One the best eye clinics I've been to in Japan. There's usually a wait, but otherwise everything is great. And they sell contacts lenses next door which is really nice. The customer service and English ability of the staff was really good!

The staff and doctors here are always kind to me, so I don't agree they are rude to foreigners. This clinic is very convenient and high-tech, and the doctors take the time to explain things. I don't feel the waiting time is excessive at all.

English friendly. I went to another Opthalmologist to get contacts and was told I couldn't get my perscription from them. So I came here for a second opinion. The medical office is cash only. I called to book an appointment in the morning and the receptionist spoke very good English, which was a relief because my Japanese skill is bad. When I arrived they printed the forms in English for me and escorted me into the examination room and the technician spoke very good English as well. She guided me through the exam and contact lens test. The doctor didn't speak English, but the tech accompanied me and translated everything. I am very greatful for the service. It was above and beyond what I was expecting. Your team is AMAZING!

The receptionist, the testing staff, and the doctor were all calm and courteous. It is also conveniently accessible via the B11 exit elevator of Shinjuku Station on the Marunouchi Line. The elevator hall is a little small, but clean. The waiting room was quite crowded, but I was able to wait without stress.

WHAT A TERRIBLE CLINIC ! DO NOT VISIT HERE ! As a staff here, you should never ask a foreigner to go to other Chinese or English clinic with terribly impatient attitude as long as they are legal in Japan. Although speaking slowly by Japanese,Im using your laguage to show my respect ,and look what you did during the conversation? Full of pride ,discriminate, and impatience. YOU MEAN JAPANESE ,SHAME ON YOU .

This is such a cramped clinic with the number of customers they serve at the same time. Even if you make the first reservation of the day, expect long delays. Why? There were over 10 other people with the same reservation time as me with only a small number of staff. They don't understand the concept of reservations. The equipment used looks like it's from the last century. It's so outdated that I was constantly complaining about the quality of the prescription recommended to me. I had to push and push for a better prescription to just try and see correctly. In the end, I gave. The only good point about this place is the staff who served me. She tried to help as much as possible. After a staff member checks your eyes, then you go and see an optometrist. She sat on her throne in her tiny little office, she didn't greet me when I walked in, then she gave me some ums and ahs after looking at my eyes, and that's it. Hello? What about my prescription??? That's why I am here? Check that, please! I'm still searching for an acceptable clinic in Tokyo, but most Google reviews are negative for so many clinics. This industry needs a shake-up. On the other hand, buying glasses at a chain store is a wonderful experience because they have the latest technology to help you find the best prescription for your eyes and they really care about making their customers satisfied. It's so ironic because they don't have optometrists. I wonder if we need eye doctors at all. Good luck finding a good clinic.

I went here for redness in my eye that I thought was inflamed. First, it is a very busy clinic, as it is very popular, so I made a reservation. It was easy to find, just to the left of the huge Mizuho sign near ALTA. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke English. The wait was a bit, but as busy as it was, not a surprise. I was called and did a basic eye check first, including glaucoma air puff test. The nurse was very friendly and was using English. I then waited for the doctor, whom is the director, as I made a reservation with him. Although he spoke limited English, there was a nurse who translated. There was no communication problem. The doctor did a thorough check, and sure enough, my eye had inflammation. He prescribed some eye drops, and I will check back in two weeks. I highly recommend this opthalmology clinic.

The clinic is very easy to find. The staff is helpful and pretty efficient. The place does get busy and they are constantly moving through patients so expect to be waiting quite a bit. I came in for a contact lenses consultation and I was there for about 1.5hrs on a weekday afternoon. Not everyone speaks English but they have some English speaking staff to help out.

The staff were nice. Not sure if the doctor is good or not as I had a small problem and he told me quickly what is wrong, Cannot judge yet. He explained clearly what is wrong and what needs to be done. BUT !!! the waiting time is just horrible. I made reservation and went on time, but had to wait almost 2 hours. This was my first in Japan and I live here for 10 years. Yes the english service is quite good and staff are nice, but I think I will prefer somewhere else where I can reserve and have a more professional service (time-wise). Note: I would say it is 5 star if the waiting time was less than 30 mins

The doctor's assessment did not even last for A MINUTE. Seriously! I was so shocked, she just did a 10 seconds penlight exam'n (no exaggeration) and then said "There's nothing wrong". 👎

I chose this clinic because I was looking for an English speaking Eye Clinic in Tokyo to get my contact lense prescription. Positive: Staff were friendly and made an effort to communicate with non-Japanese like me. Negative: First, I was quite perplexed at how outdated the equipment they used during the eye exam to calculate lenses prescription compared to when I had my eye tests back in my home country Australia. They don't have a phoropter but they gave me a goggle to wear and then nurses manually insert the lenses inside to calculate the prescription. Second, I'm not sure why the test was conducted by nurses, not the ophthalmologist themselves. Back in Australia, all eye tests were conducted properly by eye professionals such as optometrist or ophthalmologist so they could give you the right prescription (or at least an intern to do the exam). Third, I feel that my prescription may be slightly incorrect as the lenses are a bit weak. My last contact prescription few years ago was -4 for both eyes but they gave me -3.75. That's why I couldn't see far ahead very clearly. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this clinic to foreigners.

The receptionist was in a bad mood from start to finish and made me feel very bad. Also, I was interested in the treatment called Eye Hot Wack, which was introduced on the website, and when I told the doctor who examined me, he said, ``I don't know because I have never seen the website myself.'' I did. I don't think he's a bad doctor because he was thorough in his examinations and explanations, but I think it's bad that he doesn't understand the services he provides.

The doctor's skills are reliable, but you may have to wait, so you may need to be careful if you have an appointment afterward. Since OTC is used, the results of fundus examination etc. are accurate.

The director doesn't really care about anything other than contact. I felt very bad. I think it's possible because it's right in front of the station.

I made an online reservation for my first consultation with Director Shinkawa at 5:30pm. I arrived at 5:20pm and was tested immediately after checking in. It took less than 10 minutes, and after the test was over, I waited for an examination, but I had to wait an hour, and even though I had made an appointment with Director Shinkawa, I was sent to a part-time doctor named Terauchi. Even though he says that he has glasses but can't use them because they make him feel uncomfortable, he only says that he has no choice but to get used to them. However, even though he says that his eyesight is clear with both eyes, updating won't be a problem, he ends up saying the exact opposite, asking what to do if a person jumps out from his bad eye. There are no solutions proposed at all, but what they say keeps changing. Above all, the high-pressure attitude was really unreasonable. It's really a shame because the reception staff and the staff who tested me were very nice. I didn't want to have any further conversation with the overbearing person, so I refused the examination and went home. There is no point in making an appointment with a doctor and I will never go there again.

Such a bad and rude attitude for the customer. One of the ladies who talked with has such a right attitude and explained to me sounded like I should have known the system there. Never used again.

The receptionist and the person who measured my eyesight were very kind and nice. However, when the doctor touched my eyelids during the examination, I was very uncomfortable when he said to himself, ``It's kind of slimy. Are you wearing something?'' (I was wearing foundation, but not eye makeup. (Not available)

Very bad. The doctor I consulted clearly wasn't interested in understanding my problem (retinopathy): within a 30sec she said, we cannot do anything. She didn't ask questions about the conditions bringing the retina injury. No English speaking staff. I was confused about the instructions reading the board during eye check. Lucky I got assisted by partner to translate. Clearly not interested and I had to ask for a recommendation letter to see a retina specialist. Finally, the doctor didn't reply to my goodbye ...

Overall experience was amazing. It’s not so far from the station. English friendly. My perception was skewed at first because of the negative reviews I have read here. My experience when I first went proved to me that all of what I read really was subjective. I went on a Sunday morning and was assisted by Saitou. I asked if it’s okay for me to share her name in my review and she said it’s alright for her. You only wait for 5-10 minutes and then she does all the eye tests with much patience. All in English. You won’t feel things are being rushed. I went in as a first timer contact lens user and there was a lot of trial and error with different lenses and she did not mind. Make sure to initiate questions and really ask your concerns. You would assume they would immediately provide you with a solution and a case as they give you trial lenses but I had to ask for it. They apologize for not offering it immediately. They handed one to me for free. I bought my prescription contacts in the store right next to the clinic. I also read that they only accept cash payments from a review from a year ago but I was able to pay for both the lenses and the check-up itself using my card.

I had a woman in her 70s give me a diagnosis, but it was a complete scam. I wanted to see a doctor for a contusion on my eyeball, but because I had a dark eye mask 2 weeks ago, he didn't see me at all, and he didn't even answer any questions about my symptoms, so I just had to do a classic vision test, which cost me a lot of money. was taken. If you don't want to see a doctor, you should refuse from the beginning. I don't think they just want to get money. I thought he was the worst kind of doctor to take money from people in need. I said I would pay the bill and leave if she apologized one last time, but she did not apologize until the end. I'll be going to another hospital soon. I will never go there again.
