Awful and unprofessional services. This is one of the worst medical service I have ever been to in Toronto. I've had multiple bad experiences with that office. I came today Sunday January 22nd to have my medical result. When I arrived at 8.50am there was a short line up (about 15 peoples), at 9am nobody was there to open the office, more people arrived and we waited for more than a hour (I left at 10.15am) and still nobody to open the office. There was seniors, pregnant persons and kids among those who waited in line. This is unacceptable for a medical service. How can you make people wait that long. I had called the previous day around 1pm to retrieve the result and the receptionist told me to come Sunday at the opening, here I am waiting in line for nothing. A lady who was there told me she came Saturday January 21st after 2pm and the office was closed. Now I will have to mcome another day and wait for another hour or more to see the doctor. I might as well go to another office as the level of service is unbelievable. I also had bad experiences before with them. They make you wait more than an hour to give you a paper to do a any test in the lab at 600 Sherbourne st. I was told the doctor will call me when the x ray result is available, and I never got a call. I had to call and was badly serve when I ask why the doctor haven't called me. I had to go to the office and wait for an hour for the doctor to tell me everything was ok even if I was still feeling pain. Many time also I called the office and nobody replied in the middle of afternoon or up to 2hrs before closure. Do not go to that office if you're really sick or feeling very bad with this kind of service they will left you for dead. This should not deserve any star.

I didn't even see a doctor cuz the receptionists were so not professional. When I was on my way and called in to confirm my ETA, the receptionist said they are still taking walk-ins. And when I arrived, they said it's too late. She was also giving me an attitude saying how many patients are waiting, seems like she was stressed out and just wanted to complain about her work. And when I asked about a medical referral, each receptionist told me a different price. Very unprofessional experience and will not visit again.

I rarely leave comments or reviews around but this place totally deserves the lowest rating. I had a virtual call with a doctor from this clinic regarding a health issue which had brought me to the emergency two weeks ago. After several checks the medical team at the emergency found the issue for the severe pain and I was advised to contact the family doctor and get a referral to see a specialist. Since I am a new immigrant, I don’t have a family doctor yet and the only option was to contact a walk in clinic and get the referral. I was told by the MCI’s doctor that I didn’t need to see a specialist and my issue was common for women etc. I claimed that I don’t find it in line with what that the emergency doctor told me, because I was advised to see a to specialist ASAP and I still have pain. After this statement from my side the doctor became very rude and hang on the phone while I was still talking. I wish I had read the reviews before deciding to contact this clinic. A total waste of time…

Many of the complaints I've read are shocking and outrageous: Who goes to a walk in clinic for a "panic attack"? How hurting is your ankle that you could walk 45 minutes on it to get to the clinic? Take a cab/Uber or the TTC. Who chances that 40 minutes before close will enable you to see a Dr? Why see a Doctor for a common cold? Stay at home, rest and drink fluids. You don't need a Doctor for rudimentary health advice. People who misuse this clinic create longer waits for those who have legitimate health issues. I have witnessed a lot of abuse directed at the front staff. Not privy to how people treat Nurses and/or Doctors once they're behind closed doors. No wonder medical professionals here and elsewhere are getting so burnt out. My experience has been stellar, I have been treated promptly, with compassion, great advice and quick follow ups when applicable.

The sign at the door as well as online said this clinic will close at 8pm. I walked 45 mins here to see a doctor because I had a injured ankle and possible injuries at my ribs. I arrived at 7:20, and the doctor’s office is already CLOSED! if you closed at 7 just update your hour! I walked 35 mins with a hurt ankle and ribs for nothing

I was extremely excited to see the words “OPEN - closes at 5:00pm today” on their website for the walk in clinic today, Sunday, May 22. So I made my way over, a very long walk, in the morning, with a book in hand knowing that I likely had a long wait ahead of me. I was just grateful after a long search to find a clinic open. I arrived to find a sign on the door that says “No more Registrations today”. I looked back on the internet and it still said “open” and the admin staff were there working. So I called them. She came out and told me that “no it’s not a walk in clinic, people come to sign up for an appointment first thing in the morning”. I asked her why this information was not on her website and she did not have an answer. I should have asked her, “wouldn’t it have been kinder to put your “no more registrations” sign on your website as well so people didn’t walk 2 km with oozing rashes or drive over and pay for parking with fevers and a cough, only to find out there was no time to see them today. Most clinics in the city are closed Sunday. And we wonder why our emergency wards are overwrought? 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄 It would have been so easy to post “No More Registrations Today” on their Google site. It makes no sense to me why they wouldn’t do this.

This is a very conveniently located walk-in clinic and doctor's office located here in the heart of the city. This organization is a long standing successful and respected medical clinic in Canada. Recently when I visited this location I smiled because they actually had an address from like 25 years prior when I was a child and hearing the phone number and the address made me smile because it's not very often that somebody has records going that far back! 🤔😀💯 thanks to the hard-working nurses and doctors and staff here at this location who try to keep people healthy all year round. The organization has done a great job I've always seen them throughout my history as a Canadian and known them to be reliable. My father was a former paramedic and my mother was a biochemist so I didn't exactly get into the walk-in clinic a lot! Luckily I was pretty healthy.🤞 However it's great to see that they have their file so long you can be sure that I updated them! Make sure to thank your doctor and medical staff and make sure to take care of your health because it's your responsibility and doctors can help but in the end mental and physical health are up to you.🙆🙅🙇‍♂️ Great staff here are to be commended though for their hard work! 👍🏆🇨🇦🌈🤵👩‍🎤🖖👏

Went to there by lyft desperate to see someone only to find out 15 mins after opening they were "fully booked to 5pm" for the clinic. What part of a walk in clinic means "book like you are seeing a therapist"? Apparently, unless you know well ahead that you will be sick, you might as well get bent. At least that way you would enjoy something. The receptionist is also a "ray of sunshine" so if you are looking for friendly staff, run away from here

Giving 2 stars is quite generous in my opinion. Some of these ladies in reception really need to sharpen their people skills because they way some of them talk to you over the phone is downright rude. I’ve been working in healthcare for 21 years and I would never ever get on the phone and speak the way some of these women do. If you don’t like your job? Change it. Plain and simple.

The rudest, unprofessional, and lack customer service skills when I ask for Information regarding the next steps for a wsib clam. ANNA and the other receptionists need a refreshment course update on customer service skills. Wish I never started at MCI in the first place. I will be looking for another doctor's office. As this place needs a change for the better of the people. Completely rude. Hung up the phone rudely. MCI needs to look for more professional RECEPTIONISTS that actually like working and are not MISERABLE at work and feed the patients with negativity. COMMING TO MCI AT BLOOR IS NOW A PART OF PTSD. I hope somethings change for 2024. -5 ☆☆☆☆☆

Unethical, unprofessional, and uncivil receptionist. She came out lashing at the waiting patients outside the door of the clinic. She raised her eyebrows and waived her hand around to shoo us away. 1. There were 4 patients that day that waited outside the clinic. There is no sign on the door that says their hours have changed or that the clinic is closed at all. 2. The website and the voicemail of the advertised phone number of the clinic says it's open until 8pm. 3 of the 4 patients attempted to call this number to confirm and the voicemail says it's open until 8pm. 3. The receptionist Maria talked talked down to us like we were scums of the earth, only to tell us that the clinic is closed. No matter how we look, whatever our education level is, whatever our skin colour - this is not an educated way to treat any patient. I cannot believe a company like MCI tolerates this obscene lack of professionalism.

I waited 6 months for a "meet and greet" with a family doctor. For some reason, this had to be an in person discussion. When I finally get to meet with him, he tells me he won't accept me as a patient because he doesn't prescribe the medication I'm on. I offer to handle that prescription elsewhere if need be, still refuses to take me on. Wasted my morning for a conversation that could have been handled over the phone 6 months ago.

INTRODUCTION I'm surprised this place has this many negative reviews. I've been going here for the past 5 years as I couldn't find a family doctor in the area, and frankly stopped trying after a while as they took great care of me. I am only posting this as I'm moving out of the area soon and I'm sad to leave this clinic behind. WAIT TIMES Yes the wait times for walk-in can be long. They usually are at most busy walk-ins. Welcome to Ontario healthcare. And yes they refuse walk-in when the backlog does not allow for more patients unless the doctors stay all night to clear it. This is an Ontario healthcare issue and not unique to this clinic, and not any worse than any other walk-in I've been to, except brand new ones that no one really knows about yet. RECEPTIONISTS The comments about the receptionists are absurd. They have been nothing but friendly and accommodating the entire time I've been here. In 5 years or regularly visiting the clinic, from major incidents to routine bloodwork and prescription renewals, I have not had a single negative experience with them. Not a single one. Do bad receptionists exist in this world? Of course. But they are few and far between, not at this clinic, and in my experience it is usually rude, demanding, and disrespectful patrons who complain about the receptionists. I have also very rarely waited more than a couple minutes before my call was picked up, and I'm sure it has happened but I can't even remember a time I called and it wasn't picked up. COVID This clinic handled the pandemic with grace. They adapted quickly to the requirements and regulations, and applied appropriate measures for the safety of their patients. They transitioned quickly to a tele-health model, and for matters that required in-person visits, they made the necessary accommodations. I had numerous telehealth appointments, and went to the clinic multiple times during the pandemic when it was required. Not only that, they saw me multiple times for the same issue in-person in a short duration when they felt it was necessary. DOCTORS As with any doctor and any clinic, it's always a mixed bag. There are good, attentive, detail-oriented doctors. And there are revolving door doctors who want you in-and-out. My experience here with the doctors that weren't as attentive was never explicitly negative. It was clear they were overworked, yes, and not as attentive as some other doctors, but the vast majority of the doctors I saw in the last 5 years were incredibly patient and attentive, and as you can probably tell, I provide way too much detail and edited to fit the review wordcount, yet they were still more than understanding and happy to listen. They have happily refilled prescriptions over the phone, seen me in person when required, provided documents when requested, ordered necessary tests, at times above and beyond what is typically ordered if they felt your rationale was valid for requesting it, and sent out referrals for important matters. I have no complaints about the nurses as well, they were always friendly and pleasant to interact with. CONCLUSION I am honestly bummed that I have to move and won't be able to go to this clinic anymore. They have been fantastic to me over the past 5 years, and did an incredible job taking over for my family doctor. I have been to bad clinics, in fact I was a patient at one for almost a decade. I know how horrible that experience can be, and this clinic is not that. They treated everything appropriately, from routine appointments to major sub-emergency incidents. In some ways I'm glad the rating was so low during my time visiting, given they're overworked and could use a break, and the rating may cause some patients to go elsewhere thus clearing up the queue. But if you're a respectful and patient person who needs medical assistance, don't be dissuaded by the rating. The clinic is fantastic. And like any walk-in, be there early, avoid lunch hour and end of day, call to check if you're concerned about the queue, and go to emerg for immediate, serious, and time-sensitive matters.

Absolutely the worst walkin clinc ever! Went in they say a 2 hr wait you can walk around and come back. Set a timer come back in, came back and now a 45 min wait! Took a card and called back in 40 min to see my place in the queue. They said they already called my name. I would have to come back in just to put my name in the queue and wait again! Absolutely the biggest joke of a dr office and walkin clinic. DO NOT bother going here. Should be zero stars

This office is very fast, efficient and very helpful. They took great care of me, gave me good quality medication, and I was in and out very quickly. I’m from Ottawa and I wish we had clinics like these everywhere in Canada. The staff were very polite, informative and helpful even though there were 10 people in line they took care of everyone quickly. Thank you for your service, y’all the best may god bless all the staffs and the Doctors.

I wish I had seen these reviews before coming here. Believe all the bad reviews. The staff is easily the rudest you will find. Waiting times are in excess of 90 minutes and they will never tell you. It's haphazard, totally disorganized, unfriendly and hostile. I have never had such a bad experience at any clinic. In any country. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

First I have to add that the staff, nurses and the receptionist were awesome 👏 no complaints there. On the other hand there is this Ayman Al-Arabi, I wouldn’t refer to him as a doctor. He is one of the worst persons I’ve encountered in my life. He made fun of my condition with horrible sarcasm . Dismissed it as nothing and didn’t look at it for more than 2 seconds. Also he didn’t hear my second problem he said “this isn’t an all stop shop” and I need to come back another day for it.I had waited 4 hours to see a doctor that day. I guess he does this so he can get more 💵 . I went to a real doctor two weeks later and guess what it was Stage 1 cancer but fortunately for me the tumor is very small and has not spread or only have a tiny bit of spread in a nearby lymph node which is completely curable. I will make a formal complaint after I deal with my situation. STAY AWAY.

Went to this walk in complaining of dizziness ear pain and needed to see a dr. Walking w a cane I am already not the most stable walking and the dizziness is troubling. Was turned away because they were full. Hardly any in the wait room and it was just bearly 1 pm. Don't go. Find people that want to be drs and practice medicine.

NOT a Walk in. Appointments only and not taking new clients. Desk Clerk was absolutely useless and not accommodating, doesn't answer phones and wasted people's time and money. (In Response to the Owner) You couldn't pay me to contact you or come back to that poor excuse for a doctor's office. Perhaps you should pay more attention to the MANY similar 1 star reviews/experience that I had. Change your rules and hours, stop wasting sick people's time.

I had a great experience here! Went in to the walk in clinic on a Sunday at 10:15 (one of the only open clinics on Sunday!) and they gave me an appointment time of 11:15 I sat in the waiting room and was actually called in at 10:45. Quick and easy, doctor, nurse and receptionist were all very friendly and helpful!

Dr. Ayman Al-Arabi is your guy if you want a doctor who - CONSTANTLY talks over you and never lets you speak more than two words at once - asks you questions and never allows you to answer them - cuts off all your questions with answers that have nothing to do with what you are trying to ask - tells you to stop taking the only medication with any scientific evidence to aid you in healing from a life-altering illness without offering any backup option, basically telling you to leave your fate in the hands of God Otherwise avoid him at all cost. Stay the heck away from this clinic altogether just to make sure.

Was in today with an appointment I had booked 3.5 hours prior to my arrival. When I saw the doctor she asked no questions, told me I had a condition beyond the scope of the visit (my skin clearly has an infection - why are we discussing dermatitis? I was there for a massive lump in my neck!) then prescribed me the two antibiotics my family doctor had prescribed to me two weeks earlier. I felt beyond rushed the whole appointment despite not being spoken to, looked at , or properly examined… AT ALL - when I was handed my script and tried to ask a question I was told: “I gave you an antibiotic.” Before she walked out and closed the door behind her. 3.5 hours of waiting for an appointment which I told them was to decide whether I needed the emergency room or not… and I was instead handed more of the same pills I told her had already not worked. I came to this clinic in a time of anxiety and in need of help and it was made very clear to me that this doctor couldn’t care less and would not be providing her services as a medical professional beyond signing an Rx. Worst bedside manner I have ever seen. Would not recommend this clinic for any pressing, concerning, or important matters - they’ll brush you off as they have me & all the other commenters. Go literally anywhere else - including the 15 hour waits in the ER.

Regrettably, my experience was far from satisfactory. Unfortunately, I didn't read any reviews before visiting this walk-in clinic, despite my college health insurer's recommendation. To compound the situation, I discovered that the clinic isn't even affiliated with my insurance provider, forcing me to manually file claims. Astonishingly, a simple 1-step TB test necessitated four separate visits, a practice that struck me as both unreasonable and frankly, a money grab. Even on better days, the waiting times were extensive. Adding to the inconvenience, their internet was down twice during my visits, further exacerbating the delays. The location itself can be described as questionable and unappealing; my wife even witnessed an incident involving a shoplifter on one occasion. I'd strongly advise fellow students to steer clear of this clinic.

The worst medical office in all Toronto. And I lived here for over 10 years. In particular Maria at the front desk she’s a total witch. She feels superior to everyone and loves to have the feeling that your health is in her hands and especially her mood! FIRE HER!

Receptionists are horrible: 1. they are rude that they feel they are in a powerful position in charge of your appointment during the pandemic instead of trying to be helpful. 2. they are always in a hurry that they won’t even let you finish your sentence and even lost their temper when you ask for more questions, no manners at all 3. I have no idea how can they find a job in an industry where kindness and empathy are of great importance, those receptionists are definitely ruining the clinic’s reputation among patients

Went to this clinic first thing in the morning (Dec. 12, 2022) and was taken care of promptly! The two nurses I dealt with and the doctor were all pleasant. The waiting rooms were clean. Was in and out in about 30 minutes tops. Clinic visits are never fun, but I've had far worse experiences in my life. I don't believe all the 1-star reviews, totally unfair. Be one of the first people in line in the morning and you won't have to wait long at all. I would definitely come back here if needed.

Even after a friend of mine told me countless times about how terrible this facility is when it comes to serving immigrants, I have gone there anytime me or my little son were unwell. The nurses have served me promptly with excellent customer care. But on one exceptional occasion I had an ailment and after seeing the doctor he advised me not to rush and buy the prescribed medication because he thought it would heal without medication and secondly it was expensive if I am not on insurance. I was so impressed because not many doctors would give you such an option.. thank you so much mci bloor and yes I healed without meds

I was called and imformed that Dr. Brian Leong-Poi left a note that I need a follow-up ultrasound in 6 months. He did NOT say I need follow-up appointment with him before the ultrasound. However, the phone line operator refused to ask the doctor for requisition and insisted that I need to get another appointment just for the requisition. The operator's name is Aurelia, and she claimed that this is company policy. Either the operator or the policy is just insanely unreasonable. Am I supposed to get another appointment and walk in to the doctor's office just for a requisition form??? Will give 0 star if possible.

This used to be a good office. I was a patient there since 2016 and they lost their psychiatrist and the family doctors. They are so rude now and talk over you if you ask for clarification or try to provide information. Not to mention they didn't tell any patient that their family doctor quit and they have to go to the office every month to get refills. Refills on medications that have been taken for years. There is no point in trying to get help with these people anymore. It's a shame.

I decided to leave my comment here as well. It's a walk in clinic and during high flu season there are a lot of people of course. It's my go to walk in clinic in neighbourhood, I know that its a long wait, I come in the morning, take my number and go home. When I call to check on what number is on now, they always answer and I always know approximately when come back. I had good experience with doctors and prescription medicine, this part is very fast. I can imagine how it can be frustrating to wait all this time inside the clinic, but its everywhere in Toronto now. I give 5 stars, as if you know that it's works this way, there is nothing to be disappointed about. its my neighbourhood walk-in, I know they will eventually see me during the day and I will be taken care off, sooner or later.

Horrifying lack of professionalism at this clinic. I had a dedicated GP here, it was more like a cattle call. I'm now working on an entirely different approach to my healthcare provider. Our public health system is in serious trouble, this administrative incompetence cannot be excused for the pandemic for any longer.

Possibly the worst doctors office. The receptionists are animals and talk to you like you have an iQ level of 0. I’ve had them talk over me before I’ve even answered their questions and had phones put down on me before I could even say “thank you goodbye” they don’t do physicals and just refer you to other people. Dangerous to think people put their health in these peoples hands because they have such a lack of duty of care.

I give 4 stars 🌟 because no body is perfect 👌🏽 Staff [front desk] is incredibly friendly, helpful, respectful, Doctors are caring, they go thoroughly with your visit, and follow up. Nurses are caring and follow doctor's procedures. Environment is clean, a bit crowded because there's a walking clinic combine but when you have an appointment it goes accordingly. Thanks MCI 😊

Went to the clinic at 4pm (it closes at 5pm) on a Sunday in hopes of seeing a doctor about an earache (I have a history of ear infections). I was hopeful about seeing a doctor when I saw the waiting room was empty. And then I was told the doctor left at 3pm (no explanation was provided whether or not the doctor left due to an emergency situation).

I wish I could give them 0. I went there with a panic attack and physical symptoms and the doctor refused to even examine me. He spent 2 minutes with me and suggested to go to ER. This is the worst walk-in clinic I’ve ever been in.

Refused me OHIP coverage because my health card was expired. Even though on the government website it says it's valid for nearly 6 more months. Reception got snippy with me when I was questioning them on it and asking why their policy conflicts with the Ministry of Health. Do yourself a favor and if you live near one of these offices. Opt for a further clinic instead. Where you'll actually get taken care of! Not only that but prior to the visit at the office. I had a phone consultation where I was rushed off the phone with a prescription but no medical advice whatsoever. Wish I could give 0 stars

They wont let me see a doctor because I have a covid symptom (diarrhoea). what's the point of doctors if they wont see patients that are sick? They should wear a mask since those "work" apparently.

In addition to the long wait times (which I can't really fault them for it's just the high demand for doctors) they make me feel rushed. I've contacted them online to get prescription refills 3 times in the last year and each time they have rushed me through, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and with questions still unanswered. Their web UI is a little confusing and not intuitive or polished either. Considering that COVID has forced a lot of business to shift online, it's not a good look for them. I guess if you're looking for an easy way to get a refill prescription, they get the job done (albeit messy and slow).

I would give it one star, but the doctor that I met before was polite, but today I was there and I met with a Dr. Marcus, I believe.. a short doctor with curly hair. He was rude and passive aggressive to me for no reason. I dont understand what I did to the guy. If he is having a bad day, dont take your frustrations on the innocent injured or sick patients.

Really bad. Didn’t ask the reason for my visit. Waited hours while they took 6 other people who checked in after me. I brought it up w the reception who just said you’re on the list while on a personal phone call. No mask requirement. Waiting area is is mismanaged and chaotic.

called to check if my test result is ready but only got yelled at by one of the receptionists...the receptionist sounded super irritated...honestly if you don't mean to help and you don't have the patience, you may need to change your job. no patient should deserve to be treated rudely.

I had a great experience at this clinic. Both doctors I encountered at this facility were professional, empathetic and good listeners. The front desk staff were polite and kind. As soon as my results arrived, I received a call. I’m thankful for the service provided.

I had a positive experience with this location. The only issue was that there were not seeing patients face-to-face. I found this out only after going to the office itself. The receptionist who explained the procedure was courteous. Thereafter, a phone consultation was arranged with a doctor and requisitions were sent to the imaging center (I'd had a fall and x-rays were needed to see if there was internal damage). I then received a follow-up call when they got my results. All-in-all, everything I expected from the establishment.

Completely negligent office and unprofessional. I had an appointment for over a month with the gynaecologist. They called to confirm, yet when i got there, the appointment was cancelled without any notice. My only option is to reschedule another month. I am unable to speak with the doctor regarding my medical concerns/ condition and am left without a physician. This is malpractice in my opinion.

Deeply disappointed. I came to this clinic after days of debilitating stomach pain, nausea, headache, and bloody diarrhea. The wait time was not bad, but everything else was. When I saw the doctor, he asked if I had a fever, and I said that I didn't own a thermometer but felt very feverish and warm. He did not take my temperature. He told me not to drink Gatorade as it was "too high in sugar" and drink water or Pedialyte instead, but said I "seem like a healthy person" and referred me for a stool sample, which he kept called a "poop test", which was condescending and unprofessional. I had to go to the the emergency room less than 24 hours later because I was dehydrated and had a fever. The doctors at the hospital said Gatorade was completely fine to drink. If the doctor had taken my condition seriously I think it is likely I could have avoided a visit to the ER. It also was unnecessary to instruct me to purchase Pedialyte. I was told the tests he referred me for would have results back in 2-3 days-- it took a full week for the clinic to call me and by this point I had already received a diagnosis from the hospital (via the same diagnostic test he referred me for). Overall, unprofessional, incompetent, and dangerously negligent. Nobody should go here.

Extremely terrible service! Don't go here if u don't want your time t ok get wasted, I called to see what number were they calling I was told its 25, my number is 27, so I was told I can come to the clinic, I arrived 2 minutes after the call coz I live nearby I could see the number being served is stil 25 so I waited for My number to be called. They started calling names instead of number so not.sire what's going on, I still waited as they haven't change the number 25 on the stand. I waited for1 hour ans when I asked the reception she checked ans she found it something wrong so she said I'm.next, she didn't bother to explain why I wasted my time waiting because of their efficiency why the hell they stopped calling numbers and why They never change the number currently being serve those receptionist are inefficient
