What a fabulous week I've just spent on a retreat at La Taillede. The location is exquisite, nestled above the clouds in the French Pyrenees and an oasis of calm and gentle quietude that Ali & Matt have created up here. We spent the week practicing yoga, meditation and chanting with our gracious retreat leader Audrey, fed like gods by our chef Clara, open-hearted massage by Audrey the onsite masseur and our fabulous host & hiking guide Ali who so kindly shared her knowledge and passion for the area and her flock of animals. The hike with the donkeys was a particular highlight, as was jumping in the rather chilly mountain river! I can't leave a review without mentioning the animals as they play a large part of La Taillede's charm. Biquette the goat was entertaining, as was Lovely the cat - a constant companion, and Apollo and Tai the dogs our comrades when we left the farm, with or without Ali. A gorgeous and tranquil escape in the mountains. This family friendly working farm has the most charming accomodation with unrivalled views across the valley. We stayed in the stunning yurt which gives you total privacy and a magical family holiday. It is fully kitted out with kitchen and eco-shower but were treated to lovely hospitality and phenomenonal local food. We even had fresh bakery deliveries every morning. We took our food scraps to feed the pigs much to the kids delight. Ali, Matt and family will give you the warmest welcome. Would recommend 100%. We will be back!

La Taillède est un ancien Mas imposant rénové avec goût et talent. Il est isolé et souffre d'un accès non bituminé long et difficile. Il est composé d'appartements parfaitement équipés mais sombre car "enterrés" avec pour compenser des balcons ou terrasses jouissant d'une vue plongeante sur la nature environnante. Ici, il vaut mieux profiter du calme des lieux et de l'environnement immédiat et oublier sa voiture. C'est la raison pour laquelle beaucoup de personnes viennent pour des retraites ou des stages de Yoga. Personnellement nous avons trouvé le lieu inaccueillant
