Gorgeous pet friendly park that caters to every need. Beautifully situated park set amongst lush greenery and lake. Accommodation is neat and tidy. The management are a cheerful lot who are welcoming and accommodating. Great value for price and highly recommend for anyone. Will definitely be back !

I did not enjoy our stay here as we had a site that backed on to Attlee street with 3/4 drive through 24 hour fast food outlets. Cars noise and lights and every loud car in the city went down the small street every night (all night). and it has a roundabout so the lights shon directly in to us constantly, the street is also a rat run in the morning so the noise is non-stop. im sure there must be other good sites in the park. The roads are full of potholes as another review said, so watch your step at night time. HOWEVER - The up side is the staff are all friendly and check in was fine - i did ask to move but the park was full.

Positive- very clean amenities, helpful staffs, en-suite access for everyone( no shared toilet/shower), powered, cottages, beside the lake. Few metres away from Mercury Hotel (great lunch/dinner), Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Subway, Maccas, Kebab shop. Dog friendly. Has pool, laundry has 2 sites, camp kitchen. Good size sites. Good tv reception. Quick access to the main road to shops etc. But we enjoyed our stay here and felt safe the whole time. Clean site and well maintained grass. There are recyclable and general bins everywhere. There were lights coming from the en-suite so not too dark when you are out at night or walking the dog. Lots of birds. Negative- no wifi , pot holes everywhere

Utterly discussing for $600 a week this is what you really get but it's your choice. I think the photo's say it all. No wonder the staff are so aggressive about paying the full amount up front and their EFTPOS machine didn't even work I had to pay manually. Make sure you see the exact room you are going to stay in before you hand over any money. The government would have a field day in here. No smoke alarm and unsecured power out lets. They have sticks and twigs holding the windows shut because there are no clip locks on the glass windows so you will have to find new sticks to lock up your cabin if you break them and want to go out for the day. They have the sprinkers on at 9am on a warm October day so the atmosphere can soak the water up before the grass gets green. The park is very barron and dusty. The front desk staff are excellent con artists. Good luck if you stay here.

For where it is , the prime spot in Townsville , very out dated , what's with the orange cone' s over the drain holes , is there a fear of them collapsing , pave all of the road not just one side , the staff , office staff , could not get better friendlier people , ground staff , I'm here 8 hrs a day , and you want to talk to me as well ,,, if your ground staff want to treat it as a job ,, get rid of them , it's a lifestyle position , you want someone who can smile , be helpfull , " I asked one guy where the showgrounds were , he just shrugged his shoulders and walked off I know you can't do anything about the noise , but a better atmosphere would go a long way to improve it ,,,, I'm not trying to down grade your park , I'm trying to help you manage it better ,, no you don't need jumping castles or other kid stuff , your clientele is the traveler , look after them , and they will all ways want to come back , not as is when I was there , a vacant spot just fill it ,

Lovely staff very professional and welcoming at check in.Park could use some updating and TLC.Amenities need updating and roads are really bad especially when walking around park at night not much lighting and lots of potholes to trip in. Fantastic location just needs a really good overhall

I just love this place, the staff are so friendly and helpful. The ensuite and cabin were immaculate. It was extra dog friendly, the laundrette was large, cheap and clean. There's an abundance of wildlife that comes alive at night. We felt like we were somewhere else with all the palm trees around the pool. Beautiful place and wish we could have stayed longer.

A view of the lake (optional) which we had. So peaceful. Spent one night then returned for 2 nights. No traffic noise. We'll be back. Amazing helping staff, so friendly. Recommend you see for yourself. Count how many Curlews πŸ˜ƒ

Was a very nice park, staff friendly, everyone has own ensuite and they are very clean. It is situated close to all that you need. The only complaint we had was the road inside the park was full of pot holes and very large ones at that. Would be better if they were fixed.

No doubt everyone's stay is different. I found the reception staff on arrival friendly. I booked a couple of nights. The roads were in terrible condition in and around the park as per the photos. After setting up the caravan and returning at night there was an out-of-control insect problem. (See attached photos) we could not go outside. The park was overgrown in areas and some old sites were complete eyesores. We packed up and left in the morning. We requested a refund however the manager and owner did not support the request and said everything was out of their control. They did offer a credit for the rest of the stay however based on our experience I would never stay there again. On attempts to work to an outcome, their email reply was slow due to staff shortages and in the end did not reply to any emails. They were polite in correspondence. We went and stayed at Rowes Bay which was a better all-round experience.

This park has just been taken over by new management. Jo and her team were so accommodating. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure we had a good stay. We are very grateful.

Staff friendly. Park central and convenient. Sites good, ensuites dated but clean and road potholes need filling. We have stayed a couple of times and would stay there again.

We stayed on caravan site right on the main road, very noisy, hoons with cars and motor bikes. At back of sites was not grass, weeds. Value for price was extreme. Would not stay there again. Staff was very friendly..

Staff are friendly, great service. Will definitely stay again, on our next trip. Close to everything in Townsville. Very nice set up with individual ensures. Beautiful pool to lazy about in, while cooking on the bbqs

I stayed for around 3 weeks. Thought it was a great place to stay cabin was equipped with an oven as well as a microwave plates and cultry provided. The bed was comfy staff friendly and helpful. It is also close to all your shopping needs as well as take out. The pool always clean BBQ area is cleanned daily as well as camp kitchen. Camp kitchen have all the necessarys to cook suplied. The utensils are attached to the BBQ but there is water and washing liquid near to clean. They are pet friendly ontop which is Awesome. We had a marvellous stay and where sad to leave. Highly recommend.

A caravan park that is located beside a lake in Townsville. This is the only park where you will have your own individual shower room and toilet. But the price is a bit higher for a camp site. The kitchen wasn't too nice tho, like not cooking utensils no place to let you cook the meal except the BBQ area which you can only BBQ. The shelf in the fridge is broken so yeah.... But McDonald pizza hut subway everything just outside which is like less than 5mins walking distance. Overall it's just okay but an extra star for own private bathroom and walkability to those restaurant

I needed a place to work from my campervan for several days and this caravan park fit the bill perfectly. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, large sites, ensuite bathroom and lovely pool. Good value for money.

My stay there was a nightmare....staff should be transparent and inform potential guests of the issues with the traffic noise and the hoons who use the roads around the fast food outlets as their own private car track. The list of things wrong with this place is long. Would NOT recommend it at all. I paid $60 a night for an awful experience. Wouldn't stay there if they paid me!!

Unfortunately we found this park was very disappointing in many ways and also expensive. - The roads in the park where full of holes and we could see that they where trying to fix them with patches of concrete - the parking of cars alongside the roads made it look like a car park rather than a caravan park - very difficult getting into sites due to cars parked on the road - ensuites had rusty rails, doorframes falling to pieces & ants in the woodwork ( we had 2 as we had to move midway through our stay & both ensuites the same) - the pool was absolutely freezing & we met several other people there who felt the same & did not use the pool due to this reason ( maybe try solar heating as you certainly have the sun) -we had 2 sights & heard drag racing out on the main road every night so not a peaceful park - definitely recommend shopping around

Excellent location right next to the lake, lady on reception very helpful lending us pegs to put washing out, close to fast food outlets if walking.

We were happy with our stay at Townsville Lakes Holiday Park. We were in a powered site with our motorhome. We liked that everyone has their own separate ensuite, shower toilet. No sharing. We had a lovely view of the lake. We were also happy that we were parked on concrete considering the amount of rain that had fallen in the area. No mud or our van sinking into wet soil. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Nice pool area with a slide and close walk to shops.

Mother was permanent resident owned her own van and annex, she passed away , Manager stole her washing machine and annex door fittings very rude and dishonest, this was in 2014, clearly nothing to do with current management, was asked for a review so gave one , apologies for any inconvenience,

I was in cabin number 91 with my family and it wasn’t that good at all. It had ants on the beds, one light was working, the bunk beds were very uncomfortable. It wasn’t really great to see ants all over the bunks beds and the floors.

We stayed here on our way through to cairns …. Was told about this park by my folks who have stayed here a number of times … We overlooked the lake which was wonderful. Site came with a ensuite which was very handy. Yes they are old but everything worked well and they were clean would highly recommend as the mall was just a small walk from the camp Will be back again ..πŸ‘

Beautiful spot, met some lovely guests. The spot is a close 2 minute walk to a few other stores and is situated in a nice location. The staff are great and ensuites are clean and convenient. Truely have no complaints. Quiet location and loved our stay.

Helpful staff. Only spent one night in our motorhome on an en-suite site. We had electricity and water and the en-suite was spacious and clean. A bit pricey and site very small but I would over-nite there again.

Excellent location, mid way between city and JCU, and short walking distance to major shopping centre. Super friendly and helpful reception staff. Quiet, and safe. Will be back again for sure.

Well, we're close to the lakes for fishing, over the fence for drive through takeaway food. But...the noise from vehicles going through the drive through's is constant all night. Pack your ear plugs and sleeping pills to get you through the night if staying here.

Lovely clean cabin with pod coffee machine! Neat and tidy and staff were very helpful and friendly. Enough Cutlery and crockery for 4 people and close to a lot of different food choices - within walking distance.
