My childhood sweet store. Traditional with unique identity over the years. Just remarkable how restless it as been for so long. This is not a place to seat and relax it just sell the sweet made of beans.

This the original bakery and home of Pasteis de Feijao (bean cakes). They are the regional pastry of Torres Vedre. They also make them with chickpeas. Very nice, although I found them too sweet. Various biscuits are also available. Really really yummy.

These are the best pasteis, whether bean or chickpea, you can't go wrong. Every year when I visit from overseas, I take some back.
