2022 March 4★ approximately 25$ or family of 4 for 93$ Off the streets of downtown Toronto you can easily miss this attraction given its narrow storefront and busy juncture. Enter inside, the service counter serves as both a waiting area and a mini store selling both SWAG, puzzles and optical illusion books. Complimentary coat check is great. Although it's at your own risk, so no valuables should be left. Once inside there are a myriad of illusions which the pictures really speak for itself. The museum is divided into two sections. Total space is estimated to be about 5000sq feet of space. Given its size, it isn't really that big but there are a bunch of unique things to see. Expect to spend about 45 minutes to 1 hour here, though you could spend less if it's not crowded and you fly through the exhibits. Exhibits do change once in a while. It's worth checking out at least once. Paid street parking or parking lot nearby. Handicap accessible by request.

It truly is a fun place to enjoy the brain teasers. You will sometimes have to look twice to believe what you're seeing because your eyes and your brain will not get along. Especial thanks to Vijay who had constantly been available to take our pics. It's a must visit if you're in the city.

Museum of Illusion is a fun experience and spot to check out when in Toronto. Lots of cool exhibits throughout the little Museum. Take your camera 📷 and follow the guides set put to get the Illusion. Fun for all ages. It's a little spot but still took about 1 and 1.5 hours to see each exhibit. Felt the price was reasonable and staff is helpful. Tip ** I purchased my tickets online which meant no waiting.

It was my second time here, there was a few changes at their rooms and exhibitions. That day was March break, very busy and loaded with children, so I really don’t recommend to go there during these kind of holidays, as we had to wait in a long line to go inside the infinity room. Although I always get impressed by their magics, and brain tricks. Definitely infinity room and that colored bridge are my favorite 😍 There’s an underground parking that its exit room is exactly besides the entrance. I purchased tickets in advanced but the entrance checking was too slow that I am not sure it was a good idea!

Interesting for all ages. It takes an hour to explore entire museum. I wish it were larger relative to its price. that’s why I gave it four stars. Washroom was clean and has changing table. Fortunately, there was sanitizer everywhere because you have to touch everything to explore. Green parking close to the museum. Adult (ages 16 - 64) 25.50$ Child (ages 5 - 15). 19.50$ Seniors(ages 65+)22.50$

The museum is really fun and I would have rated 5 but because of a staff who works there, I rated 1.There was a girl with short black curly hair with glasses who is so rude and her tone was terrible. As me and my friends were aware having Mask is mandatory and we wouldn't took of our masks while we were walking around, my friend took off her mask for one second to take a picture and the staff came and said "if I see you one more time without mask , I would kick you out". That wasn't professional and it was so rude from her to talk to visitors. How ever, the museum it self was amazing.

I recently visited the Museum of Illusions, where the entry fee for two people, including taxes, was $58. Although I enjoyed installations like the poker table and chair setup, I wished there were more rooms or exhibits for the price. The upside-down metro was the highlight. There's no time limit for your stay, but it usually takes about an hour to explore everything. They have a coat room at the entrance and an extensive puzzle collection for purchase. Just a heads up, some rooms can make you feel dizzy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely recommend it.

I went with my son and my partner. We had fun roaming around messing with illusions of each other doing weird things. It was definitely worth the money. You should check it out at least once if you're in Toronto.

Visiting the Museum of Illusions is a fun way to do something new and different if you live in or are a visitor to Toronto. It isn’t an attraction that will take you very long to get through (30-45 minutes) but you are sure to have a great time, get some awesome pictures, and learn along the way. Ensure to buy a ticket ahead of time. Entries are staggered by time slot. We visited on a week night, near closing time. I would recommend trying to also go during an off-peak time frame. Many of the illusions require there to be no, or very few, people in the photo frames. The photos also must be captured at specific angles or they don’t work. I could imagine some of the awesome pictures you will get here would be difficult if it was very crowded.

Visiting the Museum of Illusion in Toronto was an absolutely mind-bending experience! From start to finish, every exhibit was a feast for the senses, leaving me in awe at every turn. The interactive displays truly brought the art of illusion to life, allowing me to immerse myself fully in each optical illusion. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyment of the visit. Whether you're a seasoned illusion enthusiast or simply looking for a unique and unforgettable outing, the Museum of Illusion is a definite must-see in Toronto. I can't wait to go back and explore even more illusions!

We had an absolute blast at the Museum of Illusions!!! There are different illusions at every corner. From trippy pictures on the wall to experiences you can be a part of, the museum is incredibly interactive. It is a super insta worthy spot and we got so many fun photos. The staff was very nice and explained to us how we can take the best possible pictures!

It has a couple of cool illusions. The staff was very rude in general, esp the girl with short curly hair. She woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Not worth $30 tickets with tax. Best for pictures but even after checking vaccinations, they didn’t let anyone take masks off even for a photo..which is fine but there’s a nice way to let someone know they can’t take their mask off even for a photo. Yet all the kids were running around without the masks unvaccinated. This entire place is only cool for pictures. We’re allowed to take masks off at movies, gyms, theatres etc. People, don’t waste your money here. The tickets should be like $10 max; overpriced for how small it is. Poor service. I’m giving it 1 star but should be 0 due to the curly hair rude girl.

We booked this on their website for a Christmas Day at 10:00am. I was surprised that they were opened. When we went in there was 10 of us. We went from room to room taking pictures. The staff were as very friendly. They explained some of the illusions and took our picture. It took 45 minutes to get through. There was an area to do some puzzles. We ended up buying a few in the gift shop at the front of the store $16 each. There is a room where you can hang up your coat and leave your belongs but it's not their responsibility if something gets taken. This was a great experience and I only wished it were bigger. But being that it's downtown I can understand their issue with the space.

Great for families, but if you’re a young couple aiming for tons of cool pics for the gram, could be done in less than 30 mins (only like 4-5 installations are truly gram-worthy … ***btw the ‘Upside-down Living Room’ installation is gone now - changed to an ‘Upside-down Subway Car’***). Pros: easy to book for any time, gets everyone involved, unique all-ages activity, located in a fun part of downtown. Cons: proper directions for taking pics are unclear unless you see someone do it first (instructions are written on TINY panels pasted to the wall - not enough picture demos), tix are not cheap if you’re in/out, small place - can get chaotic, staff pretty much non-existent inside the exhibit (would be nice if they were roaming around, controlling crowds and demo-ing pics).

It was a lot smaller than expected. Crowded. Was alright but not worth the money. Presto card gets you 20% off but no one tells you that. Code is Presto20.

We went as a family of 6 adults and a toddler, and it was a great experience for all ages. We laughed, took funny photos and made new memories for grandma’s birthday. After the show, you could go to Cora for brunch.

We had sooooo much fun here🥰🥰🥰 Please take your time with every piece and delight in them🥰 And you will have a better time... So don't rush. Use your phone and take many different kind of pictures. There are lots of photo ops. At the end, bring some of the magic home with a puzzle piece from the mini gift shop 🧩🎲

This is a small but cute museum to visit. It takes about 45 min to an hour to visit every room. All the illusions have text beside to help you understand what is going on. Each room is more or less designed to go in with your group so sometimes there is a bit of a wait. I would absolutely recommend going with at least one other person because some of the illusions needed 2 people

We came here spontaneously and wow this was such an amazing experience. All of the illusions were amazing. My favorite was the True Self mirror. But honestly your kids and adults alike will absolutely enjoy this place. Staff was very very kind and helpful. Parking was a bit weird but right behind this building on George Street there was underground parking for $16 for a few hours. It was convenient when you figured it out. Highly recommended.

It’s quite fun to go through the museum and take pics. Doesn’t take too long to through it all. Max an hour. In that regard, it’s a bit expensive especially if a family comes then it would add up quite a bit to pay about $30 each. They don’t price match groupon price if you haven’t bought the tickets from before.

Meseum of illusions located nearby toronto downtown is a good place to visit with your young kids and family. They have a decent amount of exhibits on the display for you to enjoy. This place will surely give your brain a tickle by the mischievous behaviour of physics and optics. Your since loving mind will surely face a lot of challenges while roaming around the exhibition. I found 1 hour a little less to observe every item and grasp the scientific reason behind it. With few more items and a bit longer duration will surely justify the current price of the entry ticket. Overall my experience was good and I will recommend a visit to this museum is worth.

We were looking at top things to do for kids . And this came across - in trip advisor… our kids loved it . Even the adults had fun . It is a small place and I think some of the illusions- u can see in other places like wonderworks . Some illusions were really good . Price was ok. There was a guy who helped us taking pics exactly how the illusion was . Good customer service . Wish there were few more illusions for the price . Since we were in a large group, we took our time in each illusion , taking pics . Others moved on to the next ones and came back when free . Parking is a problem here . We had to leave our car in a paid parking location , next to this place . Good fun overall … had a good experience… lots of food / drink places around … 👏👏👏👍👍👍

My fiance and I came here for a date and it was lots of fun, it got crowded at some points but there was no long wait or line ups you can just move on through the museum and come back to things you missed. So glad they let guests take pictures, it's half the fun of going to this place! The weird optical illusions you get to be apart of! We were having trouble understanding one of the illusions but a staff member was near by and explained to us how to get it to work. The staff are very friendly and even offer to take pictures for you. I give 4 stars because it is a pretty small place and doesn't take too long to finish the whole museum. Overall it was great experience.

Tip #1: Save your money, you can find most of this stuff online. For $30, it's pretty much a rip off for such a small number of exhibits. There were a couple (maybe 2-3) of good exhibits but that's it. Tip #2: If you do come and you're paying for parking at half hour increments, you only need to pay for an hour, tops. 30min if you're like us. Claiming you can spend an hour here is really pushing it. Overall, for the price of 30 bucks, they should've at least had 2 times if not 3 times the number of exhibits. They did have a couple fun exhibits like the vortex, and a few illusion rooms but it still definitely did NOT justify the price. NOT a must see, but if you're willing to pay the money you can get a couple good pics for IG, I guess.

The Museum of Illusion in Toronto is a mind-bending and entertaining experience! It's a place where reality meets perception, and you'll be amazed by the optical illusions and interactive exhibits that challenge your senses. The museum is family-friendly and provides a unique opportunity for both learning and fun. The staff is typically knowledgeable and helpful, enhancing the overall visit. If you're looking for a different kind of museum experience that leaves you questioning what you see, the Museum of Illusion in Toronto is a fantastic choice.

Had an amazing time! Wish there was more, which isn't a knock at it being small I just wish there was more because it was great! Completely interactive, great for all ages I recommend buying tickets in advance, was dead when we got there but when leaving absolutely packed! Not sure if they would have accepted walk-ins (we pre-puchased)

Lots of Cool illusions in one place. Neatly tucked location downtown, not soo big and can get quite busy on weekends. Lots of human traffic on a Saturday. There are instructions to help you figure stuff out yourself. They have a coat room. Go with your friend(s). Don’t go alone. Take cool pics. Have fun 👍🏾

Very fascinating experience, museum full of interesting illustrations and illusions. Adults and kids can have the same level of enjoyment and fun. Must visit at least once. Some very informative phenomenons appropriate for all age groups. The place is small though, taking pictures at some of the spots like upside down train compartment might take longer as more people find it fun otherwise the crowd is easy flowing with no wait times.

Great place!! Nice employee and rewarding experience. If you love illusions as much as I do, you'll love trying them all out. For my part I do not find the place too small and I must have spent an hour there if not more. Its really depend how interest your are in illusion. It's also a perfect place to take original picture. Thanks!

Cute little Toronto find to spend 20 minutes or so in. Neat little illusions to see. There are a maximum of 6 bigger illusions and 20 “read about” illusions. So it is very very small. Don’t expect to be here all day. However still worth a visit if you’re willing to spend $100 (3 people) for a few minutes. We enjoyed our time. ☺️

4 stars only because it is really small. Otherwise the place is pretty good, might take you around 20-25 mins to go around and check the place out. I really liked the room that made us dizzy just by walking into it, it was out of the world. And also, the puzzles on the side are pretty cool. There is parking right below the building that’s paid, it was 9$ for weekend rate but weekdays might depend.

The Museum of Illusions is a very unique and remarkable place. It's in a great location right down the street from St. Lawrence Market. Finding a parking spot was really easy and as long as you use Green P, it's inexpensive too. We enjoyed our visit immensely. It truly is, by far, one of the most fascinating and engaging museums my girlfriend and I have ever visited. There are so many different rooms, exhibits, a gift shop, and other things to enjoy. Plus, an incredibly talented magician named Steven Jones was performing live during our visit and that made it so much more unforgettable. We were all hella impressed by Steven's magic. We would visit again just to see his magic show!

Contrary to a traditional walk-through museum, this venue consisted of a medium-sized room with interconnected smaller rooms. Despite its compact layout, it still offered engaging interactive experiences and photo opportunities, albeit geared more towards children. Our visit, including exploring these spaces and capturing photos, lasted about 20 minutes.

This is for kids but in the presence of parents. You can enjoy it on your own without any guide. Take photos and tilt them to provide a better experience for your audience. It's perspective art, and you can explore it as much as you like with your imagination. These are amazing creations by the Museum of Illusions in Toronto.

A great fun place in Toronto. Provided much entertainment for all ages (visited with 6 children under 10 years, parents and grandparents). I visited this museum on September 15, 2023. It was on my to-do list since before the pandemic started way back in 2020. This museum is so fun! I found it as fun as going to an amusement park as a child. It is also fascinating from a scientific perspective. Some of the illusions blew my mind. I recommend this place for people of every age. Fun! Fun! Fun! Also, the staff were super nice, which made it feel great being there too.

At first it wasn’t giving, however, it became a bit more fascinating as we walked through the museum. The downside is that it’s very small and some of the illusions aren’t that surprising. Overall, it’s a great place to experience especially with family and friends. Be prepared to take a lot of pictures to be able to see some of the illusions. Some won’t make sense at first but you have to follow the signs on the floor for them to make sense.

I visited the place on a weekday, and although it was a bit crowded, it was okay. Before you go, make sure you have the right expectations. This isn't a museum but rather a small science place that uses lenses, glasses, and physics to create mind-bending illusions. If you're into that kind of thing, you'll love it as it demystifies the universe's mysteries. There's even a mirror that creates infinite projections. It's also a great spot for capturing amazing pictures. I saw kids having a blast there. Personally, I really liked it. Just make sure to set aside enough time because once you've unraveled the mysteries, a repeat visit may not have the same charm.

Illusions tricks are very nice BUT $25 per person is a little expensive and you must pay for your own street parking as a plus. I thought was a massive museum but actually its only 6-7 rooms. Friendly staff and cool vibes 🤩🤩

We came here with a group of 10 guests and everyone really had a blast fooling around and taking fun photos during our hour here. It was a fun unique experience for all ages which was great too! My only major complaint is that the place is a lot smaller than expected and we all agreed that the size and time spent was not worth the price they charge. I think it should be a bit less expensive and they would still get a ton of visitors to make their money overall.

There are not a lot of museums that my kids like to go to, but this one, they love! We went once when it first opened, and now we went again after their renovation, where they installed some new "illusions", so it made it exciting again. My kids got such a kick out of the mirror trick, and that room where one side you look taller and one side shorter is just awesome. Adults love it too (there was mostly adults there!), was fun for me and my spouse the second time around, and so educational. Makes learning fun! It's a great spot for a date! Great for tourists!! The nice part for parents is that the space is not so big, so you don't tire out when walking around, like you can in some huge museums. Also, it won't take you hours to get through (likely between 45-65 min?) so it's a good time frame too. Easy street parking.

  • 4/5 Jay T. 1 year ago on Google
This place is as described. It is small and I almost missed it on Front Street. I was with a group so I think our tickets were discounted at $28pp which was absolutely worth it. We made reservations so there was no wait. The illusions were fun and I felt like a child again. I think children and curious adults will enjoy it. Each installation has instructions on how to figure out the illusion which was super helpful. There were also posters of other random fun science facts at different spots. If you like science, and illusions and you're curious you'll love this, young or old. It's a great indoor activity, especially for the winter and I'll recommend it!

Super fun, but super expensive for such a small museum. You will have seen everything in 15 to 45 minutes MAX.
