Friendly service and very nice food! When they say Thai hot it’s actually hot (unlike many other places we’ve tried). Good prices and portions too. Small amount of off street shared car parking available too.

Such a great little restaurant! They were very Knowledgeable about vegan options and most items could be made vegan. Food was hot, fresh and aromatic. I also ordered takeaway recently which was well priced and ready when I arrived. The Thai Green Curry with coconut rice is my go to! Absolutely love it and Thai smile house makes it perfect! My husband loves the pad Thai and the kids enjoy the roti. Looking forward to trying some deserts next visit. Will be returning again for sure.

This place exceeded all of our expectations from the moment we walked in. The owner greeted us joyously and warmly as he welcomed us to his restaurant and the town. He helped us order and gave us beer and food recommendations. We ended up ordering the Golden Sacks as the starter (see pic below), and the Red Curry (medium spice) and the Ginger Chicken Stir Fry for our mains. The food was delicious, especially the curry! I would give this place 6 stars if I could.

Overall great food. Priced decently. Not too expensive not cheap either. Food quality was quite nice. Service needs improvement as it was quite slow/unresponsive but not bad either. Would say its a nice take away option- dining isn't amazing experience

Great, friendly customer service. The Green Curry I ordered was fantastic, and I was impressed that they have the option to make your food "Thai Hot". Very happy atmosphere, and the food was on par. For someone who's been to Thailand, it can be difficult to find authentic tasting Thai food, but Thai Smile House nailed it.

Was pleasantly surprised by this place and would happily go again! Very friendly and helpful service, and a menu with refreshingly unique options like the Thai Artistry which was roti served with a selection of sweets to play and create with (very fun), and a Thai Iced Tea with Kai rice liqueur (available in standard or Lychee).

Don't usually rate restaurants poorly but sorry the garlic fried rice served at lunch today costing $15 was just very poor. Didn't taste very good and barely any effort placed into making it. Understand that other dishes may be better based on the general star review but honestly would expect more from a restaurant that has received a 4.6 start rating on Google.

I love the pad thai and fried rice here. I moved to Townsville for university and miss my mum's cooking a lot. I ordered a vegetarian pad thai and it tops my mum's! It is very rare when something beats my mums cooking. There is always good service here too and very accommodating to vegetarians :)

We are new to the area, enjoy "authentic" Thai food, but in all the restaurants we have tried over the years, this is by far the worst attempt at thai cooking we have ever tasted. We ordered for lunch: Dim Sims, the meat was mashed pork mince with no additions wrapped in mushy noodle (4) NO flavour. Thai chicken wings: small chicken nibbles in bread crumbs, nothing more, tasteless (8) Spring rolls: minimal filling that had no taste, cooked in pastry that's been frozen, too tough to get your teeth through (4). "Special" fried rice: we haven't eaten it yet, bought to have with our dinner tonight. The rice is brown, looking into the container I can see 1 piece of chicken, 1 piece of broccoli and 1 piece of julienne carrot. Are you serious? This rubbish was $43.00.. never again!!

This is a popular restaurant which had many customers on a Thursday night. Portions were generous and we were very full. The flavours are authentically Thai but you can ask for mild to hot depending on your tolerance for chilli.

Best Thai food in Townsville by far. Ordered the pineapple fried rice, larb and green curry. Its delicious because the cook is particular to retain the authenticity of Thai dishes. They even ask you how spicy do you want it- Thai hot! Do order their special Thai tea (alcoholic and non alcoholic options available), but it is different and so refreshing. Like a Thai twist on iced lemon tea. Service was excellent and the owner was really friendly, too!

Dined at the Thai Smile with family last night and again was an absolutely sensational night. Food was great and service was fantastic. Can’t recommend enough. Nick Toomulla Beach.

Been there 3 times for lunch and each time there is always too much sweetness in their dishes...1st time Pad Thai with prawns, overcooked prawns and sauce much too sweet for my taste - he explained that they used real tamarind but all I could taste was sugar, 2nd time I had prawns in a pond (??) & 3rd time it was supposed to be a prawn & coconut mild curry but it had lots of separation with the oils & the peanut sauce - it wasn't a very palatable looking dish, & I love Thai food, but I won't go back.... service nice & friendly but slow, husband's dish coming first each time & mine much later....

As always the quality of the meals are outstanding. The menu incorporates all your favourites and also provides interest with use of seasonal produce. I've been a fan for 12 years now and still believe that Jan and her team deliver the best authentic Thai Cuisine in Queensland if not Australia. Big call but the consistent high quality food and great service speaks for its self.

This is the 2nd visit here in a week & the food is as delicious as the first visit. Fresh & so tasty, just live the food here. *****
