This is a little known beach to tourists it's what I call a working beach for locals of Townsville. You come here to fish , walk dogs and generally kick back and watch the boats travel up and down the channel. Cape Cleveland is the dominating feature on the skyline. It's not a glamorous or stunning beach it sits next to the port and other working endeavours but it's surprisingly clean. If you just need an interlude come here - the wind will always be blowing for you. It's best experienced at low tide.

Fantastic little spot that also serves as an off leash dog park.

Good spot if you are chasing some flathead but you have to beat the dog owners 🐶

Go at high tide or you will experience quicksand, beautiful warm water just keep alert for crocs. And don't lose your keys like I did lol...

First time at this beach and loved it! Water was nice and not as crowded as Pallarenda. Would very much hope people could pick after their dogs.

Can be muddy at low tide but perfect for toddlers to get dirty and watch trucks

Lovely spot to chill but please keep your dogs on a lead. Mine were attacked 2 days ago do to an irresponsible dog owner.

Off leash beach for dogs .. a relatively unknown gem

Has a variety of conditions including, rock wall, mud flats, beach, creek and river estuaries. Good place to teach kids fishing, crabbing and casting a net.

Secret beach is no secret but it's hard to find....I did find it and it was an alright beach....5 out of 10

Pretty amazing til a bunch of idiots show up and let their dogs off. I just laugh at them because I know about all the fishing hooks etc that can cut your dogs paws up and more but hey.. I care about my pets not my fault if others don't.

unless you want to be a crocs next dinner id avoid swimming here.
