Visited with my 4th grade children. It was free. Photography inside the building is prohibited. The exhibitors are polite and the exhibits and explanations are interesting even for adults. There were a lot of interesting things, so I bought a 500 yen catalog. I will go again. On weekdays, you don't need a reservation and it's easy to go.

Reservations are required. You can learn mathematics knowledge learned in junior high and high school through experiments. Photography is not allowed inside the store❌

Students from the mathematics department are always on hand to provide explanations. When I visited, a group of high school students were having fun, and students in the mathematics department were having discussions using the whiteboard. I felt it was valuable not only to see the exhibits, but also to be able to see university students like that.

Great collection of puzzles and mathematical games. Too bad it's all in Japanese.

I took my daughter, an elementary school student, and she said that all of the exhibits were wonderful and had deep meaning, that she could touch and understand them, and that she enjoyed them. It would be even better if the staff's explanations were a little more refined.

This is an experiential spot where you can learn all kinds of mathematical theorems while having fun, including puzzles that help you visually understand the Pythagorean Theorem and pachinko machines that help you understand how the binomial theorem works. There were several guides who provided detailed explanations tailored to the age and level of understanding of the guests. I think elementary school students and adults who love math will enjoy it.

I think it's a good facility for children to enjoy learning mathematics. The university staff member also tried his best to explain things to me, but my 4-year-old couldn't understand them. The university student also seemed annoyed that the child did not understand, and disappeared in the middle of the explanation. If you didn't like it, I wish you'd said something before you left, and I'd like someone who loves teaching children to work there.

It's only one floor, so it's not very big, but it's packed with content, and 2-3 hours will pass quickly as you experience each exhibit one by one and listen to the explanations. The contents are hard to believe for a free facility. I am grateful that the students from the university of science explained this carefully and in an easy-to-understand manner. This facility is recommended not only for elementary and junior high school students, but also for high school science students. You should be able to experience the meaning and usefulness of what you learned in math class. Photography is not allowed inside the museum, and catalogs are sold for 500 yen. (I bought it, of course.) However, since I don't know much about it, I would be happy if they sold more detailed guidebooks and mathematical teaching tools for the exhibits as souvenirs.
