We were blessed to have some local friends introduce us to the amazing food here. I wish I knew more about the names of all the dishes we tried, but it doesn’t matter because I ate all of them. They are all good! Especially their unique rice filled with fish. I will always remember this 6 course dinner.

Had the 5500 course dinner -- super tasty, and dessert options were amazing -- pudding, brown sugar ice cream, matcha/red bean dish. staff was really kind and accommodating of vegetarians !

If you stay at Shibuya stream hotel and don’t know where to eat, I would recommend this restaurant. I didn’t make a reservation and received very good service also food. For the first time visitors, we will normally go for the tasting menu (8 dishes at 7,500 yen). I have to warn you that the meal is very big especially the last clay pot rice. Some of the waitresses can speak English. There is English menu.

圓 弁柄 @shibuyastream_official is our local go to spot for a healthy Japanese lunch. Wonderfully attentive and kind staff, beautiful views, and, most importantly, delicious, hearty fare. There is something magical happening in the miso soup. The accompanying dishes are prepared with love. The roasted green tea has just the right smokiness and temperature. Highly recommended. Hope to bring family and friends for dinner.

This was the worst restaurant experience we have had in Tokyo. The empty tables should have been our first clue when we walked in. The chicken dish my daughter ordered was not cooked properly and was raw in spots. The tempura I ordered was unevenly cooked and the spices were all in one spot. They also charged a crazy sitting fee on the bill in addition to the entree prices, which were ridiculous for the tapas sizes served. When the bill came and I discussed this with the management, I was told that it is common for Japanese to eat chicken undercooked and that the sitting fee was standard. Horrible ending to an otherwise great time in Tokyo. We paid the bill without further argument just to escape.

Great service and real, good food. The mackerel and the cod were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The sashimi is fresh.
