Clearly... People often mention nice, beach,

I have been passing the station on all sides, but last time in January I stopped. I become fully aware of something as a fact, that this structure was standing here for over hundred years with winds blowing, sun scorching, sand grains crashing, water flooding, bugs eating and overtime decay. Clearly stands out, not only as a building on the empty beach, or as monument for local people, history of the neighbourhood, but above all, as a reminder of women and men who saved thousands of lives. In my mind, it is the east-end gateway into memories, ingrained icon, illuminating beacon for the living. Stop by, worth the effort.

On a nice beautiful day, this is a nice park/beach to go to. Located just a few steps from the busy streets of shops. You can get lunch and then head down and enjoy the nice breeze and sunny sands beside the boardwalk. Sands are nice and soft. City staff do a great job maintaining the areas. If you prefer to stroll, there's the Martin Goodman trail just beside it.

I went here to walk the boardwalk while the light festival was on and it was so pretty! It was nice to have a chance to clear my head and take some pictures of winter. It’s also nice having a beach so close to the city.

Iconic....hard to find any written history or history book about this part of Toronto WITHOUT a photo of this lifeguard station. I grew up in this neighbourhood. Brings back a ton of good memories. If you've never been, you must go, just to make memories of your own that will also last a lifetime....

Walked the beach and board walk today and so many people passing by the lifeguard station. Perfect day for a walk and no wind, temps great for January. Over the Friday that just passed and waves 4 to 5 feet high. I've never ever seen that in all the years I have spent on this beach.

Leuty Lifeguard Station is an interesting spot that is close to the Kew Gardens and a restaurant. It is the quieter section to The Beaches. It is where the lifeguards launch their boats. It was nice to see how they go out for the day. They use rowboat to get to their stations from there. Nice area to take photography of Lake Ontario. Some Muskoka Chairs are set up to enjoy. I had seen people doing polar dips in the winter as it is a nice sheltered spot to enjoy. For dogs - a fenced dog area is right by the station so your dog can get some exercise. Enjoy the spot when the fog rolls in to the waterfront. Nice place to also see the sunrise.

Yes, it is that simple! A lifeguard station with a history of over 100 years if you read the plaque. Lifeguards stationed here at Kew Beach have been credited with saving over 6,000 lives. That's amazing! The City of Toronto designed this place as an Ontario Heritage site to mark its beginning back in 1920.
