My family stayed there for three nights. When we checked in and smelled the weird sense like mold in the room and the hallway of the 3rd floor. There was a housekeeping staff coming over and offering us an air refresher. Till the nighttime, I started to feel the moldy sense stronger. The front desk staff quickly responded and provided us with a different room; however, the moldy sense still existed. Finally, we found one room with one bed that has no moldy smell, but my son who is a teenager was forced to sleep and squeeze on a roller bed. We spent the whole night moving till 4 am, then settled. The next day I approached the front desk again, and they offered us another two room options. Unfortunately, they both smell the same: mold. It ends up we stayed with one bed and my son slept on a roller bed for 3 nights. The second issue is that they passed the used tissue box to us as we requested a new tissue box. After our trip back home, I got sick. The hotel has a serious hygienic issue. That’s the worst hotel staying experience we have ever had.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This site will compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you won't be let down. Very happy with the rooms I get when I stay here, as well as the price. Comfort and quiet nights for good sleep are my priority and this place has both, and friendly staff. Breakfast was lame but that's covid rules I'm sure, not the hotel's fault. The price is reasonable as well.

The hotel is quite okey to stay. They have the pool and live music at the bar in the weekends. Customer service should be improved. So far it’s the first hotel that I stayed to take a deposit ($150) out of my account as cleaning deposit (where’s other hotels usually hold) and yet after five days they haven’t returned. I’ve heard 2 other guests were not happy about this policy at the reception and demanded to return the money after check out. Other than than the hotel is okey.

House keeping is amazing! I was so amazed how clean the rooms were. The pool is well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. The beds are super comfortable, and I'm definitely looking forward to my sleep tonight. P.S. FOOD IS YUMMY!!

Easily one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The pricing is very cheap, the service is fast and friendly, the wifi is great, and the amenities within the room are amazing. Thank you for helping make my night with my girlfriend amazing. The jetted jacuzzi pools in the rooms can be heated enough to simulate a hot tub which is so nice.

The place was way nicer than we expected! Super clean, incredibly spacious everywhere including the rooms, so clean, and almost regal like. The staff wore masks which we thought was super thoughtful and the bed was very comfortable. Also free breakfast and parking. All around amazing! Absolutely would book again!

The staff was very friendly, helpful and nice. The vending machine didn't work and kept eating my loonies/quarters. But the lady at the front desk was nice enough to give me my coins back and the drink I wanted. The rooms are comfy. Pretty small though. We were supposed to have 1 queen bed, but it was more of a double. The non-smoking room we were in smelled like smoke. Everything else worked fine. We got the continental breakfast in the morning. It was just in a brown paper bag. What can you expect with covid going on though? The apple turnover was pretty good. Thanks for having us!

Decent room with a good view. Breakfast was a letdown: Apple juice, yogurt, croissant and an apple. Long hallway to the elevator, not quite a handicap friendly place.

We came on Sunday, June 18 and left until the 19 of July due to a fire and everyone here is amazingly generous, kind, humble, and just simply remarkable. Every morning at breakfast, the staff would ask how we are keeping and talk to us like a second family. 💕 The front desk and managers showed us kindness with their help and room service were great! Definitely recommend this place 👌🏼

Service: 2/5 The guy who checked me in had no smile on his face. I felt like i was interrogated by a police officer. 2 points for the gal who answered questions with a smile. Complimentary breakfast: 3/5 continental breakfast, if you like it, you like it. Enough said. Free onsite parking: 5/5 Lots of spots on site, and you will be asked to fill out a form (make and model of car) to park. Rooms: 3/5 quite dated rooms but very clean. Beds and pillows are quite soft imo. Bath towels, to my surprise, very soft comparing to other hotels. The fan in the bathroom was super noisy (we had 2 rooms and both of them had the same issue. I used it as white noise but others found it disturbing. Location: 5/5 Very convenient location, easy access to city / restaurants / highway. Others: WED 6am garbage/ waste truck pick up - I am a light sleeper so this was really a big no no for me. But my roommates / other family members did not have any issues/ were not waken by it.

Rooms were cleaned and great, but the amenities are much to be desired. The breakfast gave not many options and can't go to the city center without needing a car and only bus in the area arrives every half hour. Otherwise it is a good hotel

Happened upon this hotel on Expedia. The reviews were great, so we decided to stay here for the weekend. It's a bit outside Toronto, but the drive wasn't terrible. Nice location. The front desk staff was lovely! Breakfast was yum! Rooms are clean and staff are friendly. We would stay again!

A very good property, location is good, could get better franchise, lots of parking. The entry from the west is hidden, which creates problems for guests. Want to book a hall for our upcoming seminar and found a useful place. It's a bit pricey.

We had our wedding over the course of two days at the Monte Carlo. We had two ceremonies, one of which had never been done at this venue prior. To say the Monte Carlo was accommodating, would be a massive understatement. They went above and beyond to ensure our wedding went exactly as we planned. In particular, our coordinator Carly was absolutely amazing. She was so attentive, helpful, and on the ball with everything, despite the complexities involved with two ceremonies. We honestly feel we couldn't do it with her. All of the staff were super helpful, kind, and seemed to enjoy the weddings themselves! We felt very supported by them. The venue itself was perfect for the size and vibe we were going for. This place is a hidden gem, honestly. We wanted to thank the Monte Carlo, it's wonderful staff, and Carly in particular for such an amazing weekend!!

The Monte Carlo Inn & Suites hotel is an okay hotel. It's not priced too high which is reflected in the clientele, the drab brown colour of the walls, the complimentary breakfast options, and the rooms. When I booked a room, there was a bit of construction and painting going on. The walls are a very ugly colour (you could have painted it blue!) and it doesn't look very classy. The rooms are just average. They were warm in the winter and everything was well-kept as well as very clean. I loved that. The breakfast options weren't anything special. We actually had a problem with the TV in our room and the staff were SUPER nice about it. They relocated us to a different room which was bigger. They were really polite and kind about the whole thing and I'm raising this review from 3 to 4 stars simply because of the staff. Overall, it really wasn't bad for the price you pay and it's much better than staying at an overpriced AirBnB.

This hotel is quite inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area but for the price point it's actually pretty nice. The architecture is quite beautiful and it has an indoor pool and free breakfast. The staff was very accommodating and polite. Rooms were good as well. I definitely recommend this establishment

The service was high end, the room (king bed with Jacuzzi tub) spectacular, and the location was close enough to most anything I could have wanted. Continental breakfast was atypical of most motels. So why only 4 stars? My supper. I ordered a prime rib burger with garden salad, thousand island dressing on the side. Apparently, thousand island is now balsamic, a minor detail...the salad prep was poor, as the romaine was cut off the top of the head, but no further work done - I could have made sushi rolls using the full width of the lettuce that I was served The tomatoes were wrinkly and tasteless. And the salad as a whole was actually flavourless. An impressive feat, but not what I wanted. As for the burger, I have no knowledge of any cut of meat that has more pepper than beef flavour - it could have been a slice of pork and I am unsure if I would have noticed any actual taste difference. I don't want to belabor a point here, but if you're charging $25 for a burger, salad, and a can of pop, it better be good. This was not even close to good. I will just get delivery next time.

The hotel appears to be quite lovely. The public areas are neat and the staff are amicable. However, the interior of the rooms could use some improvement, as the sheets emit a strange and inexpensive odor and are slightly dusty.

This hotel is gem of a place in this neighborhood. The rooms are nicely maintained. They are old but the upkeep is good. Staff is very helpful and polite. The breakfast is very good as well. For the price and location, this is an amazing place. I stayed here for almost a week. They gave me early checkin at 11:30 am which was amazing and helpful.

I stayed in one of the rooms, and one of the things I noticed about my sheet covers was that they smelled and also had blood stains, which was not me. I did not bother asking room service to change the covers, and that is bad since the hotel is providing a service that you're paying for. Also the washroom have everything you need, except toothpaste and limited bottles of water which it was just 1. I hope this is useful information for travelers like me.

Excellent service everyone was friendly, a very quiet place to sleep at night. You get a voucher for breakfast every morning. When your stay is over, you walk out feeling very good about a place to take it easy.. I spent two weeks, it was amazing. They have a fireplace in the bedrooms. You can turn on the heating if you need to. I had to go out for a few hours, when I came back to the hotel I went to my suit, found a towel that was in the shape of a heart by one of the housekeeping crew. That was very sweet of them. I believe I will stay again in the future for sure.😊❤️

your hotel staff steal takeout orders, does your boss know? Just after 1 a.m., our takeout was stolen right from the doorstep. Your arrogant Indian front desk manager said they won’t provide any video footage and suggested we report it to the police. He said"We know who took it, but what we can do nothing! And we won’t provide any video!” How rediculous it is the hotel! The service and safety like shot!

I reserved and paid for 1 room 2 queen beds on line. Upon arrival an hour later I was told the room was not available. So I was forced to get the room with king bed and sofa bed that they had available Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. I had the worst sleep I ever remember from any hotel I ever stayed Not to mention that they misinformed us that the breakfast was served till 11 am. Next morning at 10am we went for breakfast and we found out that the breakfast was served till 10 Bed experience unpleasant stay in this hotel! I hope my review will help others!

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The housekeeping staff is extremely friendly. The front desk staff was fine but not overly welcoming. When booking with Expedia, I was told there is a $150 damage deposit, which isnt entirely true. That is only if you pay with credit card. If you pay cash or debit, it is $300 with obviously no flexibility due to the fact it isn't properly advertised. The hotel should be making sure that is well communicated, even with the third party vendor. That is their responsibility. The fact there is a deposit at all is laughable because they don't even check to make sure the room is not damaged before they give the deposit back. So what's the point then? At check-in, they should at the very least tell you that breakfast needs a voucher so you don't show up at the restaurant, just to have to return to the front desk to stand in line for a voucher. Breakfast is just pastries, muffins, bread, bagels and hard boiled eggs floating in water inside a crockpot. Coffee and tea is in a separate location away from all the food, so not noticeable at first. Also, all the food is covered with napkins so you need to lift each one to see what is underneath. Maybe they could invest in some proper display equipment with clear lids? Overall, the hotel was fine because I just needed a place to sleep while my mother was in the hospital but there could be some minor improvements for a better guest experience.

Spent 2 days for anniversary celebration. Booked jacuzzi tub room. Hotel seems quiet but worn-out. Room was a bit dusty behind and on furniture, bathroom was dark (no light in the shower area), wall papers were peeling off, carpet was yucky and looked pretty nasty. Complementary breakfast was not appetizing/ carb loaded other than boiled eggs. No protein at all like sausages or bacon. Very limited selection and not appetizing...lots of sweets offered first thing in the morning. Shouldn't have to pay extra $8 for extras other similar hotels we stayed in offered for free. First day check in, staff was great. On check out, the young man who served was not hospitable/ personable ( perhaps new but needs customer service training).

I'm not even checked out yet and I need to give a 5* review. I have been to each of the hotels (Vaughan & Mississauga) and this is hands down the BEST Monte Carlo. It is newly built WITH a pool, very large ceilings - its pure luxury. It's here where I feel like I'm back in Italy. The attention to detail here is unparalleled. Everything from special Monte Carlo mints, to a Monte Carlo engraved pillow case to the LavAzza coffee in the rooms - no other hotel has this. Marvelous work done by the management of this hotel. Also the staff- Michael, Mohit, Nurine & Suzette - are exceptionally friendly and the chef is fantastic (rare to find in the other chains like Vaughan). This is hands down the absolute BEST hotel of the Monte Carlo chain.

Rooms very spacious. Although cleaned regularly, barely enough towels left each time and some were threadbare and very old. The location and the spacious parking is good if you just want a base and have a car. The breakfast was awful that we ended up eating out every morning. The quality of it is poor and guests were using hands to pick up, smell and put breakfast items back - not very hygienic. The breakfast area was small and cramped and needed redecorating. The pool was pretty good, when it was open. The staff were friendly enough.

The Monte Carlo Inn Downtown Markham hosted a reception for my father’s funeral in the Savoy Hall. From the moment I contacted them, their service was impeccable. Special thanks to Carly and Jenna for taking care of us and doing everything to make sure we had everything we needed. I will absolutely use the Monte Carlo again in future.

So we had our annual Christmas work event here and it was AMAZING! Our staff was in touch with Carla and she did a FANTASTIC job of coordinating and executing a very tough crowd!! The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Tables were always provided drink tickets and the bar ran VERY smooth for us thirsty people. LOL. I can't wait to go back next year and do it all again! Thank you for making our Christmas work event such an awesome night!! 👌🏻 10/10 from me!!

This was a solid stay for a couple of days near markham/Richmond Hill area. The room was clean, furniture old, but it was fine. Heater worked well, good amenities, had microwave, coffee maker, iron, and bloww dryer. I didn't like being assigned an accessibility room when I didn't require such service. Curtains do not fully align to close and completely block outside light or sun. They accommodated a late checkout, which was very much appreciated. Breakfast was simple yet sufficient: hard boiled eggs, bagels, jams, some fruits, croissant or other baked goods, muffins, packaged oats, milk, tea, coffee, juice. Parking was complementary. There was a gym. Wifi worked very well for Zoom/team calls. It was good enough. I would recommend it.

I base my rating on the price to value ratio. This hotel is not a 5 star hotel. However, for under $200 a night in this market it the best price/value. It’s dated but it is kept clean and does what it priced to do.

Beautiful place, but sadly ended up in emergency and even with proof of hospital stay would not reimburse or even partially reimburse. I get policy, but sometimes being considerate helps, especially when we would have just rebooked with your hotel another night. Edit We checked in late vice wasting money. Bed was so uncomfortable, the air exchange is so loud, room was very dusty. Would never stay again considering the amount you pay. Not worth it.

This is a great place to stay and be very centrally situated. The hotel looked after very well and was very comfortable for the stay. Lots of parking space and multiple entrance points, swimming pool, fitness room, etc. I also walked to local shops within a walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful.

My room needed some touch-up, mainly around the jacuzzi. As for the staff, I found they were rude enough that I won't be going back. I travel all over north America and I must say their mannerism needs to be improved!

I enjoyed my time there...jacuzzi tub was relaxing...shower was not cleaned well and I was moved to another room. Was a nice place. As for moving the next room was clean. Don't rent movies there however 25 dollars and you can only watch it once...TV was not smart so no Netflix, Amazon Prime...no beaming from your phone either...if your going with another person it's OK without having something to watch...going to relax alone like I did....bring your computer and stream...

Pretty neat and clean during covid times, following all covid regulations, staff are friendly and professional, it is perfect for the stars given, a three star hotel. Right now most services are closed due to covid, the pool is open, but I would not swim in it just to be safe. This hotel is not good for having fun but good place to stay if you touring Toronto.

The room smells funny and was suffocating. I had difficulty breathing. I called the front desk and said they had to clean the carpet and said that probably was rhe reason. Really nice place, but no food you need to go a distance to get to restaurant. The breakfast was included they call it a To Go bag its a brown paper bag with juice, yogurt, apple or banana and a croissant. The pool is small and shallow in the deep end about 4 feet good for kids.

My hotel room had an awful smell. I honestly don't know if it was coming from the vents, the walls or the carpet. This room I was in looked really rundown. Felt like I was staying in a motel. I guess that's what you get for the price. I loved that I didn't have to pay for parking and the complimentary small breakfast. But that terrible smell ruined my experience. They really need to update the carpets. I will not be staying here again. Until they upgrade, I suggest you stay away from room 221.

I checked in a few months ago with a cousin at a room. The room has a very strong odor that of a deodorizer of sort. Smells like the carpets were soaked at some point and vacuumed but stinks. My cousin, who was really tired was able to sleep in the room but I stayed and slept in my car.

Stayed here for two nights! It was wonderful. I really liked the queen suite with the jacuzzi. The front desk staff was really friendly, particularly the man that was tall wearing a black suit. What I didn’t like was our toilet had a problem flushing and was overflowing. There were also a lot of kids running around on the 5th floor non stop but it’s alright. My boyfriend and I just stayed at the fitness centre until they stopped running around. All in all, had a blast :)

This is a basic hotel nothing special. Staff is nice; however wasn’t able to get help with my luggage and had to bring it all by myself on a luggage trolley. Free continental is nice, very basic, nothing special. I didn’t come here with high expectations so I wasn’t disappointed. Rooms need upgrading to include USB ports for guests to plug in for charging.

I would not come to this hotel anymore. I went 6 3~4 stars hotels for the past weeks. I had the worst experience in this hotel, I could hear any single word from the hall way in my room, especially from 7 pm to 8 am. I could not rest well, the kids were running in the hall way feeling the floor was shaking. And in the morning at 7am people knocked the door right across my room, and talked so loud. It sounded like they were talking right beside me. Worst place I have ever stayed in the same price level.

Paid USD215 for one night on a Friday Labor day weekend. I know it’s busy, but after paying that much, I was hoping for more. This hotel is too old and definitely needs updating. It seems cleaned as much as possible, but the hotel was too old for us to appreciate the cleanliness (too “dark” carpets, maybe stains, maybe just dirty?). There was also a huge fly when we entered the room so that was very disappointing. Breakfast was too basic, worse than other cheaper motels we’ve been to. On a lighter note, the hotel staff are very warm and friendly.

No words, Just amazing. 5/5 because this was one of the best hotels i've ever been to. The breakfast was delicious, the location is astonishing, and the swimming pool was great! 4/5 for service because there was no unlimited Coffee and Tea :/. But besides of that amazing.

I wanted a quiet weekend solo and I choose Monte Carlo. I requested a room that's quiet and so I got one on the 4th floor. The room had a scent that kept me up for most of the first night, but I called front desk in the 3am and the attendant took a smoke machine to the room and it really helped. I found hair in some of the drawers and that really was a pet peeve so I really didn't use the drawers. Anyway, a part from that I got to relax and enjoy the quiet time. There's nothing much to do there, but the nature was great outside, I went for walks around the building. The Restaurant there has great tasting and affordable meals, their salad is lovely, but I just thought the variety to choose from could be much more. Although, breakfast was included I never went for breakfast, not the kind of breakfast I eat. I believe management can do better, even one small bottle of water could be given as a welcome with the room, water is cheap enough and can be bought in bulk, with the price for a night stay giving a bottle of water shouldn't be that difficult. If you are looking for a quiet nice spot, and not requiring a lot then I do recommend staying here.

Stayed in the king suite with the jetted tub for our anniversary. Amazing stay, our room was clean, the jetted tub was awesome and so relaxing. Staff at the front desk were great, accommodating and allowed for an early check-in and late check-out. More than enough available to us from the hotel for one night.

Aside from the odd carpet and poor breakfast, the Jacuzzi room was awesome for our purposes and the King bed was comfortable and luxurious. Fireplace in room was a great perc. Staff argued loudly in hallways. I saw no bedbugs - all seemed fresh.
