The highlight of this place is that the vibe itself is a great replication of an actual market in Asia. Although it can be quite dark, once your eyes get used to it, it's a really wonderful place. The drinks as well were great and they tasted wonderful, particularly the Tokyo sunset. My issue was mainly that the food wasn't too great. Understandably, since it's a bar the food wouldn't be the highlight but for finger foods it was a little disappointing. The fries, chicken wings and beef skewers and meat pie were delicious. But the fish skewers and pad Thai were very lacking in flavor. Overall I would recommend this for people wanting to visit somewhere really cool and want to get some drinks.

This must be one of the top bars in the city! It’s so hard to find an amazing and unique vibe with good energy in Toronto and this one checks all the boxes. Fantastic cocktails, easy going ambiance, great music, lovely service and snackable dishes — what else could you want? Such a creative concept delivered at a highest quality!

A very special bar and must see in Toronto. If you're looking for something unique with great drinks, you should definitely check it out. We ordered the whole menu and everything was delicious.. especially the sloppy Joe, poutine and the meat pies.

Food is good but what they don't tell you is that they will kick you out if there's a reservation when the club part of the night kicks off. The high ball drinks were incredible. Lots of creativity goes into these. I just wish less ice went into the drinks...

Cool vibe, the drinks are ok - I would stick to their high balls over their cocktails Also please hire an appropriate DJ

Midnight Market, it brilliant. Alex and the other staff were outstanding. The location feels like it is taken straight out of the streets of Japan. I adored this place so much. The food was well priced as well as the drinks. Plus if you hang around on certain days you may find yourself in a new *SECREEET* Environment. Thanks to the team here for providing a great experience.

It does look like a street in Asia! Really cool decor, the food was pretty good and the drinks were great. The speak easy in the back has bartenders making lovely customized drinks, well worth a visit!

Love the decor and atmosphere on the inside. Great music selection too though drinks could be better. Came here a couple months back and they charge cover after 9pm which was surprising. Gets very busy after 10-11. Overall a good spot to check out but would recommend coming early to avoid line ups.

Stumbled into this place after Sneaky Dee’s gave us less than considerate service. This place is so cool! It felt like I was exploring a midnight market in Midgar. I ordered the Hawkers Mule, which I loved, and it came in a thick milk bottle glass which gave it a really cool vibe. The decor is fantastic and the music wasn’t overbearing. I highly recommend!

The food, drinks, music, staff, all needs improvement. Not impressed with the food, lacks flavour, actually the flavour profile is confusing. Drinks are borderline disgusting. Music is meh (the so called speakeasy, the music there was awful, speakers sounds broken) Staff is okay but needs more training Overpriced for what it is It was embarrassing bringing a friend from another country here (he’s kind of a celebrity)

Came with a small group of 5. Good vibes, but seating was a little tight. Fries were solid (fantastic, straight out of the deep fryer), but cocktails were a little on the sweeter side (ice volume was nearly the entirely of the drink). Good place for casual drinks and some light snacks.

This place issa total vibee! Love the Asian inspired street interior! I came in not too long after they opened, thinking it was gonna get packed super quick like their sister restaurant but it was quite the contrary unfortunately. Guess everyone comes in later in the night. Ranging from $5-$15, the menu is inexpensive with some being quite outstanding. The Curry Poutine was probably the best! Reminded me of Costco fries; super crispy! I'd also recommend the Da Lat Pizza. It was quite interesting and wasn't your ordinary dough based pizza. It's practically a giant fried egg with some cheese and dried shrimp, topped with sriracha and mayo. It had a nice thin crunch to it! It came out kinda cold/room temperature but still delicious. Server recommended the Black Lotus for drinks and it was pleasantly good!

Came here with a friend after eating somewhere else. Decor is super cool but it’s pretty dark. There’s a cute vending machine inside with Asian snacks. Lots of different kinds of seating whether it be high stools or a bench. Menu isn’t super big but good variety of different dishes. Food -Fries were okay but was expecting more bonito flakes and seaweed? Was mostly just fries and a dip -Crispy shrimp were super good! Highly recommend Drinks -Pineapple lo-tea was pretty sweet, I liked it more than my friend -Blueberry high-tea was alright but I prefer the pineapple one -Jeju dove -Ivy song was really good with a nice lemon flavour If you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out

came here for the first time to celebrate a friends birthday. absolutely loved the vibes inside this spot. we had a sit down area reserved for us to eat and have drinks and then later into the night the place became more of a club. DJ played great music, the dance floor was busy. they make great cocktails , also have beer on draft and in bottles. definitely coming back again soon. $10 cover to get in, they have coat check as well.

I wanted to try this place for a long time, the decoration is really nice, gives a real Chinese night market feeling I love the atmosphere. I love the detail and how some of the tables they have is actually a Chinese chess table. The food tastes really good too, the curry fish balls is really good, the cheesy prawn spring roll tastes really good and the grilled eggplant with dried shrimp and pork belly is pretty good too. The only thing is that I waited for a few mins but no one came to take my order so I had to go up to the front and tell them my order myself :(

Great bar. Fun mash-up of kitsch and cultural cues from across East Asia. I read about the outdoor night market theme and thought it might be tacky -- it's not. At all. It's a friendly atmosphere with cool details, surprises and loads of personality. Same owners behind Big Trouble on Dundas. They've developed a great formula.

I like the vibes, interior and games they have like a fortune cookie claw machine. It gets pretty packed on Saturdays at midnight. So try to come before 10 pm. Lost a star because my friends and I did not really enjoy the music or song transitions from the DJ (Insta handle - thatsogq). In my opinion it could be improved.

KYOTO SUNSET - the server wasn’t joking when she said this cocktail is extremely sweet. I had to dilute it with water and ice lmao. PINEAPPLE LO- TEA - love this, subtly sweet ice tea vibes. CURRY FISH BALLS - yummmm, the perfect crunchy snack.

Came here for dinner and the food was surprisingly decent portion sizes for the price. Got the fries which had such a good dip and kimchi bulgogi grilled cheese was amazing I would get it again. Jeju dove hiball was really nice. They have a claw machine for free but it was out of order when I went. I wouldn’t say the music was my preference personally, you couldn’t really dance to the rap music so we left earlier. It got really crowded as well. Coat check is only cash.

Vibe is very cool inside, a 10/10. The speakeasy had a delicious cocktail although expensive ($18) but got me drunk faster than ever before. The music inside the speakeasy was also amazing. However, the rest of the club was too packed and the music was mid.

The ambience/decor is really cool! Midnight market is my go-to for a fun night out with friends on a weekend night as there's a DJ on Fri/Sat. Just make sure to bring $10 for cover on weekend nights to avoid using the atm! :) Also the curry poutine is yummy!

Came a few times at night with my spanish homegirl and had an incredible time both times. Came again with a large amount of jamaican friends and were told by security we made a group of people so uncomfortable they left... we weren't drunk or loud or disrespectful the entire night. The owner or manager (a middle-aged woman) came over and let us know we could have more space if we liked & it wasn't a problem that we were there. The staff are lovely and the DJs are good, but the atmosphere due to the people that come here made my most recent experience likely my last. Really unfortunate because I do like this spot

Nice drinks, good décor and vibe, but I didn’t vibe with the music. This was on a Saturday night. Another reviewer said they went on a Friday night and they played 2010s pop and rap—that was totally different than what played when I was there. This was a consensus between me and three friends. The music transitions were choppy and awkward and the music repertoire one dimensional. More variety would be nice. I liked that there were tables just off in an alcove from the main music/dance area. Wished the dance area was bigger to make it less crowded.
