The exam was very simple and straightforward and did reviews of what to expect in the exam for every unit she taught which to me made learning more easier and understanding thanks Laura I highly highly recommend 😊

Laura was super knowledgeable, clear, and engaging during the presentation. The connection to the land, to water, and to indigenous ways of knowing made this unlike any formal training I have had in the past, but led it to be more grounded and seem more relevant to my learning. I would recommend without hesitation!

I really enjoyed today’s workshop it was quite interesting. I learned a lot of things that I can apply to my home when preparing and storing foods and in my workplace. The material was easy to understand and the presenters were great! Would definitely recommend taking this workshop.

The day of instruction was meaningful, engaging and adapted beautifully for the needs of our learners. We had 14 students learn and earn their Food Handler's certification in one day. It was a great success! I highly recommend them for your personal, professional or classroom needs.

Instructor Laura was very knowledgable and was able to explain the material in a way that everyone was able to understand it. She wanted everyone to succeed. I especially loved the way she opened up the course and told the story and history of the indigenous peoples and the meaning of the sacred medicine wheel and its meaning and how it’s correlated into what we were going to learn today. The coordinators were super nice and very respectful and helpful to those in need of any help whatsoever. I highly recommend the training included with the test because she is very thorough. The test is very straightforward and will be a breeze if you do the training along with the test.

I just took the online Saturday class with training and the exam, and it was straightforward and easy. Laura is very knowledgeable and approachable. Also, taking the exam on zoom was successful and very simple. They mark you while you take the exam, which makes things move quickly in the best way. I 100% recommend it to anyone looking to renew or get their food handler’s certificate.

It upset the teacher and speaking for myself, I was a bit taken out of the ZONE I had been building learning new things! So, if your taking an online course, there are a few factors to consider. The instructor was really knowledgeable, professional but still very friendly. I really appreciated her introduction about her metis root and culture. The pace of the course was great. I would recommend it. I also had to deal with their customer service before the actual class and the person was really helpful, they fixed the issue super fast.

it was an online zoom session and the instructor was so kind!! she was really helpful to the others who's first language wasn't english, and was patient with them and explained words so they could understand better :) the learning session was very educational and i learnt a lot from it

I would HIGHLY recommend Canadian Food Safety Training as the place to get your food handler certification. I had a wonderful experience. The delivery of the course was excellent and Laura Lee is clearly very knowledgable with a wealth of experience in the food industry. She was very considerate of non-native English language speakers and they also worked hard to support people with any technology issues who are taking the course online. They offer instruction and testing in a variety of languages at their location in Toronto as well. I was very impressed with the teaching techniques of Laura Lee. As well, I felt honoured and privileged to hear her begin the course with a land acknowledgment, and some elements of traditional indigenous teaching that relate to our relationship with the land and food. This is the way in person and online instruction for adults should be done. Very impressive.

Loved the training! The live session was informative and engaging, with lots of videos showing the proper procedures for certain things as well as actual case studies being presented throughout. It really helps to pre-read or at least skim through the manual beforehand (at least for me), as it'll help you get more out of the live training. Our trainer also prepared us well for the exam by incorporating lots of quiz questions for us all to answer on our own or out loud at the end of each unit presented. Great experience overall! Would highly recommend CFST for anyone looking to become a certified Food Handler in Canada!

I actually enjoyed the course today. The facilitator was fantastic. She showed a lot of compassion for her students. She was clear, and concise when teaching the various modules. She was also opened to questions from the class . I would recommend anyone to her program!
