Just got home from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. We were in the second row from the stage. It was fantastic! You need to go see this! Have a look at my pictures of the stage and theater. We were no allowed cameras during the show. Don't forget to press the like button!

I absolutely love this theater!! I've been here a few times and mostly foe musical, this time we were there for Harry Potter and the cursed child! It was amazing, the stage so well setup, the historical background matched with the theme, it was a phenomenal experience! Looking forward to my next musical journey in this theater again!

Went to see the show “In Dreams”, and walked away having a great night out! The theatre is great, comfy seating, nice decor. Nice touch to have the American Express only bar…saved us some time. Bring your Amex card! And if the main floor washrooms have a line up, then go upstairs. Much quieter and quicker! Latest options and pricing for before the show or during the intermission in the photos. Hope you enjoy your night out!

We saw the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play, and it was phenomenal! The screen play, the acting, the set up, the theme, and everything put together was flawless. The theatre itself is not that big, but the seats were comfy and had enough leg space. Only downside would be the fact the central area is not too spacious so during intermission, it was extremely crowded, especially because there was only one washroom for ladies, which created a huge line up. I would suggest creating another one if possible.. All in all, fantastic experience!

I saw In Dreams last week and had an amazing time! I was sitting in the very back row ground floor and I still had a great, unobstructed view of the stage. The staff were very nice, as always, and the place is very well kept, including the washrooms. There were only two things I didn’t love. The first one being the fact that I almost didn’t make it into the theatre. I got there on time, was in line to get in and as I was getting closer to have my ticket scanned at the door I heard the announcement that the show was about to begin and they would close the doors! Perhaps more than 2 ticket scanner attendants at the door would go through the line faster. Though I understand it wasn’t their fault; getting closer to the door I saw a group of older ladies seemingly fight their phones to get their tickets ready to scan. The second thing was just how tightly crowded it gets during intermission and after the show. I also understand not much can be done on that front but it was still uncomfortable.

What a fantastic little theater! Large enough for a high quality performance, small enough to feel like an intimate show! They really knocked it out of the park with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the acting and choreography was absolutely magical, and visually stunning! Highly highly recommend!

This theatre is beautiful despite how old it is. The insides are decorated and preserved beautifully. We were here for the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and oh man, everyone needs to see this show. The show was 3.5 hours long with 1 intermission in the middle, I'll be honest, this show was so good, time just flew by. The special effects, acting, surprise elements, and choreography were amazing especially their transitions with the props. Definitely an excellent show for families and a great date idea. I definitely recommend sitting in the mezzanine instead of the orchestra because of the special effects around the entire theatre. Trust!

The theatre itself is great and beautiful. I went there for the Harry Potter play. It’s actually really good ! I was expecting a great story , but I was not sure of how the play would be. The special effects, costumes and actors are great. Way better than expected ( and my expectations were high)

Went to see harry Potter and the cursed child and was blown away by the performance and special effects. They used real fire during the performance for spells and had dementors hanging from above the stage that looked very lifelike. Their performance completely blew my expectations of a play out of the water. Great sized theatre with concession stands, two floors and multiple bathrooms.

First time coming to this theatre and I was totally surprised how big the venue was from just viewing the front entrance. It’s a beautiful space for a theatre show and there doesn’t seem to be a bad viewing angle in the house.

How do i know this? Well I went to see the musical Hamilton but I was up in the mezzanine in row O which is about 10 rows from the very back of the theatre.

I still had a great viewing angle of the stage. During the intermission, I took a little walk around to observe the other viewing angles of the theatre. The sound acoustics are very very solid in here.

A tip I learned by accident, try to exit onto Victoria St as there is usually a gate that is blocked off so the theatre actors can come out for pictures, autographs, and praise from the fans. :-)

Just when I think I've seen the interiors of all the beautiful theatres in Toronto, I end up seeing more. I wax lucky enough to be one of the few to see Hamilton performed here before the pandemic. The show was excellent but we also enjoyed our surroundings.

We were visiting Toronto and decided to take in a show! Chicago was great, fabulous cast and orchestra and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The theatre itself is small but really beautiful. The staff were friendly and efficient and intermission drinks could be pre-ordered to save time. The only downside was the washrooms, not the state of them, they were lovely, but the number. The queues were horrendous! Other than that, our experience was wholly positive and we would definitely recommend a visit!

Beautiful smaller theatre that has a wonderful charm. Conveniently located in Toronto by the Eaton Centre this theatre houses great playa and musicals. I recently went and was surprised at the grandeur of the place. Tickets I purchased were in the orchestra level farther back and I was happy to know my seats were great and pretty much almost seating in the orchestra gives a great view of the stage. Concession area is simple. I bought pop and wasn’t overly gouged $4.75. My seats were comfortable although spaces are a tiny bit tight. I guess standard at theatres. Sound was great and atmosphere great. Staff was friendly can’t wait to go back to see another show!

Fantastic medium-sized theatre with glistening architectural details, showing itself to be a peak mixture of 1930 architectural movements. Little bit of Art Decor here, a little bit of Beaux Arts there. The seats positioning is very well designed (even for the back of the circle, no parts of the performance is lost). As long as the building stands, Toronto history stands.

Beautiful theatre, recommend going few minutes early to explore it's lobby and the architecture. The staff were very efficient, knowledgeable and courteous. The seats are packed a bit closely, acoustics are wonderful

Great old theatre in downtown Toronto. Around the block from the Eaton Center, lots of restaurants and Toronto's version of Time Square. If you are going to the theatre head down early and take in the vibe! There are lots of parking lots within walking distance or take an easy public transit trip. In the theatre make sure you take the time to soak in the authentic look of the original architecture and decor. *** The washrooms are tiny and always have huge line ups so go earl or before and if you have to ...run at intermission to be at the front of the line!

Our family group of 12 attended the show last evening. It was very well done but rather long at 3.5 hours . The actors did a wonderful job. I think it could have been condensed by a half hour or so. The special effects were very good, however I feel that they should have been more spectacular based on the media promotion that preceded the opening. We sat in row D in the balcony, and the mic volume should have been louder as it was difficult to make out the spoken lines. However, it became louder part way through the first act; this should have been worked out by now. The theatre itself is magnificent.

Large and spacious, it's a beautiful theatre. They did an excellent job decorating the entire theatre for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Perfectly located in the heart of Toronto's downtown core it is one of my favourite theatres to see a show.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've had the pleasure of attending several productions at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre, with the most recent being the spectacular Harry Potter production. This historic venue never fails to impress, & I can confidently say it's one of the best theatres in downtown Toronto. The seating at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre is simply amazing, & there truly isn't a bad seat in the house. Whether you're up close or in the balcony, the view is fantastic, providing an immersive experience for every member of the audience. The sound quality in this theatre is exceptional, a crucial factor when enjoying musicals like Harry Potter. The clarity & richness of the audio enhance the overall theatrical experience, making it a treat for the senses. One aspect that consistently contributes to the positive atmosphere is the friendly & helpful staff. In all my visits, I've never encountered an unpleasant staff member. Their positive energy adds to the enjoyment of the overall experience, creating a welcoming environment for theater goers. Located right in the heart of downtown Toronto, the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre's central location is convenient but comes with a parking challenge. While there isn't dedicated parking for the theatre, various Green P parking lots & other paid options are available nearby. For an efficient and stress-free journey, I recommend using the Go Train & TTC subway to reach the venue. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre to anyone seeking a top-notch theatrical experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this venue offers a memorable & enjoyable time, especially if the performance aligns with your interests.

Best theatre production I ever saw. Harry Potter deserves more than 5* All the magic happened in front of our eyes. And we were seated directly in the Hogwarts. All of the cast was on top of the performance.

Beautiful theatre. It’s a bit small so even the furthest seats are not too bad. Very conveniently located near the eaton centre too. They’re playing Anastasia right now!

We went and saw the Bat out of Hell performance and it was fantastic. The theatre is beautiful and the staff was great. All the seats from what I could see would have been a great choice. Liquor prices were reasonable as well as the coat check. Nothing bad to say about our evening.

Got tickets to In Dreams for my birthday this year. Theatre is not something I've done much, but this was the music of Roy Orbison which I have always loved. Great show put on by a very talented group!

I was there to see Hamilton musical. So, Many, People. After act 1, the line for the washroom was out of the washroom, then all the way in the hall with all other lines for food/drinks and merch, then out of the entrance door. But the line moves quickly. Thanks to a staff quickly ushering people to available stall. After the show, I saw theatre staff telling people ways to get out of the theatre if they don’t need to get any merch or use washroom. Side doors were available to use and we were able to quickly exit the crowed theatre.

Looks like this venue was renovated. Looks great. Nice colours too. Male washrooms very clean too One thing I don’t get is why the air conditioning is set high. The night I went was not packed and so the air should be set accordingly.

You cannot go wrong with any Mirvish show. They are expertly selected and the performances will always be engaging. I have seen Wicked, Anastasia, Harry Potter and more at this theater. Each show is unique and amazing. A perk to this theater is that the seats in the orchestra section offer a good amount of leg room.

My wife and I have come here over the years mainly to watch shows and musicals like Mamma Mia etc. The theatre always conjures up nostalgic memories of a bygone era. The theatre has kept its historic charm over the decades and it has always been a warm and cozy venue to watch a show. And watching Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been no exception. The stage was simply magnificent along with the sound and the effects. It was quite enjoyable. Until the next time ...

The hall to the theater was impressive. It retained it's grandeur. We watched Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Amazing. Magic. They dressed up the theater with a surprise. As for Mirvish, the ticketing process was efficient/ quick. Pricing was reasonable with rush seats 1-2 days before.

Loved it! The Harry Potter performance was amazing! A must see for any Potter fan young and old. The theater was beautiful and it was nice to be able to get some drinks before the show. My only complaint is the seats were super uncomfortable but other than that the performance was well done.

Took my Wife for her birthday to our first time ever too a play and the Mirvish Theatre. Harry Potter and The Cursed Child was 10/10 the seats were comfortable considering it was a 3 hr show definitely would think about going to theatre again.

Went to see the Harry Potter play and it was amazing - excellent visual effects and stage design, which tells me the venue is well equipped to make great theatre possible. The theatre itself is nice and you can get a good view of the stage from anywhere. Loading in and out of the theatre is slow - they don't have enough entrances and exits - I would not want to be there during an emergency! The waiting room is very tiny, so before and after the show is very crammed with people everywhere. Lines are confusing and guests are not always helped in the proper order. Bathroom lines are long and the facilities are tiny.

I was at the play Harri Potter and the Cursed Сhild, very good special effects, good acting. But, the performance goes on for a very long time, 3 hours you need to wait about it in advance. The theater building is very beautiful. You can buy drinks and food at the bar.

We had a wonderful time here watching The Cursed Child for Valentine's Day. The theatre is very beautiful and very clean. The stage lighting, audio, and effects were fantastic. We sat in the mezzanine area and throughly enjoyed our time . Looking forward to watching more plays in the future.

The experience of Harry Potter and the Cursed child play is remarkable. The actors are extremely talented, and the production is awesome. This play is something I will never forget. Apart from that, they sell HP merchandise. There is butter beer, and you get to keep the beer bottle as a souvenir. The theater itself is grand and a spectacle to view. I would recommed it to add to your to-do list.

I had the incredible opportunity to witness "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" at the prestigious Mirvish Theatre, and it was an unforgettable experience. As I entered the theatre, an air of excitement filled the room, and the anticipation was palpable. The production transported me to the magical world of Harry Potter like never before. The stage effects were simply awe-inspiring, bringing spells and enchantments to life before my eyes. The talented cast delivered a mesmerizing performance, capturing the essence of beloved characters with their impeccable acting. From the gripping storyline to the dazzling visual spectacle, every moment left me captivated and immersed in the wizarding world. The energy of the audience was infectious, with gasps, cheers, and applause echoing throughout the performance. It was an extraordinary theatrical journey that will forever be etched in my memory.

Fantastic experience watching the Harry Potter show at the ed mirvish center. The atmosphere of this theater is just lovely. The show was so impressive and for someone who has not watched all the Harry Potter movies yet I found this very entertaining.

Wow. Such a gorgeous theatre! I watched Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and it was an incredibly amazing and magical experience. The acting, the story, the special effects! My mind was blown so many times over. Wizzo!

Beautiful venue! It's a small theater and is well maintained. It has two levels and you can enjoy the play almost from anywhere. The seats in the middle are always the best choice but you can enjoy from the others if you don't want to spend a lot to have the best seating. There is an American Express priority bar and a lot of parking around. Municipality parking is available close with a flat rate of 9 dollars 6pm to 7am for night events.

Had a phenomenal time seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The theatre is gorgeous, looks very classy with beautiful ornate designs throughout. The concession stands and gift shops were reasonably priced with lots of options for everyone. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The show was pure magic, the actors were fabulous, if I could have stayed seated and started the show from the beginning again I would have, absolutely breathtaking. The only suggestion I could make would be update the seats, I’m not a big guy but I have broad shoulders and it was a squeeze. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to come back!
