This place has the most magically delicious vegan sushi. It was so good, we went twice in one week vacation to Toronto. We tried 7 rolls and throughly enjoyed them all. Beautiful flavor combinations. Loved the use of mint and crispy bits on top. This is a must stop for those on a vegan tour of Toronto.

If I could, I would give this place Negative Stars. Food should be made with Love and attention and willingness. Tenon Vegan Sushi Lacked All 3!! To start with the most inhospitable service. The Servers are just waiting to close the restaurant and leave. Most Unwelcoming! We reached at 9:20pm still 40 minutes before closing time. The server dumped the menus and a tiny scrap of paper and pen for us to write down our orders. They didn’t even pretend to be Intrested in serving from the start. They fished out the Miso soup within minutes which was Luke warm and tasted stale. The satay dumplings came next which was also cold sauce splashed over the dumplings. The rolls were made in a hurry too and the rice over cooked and thick, making the sushi just taste like boiled bland cold starchy lump. Lastly the sushi pizza came which was still oozing out the excess oil from deep frying. Overall a waste of food resources and money. The attitude of the server was rude and at 9:45 pm he was asking us to pack the food. Which made us feel so insulted. When asked to speak to the manager the server said not to complain as he shall loose his job. I’m reeling with shock at this Vegan sushi place as it’s Owners lack the most important thing about the food industry which is Service. I would never ever go back again. Food should be cooked with Love and attention and not frustration and unwillingness, I do repeat this as it’s the most important aspect of a restaurant. I’m writing a very detailed review as I hope that the management/ owners do respond and make amends in improving their service and quality. I am always very supportive of vegan restaurants and it’s a shame this one is downright unprofessional.

I have ordered from both locations multiple times, the food is always very fresh and incredibly tasty. I missed regular sushi so much since becoming a vegan. Avocado rolls are great, much more variety is even better. Vegan community can not thank you enough for the absolutely delicious sushi in Toronto. Keep up great work!

We meet again sushi pizza! On Boxing Day my family ate here for dinner while the crowd didn’t come yet so the atmosphere was relaxed. My only complaint is the washroom is downstairs so that’s inconvenient for my grandma but the washroom looked clean!

The best sushi place ever! The artificial meat and fish substitutes are tasty and allows vegans to enjoy the sushi experience. The Tom Yum soup is always spicy and fresh. They also serve green tea with the meals. Have been here a handful of times. One of my favorite restaurants in Toronto!

You could have told me this was real fish sushi and I would have believed it - that's how good it was! As someone who's trying to slowly cut meat out of their diet, I really appreciate a place like this one. We had some of the salmon options (red dragon and spicy salmon roll) as well as the Tenon Special. Both were really great! I could go full vegetarian right now if I could eat Tenon Sushi everyday for sure!

So inventive!! Vegan sushi at it’s finest! They do use fake meats, which is such a nice change of pace from just your regular ol’ veggie roll (however they also have veggie rolls and other dishes than sushi!) 1000000% recommend if you’re in Toronto. I forgot to take photos until we were finished, but they still look so good. I think my favorite was the spicy tempura broccoli? But they were all so good!

Awesome vegan sushi restaurant! Everything is vegan so you don’t have to worry about any fish eggs on your rolls. There is some vegan salmon rolls, avocado tofu pocket rolls, king dragon rolls, California rolls, green dragon rolls, sushi pizza, and more. The vegan chicken skewers are maybe a bit pricey for what you get but everything else is worth it! Hard to find parking around here so might be better to walk to.

Pretty good sushi with many vegan options that are harder to come by! Decent portions for the price, and the atmosphere is simple but cozy. Great food for a chilly day.

Wow wow wow. As a vegan, I really really miss sushi. This place blew my mind. I love their spicy salmon. It was unreal. Will def order more from here. Thank you for offering vegan sushi in the city!!

Truly shocked at how good this place is. The food is so tasty and so fresh. I had high expectations from the reviews, but wow is it tasty. I have had vegan sushi at a few places and this is really high up there (potentially at the top) in terms of taste and quality. I am excited about trying way more of their menu items as I’ve only had a limited selection so far, but I’m thoroughly impressed. I will now be looking at having my birthday dinner here, that’s how much I enjoyed it.

Tried vegan sushi for the first time and absolutely loved it. The server was charming and suggested good dishes. We tried the dumplings, pizza and sushi. Highly recommend! Good vibe and nice location.

First time at the Bloor location! So glad to have a all-vegan sushi option downtown. Ordered the kani, caterpillar, spicy salmon, spicy broccoli, and green dragon rolls. The beef yaki udon always stellar and we get it every time. Even though the menu isn't as extensive as their Unionville restaurant, the environment is pretty and comfortable and we really enjoyed our meal.

I typically go to the Markham restaurant but wanted a date in the city. Tenon Toronto was amazing. There were different items on the menu and the portions were just right. (I was worried that because it was Toronto the portions would be smaller) Great food, always. Great, friendly staff, always. I will continue to come back, always.

This place is awesome! There are so many options to choose from. Staff are super friendly and our food came out quickly. The Green Dragon Roll is phenomenal! Loved the textures and I am super content with my order. My friend ordered the Soy Kani Tempura Roll and it was also delicious. Highly recommend going and this will be a regular spot for me :D

Really enjoyed this place! The food was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the Tom Kha soup and the three maki rolls that we got. The artificial meats are good and really hit the spot! I would definitely come back here again, and I highly recommend it for a vegan sushi and Thai food option. The price point is a little high in my opinion—the food pictured was about $70 before tax and tip—but again, very good food!

Not busy at all. Great vegan sushi but quite on the pricy side (I need to ask which vegan salmon brand they purchase from...). The soup didn't have much flavour but I wanted warmth for the winter. This menu is much shorter than the Markham menu, but at least it is all vegan. Very quiet; doesnt seem to make much business during a weekday at lunch time.

Love this place… vegan sushi at its finest! Our new fave place when in the area. We ordered green dragon roll, pad Thai and general tso. Did not like the pad Thai much, but other two dishes were fab

Wow, just wow. Since becoming vegan I’ve only been eating avocado and cucumber rolls and it’s been a bit boring. I was so glad I saw this place and took a chance. It was so nice to be able to order some fun rolls that tastes amazing. If your vegan, or even if your not, order from here!!! It’s incredible.

I tried this place and I was so pleasantly surprised! I had the Green Dragon Roll and the Spicy Salmon roll and wow! It took some getting used to, since it’s the first time I’ve tried vegan “seafood”, but wow, it was so great! Sushi was my favourite food before I went vegan and I’ve missed it so much. This place gives me the chance to eat it again :) The only complaint I have is that I wish they weren’t all the way downtown! But it’s better for my wallet.😜 I will be back and I definitely recommend!

Lovely space with amazing service and taste. Flora, with lovely smile on her face; was really great at suggesting us the dishes. We tried a sweet potato special roll and an avocado cucumber roll. Both were really fresh and good in taste.

Honestly unbelievable. So delicious, fresh, and beautiful. The mock shrimp is indistinguishable from the real thing. Was amazing. The only thing I’d think would be to add more veggie-only dishes like another salad or non fried vegetable. But everything I ordered was perfect. Even with delivery it was perfect.

I love their selection of vegan sushi. And the best one if the Tenon Special roll! So good. My family who is not vegan have also tried it and absolutely loved it.

Went for lunch with a group of 8. Lots of great options. Food by came out kind of randomly. Rather than starters, soups and the mains. Food was fresh. Tasted great.

I couldn’t wait to come here when I saw the sign VEGAN sushi, I said OMG I have to try them they figured it out! I had the non-shrimp and the soy beef teriyaki roll it was so good I forgot to tell them no avocado! So I just pushed it out it a texture thing for me. Anyway If you I like Sushi and no longer eat meat give them a try

Been going for years and I love this place! Party tray A is the best option in my books. Tonight we ordered and Uber was super late in delivering (no fault of Tenon, they prepped it fast and tried to help us w Uber but there were no drivers available for pick up). Anyways, even an hour after being prepared everything tasted so fresh and the tempura in the sushi was still crunchy. Highly recommend this place! Staff are also always lovely.

This place is my recent favourite!! I just love their broccoli sushi! Everything is vegan here.. Must try for all vegetarians or vegans.

Ate here on a Thursday evening. But have also ordered takeout before. Fantastic experience! The food was fresh and came quickly, and our server was polite and helpful :) The menu had an amazing options for sushi, other Japanese dishes, and a robust Thai selection. One thing I really appreciated about the menu was that it had plentiful options but not too many (it was not overwhelming). It also had a decent amount of images to give you an idea of what you were ordering. The restaurant itself had a nice ambience. Clean, well lit, and good seating space. Lots of peanuts and nuts on the menu though (mostly the Thai dishes as you might expect). I assume they would be friendly and accommodating, but still might not be the safest sushi spot if you have severe nut allergies. All in all, this is the perfect spot for a week night date night!

Vegan sushi?? If I closed my eyes, it tasted pretty similar to the real thing, including the texture Salmon has a bit of jelly texture, much better than other 'vegan smoked salmon' which was just carrot. Price feels a little high to do normal takeout but would recommend for all vegan eaters

Amazing! Since becoming vegetarian, the one thing I have really missed is salmon sushi, and tenon's spicy salmon roll is a game changer. Everything we ordered was amazing, and in particular the spicy broccoli roll and thai roll were amazing. I will definitely come again!

Pleasant service staff. The meal was so-so. The spicy curry was not spicy, the coconut flavor was watery. Salmon made of conjac was visually appropriate (salmon like). Was the flavor true, I can't say because I have never tasted salmon! An interesting experience but not going back for seconds.

So good and amazing choices!! Definitely ordering again - the tempura is awesome and pickled radish delicious. The fake seafood is mild in flavour and works well with everything, which is what I prefer rather than strong fishy flavours. I'm excited to try some of the non-sushi dishes next time 😊

I love sushi, but my vegan partner was always disappointed with the vegan options a sushi restaurant had to offer. I noticed Tenon Vegan Sushi on Bloor St. a few times recently and finally decided to give it a try. WOW... just WOW. The freshness and flavour were wildly beyond our expectations. Even if you're not vegan, I highly recommend giving this a try. We will be sure to get it again, and try the Thai dishes as well. THANK YOU! Now we can enjoy sushi together!

Sushi is generally great here, although I do prefer the Markham location more. I find their flavors and much better and their take out is always more fresh. The sushi was really good here as well, but not as fresh. Their general sao wasn't fresh either. It was very soft and the gravy was too watery. We asked for extra spicy and it definitely tasted better.
