I booked my very needed appointment as ive been in not the best shape for 10 months, and about an hour away from any doctor. told them this, they still canceled my appointment 10 minutes after booking it. Ended up having to book with a different company and doctor for a further away date. My fiance has also used rocket doctor and was told to see his gp for the referral he wanted. If it was easy for him to get to his doctor he would have. Not impressed with this company. Had high hopes.

For starters, if I could leave zero stars, that’s the rating rocket doctor deserves. I sent the form in and at the end of the form, it indicated that a medical coordinator would be calling me “in a few minutes” to book an appointment. That was almost 2 hours ago. I filled out another about a half hour later and still no response to that form either. When someone is suffering from covid and needs medication for it, you need to deal with this quickly. I am now more inclined to just go get my Tylenol myself, even though I have covid, but it beats waiting on this nonsense and all the while, I am suffering in pain. Your service is terrible.

I want to share my experience with Rocket Doctor as I am aware of so many people who are having issues accessing medical help not only due to Covid -19 but also due to not having an assigned physician through no fault of their own. I am a 65 year old woman who for most of my life enjoyed the care of a wonderful doctor who of course eventually retired. I waited for years for a new doctor having filled out all of the Ontario wait list forms to little avail. During this time I had to go to walk in clinics or hospital emergency wards sometimes for simply having a prescription refilled. Three years ago I was finally assigned a Doctor but short of two years later he left his practice and I was once again orphaned. I am fortunate to have good health , however I am on a blood pressure medication which I have been on half my life. I was next to having no medication but could not find anyone to prescribe a renewal. After trying 4 clinics in the area with no success and unfortunately some rude responses, my only option was to go and sit in emergency for 8 hours during Covid-19 which I refused to do. Using an emergency hospital for prescription renewal is in my opinion not good use of medical services. I was about to make the unwise decision and just discontinue my medication, knowing the risks I would face. I then was told about Rocket Doctor and although discouraged I decided to try this service. My experience was incredibly positive. I filled out their user friendly referral form and immediately received confirmation that I would hear from someone shortly. Within 3 minutes I was called by a patient coordinator and after taking some information I was told I would receive a call from the Doctor between 1pm and 2pm. At 5 minutes after 1 I received a call from the Doctor who was extremely compassionate. He expressed sympathy for the frustration I had experienced, was thorough and asked a number of questions to ensure he could properly assist. He immediately called in a prescription with some refills. My problem was quickly resolved by this service and I couldn't be more grateful. I have since told others about this service and each person has had a quick and professional response to their concerns. This is a valuable service which certainly fills a very big gap in health care for persons without an assigned doctor. I highly recommend this service to anyone who needs to speak with a Doctor.

Truly a wonderful service! Since the start of COVID, other than a routine checkup with my GP, I've been using virtual services for medical care - and I had previously used, and really liked, TiaHealth. However, when I woke up one Saturday morning, the day after the huge Rogers outage, with both COVID and what I was increasingly certain was strep throat, Tia had no available appointments anytime soon. I wasn't sure what to do. There is one walk-in clinic near me and it closed at 1pm, and the last thing I wanted to do was bring COVID and strep into a waiting room or worse yet, go to an ER for strep. I found Rocket and was so pleased with the experience. I signed up at 8am and was talking with a doctor at 11am. The coordinators are great, the doc was great. He looked at the photos I'd sent, gave me his opinion and my options, and I had my prescription in hand by 1pm. Overall it was quicker, easier, and felt more competent than most of the walk-in clinic experiences I've had.

Initially very pleased with the process. Called Friday, I needed a prescription refill. Waited 4 hours for the doctor’s call. Everything went well. Went to pharmacy next day (Sat), no Rx. Sunday closed. Monday, no Rx. Tuesday, no Rx. Re-contacted Rocket Doc at 12 noon. . Stayed by phone, no call back till I went to bed. Weds, no Rx at pharmacy. Thursday (today), no Rx. Re-contacted, advised to stay by phone. Going to bed now, no call. Absolutely appalling. Paid $80 for this???!

My experience using Rocket Dr. Was 100 percent positive. From the booking agent….immediate service, patient, friendly and so helpful guiding me through the process. Appointment right on time, Dr was so lovely, walked me through all my symptoms and answered any questions I had. Best experience , above and beyond. Thank you

I have booked a few appointments with Rocket doctor before and had no issues but the only problem is the customer service department. They never answer your call and if you request a call back that takes a while. Yesterday early morning I booked an appointment for 10:00am with a different doctor. Doctor chatted with me and after reviewing my symptoms she said I have a yeast infection and said she was going to fax the prescription to the pharmacy. The pharmacy called me and told me the name of the medicine or the amount is incorrect. They fax it back to the doctor asked for the correct information. It’s been 24 hours no one has responded to my messages, calls or emails. I spoke to a patient care coordinator yesterday and begged her to ask the doctor the send the correct information but the doctor didn’t. Someone just called me and told me the doctor hasn’t responded and she said she can book another appointment for tonight. It’s so pathetic cause it’s clearly the doctor’s fault and she should correct the name. What’s the point of me paying $55 for a service and doctor can’t even write the correct name for the medication. It’s so horrible!

I did a search for walk-in clinics and found Rocket Doctors so I thought I'd give it a try. I contacted them via their website at 9:30 pm or so and received a return call immediately. They took down the information that was not included in my submission on their site and arranged for a virtual appt the next morning. They also gave me the opportunity to send them photos of the issue that I wanted to discuss with the doctor. My scheduled appt with the doctor was punctual and the doctor was very helpful and kind. She took the time to ask me questions and explain the problem and the prescribed treatment. I felt that the doctor and my appt was much better compared to my regular doctor for whom i have to wait well beyond the scheduled time for my appt. I would highly recommend Rocket Doctor if you need to see a dr but not necessarily in person and of course for non-emergency issues.

I was unable to get an appointment with my own Dr for several weeks. Rocket Doctor came up on a search for local walk-in clinics. After filling out the online form with my OHIP info and summary of my complaint, I received a follow up call within a few minutes. I was given a phone appointment time with a Dr for two hours later and was picking up my prescription at my local pharmacy 30 minutes after that. The Dr was very professional and concerned with my complaints and addressed my health concerns well. This was so much better than being in a sitting room for several hours with other sick people.

Have used this service twice and had a great experience. Easy to complete online form, quick callback to schedule sameday appointment and the Physician was prompt. Doctor was very engaged, much better than I've ever received at an actual walk-in clinic. My presc was faxed to my pharmacy of choice and my OHIP was charged, nothing out of pocket. Highly recommend this service.

Rocketdoctor was introduced to me recently by Healthcare Connect to get access to virtual doctor while waiting to get matched with a family doctor. I'm very pleased that it is quick and easy and care coordinators are able to quickly schedule me for a virtual consult within a day with a medical doctor depending on availability. Doctors are very helpful and the only difference is that it is virtual which has now become the norm since COVID. Prescriptions can also be ordered thru Pillway which gets delivered the next day. There are still some flaws for improvement where doctors do not have access to MyChart health portal of Ottawa Hospital so transmission of medical test results sent to Rocketdoctor is not very efficient and most definitely needs improvement. Otherwise, it's fast and easy, Doctors are Ontario licensed and covered by OHIP. A big and serious concern is where are my personal & health information stored with the Call Centre and portal being hosted outside Canada. What are the terms & conditions of the service and data collected? Would be good to understand that as I wouldnt have signed up but I'm also desperate and in urgent need of medical help and advice. Overall, this service should be promoted across Ontario especially those who don't have a family physician which is hard to come by these days.

I was having difficulty breathing in the wildfire smoke that was covering our city. I called the Rocket Doctor to give it a try and was told I could have a same day appointment. I had to go to work so that wasn't possible. I did make an appointment for the next day and the doctor called me right on time, we discussed the options, and he prescribed me a nasal spray that helped me with the breathing. It was a very good experience.

Was skeptical at first since I've not used this service before but it went great and I was able to get the antibiotic prescription I needed for my ear infection (Dr. Xue I believe it was). Only downside was that I wasn't able to get an appointment for same-day - the earliest one available was for the next morning. But for not having to go through the hassle of driving over to a walk in clinic and sitting waiting for 2 hours I'll gladly take that trade-off. If you have something urgent though and need same-day help you may end up having to go to a clinic in person.

This service is brilliant! I avoided going to Outpatients even though I had been sick for 4 weeks because the wait time was about 6 hours and I'd be surrounded by other sick people. With Rocket Doctor, I saw a fully qualified Alberta Doctor the same day from the comfort of my own home. I felt like the Doctor had reviewed my history and questionnaire and was well versed in my medical background. I was extremely appreciative to have a prescription sent directly to my local pharmacy! I can't say enough about this convenient, effective and great service!

I was referred to Rocket Doctor by my local family health team because they couldn’t get me in to the office for a week. I had no prior knowledge that this service (Rocket Doctor) was even available. I followed the steps on the on line form, submitted the form, and a short time later I was called by a coordinator for Rocket Doctor to arrange an appointment for me with a doctor from their team the following morning via video call. The call was very similar to an in person appointment. I was very impressed with the Dr’s thorough questioning regarding my symptoms followed by a clear understanding of next steps. I highly recommend this service.

I have been using Rocket Doctor for a few years and find it extremely efficient. I have had issues finding a doctor after moving and Rocket Doc has become an effective alternative. I am able to consult with the same doctor each visit if I prefer or can use another doc if I'm in a rush. My appointments are usually scheduled within a day or two of my request which is not possible at an in person clinic. The doctor is always professional, takes time to inquire on my health and answers my questions, I never feel like they are rushing me. I will continue using Rocket doctor and have basically given up looking for a family doctor in the city. Rocket Doctor has been amazing, I get a lot of anxiety and stress from having to go to a clinic so this was the perfect option for me. All the Doctor's that I have dealt with have been very friendly, understanding and helpful. Appointments have always been within 24 hours of calling and have been on time, the Doctor's I have spoken with have been very caring and ask questions to make sure your treatment plan is the best that it can be. I have recommended them to lots of friends.

Didn't have to wait hours at a walk in. just booked an appointment and got a family doctor calling you. Seems silly to take a day off work to get prescription refills for visiting private pay parents. This is easy, convenient and a great option for private pay health care when you don't have a health card in Ontario, Canada.

Rocket Doctor is a great service for prescription refills. Our doctor retired and it is difficult to find a new doctor. Going to a walk in clinic is something I did not want to do as I care for an elderly parent and have been super careful about trying to avoid crowded areas and sick people. I needed a prescription refill and was able to chat with a doctor from my home and get a prescription refill. Thank you for the ease of getting a refill from my home.

Thanksgiving weekend I developed a UTI. I tried the pharmacy but they insisted I come in. If you’ve ever had a UTI you wouldn’t ask someone to drive 15 minutes when you are needing a bathroom every 15 minutes! I was suffering from a sinus infection that continued to worsen and with the shortage of healthcare, I was so greatful to have been referred to Rocket Doctor. The co-ordinator was easy to talk to and very efficient made me an appointment in minutes. The doctor on call was wonderful, asked all pertinent questions, wrote me up the necessary prescription and all within the hour I had it and started treatment. Thank you for this service.

I was very apprehensive about using an "on-line" service but when my family Dr. retired I was left with no choice. I searched for a year trying to decide what to do when a local pharmacy offered the services of Rocket Doctor. So I thought what the heck beats driving to the closest city to find a walk in clinic. Well I am sorry I waited. I was very impressed with the prompt service and care I received from Dr. Brian Elder. He listened to what I had to say he ordered the blood tests and renewed my prescriptions. My lab req. was in my mail box in under 30 mins and my drugstore (which was not the sponsoring drug store so you can stay with who is familiar with your prescription needs) called in 1 hour to say they were ready for pickup. This was service my family Dr. never gave me usually it was a week before anything was done. For my results I was able to speak to Dr. Elder for them and he answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. I would recommend Rocket Doctor to anyone who finds themselves in my position of no family doctor and most likely no chance of ever having one again in our rural community. Hats off to this service!

I had a wonderful experience with the Rocket Doctor Virtual walk in service the other day. My son came down with a bad cough and could not get an appointment with our family doctor and the emergencies had a long wait time. That is when one of our friends recommended Rocket Doctor. Didn't have to wait for long ( within couple of hours) to get an appointment and the doctor was fabulous. Even after the appointment was done, he called to check for updates. The prescription was send to our local pharmacy and so had the medicine handy before the end of the day. I do highly recommend Rocket Doctor.

For people without a family doctor, this service is a MUST. Thank you for attending to my concerns quickly, at a convenient time for me, without a 8-12 hour wait in a hospital or walk in clinic.I am 6 hours away from my previous doctor and now without a doctor Both my husband and I have been dealing with cough, fever, runny nose, feeling horrible, but not COVID. I was able to speak with a doctor on the phone the following day and had a prescription at my pharmacy within 2 hours. This service really is the way of the future. I used Rocket Doctor recently for my daughter. The registration and booking of the appointment was easy to do, with a follow up call from them to follow up and let us know when to expect to speak to a doctor. Not only was the Doctor on time, he was thorough and the service we experienced was awesome. In less than 15 minutes, we were done and her Rx was sent over to our local pharmacy. Thank you soo much! I was so pleased with our family’s experience rocket doctor. My son has symptoms that needed to be addressed quickly, outside our family doctor’s hours, but wasn't a hospital worthy situation. A walk in clinic (and their typical wait times) would have been a very difficult experience for my child. After contacting Rocket dr we were able to make a same day appointment, and my child could remain comfortable at home the whole time. The dr we had was extremely helpful, patient, and helped educate my child and myself on the situation and ease my child's anxiety about his situation. He was able to send us a lab requisition via email as well as prescription sent to our pharmacy. He then followed up with us to see how son was doing and give us the test results. The whole time felt so comfortable and not rushed - it felt like a home visit, I wish all doctors would have the option of doing appointments like this. We will definitely use rocket doctor again and highly recommend it to everyone!

I'm often able to get a same-day appointment. All the doctors with whom I've spoken have been really kind and helpful. It's so nice not to have to wait in a waiting room at a walk-in clinic with my three children to see a doctor. I like that there are options for either video conferencing or a telephone call. Rocket doctor has been so helpful during the pandemic. Services like these will undoubtedly change the face of medicine. It doesn't have to be so difficult to see a doctor!

Are used the phone in service with photographs of a problematic abscess, and I got a callback from a knowledgable Doctor Who left me a prescription at my local pharmacy where I live that looked after the problem. This was so convenient and work so well I wish I had known of it before.! Thank you for helping me on Thanksgiving Monday. I had no idea this was out there! Great idea great service.

Like most Ontarians, it’s months to get in to see your family doctor. I just went on to Rocket Doctor and filled out the info they needed. It was super simple and quick. I was able to have a phone consult with a doctor within 24 hrs. I had a prescription that afternoon. Highly, highly recommend.

Don't use this service unless its only for prescription renewal. They pretend to agree to get a doctor for a consultation (other than prescription) but don't follow through. They made agreements to arrange it but with no intention of completing it. When they don't complete what they agree to they also refuse to talk to you about it & never return calls after doing so. I also believe they are vindictive based on how they have handled me. I'd recommend finding a better service.

With the challenges of finding a family doctor, I sought to look elsewhere for other options and came across Rocket Doctor. My experience with Rocket doctor was amazing . I needed prescriptions refilled and since I no longer have a doctor I usually have to go the Emergency Room at the hospital. Rocket doctor called at the time I selected and went through my list of medications . Within the hour I got a call from my pharmacy to say my prescription was ready for pickup .

Excellent. I had a virtual appt earlier in the day with another provider and they made me wait 2 hrs, spent 15 sec on the appt and prescribed the wrong meds for a Lyme disease rash. I made an appt with Rocket Dr (Dr Jabril Dorar) was on time and knew the proper dosage and even suggested i return for Lyme testing at a later date something I hadn't thought of.

Absolutely Disgusted By Rocket Doctor! I'm Struggling With My Mental Health, depression, anxiety, and turned to Rocket Doctor as I haven't been able to get a family doctor and am in desperate need to get short term disability form filled out! The answer can't do it go to the clinic! Which I explained I've tried over and over again! They gave me hope last night saying the doctor wants to talk again about my forms and treatment! Nope he will sign a 2 week sick leave note...

This service is great. For non-emergency same day doctor appointment. I had a sinus infection and couldn’t get in to the local clinic. In the comfort of my home, received a video call with a doctor. My prescription was ordered. Doctor was very thorough! I didn’t use up precious time in the emergency room and stayed safely in my home. Do not hesitate using this service!

This is a great way to deal with a medical problem like I had. Its was easy to set up and a fast fast video appointment. For rural residents its a great way to avoid a long car ride and emergency room wait. I would recommend this to anyone.

Just fill in information on line about your health and your medical concern, and someone calls you within a short while to book the appt with the Dr. The Dr called me back within a couple hours of registering online. Quick response. Doctor was so pleasant and listened to me! I knew what was wrong and he actually believed me. Asked me very useful questions and sent me a requisition the same day for a test. I had to pay but it was worth it since I couldn’t get an appointment with my regular doctor for a couple of weeks. I was able to send the requisition digitally and have my doctor right the prescription without visiting. I will use Rocket Doctor again.

I contacted the Rocket Doctor last week to inquire about a virtual appointment. I was called within a few minutes by a friendly and caring professional screener. She confirmed my details and symptoms and booked an appointment with the doctor within an hour. I received my link to the virtual video appointment immediately. The tech was seamless! The call with the doctor was great. He was caring, personable, and was able to give me a prescription. It was sent to the pharmacy of my choice and within an hour I was on my medication. I could not be more pleased with this service! Thank you Rocket Doctor. Way better than me possibly infecting others in a busy walk-in clinic!

I have had a few appointments with Rocket Doctor, both video and on the phone, I always receive the best service my Dr. Is understanding and listens to me. I am so happy I found Rocket Doctor when I did my health has improved immensely and I know with the care I get from Rocket Doctor it will continue to improve.

Saved me a trip to the emergency department with an expected wait time of 8 hours. I have used Rocket doctor twice when I was not able to get into my regular doctor. I had lab requisitions emailed to me within 5 minutes and a prescription faxed to my pharmacy immediately. The doctor was very thorough and discussed the risks and benefits of the medication, how quickly the medication should take to relieve symptoms, events that could happen that would require immediate attention, and if/when he would contact me based on what the lab results were. The doctor took time to listen to my concerns and answer any questions. I would not hesitate to use this service again. I hope others will use this service for non urgent issues to help take some pressure off our emergency departments so they can quickly and efficiently deal with true medical emergencies.

I’ve used rocket doctor for a few needs and they’ve been quick, friendly, and better yet, they’ve been good doctors who helped me with what I needed. It’s so hard to get in to see a doctor these days in Ontario, let alone for the small stuff, and rocket doctor was just such an easy process.

Very easy to make an appointment, I got a call minutes after submitting an online form, & had an appointment booked for the following business day. The dr was efficient, addressed my concerns, & I received a prescription that day. Will use again when needed!

I had a great experience with Dr. Rasha Salih… she is what all doctors should aspire to be like! Very helpful, someone who will listen to your concern and actually help you. Also had another great experience with another dr based out of Ottawa. Overall this is a great service, customer service is usually fairly prompt when you have an issue.

This was awesome to use. It was the weekend and a lower tooth got infected. It would have cost me too much money to go to my dentist and the infection could not wait until then. I didn't want to wait in the hospital especially with flu season and COVID so I use rocket doctor. My tenant told me about this service and I will use it again.

Unfortunately, I had a poor experience. Rocket Doctor did not send my referral to a clinic. I checked directly with the clinic on the status of my referral after not hearing anything as I could not reach a customer service representative by phone at Rocket Doctor. Rocket Doctor did send the referral after I brought this to their attention but I am now several weeks behind in the process of waiting for an apt. I have had more reliable experiences using Telus Health.

Great experience. Staff were friendly and efficient. Received the diagnosis and prescription I needed without tying up emergency room time. I was a 3 hour drive from my doctor and on a weekend. Rocket doctor saved me a lot of discomfort and time.

I have used a Rocket Doctor several times and it has been easy and the staff has been so helpful. I have had prescriptions renewed and test requisitions done. So grateful to have somewhere to get these things done from the comfort of home.

Required a visit for my son and the local walk in clinic was already full. Booked appointment online, was called within 30 min to set up chart and had appointment for an hour later. Comprehensive assessment via video chat. Was able to get a prescription sent to pharmacy and received email prescription for physiotherapy and X-ray. The physician’s assistant was very thorough in his assessment and my son was reassured after speaking with him. 100% would do it again.

Third time using Rocket Doctor and was excellent experience every time. We usually get a same day appointment...this time it was less than 24 hours , which is great. My son was prescribed antiniotics. He had a difficult time taking them due to sensory issues. I emailed support and told them the siruation. Within 1 hour I got a response saying that the doctor had faxed a new prescription to the pharmacy. I was so surprised at how fast and efficient this service was!

As a mom, it is so valuable to have access to a remote service. Instead of waiting all night to be seen I was able to care for our family and visit with the doctor from my phone. He was able to assess and reassure me that all was well. Thank you for offering this innovative solution for busy families.

I don’t have a family doctor and rocket doctors are great. I needed an appointment and within 3 hrs of calling I was speaking with a doctor. Much better than waiting in emergency room.

The service is available through my local hospital, GBGH, and free of charge to patients in an effort to avoid going to Emerge. I no longer have a GP and needed a prescription refill. I found the service quick, efficient, and overall very good! When personal physicians are not available, this is the way to go. I will use again, when needed. Thank you!

Have used Rocket Doctor twice now when we’ve in a pinch to get in and wanted to avoid long wait times or a month or longer with our family doctor for an appointment. Both experiences have been great so far. The doctors have been thorough, compassionate and so friendly. I’d definitely recommend and continue using this service.

Rocket Doctor was recommended by my local pharmacist when I could not get into my family doctor or the evening clinic for my daughter. I had a great experience starting with the operator who scheduled my appointment for the same day and walked me through the virtual process. The process was very straightforward and easy and I spoke to a doctor that very same evening. The doctor was very thorough, pleasant and professional. He prescribed a medication for my daughter which he faxed to my local pharmacy for pick up and suggested I do a follow up in a week. Overall, it was my first time using Rocket Doctor and I would use the service again and recommend to friends!

Today we did not have good luck with our call. My husband made the appointment and was so happy it was for today! Sadly, he has successfully connected and has been waiting 1 hour and 15 mins without any indication the doctor is coming? Not sure how long we have to wait. Appointment was for 2:40, Feb 13, 2024, Patient PERRY ANDRE, Ottawa, Canada. So far, no luck? No doctor has joined the call.

Great in theory. 45 minutes past appointment time and still waiting. Absolutely no communication and no way to confirm that the actual waiting will eventually result in anything …. And then a call the Doctor has cancelled her clinic and they will rebook with someone else. Not a great experience unfortunately.

I recently used Rocket Doctor to get prescriptions for my children. My family Dr office was closed and I needed to get a prescription as time was of the essence (they needed a vaccine for an upcoming trip). I booked in the AM for Rocket Doctor, and by noon I had a prescription faxed over to my pharmacy. It was quick and efficient. What more could I ask for! I would recommend and use them again :)
