Torrington has some great food options and Sawyers was definitely one of them. I just got a burger, but they really cooked it right, which sadly isn't always the case. If your a medium rare lover and have been often handed a medium well, I know you feel me, it's so frustrating! Truffle fries cooked well and were tasty, I'd like to come back and try other options. Staff was friendly and great, and the owner, cool guy, was really nice and very knowledgeable of the area and gave great advice and recommendations for local services and restaurants, if you're new to the area I'd highly suggest visiting here and if you're a local.... well you're probably already there!

Beautiful open-air bar tucked away where you will have to look for it. Bartender was excellent and friendly. Spent a lot of time talking through the fresh drink ingredients he was excited to put into a cocktail. Didn’t eat, because we had plans, but food looked amazing. We will definitely be back to try the food.

Shrimp and grits. Risotto with vegetables and chicken. The food was really good, atmosphere even better 😍

Fast friendly service. Good food and nice atmosphere make for a very nice night out. We have been to Sawyers a few times now and we have not been disappointed yet. I can recommend the burger and wings. We were lucky one night to go when they had live music and the that was awesome.

This is one of those diamonds in the rough. I had passed by a number of times without thinking anything of it. But, looking for something new, I gave it a shot. Very happy I did. It has the feel of a local pub. A bunch of beers on tap. Friendly bar staff. Casual but nice enough for a date night. I had the salmon burger and it was exceptionally good. Cooked perfectly so it wasn't dry. Lots of flavor. I'd recommend it. Next time, I'm trying the spicy shrimp appetizer...next table over had it and it looked really good. I'll be back. Worth trying if you're in Torrington and interested in something off the beaten path.

Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Food was really tasty and our server was very polite and friendly. My wife and I will definitely be back. Nice spot for a casual dinner date.

Bartenders Nina and Hannah are absolutely amazing human beings! They are the reason we have come back multiple times and will continue to! Tip ur Bartenders they are amazing!

Great atmosphere and service. The food is really good with a variety of options. Reasonably priced. Owner extremely friendly.

Came on a Monday night. Wide selection of liquor and tap beers. Friendly and upbeat staff. We had the sweet heat wings which were perfect, Mac and cheese bites, truffle fries, and the fish tacos. Everything was great but be warned the tacos do have some heat! I can definitely imagine how jumpin this place gets on weekends.

Just in from out of town for two days and googled best bar in Torrington. Yup this is it! Great feel and ambience. I didn’t eat anything but I did watch food getting served and it was much better than one would expect from a local bar. Please keep up the great work!

Walking in, the exquisite chill music set the mood, our server, Hannah was the best, so attentive and served the best drinks. The food was out of this world and just what we needed after a fall hike. When I’m back in Torrington, will definitely be back!

This place was delicious for lunch! Very small but excellent food and drinks. A hidden gem. Really cheered us up on a not so great day!

Its a great place to go after a long day to have a drink and have somethin to bite and unwind. The people are friendly bartenders and cooks are amazing. And the owner is chill. So i would recomend anyone to stop by and have a drink and chill after a long day. I know i am lol.
