An absolute vibe. Hands-down one of the coziest cafe concepts I've ever experienced. The space is warmingly welcoming with its pleasantly cluttered furniture, the plants add a relaxing touch to the ambiance, and the light exposure from Ossington street makes everything seem much more spacious than it is. Oh, and there's also a back patio. Very friendly staff too. A strong recommend if you're in the Ossington area.

A bustling cafe on Ossington, this is a great place to study if you arrive early in the day to beat the crowd. They also sell out of pastries by the afternoon sometimes. The decor is pretty unique, especially in the basement. It is a bit cramped down there though. Solid coffee and pastries! Prices standard for cafe.

Nice drinks, it gives cozy informal cafe vibes. It’s a nice place to relax at. I did find it quite dim lit.

In my opinion, the 135 make the best flat white in the area, and quite possibly the entire city. The Hatch beans they use are consistent, making it a reliable go-to spot. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff also make this must-visit for any coffee lover.

Overall: great experience. I’ve been here for the second time today, and each time it was a pleasure. The study spaces are limited, so you’d have to snatch one in time. But you could definitely come and enjoy this place with your friends as there’s a lovely back door patio and a cozy Asian-inspired interior space. However, if you are searching for solace, you could go down into the “dungeon”, located downstairs, with its peace and quite (and the downstairs mannequin definitely leaves an impression) ambience with a riverside feeling. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and easygoing! My friends and I have managed to try their matcha, cold brew, pour over, cappuccino and latte. Everything was a delight, with well-expressed flavours and undertones. The flavours are well-balanced. Each drink brought forward the smooth and creamy texture, turning the Hatch beans into a magic potion. The floral notes in the pour over coffee we tried were clear and refreshing! Haven’t tried many of their pastries or sandwiches yet, but the almond croissant was crispy and filling. Loved that baristas suggest creative additions to the well crafted drinks! Very inviting. Definitely a must-visit, for a quick cup of third world coffee, a ficka with your friends, or a lovely chat with the staff.

I got a iced flat white and my partner got a hot flat white, I tried his and loved it too. This place has maximum VibESsSSsssSss (think cafe, lofi, library, hip, chill) and really nice coffee. We found our favorite cafe in Toronto so thank u 135 Ossington, we'll be back!

Really cute coffee shop with extremely chill vibes. Ideal for working or even chilling. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. There’s even a backyard you can work in. We had their seasonal apple chai which a cinnamon kick to it which was good and had their cappuccino which was good and milky (if you are into that). Parking can be found on the streets or then on Green P lots around the neighborhood.

📍135 Ossington Ave @Toronto, ON 🖤好食 (quality):😋😋😋😋😋 🤍環境 (environment): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🤎服務 (service): 💗💗💗💗💗 This cafe has the best interior design from all the cafes I have been so far! 🥰They also have this open area in the front of the cafe where they usually open if its sunny so customers can sit there and enjoy some coffee and enjoy the street view! 👀Other than coffees and lattes, they also serve croissants 🥐and pastries! If you come to this cafe, you should definitely try their… ☕️Hojicha Latte ☕️ Recently, I have been craving Hojicha Latte aheheh and this was the best Hojicha Latte I have tried so far! It was so rich in Hojicha flavour! 😤I got it with no sugar so the Hojicha flavour was very strong! The latte art was also so so pretty, totally in love with it! 😎 🥐Raspberry croissant 🥐 I also got this croissant and it was so good! 😌The raspberry cream in the middle of the croissant was so flavourful and added a spark of freshness to the croissant! The pink sprinkles on top made the croissant more crunchy! It was so yummy and I am definitely coming back for it! 🖤 Their service was very good as they were very helpful and quick even when there were a lot of customers! 😲I saw that they also have chess for customers to play which I thought was pretty good! 😗 Thank you for the great hospitality and yummy treats!! ✨

Aesthetically pleasing interior with a cute backyard area. Drinks are great, although I prefer my cappuccinos a bit stronger, and the service was friendly. Bonus points for the chess board.

Hands down the best coffee I've had in Toronto. Pourover was fantastic and the vibe is cozy and eclectic. They were carrying bags of top notch coffees from several roasters from around the world (ex. Fuglen). The bag of Finca Juan Martin from The Angry Roaster was one of the best coffees I had in 2023.

Great atmosphere if you are looking for a laid back cozy living room vibe with japanese flair. Lots of readers all around and they play r&b. They have their own in house coffee brand and the matcha is amazing. Expect smooth, non bitter, and no clumps in the matcha. You don't even need sugar. If you're a matcha drinker this is a must. My only comment is expect a wait. This place has one barista and they take their time.

I loved the "Tokyo Fog" it was delicious and i would come here just to try it again. Not too much study space but there is a downstairs portion that is beautiful (thought a couple was snuggling at the corner). Overall, definitely a coffee spot to check out in Toronto

This cafe is super cool! We walked in and immediately loved the vibe. It’s cozy and japanese inspired. The workers seemed very friendly and chill. We asked for suggestions, and the worker recommended the ginger yuzu tea since it was a hot day. We both got it and it was really delicious and refreshing for the weather. We got it to-go, but went downstairs to sit for a bit, and let me tell you, it is absolutely insane. It felt like we got transported into another place. After walking down the stairs, the first room is covered with pebbles on the ground with a wooden step walkway, and the rest of the rooms felt like someone’s home. It was really cool, and we really enjoyed it. I wish I lived in there. I can see myself just chilling there for hours. Very cool and so much effort was put into creating the atmosphere, so I’m very impressed.

A café like none other—a must visit on Ossington! While the menu itself is pretty comparable to other spots in the area, they have great seasonal menus and brews. My personal favourite is the yuzu peach latte offered in the summer though I’ve heard their matcha is quite good as well. My favourite aspect of this café though, are the unique seating spaces. From a brief street view , it looks quite limited but they offer several seats both outside on their patio and in their basement. I love that each of these spaces feels different and have a personality or their own. Such a cool place to be, whether it’s to study or hang out.

Nice cafe to work/read. It’s more suitable to read than work at least for me. I’m posting about the ambiance mostly. See the pictures!!

The famous “ living room “ cafe on ossington. I had great drinks (hojicha and yuzu flavoured tea) as well as a good croissant here. There is a room below the main floor which is nice but also they have a great patio with ample space.

Cosy vibes and good drinks! We were visiting from San Francisco and was recommended to check this place out and I wish we had this place in our city. I ordered the hojicha latte, it was solid. This would be a nice place to bring a book and read or get some quiet work done

absolutely lovely spot in Ossington, I’ll be definitely coming back to try their pastries/food/beverages. lovely ambiance and decor and their drinks were of great quality, but on the pricey end but you definitely get a higher quality drink. Absolutely recommend you drop by if you’re in the area!

I don't drink coffee but if I did, I would only want to go here. During a downtown excursion with my gf and she wanted to grab some coffee, asking an employee from tilley down the street we were told to come to this establishment as it had a great vibe and coffee to drink. The moment we walked in we knew this was a place we would enjoy and after she got the hojicha latte (Macha) she told me we need to move into this neighborhood as she wants to drink here everyday (no exaggeration)! I found the establishment to be amazing, feeling so super cozy on a rainy spring day, having an original esthetic and great vibe for all. Definitely a nice place to go for a chat or even some quiet time away from the flat. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a new place to experience and a love for coffee/shops.

Easily one of my favourite cafes in Toronto, I can understand why it is so popular! The interior is beautifully dedicated to create a cozy and inviting ambiance. The cafe has a relaxed and casual feel, making it the perfect place to catch up with a friend or unwind after a long morning.

Great coffee/staff/location. Really knowledgeable. Side street parking and Ossington. Some food options that change up. Snacks and cookies. Great machinery and manual options. Serious and fun operators, at the same time! Good music and good people.

Its a cafe you walk in and instantly fall in love with. Absolutely loved it here. Cozy atmosphere and not surprised to see reader on every corner enjoying their book and coffee. Cafe has a basement seating area which I really love it has a different vibe with everything they have put together I think the pictures will speak for themselves. I got their Matcha and a cappuccino both were perfect to my taste however for my Cappuccino and the Americano my friend got, it was almost room temperature, idk i like my coffee hot! and next time should try a Tokyo fog for sure. You can grab a croissant which I skipped. Its a must try and keep on trying place ❤️

very nice place!!! i tried their seasonal apple chai and liked it a lot. there are plenty of seats on the main floor but i loved the decor of the basement, it's quiet and a great place to chill or get something done. i stopped by alone while running an errand in the area, but id really like to come back with friends, and to try the dupont location as well!!

Had a cappuccino with was Good. To my taste, the ratio between coffee and milk was too milky, but it's my taste. Still, Better than many others I've had before, including Pilot nearby. Note: I have to apologize to the owner as I should not have mentioned about price as I understand the costs of having employees properly trained and who can make a good coffee. And I never look at price on the first visit. In Summary, I would recommend this place.

The best cafe on the ossington strip. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Cute snug spot with great coffee. They use hatch beans. Pour overs are great as are their oat milk cappuccinos! Definitely check it out!

Friendly owner, friendly staff. I absolutely love the red bean latte and Tokyo fog, I can drink these three times a day!! This hidden gem also serves fresh onigiri and it comes in three flavours: octopus, mushroom and salmon. I’ve tried all three and recommend all flavours. Will definitely be back again because I can’t wait to try the coffee and other drinks here!

I tried their Iced Matcha Latte since, I am looking for the best Matcha Latte around Toronto. I would say— this is by far the closest best Matcha I had. I can taste the rich matcha flavor but a little bit pricy for a small cup for $7 with tax. I still recommend this if you’re looking for a Matcha to try. 🍵

Interesting cafe with a unique atmosphere. I had the ginger lemony tea and I liked it a lot. They have different seating options which is great. Also thanks to this cafe we discovered this neighborhood and it seems really cool!

Best pour over I’ve had in a long time. Great atmosphere, friendly and very capable baristas. Sandwiched between Sam James and Pilot, also good coffee shops, but will be stopping by here more often. Stop by, you will not regret it : )

Hands down the best coffee I’ve found in downtown. Their oat milk cappuccinos are exceptional and consistently good. I had a chocolate chip cookie on my last visit and it was delicious, the perfect amount of sweetness with a little bit of salt. They also have friendly prompt service.

Extremely cosy cafe with great coffee & some sweets. Good place to sit & catch up with friends. Given the limited seating & the small space, it's not the best place to study or work for a couple of hours.

  • 2/5 Rekha 1 year ago on Google
The iced mocha tasted good, unfortunately all the chocolate was settled in the bottom and the texture very unpleasant. The chocolate kept getting stuck in the straw so it wasn't the easiest to drink.

  • 4/5 Huang G. 1 year ago on Google
The ham and cheese croissant was great. Coffee tastes a bit different to the usual iced latte, but not in a bad way - it grows on you.
