A SHAME that in 2022 we’re facing acts of discrimination like this. Should’ve read reviews before. My 2 brown girls & I waited in the GL line next to enter for 1.5 hrs. The bouncers would go to the BACK of the line & bring girls in of a specific type. When we spoke up to ask why, we got booted to the back. After re-lining we got told later no matter how many times we wait in line we weren’t getting in. After demanding an explanation they told us its bc 1 of our shoes(open toe low heels) Stay away from this place if you don’t fit a certain skin colour or desired “type” of girls they are looking for. Not sure how businesses get away with this RACIST behaviour. These 2 bouncers were DISRESPECTFUL & they enjoyed every bit of “authority” they had to make us brown folks in line feel the way we did

Worst Experience Ever. Honestly, believe all the 1-star reviews. I only went to this club for an event; I wish I didn't. However, I thought it would be a better experience than what was being said online. However, from first-hand experience, I can tell how horribly managed this establishment is. First, the front door security is horrendous and very shady. Security throughout suck and don't seem to know how to do their job. Secondly, this establishment is tiny and unorganized. Even if you have a booth be prepared to be pushed around. Especially when the bottle girls come around, which happens every few minutes. Third, I'm not sure if there even is a dress code. I heard of some people getting turned away. However, I also saw a girl with house slippers get in and a guy in a raggedy tracksuit. Four, the atmosphere isn't great. Many girls wandered around looking for free drinks, and guys with sensitive egos tried to start fights with everyone about every little thing. Finally, most workers don't seem to care about anything. Or don't know what to do or what's going on. If you are lucky, you'll get a friendly bartender. (And you need many drinks to enjoy this place) Overall, it's a mess, and there are better clubs in Toronto to go to. Don't waste your coins on this place.

Fun for people watching but don’t expect to be treated nicely here. Long line and they’ll probably decide the cover charge based on who you are. It was soo busy too. So much pushing. Just go to another fun bar or club somewhere else

We bought tickets to a sickick concert that was tonight February 25th and up front i was a little nervous about it once i read the other reviews of the place. We followed their dress code which the concert stated to check the website for and we had no problems at all. The security pat down is definitely extremely thorough but they were professional about it and felt safe with knowing theres nothing getting in. Talked with multiple bar tenders and security while we were there and they were all very professional and nice as long as people were respectful. Many reviews pointed that they were racist and i cant speak to what happened previously but tonight was the melting pot of every race and type of person with no issues that we saw at all. Just a ton of people having a great time together. The sound system is top notch and the lighting and effects are out of this world awesome! Picture was right when we got in which we were first in line but it filled up and was an awesome venue and show.

If I could give this club lower than 1 star I would. So we payed $8000 for a booth and bottles for my friends birthday. They made us wait outside for nearly TWO HOURS as they filled other booths. A completely disorganized mess. On top of that, the bouncers were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Finally they let us in, and even though we payed for the biggest booth in the club, they bring us to the smallest booth in the corner. And as we tried to fit our group on the platform because the booth was so small we couldn't all fit on the floor, the ceiling was so low half of us had to hunch over the entire night. So we end up getting in the club at about 1AM (it closes at 3) and they don't even bring us our bottles for about another 45 minutes. What a joke. At this point there's only an hour left to drink the massive amount of alcohol we had payed for. As for the club itself, it's horrible. Probably the worst club I have ever been to in my life. It is the size of a shoebox, the overdone flashing lights could literally cause a seizure, it's completely packed with no room to move, the DJ was absolutely AWFUL. The crowd is extremely confrontational and straight up creeps walk through the crowd trying to grab girls from behind even if they're with another group. The staff was rude and the service was slow. I could go on. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. Don't listen to the all the plastic instagram promoters who say this club is great, it's a complete scam.

Honestly such a bad experience. Won’t be coming back. For starters my boyfriend and I waited in line for 3+ hours. They kept on letting group of ONLY women in, that had just arrived and not even waited in line. It seems like this club is known for just letting specific type of people in. If you are a man or your planing to go as a couple don’t waste your time. On top of that the bouncers are kind of rude. I understand taking care of a large crowd is difficult but at the end of the day you don’t need to be such a d**k. The actual event space is also bad it’s super narrow and the music was terrible. The DJ just played Toronto trap music 😐 like honestly how are you even supposed to dance to that. Bro really played Canada Goose And Griselda Blanco 🤦‍♀️ Such a waste of my time/money. I regret it.

Visiting from San Francisco and stopped by here for our last night out. Hip hop is what I’m into and it seemed hard to find during our visit. Heard nothing but good things from locals recommending this place. Was told that it would be 320 for a bottle in VIP to get in asap and cut the line. Paid 500 total including tip. Went through front door pat down, then metal detectors. Was told that we wouldn’t have seats, but a section blocked off at the bar. Got downstairs and we literally got placed at the bar with no section and no table. We took one sip of our drink and walked out. This club isn’t interested in building brand and creating experiences, they’re just a interested in making a quick buck. We didn’t get any of our money back, and they almost didn’t give me back my ID. We were told, next time we’re in the TO, we would get free entry. 🤣 I know lots of people who would be looking for a top experience when visiting TO, and I will be down playing this spot until they go out of business. If you have a buck to spend and want to turn up, avoid this place at all cost.

I do not recommend this club. The ratio female/male is not as advertised, it was almost only girls. You are not allowed to stay in the hallways between the boots, so girls have to join a boot. Like I said, it was almost only girls. I was from a guest list so it really felt wrong to be almost forced to join boots. Also, The lights are Not like usual, there’s flickering lights so you can’t watch your drink and it is scary. I felt uncomfortable the hole time. Worst experience in a club.

44 Toronto is top tier when it comes to weekend night parties. Always being able to get celebrities headlining says something about this place. Awesome atmosphere, superb lighting and sound. Bottle shows here blow other places out of the water , ambience and energy is unmatched; if you're looking for bottle service. Good space near bars and near the front for dancing. Very conveniently located near bars and restaurants to pre and enjoy a meal to get the energy going for the night at 44 Toronto. Highly recommend 44 for a club night out on the weekends.

BEST CLUB I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! I’ve been to many clubs in Toronto, Miami, NYC, etc and this was the most fun and safest. When I go to clubs I want to have a fun time with friends to remember and what made 44 Toronto stand out is how much the staff cares about there guests safety. They take into account not accepting anyone underage and not serving drinks to anyone with signs of serious intoxication. If there ever is an issue with a guest the staff is immediate to respond and make sure they are okay. The music is amazing as it is filled with lots of good genres so there is something g for everyone. A lot of people say the drinks can be pricey but I believe that the quality and amazing taste is worth the price. So excited to come back this summer!!!!

Worst nightlife experience I had in Toronto. They made us wait in the cold while they were letting girls in that are not of age in front of us. The girls showed a student id card that does not even have date of birth. Individually, they all gave a kiss on the bouncers cheeks before walking inside. The security there confiscated my lighter and my joint. They told me that I would be able to get the lighter when I was leaving. I asked them why they were taking away the weed and the woman that was searching me told me that the owner “did not want it in the premises”. After going inside I recognized a very strong scent of weed. It was a guy smoking a blunt in one of the private booths. When I was leaving the club, I was complaining about it to the employees and their response was “sometimes the owners smoke up inside”. I was then given a random lighter from a bucket full of them. I asked if I could search my lighter, she offered to give me two instead... The place was extremely cold. Most men that were regulars and security kept their jacket on while the waitresses and bartenders with extremely revealing clothes were clearly freezing. Not planning to go ever again. (awful music and lighting that burns your eyeballs. Ps: This is my first review of any place, the reason why is simply for you to have a realistic expectation.

Good place to go if you want to get lit or party in a booth. You might wait in line a while if you're not on the guest list or if you're a group of guys. Cover was double for guys, vibe was hip hop. Club is narrow, dance floor at the front is small and bottle service was overflowing into it. Lights are top tier, sound system is also great. Not my usual scene but still had fun.

Music is very good. Show; lighting installation is very good too. However, the space is very limited I think capacity is maybe 100 peps and they oversell tickets so it turns that there are 300 people which causes uncomfortable condition for visitors. Everyone punching impossible to dance. No cute guys whatsoever. So ladies - not good place for us - fir guys only. And mgmt should sell less tickets. Cause I know I get money- but you loose reputation. Club is also about reputation

This club 44 Toronto sucks big time! We got there early, freezing our butts off in -10 degrees, only to be treated like trash. They made us wait for a ridiculous 2.5 hours, watching as they let in every other group, especially those spending big on bottle service. Guess what? Half of us were supposed to get in for free because they said ladies don't pay before 11:30 pm, but nope, they were trying to rip us off with a $750 entry fee if we choose the bottle service. The staff? Total jerks. Tried talking to them, but they wouldn't even look at us, let alone help. It was crystal clear they didn't want us there. They let in fancy bottle service folks like royalty, while we were practically frostbitten. Discrimination? Yeah, felt like it. It's infuriating that they couldn't care less about making us wait forever in the freezing cold. 44 Toronto, you ruined our night, and I wouldn't recommend this dump to my worst enemy!

I did not enjoy the experience at all. I came with a couple of friends. The staff at the entry gate were rude. They gave us a disgusted look and checked our outfits 3 times. They approved all our outfits. We waited for more than 45 minutes for them to let us in. But then the staff denied entry for just one of our friend for a very lame reason. I don't know if it was racism or sheer rudeness, but I am personally very disappointed.

the worst club in toronto. i’ve been twice and both times were so lame. first time we went, it was so empty and no one was dancing. we instantly left in 5 min. the second time we went when russ was “hosting” the night. which btw he came for 2 songs at like 1:30am and then dipped. like huh??? host much?? plus noooo one was dancing either. this club seems like the type where people are just here to mingle. pretty boring. lines are always long which im always confused about cause it sucks inside.

I went with a couple girls (early 20s) we had guest list and knew some people so we got in quickly. The girls were free I was 40$ (they told us $20) plus coat check. The music was some trash house music and everyone there was a super rich ugly old person. Like a decent amount of people were over 40 even 50 but they had money, wasn’t the vibe

This place is not bad as the reviews indicate. Bouncers were super nice and friendly to us and security was around our table which made us feel more safe . However inside the club was very cold because of air conditioner was set on way too cold . The club it self was small and I don’t like their dress code I want to be able to wear my 1200$ sneakers not a dress shoe when I go dancing. Anyway , my experience wasn’t bad , but for amount of money I spend I have much better options close to this place with less attitude.

Not a great experience here, can safely say I will never be coming back. Cover was $40 and absolutely not worth it because the club was barely full for most of the night, and the dance floor was cut in half to make more room for tables. No point in coming here if you want a good dance floor. To make things worse, the bar ONLY accepts cash. So unless you want to carry a wad of bills with you at all times, you will not be able to purchase a drink here.

Wouldn’t let us in the door, apparently we were not the right demographic. We came with the intention to buy many drinks and made it clear to the people at the door that those were our intentions and they refused service. Reason being we were young and our pants (simple clean sports pants) were apparently a problem. There was not many people in the club so not sure why image would be an issue when the people hosting the gate are wearing joggers and leggings which is most defenitely not an elegant style. Overall unimpressed from service even the rare time they actually let you in.

It’s gets packed to the point that you feel like you’re on a streetcar at peek hours. Can’t move at all, and get elbowed everywhere, and just trying to balance to not get trampled. So not a place for dancing, it being a club, defeats the point. I left in 30 minutes. Props to the dj that night tho, music was good. If only you could enjoy it.

Please don’t waste your time. They overhype the club on social media to make it APPEAR as if it’s the “place to be”. Signing up to be on the guest list makes no difference, you’ll still be on the line like everyone else. Waited over 2 hours. Lines weren’t moving, very unorganized. The bottle service line wasn’t moving at all either. It was a mess. We walked across the street and found this hidden bar called DEER LADY and I highly recommend it. Good vibes, great music and good atmosphere.

If I had a choice of giving zero stars I would have given that to this place. The staff is discriminative, ignorant and rude. They would make you wait for more than 2 hours in the cold temperatures of negative 10. All they care about is the people with the bottle service. They are racist towards people of colour. I really hate this place

This place SUCKS…. It’s a 10 cent club not worth to spend $100’s of dollar to get in. This place have more security check than any other president office, they should show more interest on inside entertainment than just security check. STAFF - please don’t even go there, worst of the worst staff I have ever experienced. Place is over crowded, felt like cattle shed. Music is far better in my local bar. Overall this 44 Toronto is NO DEAL at all.

After enduring such a long wait to enter the club, which was surprisingly uncrowded upon arrival, I was disheartened by the staff's unpleasant behavior during the investigation process. To my dismay, they not only confiscated my lighter without permission but also disposed of it. The experience left a significant negative impact on my night, and I strongly believe that it would have been beneficial if the club had clearly stated in the ticket or entrance guidelines to refrain from bringing lighters and cannabis. This would have helped set proper expectations and prevented unnecessary inconveniences for attendees.

Great Club with a good atmosphere. Staff are pleasant to deal with and are happy to be at your service.! On a Sunday you wouldn’t think anywhere would be poppin but 44 proves you wrong. Definitely the spot to be when your in DT Toronto. Make sure to book a table though to breeze through entry line and the extensive security process. One thing I must add is that the security process at this club is like no other in the Gta and you can tell with the procedures they have in place their main goal is to ensure all us guests have a safe and fun nightlife experience. 5/5 coming again 100%

Brought some friends from out of town for a birthday celebration & stood in line for nearly an hour to get inside & never made it, even tho we reserved the bottle service🙄 the workers kept promising us that the line would move quicker & that we’ll be in soon, well that never happened! Less than one star if I could give it. Last Friday was my first night at 44 and I had got my phone stolen, and felt as though my drink had been spiked. I also had some incredibly creepy interactions. I had informed security about my phone and all they had to say was that 5 other phones had been stolen that night. I am extremely upset and angry with this experience and would never recommend this place to anybody. Felt very unsafe.

Firstly, upon our arrival at the club, we encountered a significant queue, and right from the beginning, the club security exhibited rudeness. Moreover, they displayed favoritism towards certain individuals, particularly girls, who were discreetly providing them with cash. These privileged individuals were ushered through a separate entrance to gain access to the club. When questioned about this behavior, one of the security personnel responded by stating that people visit clubs primarily to admire women, rather than men. However, I firmly believe that people go to clubs to enjoy music, the atmosphere, socialize with friends, and engage in an overall party experience, rather than solely focusing on women. Additionally, it was quite surprising that the bartenders insisted on accepting only cash payments for beverages.

The host walked us through security and took us to our booth. We then got our first bottle and the waitress was very quick always refilling our mixers and glasses. Overall very friendly and attentive staff!

Do NOT bring pre-rolls (or any substances along the same lines) because they will ask you to throw it away (aka free weed for staff and friends) even though they have already taken your lighters away (and thrown it in a bin, depending on when you leave there won't be any lighters left). Somehow they don't ask for cigarettes to be thrown away?! Arbitrary door prices also. The girls making the drinks were nice though and no problems with individual staff members really, just aspects of how the place is run.

I wish I could rate this place zero stars because they don’t even deserve one. There was only ONE nice bouncer/security out of at least 30. They literally just hire staff cause they’re attractive and want to make their image look good, but they’re the most rude and aggressive staff i’ve ever met. They really only care to make money they don’t care to make your experience enjoyable. The space is smaller than my apartment you have absolutely no room to dance and enjoy yourself. I had numerous occurrences where staff needed to walk by me but I had absolutely no where to move so they shoved me hard out the way into a bunch of people. This establishment is disgusting and a disappointment needs to be shut down as soon as possible.

Went there last night and the bouncers would let you skip the line for 20$ per person. Also they changed the entree fee from 40 to 60. Is that a normal behavior or did we just get ripped off? Please don’t hire people who are having an attitude and seem like they are hating what they are doing. The girl who worked as a cashier upon entrance, unbelievable. Everything else is great there, the vibe, the people, the music. People are coming there to spend money don’t rip them off additionally.

Fun place to try out. Cover is 20$ for girls and 40$ for the guys. A little crammed and not a lot of space, but the music is good and the lights/effects are worth it. When ordering drinks, there’s a minimum order of 3 drinks, which is kinda annoying and unreasonable. We had a booth and a VIP pass so we had a really good time overall

On a Friday night: Over capacity, and you have to stand and bob your head, barely any room to dance/ bend your legs to dance etc. Cover for guys was $60 and cover for girls was $40 ( if after 11:30pm for women). The club had nice typical club lights and confetti and smoke but the DJ would play songs for 3 seconds, cut it and play another song. Barely any transitions between songs, way too many DJ shout-outs which ruins the rhythm. Overall, hard to catch a vibe.

This is the classiest club I’ve ever been to, the lights and music were amazing. You should definitely dress up to come here. The bartenders were really nice, however the drinks were too expensive. My friend and I were able to get in right at 11, but we didn’t understand why the line was so long considering it was pretty empty inside at first. We showed up around 10:40 on the guest list. Online their website said ladies free before 11:30 and when we signed up, it said the event was going to be free if we showed up before 11:30. We were charged $20 each and the person told us that usually it's ladies free but tonight was a special event (a Beyoncé post concert after party). They should have advertised that rather than being misleading. And we weren't the only group that was caught off guard by this.

My girls and I went last night for a fun outing, we had read these reviews and went regardless but with caution. Honestly I’m my opinion it just wasn’t worth it. They charge girls admission after 11:30, they have 3 stages of security- don’t bring weed or any type of lighter if you want to keep it, and they pat you down real good I’m glad it’s safe but also don’t see why there’s so much. The space was tiny and cramped and we were being overcharged on drinks for sure. I don’t get why there’s such high demand for such a tiny place when you could go to a place like rebel or Toybox for a similar experience but bigger and better. Overall just not worth it I had fun but wouldn’t go again.

I already saw multiple negative reviews about bouncers, it seems management haven’t took any action to make guests experience pleasant without unnecessary rude attitude bouncers. So if I give you detailed explanation also there will be no use, management wont care about guests experience. *** it’s better to avoid this place*** Here the comedy part is club is smaller than my house and their attitude is bigger than GTA.🫡 There will be no point in getting fake 5star reviews when word of mouth is really bad🤷‍♂️

Nov 19, came with friends, waited 1.5 hours to get in even when we were RVSP'd. Black bouncer, was rude, and straight trippin'. I could see that he was enjoying his power trip that night, and he upset multiple people that night. Now I dont want to judge just off this one experience, but if hes like this everyday, I suggest a new bouncer, to better business.

this place is not worth your time. we came and left within 10 mins. bouncer was rude and the bar was so overpriced. my friend and i asked for two vodka shots and the girl working went to go whisper to another man working and then came back and charged us $32 for TWO shots. you can get a 500-750mL bottle of vodka for that price depending on the brand. we went to other places on king st that charged $5 for shots, there’s better places.

44 Toronto is a great place to experience worst service ever. I signed up for guest list (according to which entrance is free before 11:30). Arrived to the club at 11, spend 40 minutes in the line and at 11:40 at the cash register they said we have to pay 20$ each. If you think we spend 40 minutes in a huge line - no, 5 people were in front, which gives me an idea that they were holding us in purpose. It was my friend’s bday and this place screwed up the beginning of the night. Especially thanks to the cash lady that was yelling like I’m gonna jump over her to get there even tho I’ve just tried to figure out the guest list. If you are wondering how the story ended, we were escorted by security like Pablo Escobar, also police was involved to get two lighters back that was taken at the entrance. Not recommending this place at all, even McDonald’s is providing better service.

Underwhelming. Very young crowd for a saturday night... 22-24 yr old. On the bottom floor you cannot move, can hardly call it a dancefloor. If you're anywhere near the speaker you heart feels like its coming out of your chest. The music was no good, I had high expectations.. but was bad EDM and 15 seconds of great songs. Good entertainers, each bottles comes out as a big deal, smoke machines and confetti everywhere is fun. Very overpriced. I wish it was a better crowd and better music, then it would have more potential for sure!

Very disappointed as we waited for 1 hour and decide to left the queue as the black bouncer was rude and not following the rules. Full on favourism was seen so definitely a worst management.👎

Got to 44 at 11pm after seeing a small line and been waiting now for an hour and half. Definitely better ways to spend the night. There is no option to skip the line for an additional change either. Then the security hikes up the price to 60 last minute when you’re about to get in. Not the experience I was looking for.

When I visited Club 44, I had a respectful and kind interaction with every security guard. However, when I got to the club, I had marijuana spliffs in my bag. I asked the security guard, an Asian woman with lash extensions and lip filler, if she could hold the marijuana for me, but she refused. I was understanding of the club's policies and let her confiscate it. However, I found it odd that she put it in her pocket instead of throwing it away. It really did seem like she kept it for personal use. My friends that were there with me witnessed it as well and mentioned that her behaviour is super odd. We also collectively agreed that THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO US AT ANY OTHER CLUB IN TORONTO. Usually they hold it for you until you are done. When I asked for it back, she became hostile and threatened to ban me from the premises… (I was literally going back to put the marijuana spliffs in my car to respect the policy) she also went running around telling every security guard to not let me in afterwards. Her conduct was inappropriate and made me feel undignified. While I understand that it's her job, I don't think this behavior is acceptable. Power tripping for $18 an hour is a shame lol. I hope that the club management takes this issue seriously and trains their security guards to handle situations like this more professionally. Also, no other guards behaved like her and she went out of her way to escort me out of the premises in a disgusting way. I have reached out to the management by email, but they haven't responded. I had no other choice but to add another horrible experience to the many 1 star Google reviews. It's disappointing that the place is unethical with its approach.

Amazing atmosphere, great DJs, good vibes! The club is diligent with their security and safety of all individuals. Expensive drinks but it’s worth it.

The WORST experience I’ve ever had at any club, bar, space ever. If giving zero stars was an option, I would have given zero; even one star is giving them far more credit than they deserve. The security guards are aggressive and take the searches way too far, they go into your clothes, bra, pants and shoes while just entering the building. It’s more abrasive than a search at the airport, it’s more than a search, it’s harassment and inappropriate. The female security guard dumped my purse out all over, loosing articles in the process. Their website gives you no guidelines as to what you can and cannot bring into the building and so, I lost over $500 in things in my purse that are completely legal and within reason just entering the building. The staff inside are rude and will just ignore you. If you have any self respect, physical boundaries, or interest in having a good time, NEVER go here. It’s Awful. Just flush hundreds of dollars down the toilet instead.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting 44Toronto, and I can't say enough about the fantastic experience I had. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was electric, and the staff played a significant role in making it such a memorable night. The level of professionalism and friendliness exhibited by the staff was truly commendable. They went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and taken care of. Whether it was a simple greeting at the door or tending to specific requests, they handled everything with a smile and efficiency that truly stood out. The attentiveness of the staff was exceptional. Despite the bustling energy of the club, I never once felt neglected. They were quick to offer assistance and were always attentive to the needs of patrons, ensuring everyone had a seamless and enjoyable experience. Moreover, the staff's knowledge of the venue and its offerings was impressive. They were able to provide recommendations on drinks and even offered insights into the club's various events and activities. It was clear that they were not only dedicated to their roles but also deeply passionate about ensuring every guest had a fantastic time. In addition to their professionalism, the staff at 44Toronto club exuded a genuine warmth that created a welcoming and inclusive environment. Their positive energy was infectious and undoubtedly contributed to the vibrant and lively atmosphere of the club.

Security steals from people. Be aware! They ask you to pay more for skipping the line. 20 to 50 $ for skipping the lines. It says door open at 10:30, ladies free until 11:30, but they hold you in the line up until 11:30, so make everyone to pay $40, for nothing. Total waste of money. Never gonna coma back again.

👍 Good food as always! Convenient. Kids friendly. One star less because in the men’s washrooms there is no arrangement for baby diapers change. I managed it somehow but for a single dad with baby it is not convenient. I hope management would put up something to resolve it. Thank you.
