Went there a few weeks ago with my partner. The place itself and the entertainment are nice but there are some oddities there. First, I don't know if they had a particular staff meeting on greeting because of the reviews saying the staff wasn't being attentive, but it looks like they went to the other extreme. We had just entered, walked at a standing table then towards a sitting table, that 3 staff members had showed up to ask what we wanted to order. Then two of them (one being in training) were hovering and staring, without letting us the time to read the menu. Even when I said I needed a few minutes, the waitress just stood next to me, staring, until I ordered something. Second weird thing: there's no price on most of the items on their menu, which I don't find particularly reassuring. When the bill came, I had the surprise to see that they charge $9 for shot.. $9!! So I completely agree with other review: way overpriced. I try to go out in the Village to participate to the local economy but there are limits..

Food was great, drinks were good but the service was garbage. The server looked like he absolutely despised his life and wouldn’t even make eye contact with us so ordering anything was impossible. I had to go up to the bar to order food because we were being ignored. It really, reeaaaalllly seems like if you’re a woman at the drink you’ll be getting 75% less service than the men do. It was an uncomfortable experience and I will not be going back, despite the atmosphere food and drinks being good. It seems like from the other reviews your staff aren’t leaving a great impression on others as well. (The one guy with the white spacers at the bar was actually lovely, the only way I got any service that night)

Despite myself getting too intoxicated, the staff remained helpful and kind for our entire stay. Performances were top notch. The food is excellent and the service, again, is superb! Fantasist place for a night out for cocktails and a good show!

The drink is one of my favourite places in the village. From the entertaining drag shows, to the yummy pizza, and the crafty drinks. It’s definitely a vibe for a fun night out. Last time I went, Darius was super helpful and courteous when attending to our table. He was extremely friendly and recommended us a holiday drink that I couldn’t get enough of. Made the night much more fun!

Some of the friendliest staff in the area. A bartender/server named Alex who often wears a gold chain has always been super accommodating. Very nice interactions every visit. This business is always busy when I go here. On the off chance it is a bit slower, the staff definitely keep you company and entertained!

Was in Toronto for a conference and a friend directed me to The Drink for a fun night out. Went on a Monday and it was a BLAST! I had not had the pleasure to see a Drag Queen in person before, but they had 3 performing that night :) (I guess they have a show every night of the week!) The ladies were awesome with the crowd. People were up dancing and having a super fun time. The drinks were great....they have a whole menu of delicious cocktails named after drag queens. Super yummy and totally fun to choose from. The service was great with both table and bar service. I would definitely recommend!!

The staff here are so wonderful. I had such a great time. The drag queen Rosie was amazing! I especially love the server/bartender/very handsome boy Ryan, and not because I am his mom or anything. We had the nachos and they were huge! Did I mention the handsome boy Ryan?!

Every single time my friends and I have gone to the drink, we have had horrible experiences with one of the staff. He is always rude to us whenever we ask about something or even just ordering a drink from him. Its not needed and just makes our experience at the drink bad. The drinks are also very overpriced. Last night was the last straw for us.

Went here tonight and got a double rum in ice. The bartender gave me a single and charged me a double. Service was bad, they only give good service to their friends it seemed. Most likely won’t ever be back here. My biggest regret was giving an 18% tip to a bartender who acted like he probably didn’t want me there. Lame.

My friend was treated abhorrently tonight by the bouncer, who turned a single question into the most needlessly confrontational situation. Greeting customers with a superiority complex is a really great way to make sure they never come back.

The Drink is a place that includes everybody. I am new to this country, from Ukraine. I immigrate as a refugee and have felt very safe here. Mama Asti is an amazing drag queen. Come see her! The staff are very nice and patient with me. The owner and manager have been so nice and recognize me now. If you are new to Canada, come here to feel safe in who you are, and have a good time. Just remember to tip the drag queen!

My first time ever coming here and it was the best experience possible. This will probably be my go to spot whenever I need drinks or entertainment. Antonio was such an amazing bartender and was so knowledgeable about everything I asked. I was not expecting such professional experience! This man definitely deserves a raise or something because wow this experience was perfect. 10/10 highly recommend to everyone after the service I received.

Fun night! Visited on Victoria Day from 12-close with a friend. The bouncer was friendly and bar service was quick. Atmosphere was good, clean, and there was a special with $3.50 cocktails.

Went in for less than 2 minutes, the music was playing at a volume that honestly felt unsafe without hearing protection. Caused an earache that lasted hours after leaving and potentially permanent damage. Should be a warning about the sound level before entering

It was my first time to a gay bar, as it's never somewhere I have visited. I have never felt a more friendly atmosphere, or had more fun, than I did here. Wellsley (hoping I'm spelling his name right) was such a sweetheart, and treated us more as friends, than as customers at the bar. It was an amazing experience and definitely will be back again.

By far my fave bar in the village! I have loved every experience here. Good, welcoming vibes. The drag show is amazing, and all the queens are super approachable. The cocktails are so well mixed and they have a great selection. (Even for me, an food allergy person). And there is free popcorn! I have never once felt like I didn’t belong. Special shout outs to Wellesley and Ryan, the best and most attentive bartenders. They are so sweet and responsive. Highly recommend!

My girl and I had a really great time here! We were in town on a Monday and figured it was unlikely we’d find anywhere very lively. We were very pleasantly surprised at the drink! Excellent drag by all on cast, very affordable drinks, great service and a very friendly crowd.

My recent visit to “The Drink - Cocktail & Pizza Bar“ left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the establishment's integrity. The bartenders engaged in unethical practices, overcharging customers they believed to be intoxicated. This predatory behavior is both deceitful and exploitative, preying on vulnerable individuals who may not be fully aware of their surroundings. It is a clear breach of trust and demonstrates a lack of moral compass within the bar's staff. Not only did I personally fall victim to their deceptive tactics, but the overall service at "The Drink - Cocktail & Pizza Bar“ was subpar. The bartenders prioritized their personal conversations and socializing over attending to customers, displaying a disregard for professionalism. The bar should look after their staff and train them not to cheat the clients because this is really disgusting. I come to the bars to have a good time and to relax, I don't go there to argue and check the prices with the waiters.

Hello, I went to The Drink for the first time during Halloweekend, with a group of friends, and we were all very pleased with the experience. The crowd (beautiful diversity) and the drag shows were so much fun and entertaining. But most importantly the service we received was remarkable. Adam took really good care of us, making sure we had what we needed, especially a filled drink in our hands 😉. Other staff members ensured tables were cleared of empty glasses and clean, which is also a sign of great customer service. Highly recommended and definitely one of my top favourite places in the Village. Thank you!

The Drink cocktail bar in Toronto is a hidden gem! The ambiance is chic and inviting, perfect for a relaxing night out. The cocktails are superbly crafted, bursting with unique flavors. So what I love about the drink are two things. 1) DJSAMM. He is by far the best. 2) my favorite. WELLESLEY!!!!! He is just such a ray of sunshine and positivity all the time. He might be running from the bar to the windows with a tray full of drinks but he will find the time to stop and give you 30 seconds to have that moment with you that makes you feel special ... and his espresso martinis are to die for!

I come to the village regularly and The drink is incredible. Specifically Connor makes the best cocktails. Kel , Wellesley, Kevin, Shawn and Antonio make coming to the drink such a joy at all time. I came here with a few friends for a night out and we had an amazing time!! The performances were so engaging and fun and our server Maha took such great care of us!! Visiting Toronto for the first time. Decided to check out this place and although it seemed slow but they have a very good beer selection and actually poured some strong drinks. What made me stay was the awesome bartenders and staff. They convsered and made me feel a home. Definitely would recommend this place if you wanna relax and chill.

My boyfriend and I stumbled in here on a Sunday evening on vacation from the States, and it was such a pleasant surprise! They had a drag show that was really fun, but low key and the bartender (I think it was Ryan based on the website info.) was awesome. He made us feel so welcome and was just overall a really cool person that was easy to talk to and friendly. We would come back here based on the customer service alone, but my martini was also very good and shots of fireball went down smooth. Great, fun place!

This place has been my sacred grounds ever since fly closed down. The atmosphere is inclusive and the staff are incredibly efficient and talented. I’ve been going for years. Great drag shows followed by a lot of dancing thanks to Toronto’s top DJ’s. Whether you’re going alone or with a group of friends you’re bound ti meet others and have a great time!!! The Drink is a fantastic gay bar. The atmosphere is always fun, with a diverse offering of amazing drag shows and great music. The extensive cocktail and wine offering has something for everyone. Most of all the staff is incredible, always working to make sure everyone is well taken care of. For me visit is never complete without having one of there excellent pizza's.

I had such a great experience at The Drink. The cocktails were amazing and service from the bartenders were good as well. All the queens were amazing at performing, my favourites were Madee Lovegood and Destiny Doll for sure. I will definitely be coming back, 10/10 experience.
