If there would’ve been a 0 starts I’d leave them a 0. Ngl I’m a club rat and I’ve seen a lot of places but this is the worst one. The security SCAMS YOU! Big time… They accept 20$ cash from each person for no reason. When we came inside the club, people working in there told us that ladies are free entrance. Hello??? Why did I pay then? They send you back to talk to the security (and don’t let you back in btw hehe). When I’ve tried to talk to one of the bouncers, he has literally sprinted away and never came back. Do not expect DJ to play anything for you. This club is also lying about VIP events so you would pay money. They can say that basketball, soccer, football players are inside. Meanwhile inside is only me and my other 3 friends who are no players btw came in to dance and enjoy the night. You also CANNOT get in unless you pay for the coat check. Anyways: 1. Security scams you 2. DJ pretends like you don’t exist 3. No one can be held accountable 4. 0/10 would not recommend. Trust my words, save your money. Summary: Great DJs but awful service and staff!! If you dress according to their code and can throw hundreds if not thousands on your mediocre club entertainment, then this is the place for you. Not me though. One star and not zero because the DJ they had was lit!! And also it won’t let me give zero. 🥹 Warning again: They have a strict dresscode!! Read this before going to Ultra Violet: If you are a guy going, you better put your name on the guest list and arrive before 11:30 - otherwise you’re getting rejected at the door. Expect security to give you a hard time after midnight. $50 per person after midnight (girls are always free) **this is a bribe friendly nightclub** Nav (head of security) and his sidekicks will let you in wearing anything and will not frisk you for a little extra money. ***this is a status nightclub*** Men of medium to lighter skin complexion will have an easier time dealing with security. The height, complexion of your skin, and branding of your clothing will all be assessed at the door by security and will be a large factor in determining whether you are allowed inside. *pros are decent music and lots of girls*

I went to ultraviolet a few times. The place is great, a lot of fun until I went to the bathroom. I wasn’t allowed to dry my hands without the bathroom attendant demanding for tip. Her name is Sheila and she’s a Mexican lady. She was extremely rude and disrespectful on many occasions. Telling me that I must pay her. She even went on and told me to mop up a drink on the floor. Even after tipping her $20, the next time she told me I can’t have paper towel or gum unless I tip again. I’ve heard her arguing with multiple customers, demanding for tips. Absolutely disgusting.

You can thank me later and do yourself a favor and not come here. We had bottle service and it was the worst experience ever. Our table had no space and they have worst security service and they can’t deal with any problems. We had two bottles untouched and they didn’t let us get back when we came down for a friend. Do not walk. RUN from this club. This place has a BAD reputation amongst locals. Horrible scene inside fostered by really choosy security and unfathomably long waits. 4 of my friends and I bought tickets to a Halloween night in advance ($30 each) to go dancing. We genuinely didn’t care where we went and so we accidentally stumbled upon Ultraviolet night club. This was a big mistake. We waited an hour to get into this club while being verbally abused by the security outside. Many of them accepting money bribes from large groups of people which only proceeded to hold up the line longer for the people that had actually purchased tickets. Do not walk. RUN from this place. My night was ruined and so was everyone else’s by the sounds of other groups conversations in line.

I had the very unfortunate experience of attending the Halloween event last night. I’ve NEVER had a night full of such utter disrespect. Not one employee was remotely helpful or respectful. It was clear that we could pay one of the bouncers $100+ or stand in the freezing cold even though we already had tickets. DJ was trash, Bouncers were worse. The toronto bar scene is wrecked because of spots like these where everyones on a power trip. Literally could not be more disappointed I wasted my money on something like this. Ultra violet sucks, wish I could give negative stars.

Recently went to Toronto and visited Ultraviolet. A man claiming to be the owner was walking around and pushing women when confronted he got nasty got in our faces and proceeded to call security to have my friends and I escorted out. Later on one of my friends found other reviews which stated that this is a normal thing at Ultraviolet. Black women are targeted and then treated rudely. I wouldn't go back to this place and I would advise people to stay away. There is a lot of discrimination going around and one day someone will get seriously hurt. Prior to going to Toronto I saw a lot of videos about safe places for black people in Toronto and at first I couldn't understand why the videos kept talking about "safe places"; but after going to Ultraviolet I see why. They need to do better and the manager pretending to be the owner needs to be fired and if that is the owner the place needs to be shutdown or take some lessons on proper customer service.

Friendly waitresses but that's the only good thing about this club. They charged us twice for coat check even after we spent $2400 on bottle service. That's called not appreciating your clientele and we will never go back there. Over priced and club was small

Worst club I’ve ever been to! I was in the line at 11:00PM and they didn’t let us in because they said it was at full capacity. We were at the front of the line (guest list). Our line did not move at all. People who got there at 12:30AM got in the club because they had bottle service. The bouncer wouldn’t let us in even when there was no line up at the bottle service line. We were 3 girls waiting in line in the freezing cold. I spoke to the bouncers multiple times and they kept making excuses and being disrespectful.

Ultra Violet’s staff is completely HOMOPHOBIC. The tall black guard profiled me by denying my entry. He proceeded to say “If you wanna act like a man, you’ll get treated like one too”. I am completely disgusted and hurt by this club’s homophobic profiling based on the assumptive gender roles and binaries.

Not only did they rip a group of me and my friends off, they (the bouncers) proceeded to hit one of us (a young female who was later hospitalized for a day) , directly in the face against a brick wall. The bouncers also seemed to be a little to handsy when dealing with female patrons including myself and friends. They are definitely prejudice even when it would not matter (I.e Halloween) it’s pretty disgusting. Both my friends and I waited in line for a whole 2hrs only to be rejected at the front of the line due to apparent intoxication despite none of us drinking at least for the past 2 hrs This place is terrible, unless you are paying for bottle service (even with a ticketed event (I.e Halloween) thADVABXE FOR) they will treat you like scum of the earth. DO NOT GO HERE. GOANT WASTE OF MONEY.

Seriously, a narrow single person width long staircase up to get both in AND out! DJ wanted to be paid or no birthday shout out. DJ was horrible. Three times the girls tried this club and the DJs were terrible each time. Bartenders can’t fix drinks. I have to explain how to make the drinks when I order them (at least they are honest and say they don’t know how). Still, you’re a bartender… hire trained staff and real DJs not trying to make side money hustling people on a birthday. Oh god, don’t get me started on the bouncers…do your job and don’t look for trouble and tips. Here’s a tip, you are terrible at your job. I highly do not recommend this over priced poorly staffed hole 🕳.

Honestly if there was a 0 option for the rating that's what I would have rated my experience. It claims to be open until 4am, we took 2 ubers across town to celebrate a friend's birthday. When we showed up the doormen were in an altercation with patrons before us. They did not handle it well, once that fiasco was over they were unable to separate their anger from the previous incident, they were unprofessional. They basically played good cop, bad cop routune. One told us that the club was closed so that the other could come in to tell us we had to pay an inflated price and we could go in if we paid them directly. Meanwhile we would have to pay again inside, they didn't have a stamp or ticket to say we paid. I'll pass, not naive enough to allow a business to take advantage of me or my friends. Do better!

This place is terrible. We were on guest list and showed up at 11:30. They said we were too early and told us to come back later. So we came back at 12:15, then they said we were too late for guest list and tried to scam us $40 to get in. Not paying $40 for a trash club

This place is the perfect example why people hate on king st. Everyone that works there have this God complex. Relax your job is to let people in. It's not worth the wait or the bribe. Everyone needs to stop letting shitholes like this get away with it by not being so desperate to get into such a basic club. So many other options.

Horrible!!!! I was one of the first 10 people to arrive at the club Waited in the line for 2.5 and wasn’t let in. And then I was told that they are at full capacity when ir started getting busy.

The bouncers at the front were really welcoming and friendly. Once you walk up the stairs there is a guy with glasses named Glen who is extremely RUDE. He demands you to coat check your jacket or else you get kicked out of the club. It was -5 outside last night (March 26th). I was freezing and I wanted to keep my jacket on. It’s pretty pathetic that he had to block the entrance with his body and arms to refrain me from going in the club without coat checking my jacket. Girls feel uncomfortable with Glen around. This isn’t the first I’ve heard of this guy and I finally saw it for myself. If you go there you’ll get what I’m talking about. Glen needs to go!

Unfortunately there’s a plus and minus for this club. This internal atmosphere and overall vibe is amazing. The sound system is top notch, the service and time for bottles to arrive is above par for the city. However - as someone with bottle service - waiting in line for over an hour, while others are allowed to skip the line and get in, is unacceptable to me. There’s 2 (maybe 3?) lines - Guestlist + regular entries & a bottle service lineup. Then what appears to be a “if you know someone who works here you can stand over in this lineup and we’ll let you in ahead of the others” lineup. As much as I enjoyed my time in the club, I will never return to this location under the same management until they get their entry fixed. Understanding it is a new club, however door entry is basic logistics. Inside 5/5 Outside 0/5 Staff 3/5 Overall I would give this place a 2/5.

I went to this place and they were homophobic to my girlfriend, the bouncer was saying homophobic remarks to her at the entrance and was extremely unprofessional and rude to us. NEVER GO HERE!!! HORRIBLE PLACE.. STAY AWAYYYYY

The club promised our group we would allowed in free cover and when we got there they demanded we pay 20 each to come in which made my group angry. The club was empty and no one was in there. Pretty pathetic. If you have a new club you'd assume you'd want business. Pretty sad for your club. Toronto has turned into this place where the club is empty and they put a lines outside to make it look busy. Toronto isn't even a world class city for clubbing. Smarten up.

I had an amazing experience! Ryan was the best at hooking me up with bottle service, with such short notice. I had a lot of fun and plan on coming back. The service and bartenders were very friendly and I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend this establishment. Love Nicky Low

Had a terrible night here. Bouncers let us some of our party and not others in because of dress code after taking our deposit money for a booth. Then proceeded to demand we pay thousands more as the ‘minimum payment’.

A lot of these reviews seem off, UV is a good spot for bottle service. Amazing staff, nice layout, music is great for a Saturday. Security does their job but letting a lighter not go in isn’t the best.

Terrible vibes from this place- low vibrational and dangerous people inside who come and work here. Robbed my 3k jacket from me and refused to give it to me until I called the police 10x. So many better options in the area, never worth the long lines and not worth a single penny!

Absolutely disgusting I am a junior doctor from the United Kingdom, in fact I’m an orthopaedic surgeon, I was invited by friends to this place and upon arrival, I was asked for ID which I provided, apparently a British passport and a driving license is not sufficient enough. Nevertheless, I waited in the queue for almost 40 minutes, while I waited I witnessed multiple people being allowed in because they knew the bouncer, in addition, I saw people handing the bouncer cash and being allowed in. I interjected and asked why they were being allowed in and he replied “bottle service dawg” I don’t drink however I offered to buy 5 bottles if I was allowed in, he looked at me funny and said “you have an accent” and that was it. This place is disgusting and I would not recommend it to anyone. You will not be granted entry and you will be disrespected.

0 stars. The conduct of the bouncers was not only unprofessional but also deeply concerning. There were instances of physical aggression and verbal abuse towards both males and females. Such behaviour is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment. I urge the management to address these serious issues promptly by reassessing their security personnel and implementing stricter protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons. The reason this place has a 2 star review says a lot and this is highly due to the security team based on these reviews.

Loved going here ! We got a booth and bottle service was amazing, the bottle girl was very attentive. We had a problem with our bill and they fixed it immediately. Great service we will definitely be returning.

If you want to get in make sure your wearing $1500 sneakers because the bouncers and management will only let you in then. Everybody from the bouncers and management at this place are terrible, I wouldn’t recommend hosting a party or even going. Much better options half a block away.

This DJ’s are trash. Of all the mainstream 2020’s music to choose they chose the worst. I was recommended and Ima tell that person to never recommend this place. It’s mediocre at best. I went here for a friends birthday last weekend and we had so much fun! The space has been completely renovated inside and looks super nice and modern. The music was great, we had a booth inside and service was amazing too! Definitely a fun spot and was super busy, going back for sure

Went here on a Saturday and got bottle service. This club is really hidden which is an added bonus and they have a state of the art sound system. The dj played really good music. The service was really great as well from Daniel. I enjoyed how the club stays open till 4am and later. Cant wait to return.

We came here to party and first thing you should know: they don’t allow bags or backpacks inside, there’s not even a coat check where you could save them so prepare to leave it either in your car or in the street. They don’t allow cigarettes or weed, so they will kick you out. Staff is not friendly, looks like you’re doing them a favor to go there.

I went to this club last night, was dressed nice but since I had a hat on I was turned away. There were people in hoodies and sweatpants that were let in but I guess my hat was too much. I was ready to spend lots of money in this club purchasing bottles and whatnot but will never be attending again. Ultraviolet, you tell me, is it really worth losing hundreds of dollars because of a baseball hat?

Rudest security staff and unfriendly atmosphere. Toronto can do way better. I’m embarrassed for anyone who works at this establishment and the comments say it all.
