The cozy, traditional setting takes you back in time to old Japan, as skilled chefs grill the food. The menu has a variety of tender chicken and other meats, including popular options like tsukune and negima. Enjoy your meal with their selection of sake to make it complete. Friendly service and focus on quality make it a must-visit place for anyone wanting a memorable, authentic Japanese dining experience.

A Tokyo friend learnt of this this place from his colleagues many years back and brought us here for dinner. Thus, for an authentic local experience, this is the original one amongst the many outlets. Our experience yesterday in wintry February, go for the 10 course chicken with beer and "white crane" sake. The aversion to usual parts of the chicken that I would normally have is somewhat disarmed by the exquisite taste in all of them. The way the portions are tenderized, salted and seasoned, grilled to a succulent tenderness defies how one would normally associate these 'unwanted' parts that are normally avoided. It was definitely an awesome local dining experience.

Tonight's dinner was an absolute delight! The food at this place was not only incredibly delicious but also left a lasting impression on my taste buds. Every bite was bursting with flavor and made me savor each dish even more. Not only was the food outstanding and the service top-notch, but the price was also surprisingly reasonable. It's rare to find such high-quality cuisine at such affordable prices, making it an even more attractive dining option. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of a remarkable dining experience. I can't wait to visit again when I come back to Tokyo again !

I love their food so much I went 3 times in 7 days. The chicken is grill to perfection. Crispy on the outside, juicy in the inside. They have many parts of the chicken that's not available every where. Especially love their chicken butt and neck. Can't wait to go back. Also, very friendly staff and great service.

But there's so much more that Tokyo has to offer from ramen to traditional izakayas to katsu and moreIn Tokyo, the typical 9-5 office worker has a name: the salaryman. But instead of 9-5, Japanese Salarymen work 9-9 (at least), always wear black suits and white shirts, and when they’re finally done with the workday they drink the night away with co-workers and clients before waking up and doing the exact same thing the next day. (There are even ads on the streets pleading with salarymen not to pass out and sleep on the sidewalks or trains.) One staple spot in the Salaryman-infested Shinbashi neighborhood is Torishige - it’s a yakitori restaurant, which is a common type of place to eat grilled chicken skewers, but this one is a standout. Get the tsukune (ground chicken) or momo niku (chicken thigh) if you want to play it safe, or get adventurous with raw chicken sashimi appetizer or hatsu (heart) skewers for a real treat. Feel free to drink too much and take a nap on the streets for the real salaryman experience after your meal - 💙💙💙💙💙Highly recommended this place

Absolutely the best yakitori I have had. The attention to detail is beyond belief, I haven't had this type of service in a long time let alone in a yakitori place. We had dinner at the counter and it was great the performance with the yakitori and the service from the boys behind the counter. Only think I could say is there is cheaper yakitori out there... Actually a lot more out there but the quality and taste here won me over the costs. Absolutely recommend it.

I like how the food tasted so fresh and simple. the food was really good. They let you taste the chicken instead of drowning it with sauce. It gets even better after you put the pepper on it. Service was awesome and pretty fast. I like how they would grill the meat in front of you. Most of the negative reviews are about the prices. Which I think was not that much.

The place you can have grill chicken and chicken hot pot in the same time. beer and Japanese wine are provided. The sake selection is limited. You might need some basic understand of Japanese in this restaurant. chicken sashimi is very good. Try it if you don't have it before. Chicken hot pot is bigger than I imaged. I will suggest for a party more than 2 people.

A grill bar specialising in chicken. You can literally get any part of the chicken on a stick, grilled - breast, thigh, mince, liver, gizzard, skin, etc. You have to be open minded and have an appreciation for this particular type of cuisine to appreciate it. They also do a very nice tomato and onion salad, which I think is also flavoured with chicken stock. Overall I really enjoyed the experience.

Very good at reasonable price, but everything was too soft and fatty. I had course and if I were to visit this place again, I’ll probably order it by piece.

Best yakitori I have tried in Tokyo. Although no cheap, worth the price. Love the atmosphere. Other than grill chicken pieces, I love their chicken over rice and potato salad. Food in this branch tastes much better than the one in Daimaru at Tokyo station.

Literally the best yakitori we had in Japan. The wait is long but it’s for a reason and so worth it. This is not your typical izakaya, the yakitori here is THE main event! Very warm service by the owner themselves and chefs and other staff. Highly recommended.

Typical yakitori experience. Ive had better ones in tokyo. Biggest annoyance after the meal was the hidden charge ~$10. No warning when you walk in. English menu also had no prices for individual sticks. Hungry after the course set meal, yikes.

The staff are very very friendly and welcoming- quick too. The food is phenomenal. I've never had such good chicken, it's so good you can most likely have it raw. The drinks are superb- the sours, beer and whisky are so lovely. Also best ginger ale I've had for a while, good burn and it tastes like ginger instead of processed sugar. :) 100% would recommend it to anyone who wants a great chicken experience. It's sensational!

Ok, so the place seems really overrated. The meat is average at best. The prices are nowhere to be found, until they bring you the bill. Turns out it's the most expensive yakitori I've ever been :]] Service is good. But overall wouldn't recommend

Yakitori was really yummy but portions are relatively small for the price - plus no price list. We paid over 10,000 yen for about 15 sticks, 2 sides and 1 beer.
