😠 The ER is so dirty. The staff is very short and dismissive after having you wait for hours. Beware they also talk about previous patients where current patients can hear which is very unprofessional, not to mention over half of the staff stand around talking while the ER is so "busy". Just a disgust... People often mention hospital, care, staff, nurse, nurses, time, doctor, hours, waiting, experience,

The ER is so dirty. The staff is very short and dismissive after having you wait for hours. Beware they also talk about previous patients where current patients can hear which is very unprofessional, not to mention over half of the staff stand around talking while the ER is so "busy". Just a disgusting hospital in every way, go somewhere else if you can. (Pics below are of how the beds were when I came in the ER and ultrasound rooms before even touching them.) Also just a tip for the hospital, if you're not going to clean the bathroom at least put the paper showing that you haven't where patients can't see. I took a picture of the paper Oct. 10.

This hospital is the absolute worst of many that I’ve come across over the past years. Ontario’s healthcare system is definitely going downhill, but this hospital just treats patients like absolute trash. Truly such a disgraceful place. Save yourself the trip and just drive down to a more decent hospital in the area.

Horrible experience from ER yesterday. The nurse at the ER reception was really rude and mean. Never expected that a nurse can be this unprofessional. Waiting there for hours and deal with the frustration of the nurse was really unacceptable. If she is frustrated with her job she should leave the job and look for something else or she should do something to handle her frustration. She should not be showing her frustration with the patients who are waiting pariently for hours to see the doctors. She poked my nerve only because i asked her permission to go and nurse my baby while I was waiting at the reception. They can express the fact not their frustration. The experience traumatized me. I was surprised that she was a nurse.

Today on October 14th, around 4:3pm I was informed by our family doctor that my 4 years old daughter has Iron deficiency and she needs medication and drips immediately as this can result into heart attack if not taken care., She recommended not to go to emergency , instead go to lakeridge health Oshawa “A” wing . We went there with my family and there was a lady doctor there. I told her about my daughter and she said take her to emergency. We are not not going to help her. I requested her to talk to my family doctor but she not only refused but also asked us to get out of there very rudely. I tried explaining her my daughter’ situation as I was so worried for her health. She literally said I don’t care. I was shocked how could a doctor can say that about 4 years old child. She started shouting and yelling at us. I literally could not believe it I felt so threatened and extremely concern for my childe health and safety. For proof I tried recording her rude behaviour she tried to come at me and closed the door at me. I have few seconds video of that . We were already devastated because of my daughter’s health. On top of that her behaviour traumatized us. She can be seen in video. I do not know the right forum to report her. If someone can assist us I will really appreciate.

This hospital holds a terrible reputation for a reason and it’s absolutely deserved. The doctor I had here was competent and friendly enough, but I mean it when I say this hospital needs to do a full scale investigation of their nurse roster and let go of a good chunk of them. The ER nurses are some of the rudest, uncaring, and harmful professionals I’ve ever come across. They do not deserve to be working there and should not be allowed to care for sick patients. For the sake of you or your loved one’s health both physically and mentally - please go anywhere else.

My mother is currently a patient at lakeridge Health, recovering from surgery. She is constantly having to asked to be changed, her physio has been delaid multiple times, and nobody can seem to be bothered to call me with any updates. When I call, they tell me she's fine, but when I go into see her she's clearly not fine. When you walk onto the surgical recovery floor it smells like death. This hospital is the worst place anyone could possibly go to. I'm honestly afraid that I will lose my mother because of this place, and they are refusing a transfer to a better hospital. If you care about your loved ones don't allow them to go to Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Not sure why this hospital gets a bad reputation. I have come to this hospital many times, my kids were born here. I understand the system is broken in terms of wait time, that being said, the nurses, doctors and staff that work here are fabulous people. I have never had any bad experience coming here! I would like to thank the staff, keep up the great work, the positive vibe!

I completely understand why this hospital has such a low review. I am my primary care giver for my father who has Parkinson's. Recently he had a fall and factures his knee.. first trip to the fracture clinic they wouldn't let me go in with him due to COVID despite the fact that he has a mobility issue. I stated that he needed assistance and they advised me they would escort him but they failed to provide him with an escort back out to the foyer where I was waiting for him. He lost his balance and fell ..walker, immobilizer brace and all. Luckily not injuring himself further. They proceeded to shift the blame to me even though I stated prior to entry that he needed assistance. Second trip in was a follow up schedules fracture clinic appointment. We get there only to find the fracture clinic has been closed on Monday for the last 3 weeks and the appointment card they had provided us with that had the date and time on it was written incorrectly. Our return appointment was in the system for 4 weeks prior. No phone calls to advise us of the missed appointment, nothing. Totally unacceptable. Only staff there that care are the volunteer staff that choose to be there. Who were incredibly helpful and even stood out in the cold with my father while I fetched the car and made sure we didn't have to pay for parking due to the hospital's screw up. I have had nothing but bad experience with this hospital in the last several years. They even forgot were they put me when I had to go in to the ER postpartum for 12 hours..which is a whole other story. If you have an option to go somewhere else... I highly recommend you do so

Was with Mom there true the Emergency car , because her blood sugar was more then 30mmol , mom was feeling very dizzy to much headache and through out. They keep her there 10 hours just to do some blood work and tell us “the blood sugar is high you need to see diabetic specialist “ but we already know blood sugar is so high , we left the hospital with my mom feeling worse and worse and we go to the Humber river hospital who help us a lot by doing a lot testing for her. The Oshawa Lakeridge Health Hospital is the worst hospital I ever seen!! The doctor doesn’t do his job right and is very aggressive verbal!!

The wait time in this hospital is very long, many hours will pass before a doctor see you. In this country Canada people are sold lies that we have the best health care system. No we have one of the worst health care systems in the world.

Amazing 🤩. My son had a gastroscopy this morning. The nurses, volunteers, reception, anesthesiologist and Dr. Green were awesome. Friendly and informative and very accommodating. Thank you for taking care of my son and making us feel special doing it. Thank you

On January 9th 2024 my sister was killed by her life support being taken away without my consent and without letting me know what they were doing. The people on this shift were under Dr. Zameer and colleagues. He also told me he will not be resuscitating my sister and made me feel I had no choice or rights. I did not give my consent even though I told the doctor I do not want to lose her yet and wanted to try. Then there was a student learning in there at this tragic and serious time in my life with one of the persons I loved most without asking me if it was ok. The nurses told me they just wanted to fix a few things next thing I know they told us they took off life support and I felt unable to ask them what were they doing. I believe my sister could be living today even though I know it would take time for her to heal. There was one nice nurse that brought me a little bag of ice to help keep my sister’s head cool. The sosial worker was nice as well as the coroner. Overall I felt bullied in this environment and no one else should have to experience this. No one really cares which is a shame and disgrace. RIP my dear beloved.

Not a very pleasant experience. The wait time was horrendous. Two people were vomiting, one by triage and the other in the waiting room. They were handed bags to puke in but were not moved to an isolation area. Nor did anyone come and sanitize the area where they were ill afterward. The area was absolutely filthy. You could draw your name in the vents on the wall and the ceiling vents or grills had clearly not been cleaned in ages. It was very crowded and some of the staff (not all) were very short with some of the patients. This hospital has not had a good reputation in some time. The emergency room needs more staff and to be cleaned up so that you don’t come out sicker than when you went in.

Worst hospital in Ontario. Took my son to emergency 6 pm. He had an accident while he was riding his scooter. He hurts his legs and his mouth. He was bleeding when I go to this hospital. No result 12.50 am I asked the nurse how long it’s going to take? After 6 hours wait time she told me another 6 To 8 hours wait time. What a joke. After that they made an announcement that they only have one doctor. So if you guys wanna leave leave and go to the family doctor. What’s the point we have the hospital then ? All these nurses and doctors acting like they are work for free. Just want to remind them that they are the one getting 100 to 250k salary and still won’t satisfy.

This team was amazing! My 18 month old was having trouble breathing. We arrived at the ER and registered (the system at the door was a bit glitchy). We waited in triage for just a short while. The triage nurse was wonderful! She took such good care of my baby and took us right back to acute care after her initial assessment. We had two fabulous nurses in the acute care, a visit from the respiratory therapist and a lovely doctor. We arrived at about 10:30 and were discharged by 2am. I know not everyone gets through so fast but they took our situation very seriously. They were efficient, kind and reassuring. We had an incredible experience because of this great and caring team. They took such great care of my baby! Thank you so much!

The first time was not a bad experience. My son was born there, and everything went well thanks to God and the staff, although I do not deny that the lack of doctors was reflected. The second time, 1 year later, my wife, the baby and I had bad experience, we took the child to check up since he had vomited 8 times in a day but we waited 4 hours waiting in the hispital but we had to leave because the baby was very uncomfortable and needed a bath, thank God after those hours he started to feel better and is now recovered, time loss and almost 20 dollars parking money loss. ( Can't park anywhere, so you feel forced to pay expensive parking). Cheers

Last year my son experienced a mental breakdown. In a 6 week period he went to emergency 7 times, sometimes by ambulance. 4 of those times were to Lakeridge Oshawa. His vitals were taken and he was dismissed. On one occasion the nurse was having a difficult time attaching the ecg monitoring devices to his body because he was shaking so much. She asked another nurse for help and was told “I’m busy with real patients” right in front of my son. The only reason he was finally admitted was because the ambulance that brought him in was accompanied by the police who had him admitted under a specific form. I called the patient care line several times with my concerns and was met with excuses. My son was also supposed to be referred to outpatient care after he was released. That never happened. To others; be your loved one’s advocate and be persistent. Also, there is a health ombudsman for Ontario you can contact.

The staff before my surgery were all really helpful, kind and caring! The nurses in OR were so kind! My after surgery care on F6 was amazing. All the nurses were helpful and friendly. But a special shout out to my 3 daily and night time nurses: Haley, Sunshine and Sam. Thank you to all of you for going over and above. Their positivity and ability to care for others is definitely a gift.

My 88 year old dad was sick and a delirium and early on stage dementia. After four days, the hospital sent him home in a delirium forced us out the door saying my dad was not sick. My husband and I had to carry him into the truck to take him home which when he got home he didn’t even recognize his home. by morning, my dad had pulled his catheter out and the apartment was covered in blood. My sickly mother had to call 911 and return him back to Lakeridge health. In total my dad spent 10 long days on a stretcher. Some of the nurses and ER six were really really nice , some of the nurses especially an ER for area were awful except the PSW. There was just wonderful. The nurses are quite rude and quite arrogant. A lot of them they are overworked, but there is need for compassion. When my dad was kicked out of the hospital, I was literally forced out a nurse grabbed him politely put him in his clothes, put him back in his wheelchair and said you and your dad do not belong here anymore even though my mother was sitting in the ER in crisis . The nurse son pointed with her fingers around the whole ER and said look at all these sick people your dad is not sick you do not belong here so you and your dad get out of here now. As a previously stayed up, my dad was returned. It is now day 11 and he finally has a bed , which is awful for a 88-year-old man to have to lay on a stretcher for 10 days total and a delirium. I don’t blame the hospital for all these issues, but I do blame Mr. Ford for understaffing and funding our hospitals. Oshawa has grown, but hospitals have not kept up. We need more hospitals. We need more nurses we need more doctors. The hospital is not a clean place even though they have clean stuff going around constantly the floors place just looks filthy. I’m hoping now that he has moved that he will get better care and I will do another review on this new area. Would I recommend this hospital? Heck no if you can go to another hospital this is the worst case I’ve ever had I’ve been in the hospital in my entire life.

I visited the ER with my son late in the evening on Friday and we were treated very nicely. The whole process in the ER was quick and the staff (receptionist, triage nurse, doctors) were incredibly empathetic, kind and professional. Furthermore, we were hospitalized in the pediatric clinic and we experienced a professional treatment. Everyone from nurses to doctors were compassionate and understanding. Especially thanks to the nurse Jennifer and Dr. Zheng. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is the fact that we were discharged on the day with the snow storm and they were rushing us a little bit and stopped providing medicine to my son while we were waiting hours to find a way to get back home.

Covid rules really need to be rethought. They wouldn't even let me into the hospital to walk my husband to be checked in for surgery. For SURGERY. Meanwhile they are allowing visitors? But I can't just make sure everything is in place for them to call me? Had an anxiety attack in the parking lot because of it.

The worst hospital I have ever gone to. One nurse specifically has absolutely no compassion with her job. Being in the medical field, I am disappointed with the staff specifically the one I encountered on Saturday night. You would think a nurse who's fully educated would understand when someone is having a panic attack, but NO she decided to make my anxiety worse by arguing with me. If I could I would report her for being unprofessional but my anxiety was off the roof to even get her name. I was with my 2 year old at the time and she didn't even care that she was crying because of the situation. She's Asian with long black hair. She had the odacity to role her eyes when I asked her how she has the nerve to make my anxiety worse after I told her I had one. Thank God her colleague made her leave. Everyone in the waiting room was disturbed with how unprofessional and IMMATURE she was. Once I was called to go see a doctor I encountered her and seeing her with her colleagues she was loud and obnoxious and made me feel so uncomfortable being there. I'm sure she told them the encounter she had with me in the waiting room. I would love to have her name but it's not worth going back to that hospital

While many areas of the hospital need to work on their bedside manner, Mariam in the fracture clinic knows what she is doing and genuinely cares about her patients and hears our their concerns. When I took my step dad in for his broken leg with concerns about how another nurse bandaged it during our last visit, she addressed the issue and made sure the previous nurse knew what he did wrong and what to do in the future. I know our care practitioners are worked very hard and often understaffed, but good care is key to a good recovery. Thank you, Mariam. I wouldn't give the hospital itself five stars, but Mariam deserves all five and more. I wish more nurses and doctors had her attention to detail and passion.

This hospital needs to fire everyone and hire "Real Professionals" I don't know if anyone reading this ever been to Toronto hospitals. They have nice soft chairs, kind triage nurses, all the t.v.s work, you can eat anywhere anytime and you don't have to wait for 4-5 hours. And because of this I'm moving out Oshawa. It has turned into the slums of Brooklyn New York.

Had a fall on Canada Day 2022, after 2 hours couldn’t bend my arm. Arrived at Emergency around 1:15pm. There were 8 people ahead of me and a new arrival about every 20 minutes. I was processed, saw the Dr., x-rays and cast put on in 2 1/2 hours, and every staff member I had contact with was welcoming, friendly and pleasant, even though they were extremely busy. I couldn’t be more impressed with my visit. Thank you to everyone I saw that day!

I was a patient at Lakeridge Hospital Oshawa from August 16-19, 2021 when I had surgery performed by Dr. Chin. Overall, my experience with the entire staff throughout the process of preop appointment, surgical admission, actual surgery and recovery from surgery on the 7th floor was extremely positive. I was treated with the utmost in professional care and attention from every staff member who came in contact with me and I am grateful for their compassion and expertise. I really want the community to know about my positive experience as the staff needs to be commended.

Labour and delivery turned away a surrogate/mother of four at 40+ week pregnant because she didn’t look pregnant enough. Even though she was able to show ultrasound video from September 2021 showing that she was over 21 weeks they didn’t believe how far along she was and sent her back down to emerge to be assessed while she was in labour. She left immediately and was never helped. Now she sits at home day two of labour trying to deliver her own baby after only having c-sections. This place is not for regular people... Seems like they’re only an ad to people with addiction looking to overdose. This was the same experience at Ajax-Pickering hospital as well.

I went for a mammogram - not usually pleasant. Every worker there was amazing - friendly and very efficient. I was in and out before my appointment time. The technician gave great advice on how to make it better for my overly sensitive skin. It was so quick that the parking was even free! Well done.

I had a wonderful experience at this hospital in the labor and delivery area. I was having concerns and the nurses there were very friendly and thorough to answer all my concerns. Specifically Nurse Rhonda (sp) and the OB on site at the time Dr Jana were extremely helpful in answering all of mine and my husband's concerns. They assured me I could call them at any time and even the nurses talking to other patients were very kind gentle and thorough as well. Looking forward to having my baby here with this team.

This review is for the New High Tech digital pharmacy in the hospital. Absolutely amazing! So fast super friendly and great prices. It's all done by robot there no one physically touching ur pills. They have free pill pack options that are better then blister packs. They also have a 4 big digital screens where you can find any over the counter medication you want & it comes down a vac shoot. So neat, definitely recommend this pharmacy 👍🏻

First time at this hospital. Don't get me wrong staff were kind but be prepared to wait 6+ hrs just to talk to a Dr. My husband sat in agony with a hernia for this long and everytime we asked for help the nurses told us we were next.....6hrs later and multiple times being told this still nothing. The doctor passed us on multiple occasions, visiting different patients but any time we tried to get his attention we were ignored. We watched as everyone who arrived after us were called in, treated and sent home.

I had the best ultrasound technician today, her approach made me comfortable and her ability to calm me enough to feel joy instead of worry during my ultrasound was unmatched. I’m a very hard mama to calm down and worry is my middle name. She provided me with so much useful information, well staying at a professional level, yet being real and having an honest conversation. Also some amazing ultrasound skills. So Donna, where ever you are know that what you do made my day a little more special.

THE worst hospital nursing staff our family has ever dealt with. No bedside manner, no empathy from any of the ER Staff. They lied about the care/assistance they were giving my wife. They also attempted to administer medication that my wife is highly allergic to. Even having immediate access to the list her allergies Infront of them. Good thing my wife is aware of what she can and cannot have. But what if she didn't?

Don't bother coming in during the early morning hours. The ER is still pretty busy and the wait time is estimated 7 hours. My family had arrived around 1 AM and we were stuck there for almost the whole night. Not saying the overnight staff was enjoying this, but their services need to have better standards. If patients have to wait 7 hours, it can be draining and they might as well leave. Unfortunately, this was the case with several patients being called by their names from the list to no avail.

My sons father was a patient in Oshawa Hospital. At 8:30 pm this evening he received a phone call to come to the hospital and speak to a nurse on his Dads floor. He texted me and told me that he was on his way there alone. He said something didn't feel right. I asked him to keep me on speaker on the phone. My son drove there alone. Stood in front of a nurse and was told his father died. I listened 100 kms away to my son go to pieces and have to drive himself back home alone. What kind of people would do that? My father died May 02 and we received a call at my home to make sure someone would be with my mother. What a rotten thing to do to a person. They should be ashamed of themselves.

After I was hit by a car as a pedestrian, l was unfortunately taken to Lakeridge; being the nearest hospital. I lost consciousness during this accident, hit my head and many parts of my body were injured. They did absolutely NO imaging, NO scans, NOTHING. Prescribed me pain killers and sent me home. I was asking them to do imaging and they said it wasn’t necessary. I came to emergency the next day with severe pain, requesting they do some sort of imaging just to make sure I’m ok. NOPE. Emergency doctor said I should just take the pain killer prescribed earlier and go home. I have never been more DISGUSTED by the negligence of treatment in my life.

Day staff were lovely. Attentive, upbeat, and caring. But as soon as shift change happened I was treated like I was a burden just because I wanted to know rough ETAs. They tell me they only have one doctor, but I saw the waiting room near zone 5 clear 3 times with the doctor talking to patients and yet after 3 hours of waiting in that area all they could tell me was 'soon'. I decided after 10.5 hours in total waiting, and the last bus back out to my area about to arrive just have them take my darn IV out so I could go home. I'd rather suffer at home than seek medical care from here ever again.

Do not go to this hospital if you care about your physical well-being. My girlfriend was given an urgent doctors note to get an ultrasound for potential acute appendicitis. After waiting 3 hours to see a doctor, she's told all the people who give ultrasounds went home for the night. What kind of hospital doesn't have people capable of doing ultrasounds overnight? So you're telling me if someone requires an ultrasound that could potentially identify life threatening issues they would have to wait until 7 AM before its addressed? Whats next, XRAYs are only operated Mon to Friday 9-5? Are you people crazy? Honestly, I've worked as a porter for 3 different hospitals and I've never heard of this. Like I said, I would advise you to go somewhere else, these people will literally kill you.

It was absolute hell. I called an ambulance for myself, as I was having crushing pains in my chest, and my arm was numb. sitting in a wheelchair for quite a while, no one paid acknowledged the pain I was in... left for quite a while, as I was crying in pain.... dumped from place to place, no explanations of where I was going... nothing at all. At the end of it, I stood in the rain, outside waiting for the taxi to take me home.

We have been here since 8:30am and it's now 4:28pm. My father is in a lot of pain and doesn't feel good. We haven't seen a doctor yet. He has had tests done but until I go ask no one is telling us it's what we're waiting for! Also, they won't let him eat and he's diabetic! The seats are hard and plastic not fun at all. I thought the hospital was supposed to get better after the audit, I think it's gotten worse.

I have had nothing but great experiences here. 1 month ago I went in for an MRI and when I asked for directions One of the staff said that they would show me where it was. The lady that did my MRI was very nice and I had to have an xray before hand it all went smooth and seamlessly. Today Oct. 6th I was in for an endoscope. Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. From Tracy who registered me at reception very pleasant and caring. Elisha and Holly who prepped me for my procedure again very caring and professional. I witnessed Emily an RN dealing with a young lady who had never been in a hospital before. Emily was very informative and assuring that made the young lady very comfortable. Shannon and Emily were my nurses in the procedure room and again both were terrific. Dr. Green did my procedure and made me feel right at ease letting me know what was going on. The people in recovery and the fellow who wheeled me outside were very nice. I don't think that anything could have been improved on.

Considering staff shortages, the delays are understandable. I was pleasantly surprised by the upbeat attitude of everyone from paramedics to nurses to doctors in what must be a very frustrating environment. I received excellent and caring attention and saw the staff do the best they could in locating rooms and services. Overall very pleased with the care given especially Zone 4 caregivers.

I took my daughter here due to major stomach pain and vomiting. We waited for so long, people came in after us seen and left as my daughter sat an waited. Forget about asking when she will be seen. All I heard was " people are coming in with emergency and the doctors are being pulled away". But a woman and her kid came in 2 hrs after us with a cold and was seen within an hour and left us still waiting.

Had an amazing experience delivering my first born, the nurses were excellent especially with the pandemic. Appreciate all the labour and delivery and post partum nurses.

Every experience I have had at this hospital has been great. The nurses are caring and hard working. Specifically Sheila at the breast clinic. I was a mess during my biopsies and she was truly an angel.

Lakeridge Oshawa, I’ve had countless experiences and not good ones dealing with the staff within the facility. The last time I was there May 3 2023 I came in because I had a back injury I couldn’t even stand up straight and could barely even sit! I am seen by a doctor and explain my symptoms in depth and I felt like I damaged a nerve not a muscle because I had sharp stabbing pains from my lower back to my ankles and the doctor sent me for a X-ray but when he showed me he said there’s nothing wrong at all and I pleaded with him to do a MRI. Which he denied and said it’s a waste of time you’re fine. I was sent home with my back pain and basically bed ridden for 2 weeks. I decided to go a Toronto Eastern since I have no trust in the Lakeridge company and they were able to give be a MRI and found out my sciatic nerve had been damaged. Completely ridiculous get denied help, told it’s nothing and I’m still dealing with some of this pain but less intense thanks to Toronto Eastern. I feel like their needs to be more training then to just brush off issues. I get it they deal with a lot but don’t make others suffer.

Before you go to this hospital please read the low rating and assume this all will definetly happen to you. If you think you are in need of EMERGENCY then this is not the right hospital. This is just the big size walking clinic with all the testing equipment under one roof. I would like to thank doctors nurse who helped me. My rating is only 3 stars because of that almost 10 hours waiting time to see the doctor. I had severe pain in my abdomen which turnout to be apendicitis. It was so painful. I could see an old guy, tears coming out his eyes becuase of his pain so was mine. He was hoding the vomit bag and he was waiting there for 5 hours after that i didnt see him, hopefully he was taken inside. I want to request the management to increase the number of doctors in the emergency. Huge respect to all the healthworkers.

I took my 11 years son to hospital with severe stomach pain. The nurse who saw him for the initial assessment was extremely rude and unprofessional. I can understand patients with critical conditions should be taken care of first but still 6 hours waiting time is absolutely unacceptable.

A few months late on this review but woowwww… I had a c section in January and I cannot say enough good things about the nursing staff and doctors that took care of me and lil baby. The anesthesiologist was so funny, my surgeon and OB was probably the best doctor I’ve had. Every. Single. Nurse. Took the time to help me even though they were very busy. They helped latch my baby and get formula when needed. I could go on forever about my experience… only point off is hospital food didn’t pay attention to my dietary restrictions. By far so grateful for my nursing staff, doctors, and everyone else who truly made my experience here special and memorable. Shout out to the nurse who sat with me while I cried at 4am and talked me up. Shout out to the nurse who helped me use the bathroom and chill with me waiting to pee without catheter.. love you guys

Today's visit was amazing to Emergency. The staff were so kind and caring. Started with the Nurse in Triage. Did not get her name but she was so nice. Then the waiting room nurse, who was so very busy, remained pleasant and kind through it all. To nurse Victoria in Emergency and Dr. Jenkins, thank you so much for listening and acting on Donna's concerns and treating her with respect. This has been a long road. Thank you all again.

Haven’t been back to hospital in over a year or so. WOW how things have changed. So impressed with the triage and time for care. Kudos to what ever has been done. Bad allergic reaction and from time to walk in and best treatment from a doctor out in an hour. Complete staff was so nice also. Great job Oshawa. AND big thanks. Jeffery B.

A week ago I went to Lakeridge Oshawa Emerg. It was extremely busy with many folks experiencing long wait times, but don't forget they triage and the most urgent are seen first. The treatment I received from start to finish was caring and In a professional manner. I spent 2 1/2 days and 2 nights in Area 7 of emergency. I can't say enough about the two teams who cared for me. Hats off to nurse Marcia and her team and nurse Leah and her team. I saw all patients, regardless of their situation, being treated with the utmost Care and compassion. It's a stress filled environment but these nurses coped wonderfully. Understand if they slow down for a few minutes to catch their breath. Our nurses are not paid a fraction of their worth. Appreciate them and the work they do.

I have managed to tear my Achilles tendon and went through excruciating pain. While in Emergency, the nurses were efficient, the young doctor got me through x-Ray and ultrasound stages without too much waiting..diagnosis was fast, treatment faster(got the air cast/boot)and two days later an appointment to the hospital own fracture clinic. I am pleasantly surprised at the efficiency and professional way everyone acted to make my waiting in pain as short as possible.Did I mention that it was a busy Sunday?I am grateful for having an amazing team staffing the emergency 24/7.Way to go Lakeridge Health Oshawa!

I was rushed to the ER at Lakeridge Oshawa following a serious car accident. I was not in a good state at the time, but they were very thorough in their assessment of me, conducted all necessary tests, and scheduled very comprehensive follow up meetings with various specialists. In the end, it was an 8+ month recovery period, but in hind sight, I am very grateful for the timely and competent initial actions taken at Lakeridge Oshawa in my regard.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The fact that your booking system has been inoperable for over 2 weeks during a time when there is a backlog of cancer screening and all other procedures due to the pandemic, truly reflects the tone deaf nature of this organization. Be very alert and careful when being treated here - there are some really great nurses and staff, but when you encounter the other kind, you could lose your life. Wish I was kidding.

Truly an awful experience in every way imaginable, my daughters birth was a nightmare from start to finish. Completely incompetent nurses couldn’t fix a simple computer problem resulting in an alarm absolutely blaring for 30 minutes. DO NOT HAVE A BABY HERE. THEY ARE SO INCOMPETENT ITS LAUGHABLE

Literally in the er right now, been waiting for 5 hours and have not spoken to a single doctor or been updated by any nurse. This is a horrible horrible hospital, the staff may seem nice but it could be managed better by high schoolers. This is what our tax dollers go and it's disgusting, the pandemic is not an excuse for have people waiting in pain and suffering for hours. This hospital is a joke and represents the worst parts of our province.

If there was an option to put a 0 I would. This hospital has extremely rude staff who shows zero compassion for patients. The staff, doctors and admin need a lesson on kindness.

I gave birth to my son on November 20th and I was so pleased with my experience. My first attending nurse was comforting throughout my wait for an epidural and was very attentive to my needs for comfort. The OB on call was so calm, his voice was incredibly soothing and he made me feel like I was in good hands. We avoided complications and a very big shoutout to Ashley, who delivered my son. She was so patient and encouraging and I felt safe and determined. I had a great delivery and these 3 truly made it what it was. Thank you to them, from my and my son Max

I had a great experience back in 2014 when I had my daughter (I will give 5 stars for then). The nurses and doctor were very friendly and understanding. However, due to these recent extremely low reviews and the unfortunate experiences that many people have had, I really do not think I will return to this hospital as far as I can help it.

I gave been bringing my brother to this hospital for a week now and am amazed at the kindness given to us, along with very professional reception services and care. The parking services for drop off and pick up are well organized. ( 1st half hour free!!...I have not seen this any where else!) Kudos to your staff...genuine care and helpful attitudes!...Thank you!...

Thank you for the incredible care we received last Thursday for my son's broken finger. We walked in at 8:26 AM and left by 9:13 having seen a Dr, Xray and cast put on. Thank you to everyone for being so friendly and caring. Made a nervous momma feel much better knowing my son was in good hands. We've always received the best care here!

I had the WORST experience. My 6 year old son needed his third dose of the rabies vaccine after getting bit on vacation. The triage nurse told me I needed to contact public health which I did that morning and left a message but they didn't get back to me. She said that's fine she'll still take him. We waited in emergency for 8 HOURS only for the doctor to tell us they don't have the vaccine and I need to come back tomorrow. It was 2 am at this point. RIDICULOUS. He said they would call public health and get the vaccine by morning. Then I called public health myself the next morning who told me yes they had a call from the hospital but they didn't give any information on the patient's name etc. I had to organize it myself with public health who delivered the vaccine in a short period of time to my family doctor who then administered the vaccine. This place was a JOKE. Lots of people complaining, people crying, one guy was screaming in pain and even after I left at 2 am the guy was still there in the waiting room. On top of that the nurses were just being rude to everyone. I would never come back to this place again.
