I booked the restaurant for a private event (birthday party). The owner Kamran was very helpful and made it all possible! Food was great, service was great. We were able to bring a Mariachi band, do a samba show, put our own music, dance and have fun! The guest loved every minute of it and were very pleased with the food and the service as well. Great quantity of food and delicious! Will definitely keep the place in mind for any future private events.

The place is cute with a big back room. They were smart to get various events (such as kids magic shows & other adult events), as the food is far from impressive. We were excited over the descriptions and pictures online, it also looked good when we got it, but at the end it looked much better than it tasted. The following were OK (wouldn't order it again but if i had to eat then then ok: loaded nachos, surf & turf taco, cajun cod, avocado toast (barely any avocado was smeared on, as if i got buttered toast and not an avocado toast). The rest are a BIG NO: smoked duck (very dry), corn fitters (oily with barely any corn between all the dough), crispy tofu taco, grilled veggie taco, taco taco tofu (COLD, seriously? cold tofu taco?), butternut squash. Both, butternut squash & taco tofu, had little hard pieces that felt like rock, and the first bite hurt (as I don't expect to chew on rocks). The only common thing between them was the bean salsa (i assume they are using dry beans and really under cooked it this time, either way, only get if you have dental coverage). Daiquiri tasted like over sweetened syrup that was poured into a glass and then water was added (not even properly mixed) - save your money and don't get. THERE WERE 2 things I would recommend, the Steak&mushroom taco, and then the bill. Don't know how this place got so many good reviews, maybe the management changed and hence the decrease in stars for on the latest reviews?

When I walked into the restaurant I was a bit confused since the inside had tables with random stuff lying around, but then the manager (or owner?) appeared and explained that the restaurant was new. I ordered combo A: 2 surf and turf tacos, a side, and drink for $12. The tacos were very fresh, and were very full with ~4-6 oz of meat each. There was both lean and fatty pieces of steak, and around 3 shrimps per taco- perfect for meatlovers. There was also guac in these tacos. If you prefer a lighter taco, it's best to check out the other options. The corn fritters were served with spicy mayo, and were very light and crispy - obviously freshly made. They were not salted so the mayo was essential. They also have vegan/vegetarian options if you're into that. Edit: they also didn't charge tax The owner/manager was very polite (gave me a lot of napkins), and the prep cook greeted me as well - good customer service! A new must-try in Kensington market!

Good open mic sessions on that Thursday though the space can be rearranged to accomodate ppl walking in front of the performers to get to the backroom or the bathroom. The atmosphere and music made it a great vibe. Nice patio. The food was a fusion of Mexican, Indian and north american - it was subpar. I had snacks and the corn fritters were good but my friends' one was uncooked and was returned. The food also took very long to be served; a little bit disorganized. The Pina Colada was fine but the waitress said it would come in a pineapple but it was in a glass mason jar instead, meh.

Omg!!!!! the food and drinks here was the best I've had. BEST TACOS ever!! The surf and turf tacos and corn fritters was my favorite. You need to come here and eat. You will not be disappointed. On top of the amazing food, the service was excellent. We didn't have reservations but they still accommodated us. Definately will recommend this spot to all my friends. You definatrly won't be disappointed.

The service was friendly but the food was horrible. The tortilla was dry and grainy, and the duck was chewy because the fat wasn't rendered properly. Overall, the smoked duck taco is not worth trying for $6.5. The corn fritters were terrible. It was soggy and raw on the inside and the uncooked batter was oozing out. I wouldn't recommend this at all. *edit* the owner did provide a refund and was very nice about it as well.

We hosted our wedding after-party at the moonlight lounge. It was incredible! The service was excellent— the staff were so helpful and the lighting and photo station were awesome. It was great vibes all night. The drinks were so fun too! We really enjoyed it!

Had the best time here. The service was amazing from the second we got seated, and the food was delicious and very affordable. They had a great drink menu (also affordable) with tones of cool cocktails and slushes and even some unique ciders and canned drinks!! Would highly recommend this place - I believe our servers name was Luan and he was AWESOME. Would 100% recommend this place for grabbing some tacos and drinks with friends and hope to be back soon!

I hosted my 30th birthday here last weekend and the venue was 10/10. The drinks were reasonably priced, the sound system was great (and loud) and we appreciated being able to play our own music over bluetooth. Everything was setup when we arrived and we didn't have any issues. The staff were great and the bartender kept pace with our 80 guests throughout the night. Luan and the staff responded quickly to all my questions leading up to the event (I had a lot) and returned my damage deposit to me 2 days after the event. I will definitely host another event here in the future and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great value venue downtown.

Their first back room event, the Midnights Taylor Swift dance party ($20 ticket), was a good start— I couldn’t tell it was their first event until it was announced! It was very wholesome 😊. There were cute details to elevate the event such as a Photo Booth, Tay stickers, glow sticks, and signature cocktails. I’d say at its busiest, it was probably 60% full which might not seem ideal but it was nice to have a larger dance floor;). The entrance to get in was the epitome of sketchy to the point of being comical. The entrance was behind a restaurant so you had to go through a side alleyway that was completely dark with ominous beats getting louder as we neared the door. It ended up being fine and a motion sensor light came on. I thought I’d die but I didn’t (which is good as the party was “sooooo fun”). The only drawback was that the DJ looked like he hated his life (lol!). Granted, you’re playing for a bunch of 20-something year old women living their ‘22’ fantasy but it wasn’t the best when I glanced over at him and saw a man that looked like he had regretted every decision he’s ever made. This wasn’t ~really~ an issue however as I feel I looked like that when I worked jobs I didn’t love. However, this unfortunately affected the music quality. It felt more like a pre-set playlist consisting of 1989, Reputation, Lover, and Midnights (I guess the old Taylor couldn’t come to the phone), rather than actually making music by using transitions, mixing/juggling, loops, etc. (do I sound like a try hard/ how bad is it?). It would be nice to check this place out in a couple months to see it’s developments. I could tell the two women running it tried really hard. They, and all the patrons, were incredibly amiable. Thank you for a great time!

I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price and the big portion of food served. These tacos are not the usual small-ish tacos served at Mexican food trucks in the States, they are bigger and LOADED. Very filling and yummy. The combination of ingredients went very well. The staffs were lovely and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant. Will come back to try other items on the menu for sure.

Visited Oct 22, 2021. Went on their thursday open Mic night. The restaurant had a great vibe and everyone was having a great time. Service from staff was great and prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend getting one of their taco combos and trying the cod taco, shrimp taco or the surf and turf one!

We rented the back of the place which is a massive party room for our wedding and it was amazing! From the venue to the catering service everything was incredible, staff was super friendly and willing to help. Food is great, prices as well, for sure an amazing place to go.

We went there last night during open mic night and it was an incredible atmosphere! Music was great, and the food, specifically the cod fish and tandoori chicken, were fantastic. Would recommend to anyone to try this place

Ordered 3 vegan butternut squash tacos for take-out yesterday and it was ready within 10min. Tortillas were warm and fresh. A great vegan option that's very flavourful and filling. Looking forward to trying the other veg dishes.

I attended an event in the back yesterday and it was a great atmosphere. The ambience was amazing and staff were very friendly too. Drinks were reasonably priced and catered food was great to snack on. I'd look to have my next event with them!

Taco Taco was simply the best Mexican fusion cuisine I’ve had experienced. They have unique tacos with rich flavors and unbelievable prices. The ambiance is very much full of life and very cozy. There are always events happening and it just makes the place even more enjoyable and fun. I’m always coming by and I’ll continue to do so because, Taco Taco is now one of my favorites 😍 I highly recommend it.

Bad Tacos - Crispy Tofu Taco and not worth the money. Tortilla was cold. Salsa felt like it was store bought, cheese was also the worst kind. The taco had no real flavor. Corn Fritters - Horrible. It was some corn kernels in fried dough. They really need to look at their recipes and question if they would eat this. Duck taco was also bad and tasted funny. Worst part is I saw the guys working hard in the kitchen and the rest of them on their phone. I am just upset that I am $31 out and I had such a horrible experience. It indicates lazy low effort food that is not worth your hard earned money.

We had a great experience the other weekend but we waited a long time for the food. There was an event going on in the back and I think that caused the kitchen to be slammed - several of our party members waited over an hour for main courses to arrive. Mine didn't take that long (Pizzazilla) so I can't complain. Staff are great, food is reasonably priced and it's an overall good vibe. I'm not docking any stars because your staff went above and beyond, given the resources available, and I've adjusted my expectations since we're in a pandemic - keep up the great work, guys.
