Unfortunately several things went wrong. Thankful for a comp meal. Elk was so tiny and so overcooked. Sent it back and got medium rare bigger portion but photo shows it was overcooked again. Server and hostess knew we had concert tickets and still didn't rush our 3 courses. We were late for the show. We also got the worst table at the kitchen exit (beside 2 baby strollers) and got physically bumped by staff constantly!!

Awesome service, fantastic food. This was the first restaurant we have been to since the start of the pandemic. We book our reservations on The Open Table app, which was very convenient. Upon arrival, The staff confirmed our vaccination passport (with photo ID). The restaurant is up scale, with a warm aesthetic, the staff is amazing and are very helpful. The menu is NOT pub fare, but a lot of local and Canadian meals that are delicious and look wonderful. I had the fish and chips (pickerel) and we also had the grilled tofu, and the grilled Arctic Charr. A big shout out to Mya our server who was attentive and fun! Thanks for making our return to going out a warm and “not weird” experience

What a wonderful dining experience! Another hidden jewel in Guelph. The service was superb, as is the food and atmophere. The Elk Tortierre was nicely seasoned and delicious. Everyone raved about their choices. Nice variety of pizza choices, gluten free and vegan choices. We can't wait to return. Street Parking was a but tricky so.plan to arrive earlier.

We were so Pleasantly surprised! Just want to say the food was absolutely amazing. The best roasted chicken dish I ever had… seriously! The server Courtney was fantastic! What a fun evening! We will definitely be back!

It was our first time exploring Guelph so we decided to stop in at Miijidaa for lunch. The restaurant itself is quite spacious with a few different seating areas such as the sidewalk patio, interior spaces and even a lovely back patio. The lunch menu has a nice variety that ranges from appetizers to pizzas to sandwiches to more heartier dishes like their roasted chicken and seared trout. We decided on the Elk Scotch Egg, Venison Burger and the Potato Pizza. The Scotch egg was delicious with a nice jammy yolk and a crispy coating. The burger was okay but even though it was a venison patty we couldn't taste the venison. I don't know if this was intentional because venison can be gamey at times. It was the same problem with the Scotch Egg, if we didn't see Elk on the menu we'd never know what the meat was on the outside. We really liked the potato pizza but it would've been better without the roasted apple. Some chili flakes or a drizzle of chili oil would've worked instead.

Always a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is one of the best out there, the food was excellent (as you can see we started eating before I remembered to take a picture!), and the cocktails are imaginative and delicious! Big shout out to our waitress Kelsey who was attentive, funny and kind. Can't wait to come again!

The food that we ordered was pretty good. Everything was fresh. I’m pretty sure they homemade most of their dishes, like the burger bun and the pickled cranberries? You can taste the natural flavour when you have the first bite.

This is - hands down, and by far - the best food I've had all over Canada (been to all 10 provinces). It easily rivals or betters food I've had in Europe and the US at 'top' restaurants. The food is creative, insanely delicious, and healthy. This food should be held as a standard of Canadian cuisine; it would raise the standard so high that our 'national dish' of poo-tine would be forgotten altogether (unless, of course, this restaurant makes their own poutine...THAT I would look forward to). Great job to the chefs, servers, managers, and staff: A+. Mijiida (= 'let's eat')!!

The restaurant was busy, so we opted to sit at the bar. The service was friendly and efficient. The staff seemed to work well together and enjoy working there. The pea bacon sandwich and the venison burger were delicious. The French fries and the baked potato soup were very good. We would come here again if we were in town.

When there for patio. The place was spacious, great ambiance. food and beer were good. Order the beef and duck, I wish the black rice could be more cooked… it was a bit hard. The staffs was amazing, super nice! Just one critic about their glass and cups… definitely need to be cleaned more…

Wow we were pleasantly surprised with the dishes; really EVERYTHING was delicious. Merciiiiiii to the chef, the dishes offered are of excellent quality, and special mention to Garett for having advised us on the choice of dishes, served with a smile and he even tried a few words in French. Garett if we could put more stars…….. Great restaurant, go there you will not regret!

This restaurant has the most amazing food! I’ve been here twice now, once in the summer where I could enjoy the beautiful patio and more recently got to sit in the dining room, which also has a really nice feel. I had the same server both times and he could not be more friendly, he clearly loves the restaurant and wants to make sure everyone has a good experience. I’ve gotten the soup of the day both times and neither time let me down! I really recommend trying the trout as well.

Cozy restaurant in Guelph. The patio is a bit smaller and gets filled easily. Our server was great. Went above and beyond for customer satisfaction. Ordered the steak frites and it was good. An acquired taste, but good nonetheless. Loved the cornbread. My little one didn't enjoy the pizza as much. It was hard and basically burnt. If we took away the burnt parts, he would not have much left to eat. They made up for it and gave us a voucher to use for next time. Still recommend the place.

The food was great and there were a lot of good vegan options. There are also excellent non vegan menu options. The service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. Great drinks too!

We went here for dinner and had a great time. There is such a cute, warm vibe in the dining room, and we loved the bookstore beside it. There are a lot of unique and tasty options for food. We ordered some cocktails, the elk scotch egg, the tortiere, sea bass and peanut butter pie for dessert. The peanut butter pie was delicious if you’re obsessed with peanut butter like I am.

We had a lovely meal. I had the pesto pizza which was amazing! My oldest (16) loved the roast chicken sandwich and youngest (12) enjoyed the cheese pizza. My husband loved the beef cheeks. Great pre dinner cocktails. The kids enjoyed the raspberry sorbet for dessert. The peanut butter chocolate pie was rich but not too heavy and my husband enjoyed his blueberry pie jar. Service was excellent. Great vibe.

Non veg experience is average and veg experience is below average. Specifically veggie burger can be better. Mac n cheese is alright. The silver lining of the whole menu is their unique soda blends. All in all its tiny disappointing of the hype you can see on maps.

Stopped here on the way back to Toronto. Food was really good, great selection of various types of food from lobster, pizza and fried cheese. Very tasty, would recommend if you're in the neighborhood.

Got the steak frites special, steak was cooked perfectly. Fries and the sauce to dip might be the best I have ever had. Great cocktails, nice inside and outside on the patio. All the food just tastes delicious and well made with good ingredients. Highly recommend this spot 👌🏼.

Love the food! Everything ordered was plated well and tasted good. The gnocchi was my favourite; it almost melted in my mouth! It was refreshing to see homemade soda on the menu and if you love ginger beer like me, then I highly recommend ordering the homemade ginger soda. Overall great experience 5 star!

Went in tonight to check this place out without any expectations. Was absolutely in love at first sight at the decor, the ambiance, the cafe atmosphere. Felt at home and enjoyed a very delicious and well balanced meal. I will be returning to try everything else on the menu. Update: Miijidaa has become one of my favorite places to go for many occasions. Delicious and well designed menus for special occasions like Valentine's and New year's. But also a great place for a quick bite and some great coffee, or a wonderful LGBTQIA+ friendly bar to hang out at. Absolutely love this restaurant, bar and cafe.

If you go here order the beef cheeks or smoked duck!! You won’t need a knife with your beef because it literally falls off your fork and melts in your mouth. Just trust me. The duck is amazing! The barley as a side was so good I saved it and had it for lunch the next day. The service was fast, they’re always so nice and have good recommendations. One of Guelphs hidden gems!

Absolutely awesome food. We are on the patio and I had the peameal sandwich with a soup and my companions had the chicken. They were all unbelievably yummy. Also the peanut 🥜 butter desert was incredible (and I’m not a 🥜 butter person)

Good place, nice ambience.. Proof of vaccination asked for! :) However, going by intuition - service wasn't top notch.. Food quality: 4/5 Quantity: 4/5 Ambience: 5/5 Service: 3/5 Overall: 3/5

I am giving 2 star for amazing staff, ambient and place has nice vibes … loved their patio and friendliness… core of restaurant is good which I found missing .. mushroom pizza wasn’t up to the expectations.. very thin crispy crust pizza with lots of cheese … mushroom topping was way to less and I didn’t taste garlic sauce at all.. they should improvise on pizza crust and flavour.. !! It wasn’t that bad .. I may call it as simple cheese pizzA which I wasn’t expecting

Sometimes you happen to stumble upon a place with a warm, cozy setting that serves food that feeds the soul on a damp fall evening. Miijidaa is just that sort of place. The menu is thoughtfully assembled, preparation is impeccable and the tastes are so unique that you have to try it to believe it. The duck confit with blueberry gastrique was definitely a favourite at our table

👍👍 This place is spectacular. The atmosphere is so nice and cozy, you can see they think about every detail. 5 star service as well. We had the sunrise sensation and the angel’s omelette, everything was so good - the pancakes were the highlight for me, delicious! Will for sure become a regular here!
