Though the DJ & Waitstaff were deserving of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. The music was GOOD! This being my 2nd invite to hang for a drink with something to eat, everything was fine UNTIL we were first reminded AFTER our 4th guest arrival that there was a 2 hour limit to our party. We were NOT warned of this at the beginning. IMO, the Management felt the 2× bukets of 5 Heineken + 2x servings chicken wings was worthy of a 2 hour seat at our spot; only to have our waitress remind us 3 times, that we were allowed only 2 hours! We felt rushed to finish our drinks, and the person who arrived late forced to rush through their meal. There were empty tables not occupied and guests who were already there prior to our arrival, not asked relinquish their table. I very rarely give 3 ⭐⭐⭐, but time it was fitting being told 3 times within short intervals that there a 2 hour limit to our table of four. I guess that a few rounds of top-shelf Hennessey buys you more time. We tipped our waitress well; no need to blame her for management err in judgment.

Food is tasty. Drinks were good. Patio was nice! We even had the good year blimp fly over us and sun lime presented some of their costumes as a pre-show for Caribana

Excellent and very fun spot in Toronto. The food is always fresh and served hot and the drinks are served ice cold. Their pepper shrimp is hands down the best in Canada. I love it when they have the BBQ going and local DJ's on the patio. Overall a very fun, entertaining atmosphere. Will be back very soon!!!!

Ive been here a few times in the past and have always enjoyed it here. My last visit was different. I went to hang out with good friends I havent seen since 2019. It was great to see my brothers and the vibe/energy at tropical nights was amazing. It was very busy, the energy on the patio was electric; the dj was amazing. Pure wicked tunes all night. Our waitress was awesome too. She was very fun and friendly. The rum punch was delicious and had a serious punch 👊🏾 and the food we had from the BBQ was delish. 💯 The night couldn't have been better.👏🏾 I highly recommend this spot for an authentic Caribbean lime. 👌🏾

Omg!! It is such a vibe here at Tropical Nights Restaurant and Lounge. The music is great and even though it’s mostly a Caribbean sort of vibe, there is definitely a mixed crowd that just blends into one big family. I absolutely love the outdoors idea. I recommend this place to EVERYONE!!!! You gotta go once atleast. No regrets!

It was buffet style but they bring out your order. Food was tasty. The bakes could have been a bit softer. Fry rice and fry chicken was very good.

The place is horrible and i would give it a zero if I could. Hostess stand charged us $10 each to get in, told us we could sit anywhere and dine in, & that we didn't need a reservation. A few moments later this rude and unprofessional employee, real definition of a wasteman, comes around saying we can't sit there and he has to take the table outside. I told him what the hostess had just told us, he says she doesnt work with him like tf? Offered no accomodations, told us we would have to eat our food standing up at the bar. That's when I decided I wasn't going to spend my hard earned money with an establishment that doesn't care about its customers and treats them like dogs. I expect class when I go out, and will spend $500 on average to have a good time when the place is worth it. They will never have my business again. Come here if you want attitude and heavy sighs. Worst service i have ever experienced. Go anywhere else, the city has many other places that are way better than this dump.

Really good food . It's hard to find west indian food in the GTA. But this place delivered! Good pholourie, buss up shut, curry goat, no duck though :(. 10/10

I must say that today making a choice to order carribean fried rice and pepper shrimp was the worst. I spent 120.00 on peper shrimp a small party tray .I was so disappointed by the looks of it .I decided to try it because I tought maybe just by the looks maybe it's not so bad .but after trying one .the taste was so horrible ,the shrimp had a bitter taste as if the restaurant hasn't changed there oil in days .I must say that this is the worst restaurant for ordering food for a party .these people don't value your money .plus the lady taking orders is verry rude . I decided to rebook it .it taste a bit better but teh bitterness is still there .verry disappointed. The large tray fried rice I bought .it's supose to be just fry chicken on top insted it's as if they didn't have enofe and mixed my chicken with jerk chicken pcs .

Solid spot food was good. Got the tropical special mix fried rice with jerk chicken on top. And tried the chilli chicken dry and oxtail both sold choices as well. Service was slow for a friend’s oxtail with rice and peas, but was able to get that for free after my friend waited a really long time to get it. And got extra oxtail for the wait, very nice for that.

I love the vibes in this place. I'm from Brooklyn New York and this location in the summer using the outdoor patio is like a good island beach vibe. The inside dance club is amazing. DJ on point, a mix of all types of music. If you are ever in Scarborough Canada stop by this spot.

Good food. Great deals on alcoholic beverages. It gets busy on the weekends. Their pepper shrimp / import beers bucket deal is my favorite. They also have a brunch buffet on Sundays. Service is usually fast.

Excellent Experience, they have a large outdoor patio and bar with the sounds of the Caribbean playing from sound system. I believe they also provide live entertainment from time to time. Drinks were great and food was also very good. I did however, find my meal not as hot as I would have liked it. My server was friendly and professional., I will return. Thank you for a great experience.

We wanted to originally have the Caribbean food options but was unaware the chef that does those dishes is only onsite Thursday to Sunday. Will have to come back one day to try those items Their Chicken Chow Mein and Special Fried Rice is amazing, also to note the hot sauce here is a banger. Be sure to grab that for your dishes. The Pepper Shrimp has an interesting tempura style batter that's very light and crispy. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. She recommended the Rum Punch and it also was a very nice cocktail. Nice and quiet for the late afternoon time when we went. Would definitely come back again to vibe out.

Enjoyed Tropical Nights - great roti- authentic and made on site. Curries were also super and the love music.

All you can eat Sunday brunch for $15.95 + tax! This was my first visit to Tropical Nights and my guests and I can’t wait to go back! All the veggie dishes were delicious and packed full with flavour! The curry chicken hit the spot and oh man the portion on the fried chicken and rice were super generous! Food was delicious, staff were super nice however be prepared for an island time experience. I don’t recommend coming here if you’re scheduled to go somewhere after. Friendly but super slow service from the kitchen.

I went to Tropical Nights Restaurant with my family for my anniversary. We were vacationing from USA. It was the first time we been there as I goggled the restaurant- I am so glad we did - it was one of the best experience ever. We were seated on the patio, there was live music, the atmosphere was just right and the waitress, the guards and all the workers were very accommodating. I would totally go back there with my family. Only downside was we were given paper plates and forks to eat with. Overall it was a great experience

Very good drink buckets but food wasn't good. We ordered 2 stag buckets and the tropical special Lo Mein. The Lo Mein was sweetie and the fried chicken on the top tasted dry and brittle like it was in the fryer for waaay too long. Customer service was great. Our server was exceptionally sweet and she kept checking on us frequently.

We were thankfully notified at the door that it was a cash bar only that night. The atmosphere is awesome and safe and the DJ was great, playing a mix of new and old skool music! I went there with the most amazing girl in the world so I had an amazing time.

An amazing experience. Our sever was efficient and courteous. Great selection of menu items. Then there's the roof top patio. Definitely one of the best in the GTA and the best in Scarborough. A great spot to relax and enjoy a good meal and adult beverages.

Few friends met up here for few drinks and dinner. Everything was great till the DJ setup his equipment and started to play music. They play great music and the atmosphere is nice as well. Note to self: 11pm onwards u will not be able have a conversation inside the place.

Started coming here last summer. Had one of the best dates I've ever had with my wife (I remember telling her that night, "I feel alive"). The food and entertainment are absolutely phenomenal. The lamb curry was the absolute bomb. Reasonable prices. The service can be a bit slow at times, but we were in no rush/it didn't bother either of us. We declared this to be our official spot (we will be back). Can't wait to come back and try the duck.

I could understand the reason for all the security knowing tropical nights. never been there the first time I decided to go the security tried to kick me out cause I looked suspension realistically i lost the people I came in with so I went dolo to chill outside😂good spot tha won't stop me from coming back tho. He didn't get to kick me out

Very nice food. General tao chicken is very good Pepper shrimp is very good Stir fry vegetables very good Fried rice and chicken very good Their pepper sauce is nice as well. I will buy back from here.

Food service is slow, and the kitchen staff does not wear hair net as there is hair in the Chow Mein. This appears to be a common occurrence when we told the waitress, she did not question and said she believed us. Otherwise, the price point of food and drinks is reasonable. The establishment has ample space on their outdoor patio with good music.

Large group of 30. Reservation fell through last minute. Lucky for us tropical nights at was kind enough to take our reservation last minute. The staff was lovely, food was great, portions big, well priced and great music. They were extremely accommodating, attentive and kind.

Biggest mistake. We had birthdays to celebrate and we started at this place. 1. The website said they opened at 11 on Sundays. We arrived a11:30 and we were told they started opening at 12:30pm. When I went back on the site I showed that at 10:56am on the same morning they had updated it. It was downhill from there. 2. People were waiting in the parking lot for over an hour in the rain waiting for the to open up. No apologies nothing complimentary to say we value value our customers and appreciate that you waited 3. Every single plate the waitress brought to us was DIRTY. I guess they were offended that we asked for clean plates because on we got the first portion of our buffet order she didn't return with the rest. We only got to order once because the waitress never came back. 4. Most of the parking lot people that came in with and after us were served and left before us. With the little portions we were given we definitely did not get our monies worth. The waitress didn't seem to know her head from her foot. 5. Same waitress gave our food away to another table; at that point we'd had enough. So we asked for the rest of the food we had ordered to go. She acted like she was doing us a favour by giving us 2 containers. The rice was tough, but the rest of the food was ok, but the bad service, dirty dishes and dirty attitude will definitely leave a bad tast in your mouth.

Went for brunch. Food tasted ok. Waitress offered drinks without mentioning they were extra. Service was slow due to lack of servers. Restaurant prefers to throw away leftovers of food rather than let you take food you have already half eaten or charge 7 dollars for you to take it. So you pay once and have to pay again to take your remainder. I understand it's a brunch but I already paid, why can't I take what is left on my plate. Not sure I will be back.

We ordered a fried rice and a sweet and sour shrimp. The shrimp was very good, but the rice was missing season. The fried chicken on top was perfect, but the beef inside was blank. Also the margarita that I ordered was not good, it was not made with real lemon, for 10.40$ drink, it was not tasty. The price of food and the service was very good.

Second time I’m ordering food here, first I thought maybe because it was on weekends and cooks are not the same but then I order in the weekend and still the same. Tasteless chicken fried rice. Fried chicken was good but fried rice not so, an embarrassment to West Indians restaurant

Dear tropical night, The next time your security choose to pull out a friend of mine from the patio because your fat stinking dj say so how about i let the city know that COVID protocols aren’t followed? I mind my own business however you choose to embarrass a friend of mine. Unacceptable. Did the stinking dj think my friend was going to eat his chicken 😂 some things aren’t worth it. Check your ppl. Great live djs every evening. Rooftop patio is really nice. The wings are awesome. Drink prices are very reasonable.

I wouldn't have resulted to a public review, if the manager would have called me back or the staff knew how to take a proper msg. I have called twice. Once the morning after and once on the 23rd. I ate there on Aug 15th and was disturb by the sanitary practices, especially during a global pandemic. Our server was fine but the other lady who actually brought our food from the kitchen to our table was careless. First she walked around the entire patio with our food. She should know the table number to avoid passing unnecessary people, many of whom were not masked. Next when the food arrived, the "order ticket" used in the kitchen was in our rice. Who knows how many chefs and servers touched that. To have it in our food was disturbing. Our original server noticed from a few feet away and advised her to remove it. I wanted to complain that night but my partner encouraged me to instead just not eat that portion of the rice. I was leaving town the next day and did not want to waste our precious time complaining. I just did not have the energy to get into it that night. Like I said I called the next morning and have heard nothing back. Wish the customer service was better. The music was pretty good and the server Chanelle was nice but other than that, I don't think I'll be going back.

We ordered take away food for the first time here. The staff was super friendly on the phone. On arriving to pickup our order, we realized they have roof top patio with live dj. We couldn't resist the atmosphere and decided to stay and order some drinks on the patio. The server was quick with our orders and again super friendly. The staff actually brought our takeaway food to the table for us. It was a fun relaxed vibe and I will definitely revisit. 5 stars!!

Great food and atmosphere. Pepper shrimp, spicy beef, and the special fried rice were all solid. And 5 beers for $25 including Stag. Doesn't get better.

The restaurant is awesome and broad, the meals was enchanting and the rates were very affordable. quick, effective service and very welcoming staff members. I recommend this place.

First time here on a Saturday afternoon with my friend. Ordered Pepper shrimp, Pepper beef and their special Tropical fried rice with chicken on top. The server though attentive at first had some gaps in service but nothing seriously to be concerned about. The food was fantastic, I was not expecting it to be this good,, my Trini friend said it tasted just like back home. We also got the 5 beers in a bucket for $25 which was a good deal, and we thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful music and the nice Island vibes you got from the rooftop patio. Not sure where all these negative reviews were coming from but can't wait to go back to this place in the near future.

Great atmosphere, great vibe, Caribbean music and finger licking good food. One of the best roof top patios in Toronto. Pepper shrimp and the Shanghai noodles are a must try
