Came
to
the
emergency
at
1
AM
with
a
toddler
screaming
in
pain.
Triage
nurse
(Leanne)
and
front
staff
were
kind
and
quick(we
were
shown
into
the
waiting
room
by
1.20AM).
It
went
all
downhill
from
there.
Waited
till
3.30
AM,
and
when
I
asked
the
ER
nurses
if
there
is
any
thing
I
can
give
my
child,
the
response
was
that
there's
other
patients
with
higher
acuity
and
we
would
be
attended
to
in
the
presumed
order
of
severity.
When
I
pointed
out
that
service
is
never
usually
this
slow,
I
was
told
I'm
lucky
to
be
waiting
only
for
the
2
and
half
hours
so
far,
and
usually
it's
a
lot
more?
If
that's
the
case,
why
is
MDH
not
hiring
enough
doctors?
I've
personally
been
here
during
the
day
and
the
longest
I've
been
here
is
less
than
an
hour
and
half
-
that
too
peak
pandemic.
There
were
2
cases
before
mine,
and
1
doctor
apparently
on
rounds.
I'm
still
waiting
half
hour
later
and
it
appears
there
other
patients
who
have
fallen
asleep
in
the
rooms,
waiting
for
a
doctor
to
show
up
-
perhaps
that's
what
the
support
staff
hopes
for?
That
you
fall
asleep
and
they
can
clock
out?
The
late
night
ER
service
is
terrible.
Even
if
it
is
10-15
minutes
longer,
head
to
OakvilleTrafalgar.
You'll
get
home
soon.
Edit:
we
were
seen
shortly
after
by
Dr.
Dymytryshyn
(hope
I
spelt
that
right).
The
gentleman
was
quick,
kind
and
efficient.
Wish
they
had
more
staff
like
him.
