This was a Markham nature reserve a couple of years ago. It provided sort of wilderness. Now it has been converted to a community park, encircling by many houses. Beside the swan and goose, there are also other animals like turtles, rabbits, fox, snake, even coyote!

I didn't know what to expect. There is no parking on this side of the lake so we parked in the plaza beside it and found an empty spot that was right near the lake. It is absolutely beautiful and if you like a nice view this is great. Not much space to see the view other than the deck that you have to share. This is definitely not a spot that people can hang around as there isn't much space. There is an elder folks home beside it and there is a trail if you are looking for a paved trail. Don't recommend a long stay here.

Decent park in Markham, has a few short trails that take you away from the city. The lake is really a pond, and there is "toxic" algae as per the city signage. No fishing allowed. All in all, nice to go for a stroll.

Huge Park, was under construction, nice trail through the forest. Beautiful lake, did not see any swan's. There were geese, and other small wildlife. Splash pad was open.

I went there that day was little bit cold. Few people walked around. I love there. I was surprised we have that beautiful place close by neighbourhood. I will go there more often.

The place is small yet it’s not crowded… it’s not a well known place by people so the lake have some swans and gooses hanging around the lake which is super cute! Would definitely go there again!

A beautiful, quiet park good for hiking, running, or cycling. You will be accompanied by shorebirds. There is a children playground nearby. However, no picnic place. I didn't see swan in this season. Believe they will be back next spring. Updates: I came back in this summer. Yes, they do have swans.

nice trails and sightseeing, many annoying bugs though. it’s also rare to see uncommon animals but many common ones such as birds, rabbits, wild cats and dogs, and sometimes rodents can be found here. there is even a possibility that there are beavers, because i think i saw a beaver dam. the park is pretty unkempt, but there are a few good spots for a picnic, (away from all the bugs of course), and i like how there are other tiny lakes situated around the park.

Nice park for hiking in the neighbourhood. Water springklers are perfect for kids and pets in the Summer.

Very nice park around the area. Great combination of small trail, ponds and the houses around. Walking by the houses facing the pond, it almost feel like I am at a resort as the backyard of the house is fence with the Emerald green.

My favorite friendly neighborhood pond. I love to go for walks here all the time, it's so beautiful and peaceful. There are a few really great spots if you want to sit and enjoy the view. Highly recommend catching the sunrise, you might even see a few woodpeckers, chipmunks, or maybe a heron if you're lucky!

Great place to ride your bike and explore, watch out for the elderly and use your bike's bell to let them know that you're riding by. It's also connected to a splash pad and some great parks with skate park, tennis, and a more challenging kids' play gym. We explore the forest on a regular basis where you can see some frogs, beavers, etc. The only issue is that this pond does not have any drainage or inflow, so the water is a bit nasty. It needs human intervention to be cleaned.

Lovely and beautiful park but it's not well maintained as there are too many insects.

This park is more isolated and more preserved. It is quiet most of the time and offers a hiking-like experience at the door step. I really enjoy this park as there are also playgrounds for the kids nearby.

Great park! The views are really great! Very nice quiet park vibes. It probably takes 45 minutes to circumnavigate the lake. The paths are nice and smooth. Great for strollers and longboards/skateboards. There is a great lookout on the peninsula. There is some elevation there and the path turns into dirt and gravel on one section of the lake. Great lake and park!
