe people have fun here in the late crowded scene, but I had a harder time leaving than getting in. They gave 2 of us 2 coat tickets without differentiating, even though we asked. I tried to do an Irish exit but I was at the the door for 20+ minutes. They told me to step back inside and wait. When I checked back they said "well you left, so wait again" YOU TOLD ME TO GO AWAY! omg I haven't been that angry for years. Also, My colleague who is a regular walked by and saw the situation, asked the girl to get my coat, and it was done immediately.... Why?! Please Why?! I will forever hate this place.
