Was really excited to try this place but the prix fixe tasting menu was disappointing. Definitely wouldn't recommend it if you have more than 2 people, as you'd get better value just ordering a la carte. For 3 people, we were given 8 extremely small courses (1 small oyster, one slice of bread per person is each considered a course) + 2 orders of the dessert, where the dessert was the most filling thing all meal. I'm pretty sure that what we got would've been 30% cheaper if we just ordered the same things a la carte. While all dishes tasted pretty good and it was creative (my favorite was the Iberico pork), we left still very hungry and unsatisfied that we had to get another full meal in Kensington market after. Service wasn't the best either as they seemed understaffed. They got my friend's drink order wrong at first and it took a long time to get our bill.

Got the opportunity to try their collaboration with their sister restaurant Patois for these limited edition night market cup noodles! I was SO impressed with these. Everything was flavourful, this was so easy to put together and obviously looked phenomenal. I loved the Caribbean flavours they brought to this meal and how they made simple cup noodles into one of the best things I’ve had in a while!

The kind of neighbourhood spot that every neighbourhood should have. It's like a little jewel box on the second floor above Patois. Excellent service, inventive cocktails, and an interesting wine list to go along with delicious food. Prix fixe menu is the way to go, if you are doing a full meal. If you just want a snack, order a cocktail or a glass of sparkling wine, plus a bowl of the amazing french fries.

My partner and I absolutely loved our dining experience at bar mignonette. The food was amazing, the service excellent, and the atmosphere is beautiful, cozy and intimate. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the food and wine they serve. We will back for sure!

The atmosphere, service and prix fixe meal was of the highest quality. We enjoyed every part of the meal — from the simple bread and uni butter (very unique) to the fresh oysters, yellowtail tuna crudo and jumbo black tiger shrimp — a great start to the meal. The Maitake mushroom, iberico pork, truffle fries and asparagus with roe were simply divine. Everything was decadent and rich. Top it off with a fresh rhubarb Palova and it was the the perfect ending. I can’t wait to return and try the other menu offerings. Everything was delicious.

I recently tried the take out meal for two. There are 6 different dishes and it is phenomenal. There are definitely leftovers! The quality is incredible and there's no way you could do this all on your own. With restaurants closed in the city, it's a great way to feel like you're out having a fancy meal!! I would highly recommend it!

I really enjoyed the food - so much umami (from the ginger sauce on the tuna crudo all the way to the mayo that came with the fries). My faves were the tuna, steak tartare and the only dessert on the menu, the choux. The space was nice and cozy - but might feel a bit tight if every table was taken. It was a perfect spot for an early date night for me though (sat right when they opened). I would definitely consider dining again. Service was also friendly.

Went last minute and they were able to seat me right away on a Friday night! The tuna crudo was super flavourful (super gingery) loved it and the dessert was delicious! Such a cute spot for dinner, or appys or just drinks! I can’t wait to go back and try the spring leeks!

Located on the second floor of its sister restaurant, Patois, we were so happy to finally visit Bar Mignonette. Chef Craig Wong is a master of crafting out savoury dishes and Bar Mignonette did not disappoint! The ingredients were fresh and every single dish was amazing. The pan roasted chicken and the dessert Choux à la Crème were definitely to die for.

Finally for the chance to check out this place and it did not disappoint. Located on the second floor, cute and intimate. I'm sure when the weather is warmer, the patio will open up. The menu list is simple, and i think gives all reason to order everything on it! Came with a friend and ordered more we can handle. But hey, why not! Everything we had was fresh, rich , flavourful and memorable. Nothing can go wrong to start it out with a dozen oysters; so fresh , crisp and sweet. The Beef tartare was a tease of what we were going to expect, the best was the paired skyflakes crackers (those were nostalgic) . Oh man, the roasted bone marrow was the cherry on top and we were just getting comfortable. The gravy that came on the bone marrow was so deliciously rich, but I did wish there was something to dip it with. My favorite dish was haddock schnitzel , OMG that just melted in my mouth and the radish slaw (WOW and yes pls) . Also had the bone-in pork chop that could have fed 4 adults -- the meat was incredibly tender and well balance with the sauerkraut . Looking forward to coming back again. It was a bit short staffed that evening, but none the less the service was superb and handled it well during busy hours!

Went here for my engagement dinner in September 2022. It was one of the best meals I’ve had and by far the best service I’ve received. They gave us the best table in the house and complimentary champagne to celebrate our engagement. We ordered the fixed price menu and they added a few extra touches to make it extra special. Also made superb drink recommendations. I really hope the restaurant re-opens soon!

Had a great birthday dinner at Bar Mignonette. I highly recommend going with their prix fixe menu and wine pairing. Every dish was so flavourful and the drink pairings complemented them so well. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall a great dining experience and excited to come back!

I love seafood so I'm always so excited when a seafood restaurant comes to our poor landlocked city. Thank goodness for Bar mignonette! The shrimp burger is my absolute fav, crispy shrimp patty that is so juicy, soft bun , everything you could want. The crab stuffed bun is killer, the Bibb salad is awesome, a creamy dilly dressing that I want on everything. They had one rendition that came with hot smoked slamon that was so so good. I really want the seafood lovers dinner, follow them on instagram because they are always posting new stuff!

Tried their special collab with Barber Shoppe. Did not disappoint. Beautiful mesh between traditional Chinese dim sum flavours and french buttery pastry. Can't wait to try their other menu items.

If you like Patois, you’ll love Bar Mignonette. Hard to do seafood that travels home well but they have it figured out. Everything was solid and really enjoyable. Highlights are the coco bread + crab, popovers and the shrimp!

A very nice date spot with a balcony looking over the main street. We only stopped in for a drink but got a serving of their oysters and we're very surprised with the high end Parisian decor and michelin worthy seafood menu items. Definitely coming back again to try more things when we come back to Toronto.

Absolutely love this restaurant. They have super amazing seafood options and top notch cocktails. Can’t wait for them to open and to snag a seat on their Dundas West rooftop patio.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a scrumptious Lobster Lovers Feast from Bar Mignonette, and we were so happy we discovered this gem! We loved every item on the menu; my favourite was the stuffed lobster, and husband really enjoyed the crabfest mac n’ cheese. The food was delicious even after a 20-30min drive so I can only imagine how much better it would be to dine in! We look forward to visiting the restaurant in person once the pandemic is over!
