After visit to sealife and going for dinner we spent our afternoon in Lego discovery and the kids loved it. I love that there is now a great mix of stuff for older and younger kids. It’s perfect for toddlers too but a great little softplay, duplo area, and also a free play area with little tykes cars. Their is plenty of Lego and activities for older kids as well as a larger softplay area, rides, a Lego show and activities through out the day led by staff. We went on bank holiday and it wasn’t as busy as I was expecting. This is pram friendly, has a little onsite cafe and toilets are easy to get to. There is some upsell in the cafe for Lego items but it’s pretty well priced for its convenience.

Went for my 9 y/o birthday and all three of our kids had a great time. Was there on a weekday and it was very quiet, didn't have to line up at anything and could do rides repeatedly. We did the VR experience which was an extra £5 each and it was good, but a bit short. I'd probably say worth it for the different experience. 4D cinema was good but the seats were quite tatty. Food deals for the kids were decently priced. It would be 4 stars if there wasn't so much pride stuff put up around the place.

We’ve made multiple visits here and my son has always loved it. Wait at the start is pretty quick. To begin there’s an interacting ‘making Lego’ section. After this they have a ride. Then a small section with model Alton towers, Blackpool pleasure beach and Man City. It then opens up into a large free roam area with 2 soft play areas for inter kids. There’s a car marking section with ramps to test them. There’s another ride and a coffee room.

Probably one of the best places to take your little ones. Ticket purchased with sealife centre as a bundle so works out cheaper. The over all service with staff is great, really friendly staff & very welcoming. This place is jam packed with fun activities, factual information about lego land which you can read & see & play in the legoland factory. The detail in the environment to the lights was just heaven for children. They have so many areas you can take your kids for endless hours of play. Two soft play areas, mini cinema entry, make your own lego car & race on ramps. They have a car track with small running bikes for kids. They have a ride you can go on as a family. Really good choice of food & drinks, hot drinks Plenty of seating area for famalies, huge carpark outside. But i would advise to bring your own packed lunch as you will save money. Prices are always ridiculously high in places like this. Does get busy on a weekend so i advise weekday as you'll have more time to do certain activities. They have lovely benny who is a legoland hero, if you know, you know. They do take a family photo at the beginning of the tour so that's nice. They have really cool sensory areas for toddlers. In all honesty my kids didn't want to leave this place. They have a instore legoland shop Throughout the whole place there are amazing lego sculptures. Over all very nice place to go, defo worth it it & will definitely return.

Pros: - Very engaging for the kids - Hardly any queuing to enter! They allocate a time so book in advance! - Lots to do and interact with (the main build room and racing room will be the highlight) - Free rides including the short 4d cinema experience. Some rides and play areas designed for under 5s, then others for slightly older. Caters well for wide age range. - Shop at the end is priced quite well (doubles up as a normal shop) - Worth it for adults too, miniature cities are great and you can go on most or all the rides. - Staff are great, very energetic and right positivity for the 'Lego Experience'. - Parking and transport is a doddle. Lots of free parking, it's right near a tram stop or you walk over to the Palazzo from the main Trafford Centre. Easy peasy. Cons: - On 23rd July 2023 visit they had refrigeration issues so no sandwiches for adults, but plenty for kids (kids sandwich would be fine for adults) so if you're trying to be healthy you're struggling. chicken burger under 400cals was an option I think - On that, aside from a very pink cafe in the Trafford Palazzo there isn't anywhere else nearby to eat. (As it's a seperate building from the main Trafford Centre) - The seating and eating area needs to be twice the size. It's clearly a popular place, and 23rd July was raining so no doubt busy, but it needs to address this soon if continue to be successful. - Drinks Freestyle Coke machine - again, only a third of flavours were an issue. You only find this out after buying the cup.

We enjoyed our morning at Legoland. I would recommend that this is for under 10s. It was quite in the morning but by lunch time but it was very busy. This place could be bigger and more. They could have more models and sections for older children. The creative station was good. However we struggled to hear her at times over the noise from outside. It would have hone better if she build it and had another member of staff to help her. Unfortunately the bag my daughter got did not have all the parts. This was sorted out but it took some time. Unsure if we will be back as my youngest is 9 and my older two struggled. You promote lego for anyone up to 99 years old, I think you should have areas for older children to be able to build and play.

Compared to Birmingham this fell slightly short but the kids and adults still loved it because it is lego! Only 3 hours given to explore, even though 4 is needed, so if you want a bite to eat that takes up precious time. Instead we did a take away for kids to get them the reusable lunch boxes and then did a take away for the adults elsewhere. Couldn't repeat the rides/building stations as there was only enough time to do things once - Only 2 movies compared to 3 to watch etc. Missed the Space building station completely at the end as out of sight out of mind. So that is the negatives out of the way. The kids loved the Ninjago temple and racing cars VR as well as the building stations. Will go back to the Birmingham one

With an adult free offer, this worked out with a donation to charity at £10 each for me and my daughter. To say this is the most I would pay to get in here is an understatemen. Very limited at what you can do, coffee shop very limited choice. Chicken, beef burger, and nachos. It's not really a great choice for the kids. Got my order wrong twice. Not the desk staff but the people cooking it. Few spoilt little brats allowed to run around with no manners. Three hour time limited. There's not much to do after an hour and a half! Wont be returning anytime soon.

What a fantastic place to go to and enjoy?! Even though some parts of the discovery centre were closed my kids had so much fun there! They could build endlessly and enjoy the results too. We'll visit soon again! 😁

Was good for kids. But was expecting more organized activities.. Felt not worth for the cost. Staffs are doing good work. Cafe didn't have any hot drinks and very less options. Lighting in few areas have to be improved for kids to enjoy. Kids play area definitely lacked light. Okay for a rainy day.

We had a fantastic experience as a group of 6. There was no wait as we had booked the tickets in advance. The kids loved the giant statue of Hagrid inside the store, along with the Ninjago and Star Wars statues outside the store. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were able to advise us on any questions we had. The beginning mini 'ghost train' type ride was lots of fun and we all got a bit competitive over who could score the most points shooting the skeletons. We all thoroughly enjoyed the 4D Dreamz ride inside the Discovery Centre (you will get wet slightly!!) along with the flying bike ride. They had lots of fun inside the giant soft play area and a look around the shop. You'll likely spend between an hour and a half up to 3 hours inside the Discovery Centre. The shop has some very rare and hard to find LEGO sets, and the prices aren't bad at all. A great day out for the family.

Visited 28/06/2023, visited with 2yr old granddaughter so limited to some of the rides but plenty of other activities such as multiple tables with Lego bits to play with and after the cafe on the first floor there is a young child slide near to a cow that they can sit on. There is also a Lego racing car that can be sat in just after the ‘hub’ circular area where a bingo type matching game was being played. The track area with flinstone’esque cars for small kids allows them to run around a police themed track. There is also a crafts room but didn’t look young child friendly, more for school aged kids. The surprise was on the way to the exit there is a space zone which in my opinion should be a main zone! Also a little everything is awesome dance area too. The shop at the end on the ground floor has a great selection of items ranging from sets that will set you back £££ to little baby grogu (Yoda) keyrings, including a decent sized duplo set area for younger kids. If your given the option to coming and buy tickets for Sea Life centre too and have the time then recommend you do both. It is an accessible location in the main with some rides etc not suitable for younger kids. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A brilliant and exciting place for both little ones and big ones! The 4d cinema is a real pleasure and adds to the day. Staff were very friendly and engaging with my 6 year old son. Would definitely recommend people to visit as part of the Trafford Centre day out. Thank you Legoland!

Absolute joke, I pay for a annual Merlin pass and they wouldn't let me in as I'm not a child, Just because I'm a adult it doesn't make me any less of a Lego fan, the only reason you got 2 stars instead of none is because of Izzy in the shop, If anyone is after a girlfriend izzy at the Lego discovery centre shop in Manchester might make a great choice, I've got fingers as fat as hotdogs so I don't have it but I gave her 20 minutes and she managed to pick all 12 figures no swaps or nothing, with a finger game like that she's definitely a keeper 👍🏼 Before you mention your adult evenings 19:30 is well past my wanting to leave the house time especially driving to Manchester.

Great experience for the kids. Lots of things to see. Several rides. What I liked most is the areas where kids can build their own lego. Also they can test their design skills on the earthquake building spot or the build and test your own race car. A nice day out with lots of memories to be made. Very friendly staff. Can only recommend that place.

Been here a couple of times, many years apart, two young boys loved it but can be very expensive lots of little additional activities takes makes this an expensive experience when you start doing everything especially with more than one child and the place isn’t the biggest once your done your done. But I’m sure if you ask the kids they’d give it 5 stars, unfortunately I’m no longer 8 and everything for me isn’t free any more, although slightly better value getting tickets to sea life and here at the same time

The place itself is great inside, lots of activities for kids to do. Anyone who loves lego should visit. My only issue is the ticket price, for a family of 4 with the activity packs it came to £70. This, in my opinion, is far too much for what is actually inside the discovery centre, at half price using a voucher it is worth it. But at full price I can't really recommend it

Great day out with the family plenty for the kids to do. We took a packed lunch but bought snacks there reason being the Lego Store is at the exit so we spent extra in there. The only downside and why I’ve given it 4 stars is I don’t think the price for adults is right your pretty paying to supervise your kids there it should be at least half the cost. We still enjoyed the day and it’s worth taking the kids.

Great experience and not too busy. Plenty of things to see and do through out the experience. Should recommend giving 2 hours minimum for the experience. Disabled access throughout and even has a small cafe for a little bit to eat in the main area.

Very big and spacious inside, lots to see and do! Wish I knew there were ride passes for disabled people, didn’t know they existed until we were leaving and saw someone with one. Toilets were clean, signage is great and easy to understand. Only negative comment would be about the 4d cinema experience there’s no times of when each movie starts like the one in Birmingham, this would be helpful.

It was our first visit and our children (3&5) were very excited. They loved miniland, kingdom quest, space mision.4D cinema was good and car rides and earthquake tables were their favourite. It was nice day out with kids. Only thing which bothered me was dirt on your lego. I am sorry I know that people are touching it, but it was discusting! It was not just dust and it definitely was not just dirt from couple of days. So please if you use brush to clean it, that would be much of help....... My children will be happy to visit again in the future, but I am not sure abou it.......

Would like to leave a very positive review of our visit we made oh Tuesday 3rd of August. First of all, we enjoyed our visit, our 2 year old absolutely loved it and we would return, but I would like to in particular give a staff member a massive thank you and praise. we had had a longer than planned journey to get to the centre, having travelled down from Sheffield on Monday and finding out that the trams were down on the day. We had to get a replacement bus and then another bus to take us to the centre. We also had our 5 month old with us who desperately needed feeding. I took her out of her pram whilst queueing up to have our tickets checked (we had booked for 1pm and arrived around half past). Well I suffer with really bad anxiety and my baby is breastfed, but needs must, as we had a very impatient toddler who was already losing her patience. A lady who was working in the shop (I thibk she had dark hair? Wearing a lego branded face mask), saw me feeding and came up to me and said "ma'am, you are SUPER WOMAN". Well that made my day, I had a little happy cry to myself. I just wanted to try and personally thank her from the bottom of my heart. We haven't had the best journey with breastfeeding and up until she made that comment I was very anxious and aware that I was being looked at and could feel myself going red with embarrassment. Whoever you are, THANK YOU and I hope this message gets to you. We unfortunately live in a world where such topic is still a difficult one to talk about and you have given me the courage to be able to feed anywhere.

A couple of good rides and a small amount of displays that are cool. There is a 3D cinema and a (poor) cafe ; but overall this is very overpriced for what it is. We went during COVID circumstances and there are lots of hand sanitisers and marking for social distancing but there is absolutely zero enforcement of it, so people cram in along queues for the rides, and most did not wear face masks. Found this really unacceptable that the staff did not enforce these measures they still take full fee. Would be a basic health and safety measure to implement but was absent. Also one of the main rides was closed. Expensive and if you can spend 2 hours here, you’d be lucky. Won’t be back.

Took our 2.5 yr old using the Merlin BOGOF voucher at 10am on the last Sunday before the schools went back. There was no queue on arrival and had no issues booking in. It ended up being a really nice morning, our daughter really enjoyed the little tikes cars (a bit too much, couldn't get her off them), the kingdom quest game and the small soft play area. There was a pirate dance party that started later than advertised, but was led by a very enthusiastic guy. It wasn't so much a dance party as a photo opportunity, I don't think there actually was any dancing and the parents were a bit confused lol, but the kids loved it. We had two large costa coffees with soya milk at the cafe for a reasonable £6. Visited the toilets and they weren't in a good way, however as we left a cleaner was rushing in armed with toilet paper and cleaning supplies. We left at 12.30, could have stayed longer but it did get very busy and our little one was melting down. The exit was fun, we had a mini dance party of our own. Appreciated the free Lego dots set and badge on the way out too. In previous reviews cleanliness was mentioned quite a lot and although yes, some of the models were a bit dusty, I have to say this is the first indoor kids play centre we've been to where we didn't all come down with colds/bugs after. I would agree that this place is better suited to 2-6 year olds, although there is a Ninjago soft play area for older kids that looked great.

Visited for 4th Birthday. Spent about 3 hours here, including a lunch stop. The rides were good fun and little one loved them, plenty to interact with, friendly helpful staff . We went when it was fun booked but it didn't feel overcrowded. Lunch options were OK- Sandwiches, paninins, wraps, crisps and cakes/biscuits.

Visited for the Adult Night and it was a brilliant experience. We love Lego, so it's great that there's an opportunity for us to play and have fun too. The rides were fun, especially Kingdom Quest, which I'd have happily gone on several more times. Staff were fun and friendly, and showed us round the different activities available as it was our first time visiting. The night we visited had an under the sea theme, so we played find the shark in the box of bricks, competed to build a turtle quickly, built and raced little Lego cars, and created our own little brick goldfish. We didn't get chance to try the Lego bingo or the VR experience this time, but we'll definitely be visiting again.

Enjoyable day with 9 and 5 year old children. Enough to keep them entertained for over 3 hours. Short queues, friendly and helpful staff. They particularly enjoyed VR ride, this was an extra £5 per person. Would recommend to others.

Brilliant place for children 3-11. My two (9 and 11) went off and did their own thing safe in the knowledge I was close by in the cafe watching what they were doing. There are plenty of tables to sit at and the food is reasonably priced. I do however have a Merlin pass so got 20% discount off food. The shop (which you have to walk through to exit) is well stocked and is very hard to get the children out of! There is also a time limit although no one actually checks to see if you have gone.

Not worth the money. I know we are currently in strange difficult times but there's no excuse. We were fortunate to arrive a little early and joined the queue. It took us until 10:15 to get in (scheduled at 10am). We had to do the first ride as soon as we went in as there was no going back. In the queue for 5/10mins. We get in the large area to be given a small bag of Lego to build a car. The cinema and Merlin ride weren't open at that time. The Duplo area and cars weren't available at all. The cinema opened (the film was ok) but it only played 4 or 5 times. I'm not sure everyone got in. The Merlin ride was only available for an hour. Due to the numbers in the place and the lack of things to do the queues weren't great. We'd no sooner had done these two experiences there was an announcement to say the place was closing. As we were leaving the bags of Lego were taken from some customers but not others. I'm not sure why, it was this way. All I got when I ask was some kind of grunt noise. It was ridiculously overpriced for what we got, less than 2 hours most of which was spent in one queue or another. We won't be going back.

This attraction has a lot of Lego, obviously, and if Lego (or Duplo) is your thing you can spend many happy hours constructing stuff. There are also a few rides which are OK but nothing special, and a 4D short film that was rather tacky I felt (though the kids enjoyed being sprayed with water). The pre-built areas with Manchester and other local areas was OK but not amazing when compared with (say) Legoland Windsor. The 11 year old who was with me enjoyed filling out the activity sheet, but the ID sticker "prize" was disappointing. Also, although a few pieces of free Lego were given out at the end, they were just the tiny single cylinder pieces. I would do away with the two existing "prizes" and just have one better prize for completing the activity sheet. Overall it's a reasonable attraction for kids, but not 5 star.

Parking is free because both ( Lego land and Sea life ) are located in a shopping centre , at the ground floor and they have the size of a Primark store so you don t need more than 2 -3 hours to visit both attractions , if you buy combi tickets . Some attractions are closed because of the virus . Good experience for kids , especially for the small ones . Pictures costs about 25£ as a pack of 3-4 .

This place is great - my boy is 8 and he was playing non stop his entire time here. It’s a tad pricey - but then it’s Lego, it’s always pricey! The displays are great and there’s a few rides and play areas. You can kill a surprising amount of time here considering it’s not a huge place. Good fun, worth a visit for sure.

  • 2/5 Georgina U. 3 years ago on Google
The staff are really lovely but the entertainment isn't really there. It was ok due to social distancing, but I can't even imagine how hectic it must be on a normal day. The local Lego display was nice. It wasn't the worst place to visit but I can't imagine it is worth the price of admission.

We were so excited to see Legoland again after so many years with my two little boys. Our tickets were expensive for what they were and had very limited time - from 10.20 until 13.00 Overall it was a rather underwhelming experience, it was a lot smaller than it use to be. Cars were no longer electric and only for very little children making a very fun experience limited. We loved the two rides, shooting and peddling rides along with the 4D cinema. There wasn’t enough time to get around everywhere, had to quickly try and get everything in while watching the clock. Don’t go on busy days if you would like a full relaxed experience.

We took our 4 year old Grandson here as part of his Xmas present. He absolutely loved it. There was 2 rides he got to go on and we went in the cinema and loved getting sprayed with water and bubbles through the show. It's not very big and we spent 3 hours there although he didn't want to leave.

We came on Friday (1 day ago) and had the most amazing time! I have a 6 year old boy and 2 year old girl and both of them kept saying 'this is the best day' the staff were so friendly but my 2 both took a shining to James who was just amazing and a massive credit to your team. He was so helpful when it came to building there cars and also full of fun. We had such an amazing day and we can't wait to come back again. We were lucky and it was nice and quiet, there was alot to do and we had great fun on the ride you have to peddle don't think I've laughed so much in a long time. My daughter won the bingo and has not put her prize down(some lego duplo) only down side I'd my son absolutely loved the first ride and obviously with current situation with it being one way system we could only go on once, he soon forgot about it though when he was playing and watching the 2 short films on in the cinema. Hopefully next time we come we can go on it more and he can't wait to try out driving his own police car. Would definitely recommend!!

All good, some pretty big attractions in there closed, not because of Covid but because they're being refurbished.

Went 2 months ago. Paid full price. Soft play area closed, one of the rides was closed, the cinema was 3d not 4d and had a 12minute film. Paid £16ish pound per ticket to literally borrow some lego pieces. However staff were very friendly.

Really disappointed with Legoland. The pieces of lego given to kids are too small and quite technical. It is difficult for a 3 1/2 years old kid to build anything enjoyable . Too dark inside. My son fell down couple of times on the stairs at the race car slide. Also dark inside the first ride... feels like a "scary" ride. We wait to get on it for about 15 minutes (each is a lot waiting for a over excited kid) and feels like I waste my and the kid time. As a result he didn't want to enjoy any other queue . The softplay was closed. They should relocate it to avoid kids disappointment.

Ok for kids but make sure you follow the arrows as you'll miss the queue for the small ride. Incredibly dark in places and the café is expensive and have very limited sandwhich selections for adults (pizza!? Cheese/ham toastie & cheese/ham) kids butties are ham or chicken. Kids meal deal is £5.95 butty, small tub of pringles, small pack of sweets and a drink, café taking card payments only. Play areas were shut because of Covid-19. Small ride in play area was open and allowed to be used.

    Love it

Standard facilities not good for toddlers especially when the soft play isn't open

  • 4/5 Billy B. 3 years ago on Google
for the kids Kids loved it... I expected a bit more and think it's silly for the adults to pay to enter as it is mainly catering... Good day anyways

My lad and I love this place - friendly staff trying *really* hard to make it all work, through these Coviddy Times.

Great indoor Legoland play area for young children and have a café built for adults to relax whilst easily able to keep an eye on their children in their play area with multiple activities. Also the 4D cinema was great!

Very good day out with lots to do. Ninja hunt, rides, several indoor soft play areas and lots of Lego making activities. Not very busy and plenty of space. A*** from us follow me on Instagram kellyxxoox or on Google maps for more reviews.

Great time for the kids with VR experience, short movies, soft play, a ride and of course lego building. Finding the ninjago's game :) pictures attached so the kids don't miss out.

Lots of things for children to do!! Toy cars to race around it, theres a climbing wall, soft play area for younger kids and a more adventurous soft play area for older kids. Lots of little ninja models and Lego buildings with tasks to get!! Amazing photography skills by the staff, which is an amazing touch to take home!!

What an experience! My son has complex additional needs and everyone was very helpful so that definitely made the day run smoother. To the lego! ... oh my goodness! So I'm a self proclaimed nerd anyway but wow having somewhere for me and the kids to safely get our geek on was awesome there are so many little places to build and test your own creations!! And the display models are so detailed and such work has gone into them... we were blown away!! We will definitely be returning and my son hasn't stopped talking about his lego friends ❤ thank-you so much legoland crew members ❤

My 2 year old loved it. So much to do, could easily spend hours here. Staff very friendly thoroughly enjoyed it. The gift shop is overpriced but as it is Lego this was to be expected.

  • 3/5 Paul A. 2 years ago on Google
The shop was great. But we couldn't visit the discovery centre because we had no children with us so we're not allowed in.

  • 4/5 robert c. 2 years ago on Google
The kids loved the rides and the 4d movie. I could have done with more places to sit, and also on a winter's day I ended up carrying round the coats, as it was warm inside. Could have done with lockers

Half of the attractions were closed, wouldn’t except kids birthday money in the gift shop. Wouldn’t recommend this place.
