AVOID!
I
bought
a
1ct
trilogy
diamond
engagement
ring
from
F
Hinds
in
late
June.
Got
down
on
one
knee
soon
after.
Obviously
the
ring
was
supposed
to
be
a
reminder
of
that
magical
moment.
The
ring
snagged
on
everything
my
partner
wore.
We
took
it
back
for
repair
in
early
August
(2hr
trip).
Hinds
said
it
would
be
2
weeks.
I
needed
it
in
under
3
weeks
to
take
it
to
my
partner
on
a
long
haul
flight.
It
took
over
4
weeks.
I
was
abroad
with
her
then
with
no
engagement
ring.
I
collected
it
from
the
Trafford
centre
(another
2
hr
round
trip).
Got
home,
tried
it
out
on
a
handy
cushion,
it
still
snagged
(less
than
before,
but
enough
to
be
a
problem).
I
returned
it
again
(2hr
trip),
and
requested
a
refund
(I'd
lost
faith
in
the
ring
and
in
Hinds),
the
woman
said
she'd
have
to
send
it
to
head
office
to
verify
that
I
hadn't
removed
the
stones,
and
replaced
them
with
fakes.
It
was
promised
on
the
receipt
to
be
10
days.
It
took
an
extra
14
days.
I
tried
to
call
them,
as
I
had
many
times
before.
Very
very
rarely
do
they
answer
the
phone.
I
emailed
them
and
they
phoned
me
the
next
day.
They
wouldn't
refund
me,
they
said
they
couldn't
see
the
fault
(though
I
had
demonstrated
it
to
the
woman
in
the
store
when
I
returned
it).
The
manager
offered
to
replace
it.
I
accepted
this
as
it
seemed
my
only
option.
He
said
it
would
be
about
a
week.
A
month
later
I
called,
and
6th
attempt
I
dropped
lucky
and
they
answered.
The
woman
said
it
was
in,
and
I
would
have
been
sent
an
email
to
say
it
was
in
(I
checked
thoroughly
and
I
definitely
hadn't).
I
went
to
the
Trafford
centre
yet
again.
Tried
it
on
my
shirt...it
snagged.
I
demanded
a
refund
and
said
I
invoking
my
right
to
reject.
The
manager
said
he
would
call
head
office.
He
came
back
and
said
they
wouldn't
refund
me
as
in
their
opinion
it
was
fit
for
purpose.
So
it's
not
up
to
me
whether
it's
faulty,
it's
up
to
them.
So
we're
going
to
see
how
many
clothes
get
damaged,
and
based
on
that,
we'll
get
an
independent
third
party
report
on
it,
and
potentially
raise
a
case
through
trading
standards
or
the
credit
card
company.
So
if
you
want
good
customer
service,
and
perhaps
a
'customer
is
always
right'
type
of
service,
I'd
advise
you
to
go
to
a
smaller,
well
recommended,
local
Jewellers.
My
fiance
has
had
her
engagement
ring
around
3
weeks
in
6
month's.
PS
I
hope
the
moral
dilemma
of
whether
something
is
of
reasonable
quality
or
not,
being
solely
in
the
hands
of
the
seller,
isn't
lost
on
any
prospective
customers.
