We requested an early check-in, but they couldn't guarantee anything until we arrived. When arriving, they mentioned our original room wasn't ready, but they quickly found us another room that was available. We stayed on the 12th floor. The room was nice and clean. The mini fridge wasn't working, but the room had a nice view of downtown. The breakfast was decent. They offered the usual: scrambled eggs, pork sausage, turkey sausage, yogurt, cereal, etc. Overall, it's a good place for a quick few nights.

My husband and I went into the city for a night to celebrate his birthday. The hotel was great. Easy to get to, underground parking for the car. The room was beautiful. I had called ahead to say we were celebrating his birthday and the hotel went above and beyond to make us feel special. Everything was top notch. Breakfast was part of the room rate which very few hotels do anymore. After spending an expensive night out, it's great to not have to worry to find somewhere to have a bit of breakfast before heading out of the day. Never disappointed with Holiday Inn Express hotels !!!

Had a great experience, the rooms were clean, customer service was excellent, no bugs, breakfast was normal, not great not bad. Only comment is the parking garage is very low and tight, be mindful if you have a medium-sized to 1/2 tonne pickup.

The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing . That I would give a 5 star. Now for the negative. The front desk staff was very rude, ignorant and not very accommodating . My sister and her husband have been staying there for the last 3 weeks as their daughter is on life support at St. Michael's hospital. They were given the compassionate rate for the room, but that's the only compassion they received. I stayed with her for 4 days and witnessed this less then professional treatment first hand. Everytime they go to rebook the room for another week they were treated very poorly. They felt they received this treatment because they were paying less for the room and felt staff wanted to rent it out for more. As of this Friday they were told they cannot extend their stay any longer and were forced to book a week at another hotel that is much more expensive. Believe me they would rather not have to stay at any hotel, but they want to be by their daughters side. I find a little compassion goes along way. The front desk staff should try this.

Room was very good, no complaints on larger corner rooms. Great view down Jarvis, overlooking St. James Cathedral and park. The Islands and Lake Ontario beyond. Covid rules meant free breakfast upon request and delivered to door. Sounds nice, but it filled the halls with takeout boxes, entire stay there was food garbage in the halls.

The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful. The room was clean and updated. Breakfast was simple yet had plenty of options to choose from and was filling. Love staying here, close walk to the distillery district and even to the financial district. Our 3rd year staying here for the Christmas market and we love it, thank you!

5-star service for they let us checked in early in the morning, so we didn’t need to take our luggage with us and parked our rental car in hotel garage while we visited downtown. Room is small due to downtown land space but enough for a 4-members family. Two QUEEN beds is rare for downtown hotels. Most of others have only 2-double beds or King with sofa option. Price is affordable includes free breakfast(with hot food). Location is convenient, within walking distance to Downtown area, university and ROM. The only small issue for us was the water pressure in shower could be improved.

The room was small, but very comfortable. The shower had decent water pressure and was nice and hot. The staff was very friendly and attentive Ron in particular made sure I was happy with my accomodations, which I was. I wasn't able to enjoy much of the amenities of the hotel outside of my room due to being there for work and having to get up quite early. But the location is amazing. You are in walking distance to amazing bars and restaurants and shops. Right across the street from a quaint little park couldn't as for better. I would absolutely stay here again.

We came on vacation from up north.we got a little lost looking for the hotel parking, when we called to ask for help front desk was short with us, rude and annoyed by or questions. Staff carry on among themselves, not friendly. The rooms are very tiny. No microwave. Underground parking is very tight. Limited channels on the tv. Very dissatisfied with our trip. Better hotel by the airport.

Not impressed at all! Unfortunately I had to book a room for 2 nights while my husband was in ICU at Mount Sinai. Over the phone I was told twice that the total price was $571.73 for both nights. When I finally arrived to check after 8pm I was in shock to find out my total price over a thousand. Was told that $571 was for one night not two! So obviously the lady booking the reservations over the phone screwed up! Unfortunately I had absolutely no choice but to pay and stay for one night because it was late and I was exhausted. The room was very basic and nothing nice about it at all especially over priced! I will never book there again in the future, nor would I recommend it! Thanks for the extra expense that I did not need during the difficult time! Sincerely

I had the pleasure of working with Anston, the Director of Sales and Marketing at Holiday Inn Express Toronto Downtown on professional photography for the hotel last month. My stay the night before was great. Although the hotel is in the heart of Downtown Toronto, my room was very quiet, modern and spacious, and had a great view of the city. I photographed all the room types at the hotel, and they have a good selection to cater to all types of travellers. The staff throughout the hotel, from front desk to breakfast area and housekeeping were all friendly, and I could tell that they really cared about the hotel and their guests. Noticed many regulars that seemed to know the hotel staff. Looking forward to working with the team here again in the future.

Room doors are not seal enough, voice and noise of the next door is clearly passing to your room! Parking is available, but $35 expensive. Staff are good. Price per night is reasonable

They had all what you can expect at a holiday inn express. Rooms were clean, corridors well maintained, breakfast was pretty good. My stay was quite comfortable

Comfortable, clean hotel, where the staff are more than helpful 👍🏻 The breakfast 🍳🥞 isn't that great, but it sets you up for the day 👍🏻 Unfortunately there are some beggars and homeless folk in St James Park, situated over the road and on our first afternoon a lady was seen urinating on the street next door to the hotel. Nowt the hotel can do about that. It's society issues. But a great week was spent here. A good base for the week we had in Toronto 👌🏻

Had the best stay. I’m here all week due to work. I have been enjoying my stay. I work all day so when I get back, order food which they’ll call and let you know is coming up, and hop into bed. This bed is amazing comfy. I have had the best sleep in so long. Next time my work needs me here I’ll be requesting this hotel or I’ll just come here on my next Toronto casual trip.

Stay did not start off well. Parked our BRAND NEW car in the underground parking lot. Lifted the tail gate to get our bags and it hit a sprinkler pipe and chipped the paint. Of course, there was “nothing they could do”. But they could have warned us when they directed us to the parking lot. The entire ceiling of the lot is covered with these pipes, and I’m sure we are not the first to complain about this. So consider yourself warned if you decide to stay here. Room had a dusty odour and corners and edges of floors were dirty. Room was poorly laid out. TV was not in front of bed, but beside it.

Very clean, friendly staff. We only stayed one night for a concert. Parking was nuts. There is a parking garage but it is so small. There is only one way in and out that curves uphill sharply. I had a jeep Cherokee and it was tight.

Well appointed rooms, the small height adjustable table makes a great standing desk. Large shower. Very comfortable beds. Clean! Breakfast was very good - good selection, everything was tasty. Worth the sight splurge to get the king room with extra floor space.

The staff Ravish at the desk is very accommodating and welcoming. The room is very clean and well sanitized. I would like to recommend Judy who serves in the breakfast. She’s very nice and assist us there makes us feel welcome. Kudos to the sanitary protocols for this hotel.

Great, affordable hotel. The service/staff was so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was great. The only negative thing was the weak water pressure. Still a fantastic experience.

I would definitely recommend this place! I was checking some of the reviews and they say that this hotel is bad but it definitely isn’t! The receptionist at the front were soo nice. When we went to our room, I was very surprised to say the least. The room was soo clean and the bed was perfectly made, the view from the window wasn’t that bad. The bathroom was also very clean and i had thought this was a luxury hotel. The breakfast isn’t bad either.

The hotel is clean, safe and comfortable. Nice breakfast too! Location was good. We walked to the Rogers centre without any issues. Shout out to Ravish at the front desk. He was so kind and helpful! The rooms are spacious and clean! Looks like they’ve all been recently remodeled

Beds were very comfy and sheets were soft. Room was small but for the price, it was definitely worth it! Location isn’t the most ideal but I had a great stay nonetheless - would definitely come back again :)

The hotel has a good location and comfortable beds. The rooms are clean and the staff is very nice—shout out to Juliet in housekeeping! My only criticism is that the shower pressure in my room was weak, so it took a long time to rinse off.

Good hotel and they were kind to do my house keeping as well. The neighborhood is convenient for work and travel. Breakfast quality could be better. Gym needs up keeping too.

Everything is good except they charge 30$ a day for parking on top of room charge. So if your room is 210$ plus tax plus 30$ plus tax. A hotel that doesn't have own parking is surprising. Complimentary breakfast is ok.

Stayed here in October 2021 and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The room was a great size and the bed was super comfy. We didn't try the breakfast but it looked and smelled great every morning. Staff were super helpful and really friendly. Would 100% stay again.

We stayed here for two nights, overall it’s a nice hotel but we didn’t have hot water in our unit which was a bit frustrating when trying to shower. Breakfast was included but the wait time was anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour (for take out). There is also no sound proofing whatsoever between the units.

Check in was super efficient. Friendly staff. Never had a parking situation in toronto easier than here. Room was ultra clean. Every amenity you could need. Location is 5-10 minute walk from everywhere. Would stay here again in a heartbeat

I was there for one night. Check in was quick and efficient. Staff were helpful, courteous and gave me a room on the higher floor. Room was very clean and decent size. Unfortunately there wasn't any remote in my room. They brought one upon request. Microwave was very handy to warm up the food. The heating was very noisy as I had to turn it off before sleeping. Mattress and pillows were really comfortable. I had a corner room and the view from the window wasn't that bad.

It was really nice to stay here. All the staff are nice and very approachable they make sure you that everything you need like extra towels and amenities will provide it to you. Also special mention to the breakfast attendant Ms JUDY she was really nice and friendly to all of the guest.

The rooms are nice. Breakfast is good. Lots of the amenities are cumbersome to use because you have to keep going to the front desk to ask to use it. It’s annoying and unnecessary. The front desk isn’t that approachable either if you are shy. They are a bit rude. It’s good for staying the night. Beds are really comfy.

We had the best stay here last night! our room was clean and beautiful on the 11th floor! giant king size bed! the front desk staff were great, and they even had parking for us for an additional fee which was great for us as we were only in the city to see a show! free breakfast included the next morning! we will definitely be back again!!

Hotel room was nice. Breakfast was good but no covid rules considering there is no maid service. People were all over the place packed in elevators and dining area. Good location to get to attractions, and shopping.

  • 5/5 Amanda G. 2 years ago on Google
The front desk staff Ron and Ravish were especially helpful and so friendly! Ravish gave us directions to a shop we were looking for and also gave us a late checkout to accommodate an appointment we had! The buffet breakfast was delicious and the room was clean and comfortable! Thank you for a great stay in Toronto!

The location is really nice, and the rooms are decent size. Cleanliness was lacking a little. I found hair in the bathroom in a couple different spots, particularly on the towels. The service desk is helpful and willing to accommodate guest needs

I arrived very late from airport and my first thought was..where am I going? I had excellent service. My room was very clean. I would recommend. It is downtown and close to everything.

  • 4/5 F. M. 1 year ago on Google
The staff (front desk, both morning, evening and night), housekeeping, and those in breakfast are all very professional, polite, knowledgable, and friendly. The rooms were super clean and appreciated that the TVs were more updated than other hotels, and easy to navigate. Any service/restock requests/issues were very promptly handled by the team. I only wish they stocked more variety, and/or rotated items for breakfast, since it was a bit repetitive. As well as stock more herbal teas (not just decaffeinated). It's a walkable area and felt safe, although it was cold and didn't manage to explore outside much. I would absolutely return again.

  • 4/5 Bruce L. 1 year ago on Google
Decent clean rooms with comfortable beds and lovely bedding. The tv was quite poor and had a weird aspect ratio to the picture. The included breakfast was outstanding with lots of both home and cold options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is very cramped and not much fun in a larger vehicle. The amenities in the room were limited to shampoo, conditioner and body wash in dispensers in the shower. For some reason we were given a handicapped person room which was ok but not required or requested. All on all a pretty good stay. Wonderful location for our event.

  • 5/5 Jessie S. 1 year ago on Google
We were able to check in early and all the staff were polite and friendly. Room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location of the hotel was central to all our activities (within walking distance) and the breakfast was great.

Great hotel, nice, small and clean! Great and friendly staff members but wished they had some sort of shuttle service available as it was hard moving around with heavy bags to the station to get to and from the airport.

  • 5/5 bt u. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent well kept hotel with spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds at a very reasonable price. It sits in the corner of the downtown overlooking lovely St. James Cathedral. One warning, the hot water is VERY hot, and one could be scalded in the walk-in shower.
