Visited on holiday for one session as I'd heard the boulders were decent. Good climbing, but the registration fee of ¥2200 is an absolute con and had to pay entry of ¥1850 on top of that. No justification provided for the registration fee at all. Only accept cash, no showers, no stretching area, no training area, no drinking fountain. Registration should be scrapped. I'm sure there will be plenty more unhappy tourists next year visiting to see the Olympic climbing.

Despite registering at another b-pump gym, another registrstion fee is required at this gym. It is really pricey to climb. Coolest wall is the large overhanging one. There is a nice competitive wall. Smaller than the one at akihabara. Overall b-pump targets foreigners for the registration fees. Staff are not really friendly. skip if you can find another gym to try.

Probably the most high quality bouldering gym in Tokyo. Many of the most famous climbers in Japan and around the world can be seen here. The routes are more on the modern coordination side. They are gold importers so they have fresh expensive holds at their disposal. Grades are ridiculously sandbagged.

Cool gym and great layout as well. Friendly and helpful staff here. A good range and levels of climbs I found. No cave, but some real good inclines. Love the area to wash feet as well.

I occasionally use this store when the Akihabara store is closed, but the reception staff is always very rude and unpleasant. Even if you wait for a long time when you enter or leave the store, only one person will respond to you, and the other staff members will be talking nonsense behind you. It doesn't move even if I call out to it. The receptionist was very rude and I couldn't understand what they were saying. I think people who go there for the first time will find it difficult. I'm not saying that you should serve customers politely, but I do want you to have at least a minimum of moderation when interacting with others. Overall, the student spirit is still there. As long as there are bad staff, even if new staff are brought in, it will have a negative impact, so I don't think it will get better unless the staff is renewed. Sometimes the hold on the wall has come off and only the screws are exposed, which is dangerous.

World Class Bouldering Gym. The best gym I have ever been to. Such a high density of Good and Hard Boulders. Also really good routesetting style in all grades. Totally enjoyed every Boulder 😊

For a bouldering gym occupied only one floor inside a commercial building, this might be one with best floor plan that I had visited so far. Large amounts of problem for climbers of various levels, yet spacious enough to chill between climbs.

This is a modern bouldering-only climbing gym with a comp wall, a variety of slab and 'roof'' type climbing areas and a seemingly endless variety of holds and routesetting styles. I am a basic climber but the comp wall typically features IFSC style bouldering problems (the Japan Bouldering Tour competition was held here during my visit). Different walls feature differing amounts of texture (the comp wall is varnished wood). The shop has shoes and chalk etc. I bought some Korean climbing shoes so I would have something for small edges that I could swap out from my more aggressive, soft shoes that I brought with me. During one of my visits two of the Olympic climbers coming to Tokyo for 2020 were sending problems in the gym.

🌟🌟, worth a detour. Crying because I didn’t meet Janja 😢 It's very big, the dust is very thick, and there are many experts. The locker area is the dressing area. There is no water dispenser. The cost is not low. I come here just to see if I can meet the national players through luck. Otherwise, if you just climb, go to the Akihabara branch, which is farther from the city. closer.

Deserves a 4.5, one of the best bouldering gym in Tokyo. For a 5 stars they should break the smoking area and make it a hang-boards place.

Cool bouldering but definitely hard. For a 1 day first visit, you have to basically pay double because of the registration fee. Saw 3 famous climbers, so that was cool, but don't be weird about it. In my indoor gym, I climb V6-8, but I was struggling with the equivalent V3-4 here.

The gym didn't disappoint: while the grading scale is a sort of a joke, the setting and hold selection were top notch. Being surrounded by strong climbers trying their hardest is a pleasure in itself.

Friendly staff but smaller than expected. If you haven’t been to a b-pump gym before you will have to sign up (2200 yen) on top of entry (2200 yen) on the weekend. Very expensive!

Aside from the coolest elevator wall wrapping I have ever seen, this gym is pretty great. It's on the fourth floor of a building right outside the train station in Ogukibo. The staff are friendly and helpful and the gym is clean and well run. They have lots of good gear if you're looking to buy gear and have rental shoes and chalk on hand (though I dread every encounter I ever have with rental shoes. It's just not the same. You slip off everything).

Love climbing at this gym. There is usually at least one English speaking employee. They offer a discount for students. As another cool addition, of the 5 or 6 times I've been there has only been one visit where there weren't pro climbers present. That being said you by no means need to be pro to enjoy the facility! I recommend this gym to everyone!

Cool gym, as others have stated need to pay a sign up fee, this is the same as most European gyms and it carries to other bpump gyms. The setting is hard, but very interesting even the lower grades are fun climbs. Everyone is very respectful and there is a great atmosphere. Bonus is that the shop is very reasonably priced and had a great sale rack. Would recommend for anyone wanting a climb in Tokyo.

A pair of shoes worth 20,000 yen was stolen on the first day I dropped them off here. I gave this rating because there was no response at all and they were uncooperative.

The complaints about poor customer service are definitely true, but you don't visit a climbing gym for that anyway. I understand that you would appreciate good intorduction during first few attempts at the sport, but for that just go somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend it for anybody climbing less than half a year. Besides, grading is of course hard, but if that's what's matter for you than switch the scale to match how you feel it should be. The thing is, climbing skill remains the same, regardless, whether we call 3 kyuu boulder V3, or V4. Anyway, there are still considerably more boulders on harder end of the scale, so I highly recommend it to anyone with right skill and looking for a challange. Gym is missing any additional equipment, like hangboards, weights, rollers etc. There is not even a pull up bar there. This is hilarious considering, there was enough space to set up a smoking room.

Great setting, definitely much harder than a regular bouldering gym. (This is comparing with all of Montreal gyms+surrounding & a bunch of other Tokyo gym (including other b pumps) If you don't appreciate the setting and difficulty you're losing out on ego. This is a gym to train hard to climb hard!

One of the very best in the world bouldering gyms where you can regularly encounter international and Japanese stars.

The climbs were super challenging but amazingly well designed ! The staff was super kind and welcoming! English was well handled and communicated here! The gym was a great size and the comp wall looked so cool! My only reason why I'd give it a 4 star and not a 5 is the rental shoes were very old, torn apart and didn't smell so great. Other than that, if I was local and had my own shoes I'd be coming here often 🤩🤩🤩 well worth the visit

Very good place with great routes for all levels! But a bit expensive, especially to become a member.
